Errors in Queries

Hello,
I am migrating queries from 3.5 to 7.0 and i get the following errors:
1. Exception1 is not correctly defined.
2. Node ' x 999' is not in hierarchy ' y ' for info object ' z ' .
Please suggest what i have to do.

1) Create SID

2)Create suitable database directories within oracle directory.

4)Create a password file using:

5)Create an instance of database

7)connect / as sysdba

For start database I give following command, but it gives me same error:

*1)There are one databases in my machine name "orcl"*
when I give commands
C:\> connect / as sysdba
C:\> startup nomount
When I run "connect / as sysdba", in this which database instance connect?
how the oracle will know to start mynewdb database instance in nomount? although I am not create database.
*2) Step "startup nomount". In this, which database started in nomount?*
*3) There is no reference for PFILE in CREATE DATABASE script. How the oracle will know which is the PFILE for database mynewdb?*
*4) I create password file, how the oracle will know password file for which database (in this case mynewdb database)? How to map password file with particular database?*

3) Check environment variables for ORACLE_HOME variable will let you know the location of the PFILE. By default it will be ORACLE_HOME/database (windows), ORACLE_HOME/dbs (LINUX/UNIX).
SET command will help you or use widows options.
In some other cases, the PFILE contains the link to it with IFILE value left in PFILE which should show the location.
4) Check environment variables for ORACLE_HOME variable will let you know the location of the password file. By default it will be expected in ORACLE_HOME/database (windows), ORACLE_HOME/dbs (LINUX/UNIX).

issue with fiscal year variant
error message: determination of characterstic fiscal year variant is not permissible
details of this
we have a multiprovider built on 4 cubes. the message says one of these cubes have different fiscal year variant value when compared to rest. but i checked them all and all have the same value.
i can see fiscal year variant in multiprovider but when i actually look for fiscal year variant in time dimention in my query definition i dont see fiscal year variant. and i am not able to create any query on this multiprovider.

Error runing Queries

hi guru´s,
i need your help in the following situation.
When i try to run some queries my operation is abrupted terminated by the error:
X299 Brain SAPLRRK0 FORM FEHLER_HIERA_INTVL_1-
I found the SAP NOTE:931975,but:
a) it refers to problems in X299 Brain SAPLRRK0 and don´t say nothing concerning to FORM FEHLER_HIERA_INTVL_1-
b) the note sugest to correct some programs and then install the support package (SP SAPKW35017) and i have already this SP instaled.

I have deleted a User Field that had a Formatted Search and now I can not remove it because it is linked according to a UF, the error message is as follows:

I have tried this very limited, but the formid, is this a number in your case?
SELECT * from cshs t0 inner join ouqr t1 on t0.queryid = t1.intrnalkey
where t1.qname = '[%0]'
Running this query I can get the form id that I need to recreate, but I have a feeling you already know the form id, is this correct?
- Is there an error when you try to recreate the form id?
- Will it not let you recreate the same form id because the id is given by the system?
If it is not possible to recreate the form id, please prepare a backup and log a message. Support should be able to correct the entry in table cshs.

It cannot happen that GW is throwing EMPLOYEECOLLECTI_GET_ENTITYSET is not implemented even after you have written code in that method by redefining it.
I could see that you are raising an exception in the code shared by you here . i.e.,
RAISE EXCEPTION TYPE /iwbep/cx_mgw_not_impl_exc
    EXPORTING
      textid = /iwbep/cx_mgw_not_impl_exc=>method_not_implemented
      method = 'EMPLOYEECOLLECTI_GET_ENTITYSET'.
Please remove above code and return your response as below.
copy_data_to_ref( EXPORTING is_data = et_tab CHANGING cr_data = er_entityset )
where et_tab is your local table where you would have stored the results which you intend to send back to GW. i.e., et_entityset in your case
Activate DPC class and check.
This should resolve the issue

-> program error,
need to apply bw support package or front end sp level.
you may search oss note
-> performance problem,
RSRT check read mode, cache etc
review modeling, query design etc
- query displays the unit "ERR" or the currency "ERROR"
Check the units or currencies and correct the
corresponding data records in the InfoProvider.
- query displays some formulat/ckf as 'X',
check if no values exist for basic kf, different
unit/curency in calculation

My BEX Query was running fine till yesterday in QAS system, but today when i try to execute either in RSRT/Analyzer i am seing this error:

Checked the Info providers, Tranformations - All are active.
Couple of reports which are based out of same MultiProvider are giving the same issue.
I could figure out where the problem is!
There is a RKF (in all the error giving queries) and 'GL Account' has been restricted with a Heirarchy 'ZZ21430 in it - but this restricted hierarcy is missing in 'RSH1'.
Dev system - 'ZZ21430' doesnt exist in RSH1 and query doesnt give any error, is running fine.
QAS system - 'ZZ21430' doesnt exist RSH1 and query is giving error!
What could be the reason for this?

Has anyone encountered similar issue while configuring dg4odbc....I never had trouble with hsodbc. Since hsodbc is desupported , We are evaluating dg4odbc and openlink odbc
drivers to establish connectivity to mysql and stuck at this point.
Any suggestion from gateway gurus ?

Hi gurus,
I am executing queries on the web directly. This can be done from query designer with the button that says "Execute query on web". The problem is that for queries that take more than 600 Secs to run, I get an Application timed out error. Queries that take less than this run smoothly.
Can anyone please tell me the profile parameter associated with this particular setting. It is not rdisp/max_wprun_time, I know for sure since the value for this profile parameter in my system is 9999. Please help.

Issue resolved.
Profile Paramter - icm/server_port_0
Current Value - PROT=HTTP,PORT=8000,TIMEOUT=60,PROCTIMEOUT=600
Changed to - PROT=HTTP,PORT=8000,TIMEOUT=60,PROCTIMEOUT=3600

VO Substitution Issue

Hi,
I have substituted a VO in standard way and imported the substitution as necessary.
The Original VO was created in Expert Mode and had a number of VL joining it to other VOs. The only change I have done is to add a new view attribute. For this I extended the seeded VO, pasted the original query and added a new column in the query.
Now this VO is used to generate data for xml publisher report. After Substitution, the report does not even show the values of original VO.
I dont have a page to see errors or queries. So my issue is how to debug what is going on?
I have seen that site level personalization is in place for VO substiution. Please help me out with suggestions

The issue I faced was resolved.
Like I mentioned the VO is used to generate an xml that is later used as data in xml publisher report. The xml is generated using procedure hraderVO.writeXML().

</HeaderVoRow>
</HeaderVo>
Now if we substitute the HeaderVO with say XXHeaderVO then the xml generated is
<XXHeaderVo>
<XXHeaderVoRow>
<Attribute1>data</Attribute1>
</XXHeaderVoRow>
</XXHeaderVo>
Due to this the xml publisher template tries to find the tags <HeaderVO> and cannot find it. So the solution is to change the template variables to <XXHeaderVO>. After this change all my custom data are coming correctly.

Sender Abap Proxy -- Receiver JDBC , catch communication channel exceptions

Hi All,
I have a sender abap proxy and a receiver jdbc asynchronous interface.
Now under some circumstances when I send some junk data for an update query(which satisfies metadata requirement but wrong primary key) it shows chequered flag in both XI and r/3.
But in communication channel it shows error.
Queries:
1. How do I handle this.
2. Since this is triggered from Abap wht will be subrc when method ends in this particular case.
3. Is there any possibility of program goin into dump?
