Error while using ajax addParam function in on demand process
Hi ,
I am calling an on demand process from a javascript that inserts value from a modal from into a table.
function f_insert_transaction()
var ajaxRequest = new htmldb_Get(null, $v('pFlowId'), 'APPLICATION_PROCESS=insert_manual_transaction',73);
ajaxRequest.addParam('x01', $v('P73_ARRANGEMENT_ID'));
ajaxRequest.addParam('x02', $v('P73_TRANSACTION_DIALOGID'));
ajaxRequest.addParam('x03', $v('P73_CUSTOMER_NAME'));
ajaxRequest.addParam('x04', $v('P73_CUSTOMER_NUMBER'));
ajaxRequest.addParam('x05', $v('P73_SALES_ORDER'));
ajaxRequest.addParam('x06', $v('P73_SO_LINE'));
ajaxRequest.addParam('x07', $v('P73_INVOICE'));
ajaxRequest.addParam('x08', $v('P73_INVOICE_LINE'));
ajaxRequest.addParam('x09', $v('P73_ITEM'));
ajaxRequest.addParam('x10', $v('P73_ITEM_DESC'));
var ajaxResult = ajaxRequest.get();
alert(ajaxResult);
ajaxRequest = null;
}The insert works fine as long as item names range from x01 - x10.
When I add the below
ajaxRequest.addParam('x11', $v('P73_QUANTITY')); The insert stops working, and the alert displays the following error message :

Hello:
You could concatenate the page-item values into a single string where the values are separated from each other by a suitable delimiter ( a colon for example) and set, x01, to this concatenated value. You could then decompose this concatenated string in the ODP used in the AJAX call to obtain the individual values.

Error while using user defined function in reports
Hi,
When I use the below user defined function in oracle reports I got the wrong number of arguments error
select test_function(id,a_number,v_date-14,b_number) from dual;
If I remove -14 from the argument it works. But iIneed to subtract 14 days from the date.
Thanks for your help.select test_function(id,a_number,v_date-14,b_number) from dual;
you have to give the command like this to_date(v_date,'dd-mon-yyyy')-14
because the v_Date you choose in the parameter form is not having the corrent date format
the format dd-mon-yyyy is the format in which v_date is passed by the user. -
Error while using the validate function in SwitchExec
I have created a Route in SwitchExec for connecting channels COM0 and COM1 for a particular switch in SwitchExec. I get the error: (Hex 0xBFFA0001) Instrument error detected.
The same connection works fine when run directly through the LabWindows/CVI function panel.
Has anyone faced a similar problem?This error comes from the instrument driver, not switch executive. If this is a driver you developed, I suggest debugging the driver using the simple application that does the same thing as the validation process:
- open niSE session
loop through all routes
- connect route
- disconnect route
end loop
loop through all route groups
- connect route group
- disconnect route group
end loop
- close niSE session
You can write this application in CVI, and use the debug version of your driver which I presume is written in CVI. That way you can step through your driver's SetPath function (which is called from NI Switch Executive) and see why it fails with the 0xbffa0001 error.
You can also reuse existing NI Switch Executive sample programs in C
VI to reproduce the problem you were seeing in the validator.
If the driver is provided by a third party, and you have the source code for it, you can try the same procedure as above, and then either fix the driver yourself or inform the original developers about the problem.
If the driver did not come with a source code, then contact the company that provided the driver with the way to reproduce a problem.
For future reference, when you run into a problem that looks like it is coming from the specific driver (which was the case here) it would help if you also mentioned which driver did you use.

Try using:

If that wasn't the problem, what is the error you are getting?

