Hi John,
When we tried pushing the data using excel addin, it gives an error
Your software license does not include the ability to update the data thru the spread sheet.Please contact your administrator.
We are also unable to save the data thru forms.

Please check to ping the BI server IP 10.1.45.35 from your XI server , in case its working you can check telnet to SAP standard port like 3201/3601/3301/3901 etc.
It seems to be connectivity issue only.
Make sure your both the systems are up and running.
Revert back after checking above stuff.

Read timed outIt seems that either your TP's server is not accepting these requests (due to heavy load)/ message size is too large that HTTP timout has occured. Possibility for later case is low because only 25% messages are erroring out. Anyways, you may like to tune your B2B system and test again -

Error while downloading data into excel file.

Hi,
    I have a requirement to download data available in xstring to excel file.
I have a RFC which has export parameter 'file_data' of type xstring. When i call RFC
from web dynpro abap application it gives data out pout in xstring format.
I am opening excel file using that xstring data as below

But excel file not coming in correct format. its giving an error while download
excel file
Error is
      " the file you are trying to open , 'file[1].xls', is in a different format than
specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from
a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now? "
If i click on 'YES' button file opening but not in proper excel format. Data is coming
in tab delimiter format in excel file.

Getting an error while retrieving ASO through Excel-Addin

I am getting an error while retrieving ASO cube via Excel-Addin. when i try to expand dimension, i am getting the following msg box,
"No message for message #1270041 in message database"
Can somebody help me out, your help will be greatly appreciated.
I am also making sure that the members does not exceed the 65XXXX limit even than i m getting this error.
Secondly, how can i increas the cache value and on what parameters i should be looking for changing the cache value.

Getting error while submitting data to excel workbook through excel services in InfoPath 2010

Hi,
I have a requirement where in have to fetch the calculated values from the excel workbook through InfoPath 2010 form.
When I am submitting cell value to excel workbook using SetCellA1 by executing following action:
"Submit using data connection: dataconnection"
I am unable to submit form. It is giving "there has been an error while processing the form" in the front end. I checked the event viewer and it displayed following exception:

I was successfully able to submit the form using InfoPath client but it is giving error in the browser.
Is there any way or configuration that I should do to resolve this issue.

I have created a VO which is based on Query(Not based on EO) and the Query is as follows:

Based on this VO I have created a search page which will search and returns data from the table and finally standard export button will export the data into excel sheet.
In this am searching the data based on above 5 attributes. Without entering anything in the messageTextInput if i am clicking GO button, it is returning all the data into the table region. After this if i click on Export Button, data are getting exported into Excel Sheet. It is fine.
But if i am searching the data by entering any value in any of the messageTextInput, it is returning data. But if i am clicking the Export Button then it is throwing the following error:

Error While Sending Data for Currency Translation

Hello Experts,
I am trying to send data via template. Data is getting saved but I am getting following error displayed.
1.) When I try to enter data for a particular month then, error as FX-200.
2.) When I try to enter data accross months of more than year then , FX-045 and FX-310 error.
I had look on various SAP Notes available for the errors.
As per them, I ran Full optimization, I checked rates are maintained for previous year too, I checked for LC Currency Type Property is maintained as L.
But nothing Worked.
Currently only the 3 members are maintained in Rate Dimension, so exceeding the size limit cannot be an issue.
Kindly Suggest, what could be another possible reason for the errors.

Error while loading data from EXCEL to OWB

Thank you. I got way.
I did in the following steps...
1. I created system dsn odbc_excel.
2. I created initSID.ora
3. I updated in the listener.ora.
4. I created a soure module in odbc in owb.
5. I created destination module in oracle where I want to load the data from excel.
6. I am able to get the metadata of excel.
7. I created a mapping.
8. Validation and Generation phases completed successfully.
9. At the time of deployment I got the following error.
ORA-06550: line 16, column 22:
PL/SQL: ORA-04052: error occurred when looking up remote object odbc_excel.EmployeeRange@EXCEL_SID.US.ORACLE.COM@CONNECTOR_EXCEL_OWB_SRC_DEST

--excel_sid is the service name given in listener.ora.
--connector_excel_owb_src_dest is the connector from soruce to destination.
--Employee range is sheet name of excel.
I am fighting with this problem from past few days...

Maybe you can consider save excel as .csv files and then you can load them as flatfiles to external table in OWB.

Error while importing data from excel to forms

Hi,
I am working on Oracle forms 10g, and I'm supposed to import data from excel sheet to forms.
While the user enters the data,sometimes after entering a particular word he/she hits the alt+enter button.
As a result the data appears in two lines in a single row
So,when I try to import the data it's not importing the data in a right manner.
S0,I want to replace this linefeed and carry with five spaces.
Eg:The user instead of entering Geekpedia enters Geek
pedia
in the excel sheet.
Now when I import this in the forms I want it to be imported as Geek Pedia.(5 spaces between Geek and pedia).

Maybe you can consider save excel as .csv files and then you can load them as flatfiles to external table in OWB.

Error while sending data to a subroutine in script

While passing a currency field for calculation to a subroutine through perform statement iam getting runtime error saying "unable ti interpret 5000.00 as a number. 5000.00 is nothing but the first currency value which iam sending for calculation.in the code the error is raised on the bold line .
rf140-wrshb has value 5000.00 .the code which i have written in subroutine is as follows.

If you are using IBM WebSphere Application Server as the application server, then update the xlDataObjectBeans.jar file as follows:
Note:
Ensure that you perform these steps after you have performed the procedure described in "Upgrading Oracle Identity Manager on IBM WebSphere Application Server".
1.
In a Web browser, connect to the WebSphere administrative console by using a URL of the following format:
http://HOST_NAME:PORT/admin
2.
Log in by using the Oracle Identity Manager administrator account that you specified during installation.
3.
Click Applications, and then select Enterprise Applications.
4.
Select Xellerate application.
5.
Click Export.
6.
Save the xellerate.ear file to a temporary directory.
7.
Extract the xlDataObjectBeans.jar file from the xellerate.ear file.
Note:
Ensure that you extract the xlDataObjectBeans.jar file and not the xlDataObjects.jar file.
8.
Copy the xlDataObjectBeans.jar file into the OIM_DC_HOME\xlclient\lib directory.
