Errors in flatfile
hi,
i have an internal table(uploaded the records from flat file) comprising of 7 fields,
all the fields are of type c.
i need to find if there are any errors in those records.(don't need to correct them)
for example: if the field length do not match it is an error record.
to find if field length matches or not i used string operation STRLN(f)
f is one of the fields in the internal table of field length 10.
IF STRLN(f) <> 10.
WRITE : / 'ERROR RECORD'.
ELSE.
WRITE : / 'CORRECT RECORD'.
i should not use either call transaction or session method
incase if the record has anyother errors then how to identify those errors.

If you want to find out length of the field you can even use this one
DESCRIBE FIELD FLD length len_i
IF len_i gt 10.
WRITE : / 'ERROR RECORD'.
ELSE.
WRITE : / 'CORRECT RECORD'.

Error in flatfile load - date not compliant with user date settings
Hi,
I want to load a flatfile into BI 2004s.
so i created a flatfile datasrource, transformation etcetc.. all fine so far.
the file contains 2 dates in format YYYYMMDD and are loaded in DATS infoobjects (also yyyymmdd).
but when i load the data into the PSA it immediatly dumps with error message "19771009 does not match the user-dependent date format --> long text"
the long text sais 19771009 does not correspond to the date format that is assigned to the current user BIWREMOTE. which is correct.. cos there date is DD-MM-YYYY
when i change the date format in the user settings to YYYY-MM-DD it works fine...... in the forground. In the background,whatever i do, it dumps with this errormessage.
so i have 2 questions:
since when is, while loading to the PSA, the date format linked&checked with the date format in the user setting? i cannot recall ever having this issue.
did anyone encounter this problems.

while executing the Flat file (txt) to xml file scenario, the txt file picked up from my source directory, but i could not find in my target directory.
when i check message monitoring, it is showing successful.

IN sender CC, i used file content conversion(mesage protocol), file name scheme xi_input.txt
In receiver CC , I used file (message protocol),file name scheme xi_output.xml
In both CC , transport protocol is FTP.
so i gave server name, port, username, password.
could you help me out to find the error for this scenario also?

Error while creating more than 100 users using Flatfile Recon
Hi,
I am trying to create users in OIM 9.1 using flat file recon. The recon works when I have less than 100 users in the flatfile. But if I add more than 100 users to the file, the recon does not create all users. Less than 50 users get created in OIM if the number of users in the flat file is more than 100. I get the below error in this scenario.

Is there any maximum limit to the number of users created in Flatfile recon? I also get lot many errors following the above error. Please suggest

Loading data from flatfile to relational table,i am getting SQLLDR error

While loading data from flatfile to relational table,i am getting SQLLDR error and i am unable to proceed further.
Source is a flatfile and target is a Oracle database,i used "LKM file to oracle(SQLLDR)" and "IKM sql control append"
and ran the interface.When i checked the seesion in operator window" after generating "CTL file" successfully
the session got failed at "Call sqlldr" and was not able to proceed further.

when am loading the data from flat file iam getting error "ERROR4 WHEN LOADING THE EXTERNAL DATA" is it because of mapping in the transferrules or error in the flat file.

The reasons may be the file is open, the format/flatfile structure is not correct, the mapping/transfer structure may not be correct, presence of invalid characters/data inconsistency in the file, etc.
Check if the flatfile in .CSV format.
You have to save it in .CSV format for the flatfile loading to work.
Also check the connection issues between source system and BW or sometimes may be due to inactive update rules.

I am getting the error while collecting the FlatFile related custom InfoCube that the cube is not in the version A. I did checked that the cube is in the Active version i.e. Revised Version = Active Version; Object Status = Active, executable.
Any idea how to resovle this issue ?

Diagnosis
You wanted to generate an object with the name 'PPY_C101' (in transport request CUBE) of type 'InfoCube' (TLOGO). This is, however, not available in the BW Repository database. It does not exist in the requested version A. If the version is 'D' then it is possible that an error arose during the delivery or installation. If the version is 'A' then the Object was either not created or not activated.

