Error while trying to duplicate a database

Question

I've got the following problem with rman-duplicate (oracle 10gR2) (see also: [this thread|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=4446855#4446855])
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================

RMAN-03002: failure of Duplicate Db command at 07/22/2010 10:49:05
RMAN-03015: error occurred in stored script Memory Script
RMAN-06026: some targets not found - aborting restore
- followed by the list of all datafiles
I've made a full backup of the target database right before the duplicate. Rman reports (list backup; crosscheck backup) the availability of all database backups with all its datafiles.
Unfortunately in my case the reported very strange "shutdown abort"-"startup" - workaround doesn't work.
Has anyone any other hints - or is it just a serious bug (which would prevent me from further time-wasting trials ...).

EDIT:
Now I realize that there is a "released channel" - message just before the Error message. But I don't think this is the reason for the trouble, but part of the ERROR-treatment.