ORA-00902: invalid datatype comile error while using CAST function
Hi everyone,
I'm getting ORA-00902: invalid datatype compilation error while using CAST function.
open ref_cursor_list for select empName from TABLE(CAST(part_t AS partnumberlist));
The partnumberlist and ref_cursor_list is declared in the Package spec as given below.
TYPE ref_cursor_list IS REF CURSOR;
TYPE partnumberlist IS TABLE OF emp.empName%TYPE;
The error points the partnumberlist as invalid datatype in TOAD because of this i'm unable to compile the package.
Any suggestion
Thanks and regards

Error while using substring function

Edited by: user10441472 on Jun 24, 2009 12:49 PMSubstr("Fin Account".ASSET_NUM, 1, instr(Fin Account".ASSET_NUM, ':')+1)
or
Substr("Fin Account".ASSET_NUM, instr(Fin Account".ASSET_NUM, ':')+1,50)
i think you should use 3 parameters, did you try that if it would work?
additionally check what is the default format of your data: go to column properties -> data format; if its text then ok; otherwise you will have to cast the number to char; in such a case the above could be:
Substr(cast("Fin Account".ASSET_NUM as char(20)), 1, instr(cast(Fin Account".ASSET_NUM as char(20)), ':')+1)
or
Substr(cast("Fin Account".ASSET_NUM as char(20)), instr(cast(Fin Account".ASSET_NUM as char(20)), ':')+1,50)

Error while using RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ : parallel processing error
Hi
I am also facing parallel processing error while using the function module RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ in transformation.
when only one data package is there, the load happens without any issue. But when multiple data packages are involved the load fails with an error "Exception in parallel processing".Hi Lijo,
I got the following information from the function module documentation of the FM RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ.
If neither I_SAVE_IN_FILE nor I_SAVE_IN_TABLE are set, then the return takes place in the form of packages (that is an internal table), of value I_PACKAGESIZE. A negative value means that the return should be in one package.

Inconsistent FOTY0001: type error while using translateFromNative
I am getting FOTY0001: type error while using translateFromNative function in assign activity.
This error happens only in the below scenarios:
1. Create a BPEL process with file input adapter that accepts simple xml string as input and accepts files like input*.txt.
2. Create a simple XSD(Fixed Length native XSD) and convert the simple string to XML using translateFromNative function and copy it into a variable.
3. Switch off the process
4. Put atleast 10 input*.txt files in the folder and switch on the process.
This error doesn't happen when I put one file at time.. Even when I put multiple files, the error happens for few instances inconsitently.
Here is our assign activity
<assign name="Assign_1">
<copy>
<from variable="PlantChemMsg" part="Chemistry"
query="/ns2:Chemistry/ns2:chemistryString"/>
<to variable="tempChemistryString"/>
</copy>
<copy>
<from expression="ora:translateFromNative(bpws:getVariableData('tempChemistryString'), 'ChemistryLegacy1.xsd', 'Root-Element')"/>
<to variable="ChemistryOut" part="Root-Element"
query="/ns8:Root-Element"/>
</copy>
</assign>
Here is the error in group log:
ORABPEL-09500
XPath expression failed to execute.
Error while processing xpath expression, the expression is "ora:translateFromNative(string(bpws:getVariableData('tempChemistryString')), 'ChemistryLegacy1.xsd', 'Root-Element')", the reason is FOTY0001: type error.
Please verify the xpath query.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
-SridharJames,
Thanks & Sorry for the late reply.
I used assign activity just because I have only one source and target element.
This error happens even with transform activity.
Also, all the input messages are same. So It is definitely not the issue with the input message.
One observation I did is:
The error doesn't occur when I use like below(Full Http url):
ora:translateFromNative(string(bpws:getVariableData('tempChemistryString')), 'http://psc-d674943.hdq.uss.com:7777/orabpel/default/TestTranslateFromNativeError/1.0/ChemistryLegacy1.xsd
', 'Root-Element')
But occurs when I use like below.
ora:translateFromNative(string(bpws:getVariableData('tempChemistryString')), 'ChemistryLegacy1.xsd', 'Root-Element') -

As this is a beta, some functionality may not be operational yet, so I can't answer why this particular feature seems not to work.