Error while loading data to ods object from flatfile
hello all
Iam loading data from flatfile to ods object and the processing type is PSA and then to data target(package by package),data arrived in PSA(its green) but in monitor the request is in red and in details tab of <b>subsequent processing</b> <b>its showing as ODS activation</b><b>?(change-log):not yet activated</b> and overall the error is <b>Missing Messages</b>.
and its also saying like "Activation of data records from ODS object ODS_SALES terminated.
and in help node its saying like data arrived in BW and try to change the request from red to green?
can anyone tell me what will be the problem?
In settings of ODS object everthing is set to automatically.

In monitor tab the <b>request</b> and <b>overall</b> the statuts is "<b>RED</b>",but when I went into the <b>mange</b> tab of ODS object here the request is "<b>GREEN</b>",but the data is not available here.but data is still available in "<b>New data</b>",how come data is not yet activated.
bcoz in settings all are set to "automatically",so there is no question of manual activation?
One more question is in Settings Iam finding one column like "<b>Unique Data Records</b>",whats's this,if v check this what happens ifnot what happens?

Get Error in source system when loading flatfile from application server
Hi
I'm loading data from flatfiles on the application server. In the datasource if I display the sample data. It shows fine.
But when I execute the infopackage I get an error when it is loading the data to PSA.
The error is
Error in source system
Message no. RSM340
There is no further information
But if I load from my machine it works fine.

It mean there is no issues in BW (File path is correct, Data in Flat file is correct).
Then definetely its with the source system, which is resisting to pass IDOC to BW.
Now.we need to know the its problem with File on App serv or App serv itself?
Just check trying to Load another Flatfile in App serv.

FlatFile that has no record giving error in BizTalk
Hi,
I have a flatfile that is partly delimited and partly positional. The Schema has a Root Node that is in delimited structure.
1st Child Record: Header (Delimited)
It has a Child Element --> Date
2nd Child Order: Main (Positional)
It has 2 child elements --> Old Order number and New Order number. Both of them 7 character long each.
3rd Child Order: Footer (Delimited)
It has a Child element --> Record Count
Sample file that has records are

002
Now if the files that has records arrive, BizTalk is processing perfectly. But when a file that has no records come, it is giving out an error.

Error: "There was a failure executing the receive pipeline. Source: FlatFile Disassembler. Reason: Unexpected end of stream while looking for \r\n. The line number where the error occurred is 3, column where the error occurred is 0.

Note: A blank line at the end of the file is that accounting for the CR LF. This shouldnt be the problem because if the file has record it works fine.
As you told I made the optional UpdateLineItem record as a sequence group. It still did not work. Let me know if you can provide some help on this. Thanks.

i'm loadin flatfile in bi 7
every thing is ok when i'm uploadin data in data source the followin error is occuring
1) Field IO_REV2 ( Position 4 ): invalid data type
2) RSUT_DATATYPE_GET_CHAR_LENGTH: Act. parameter I_DATATYPE= invalid
3) Field IO_REV2 ( Position 4 ): Template InfoObject I0_REV2 does not exist
4) Field /BIC/IO_PRC2 ( Position 7 ): Missing reference to currency field/unit field
can u plz let me know i check evry thing but i did/nt get solution

Are you sure that you wrote the correct InfoObject name? Because when I look at your third problem:
3) Field IO_REV2 ( Position 4 ): Template InfoObject I0_REV2 does not exist
it says Field IO_REV2 and InfoObject I0_REV2, which is not the same (there the letter o in the first one, and the number zero in the second). This is perhaps the origin of your problem.
Besides that, I would also check how you define its currency.

i hava a question... when i am uploading large amount of data (ex:1 lac records) in that 100 records are error records .. how to find the error records in flatfile before uploading.

The only way to find out errors is to open the file from abap read through each record and validate it.
However , my approach would be to read through each record, validate it, if valid process it otherwise collect it in another auxilary internal table and then in the end log the errors for later processing.

I was trying to create the Generic connector for the flat file reconciliation. But i was throwed into errors. I'm using 11.1.1.3 OIM and as well as SOA also. I have been following the OIM 9 document to create the GENERIC connector.

It seems like while updating few records may be no in the format of the field in which it is updated.
