EUR Conversion to USD

I need a currency conversion in my bex query. I have defined a currency translation key with a assignment to the exchange rate type "M".
When I check the results in the query it works with exchange rate type "EURX" rather than "M".
teh global settings are upto date.
Exchange rates are in the TCURR

Ramesh

Read exchange rate from table TCURR
Description
1. If this flag has been deleted and the IMPORT parameter 'RATE' has been given a value greater than zero, the following applies:
a) If the exchange rate type transfered or diverted to 'TYPE_OF_RATE' has been fixed (tcurv-xfixd = 'X'), then the corresponding TCURR entry is read and the fixed exchange rate in the 'FIXED_RATE' parameter returned. If there is no TCURR entry, the error message SG105 is issued.
b) For exchange rates that are not fixed, the TCURR is not read.
2. Otherwise the TCURR is read and the error message SG105 is issued if the required TCURR entry has not been found.
The currency factor (TCURF) must have been maintained.

Trnsactions for Doing Currency conversion
If you are using SAP Netweaver 2004s and BI 7.0, use Tcode RSCUR
RRC1 Create Currency Conversion Type
RRC2 Edit Currency Conversion Type
RRC3 Display Currency Translation Type
Transaction for maintaining currency translation is OBBS and for exchange rates OB08
Step by step procedure (sample with example)
1. try to go to RSCUR:
2. create or modify your currency translation type
3. exchange rate type could be "M" (standard) and choose dynamic exchange rate determination
4. in Currency Tab set: source currency from record, target is USD
5. and now TIME Tab: use Variable Time reference: "END of MONTH" with standard InfoObject "0CALMONTH" or "END of PERIOD" with Standard InfoObject "0FISCPER"
Attention: the InfoObject 0CALMONTH or 0FISCPER has to be in your Cube. Otherwise choose special InfoObject "ZYOUROBJECT" which has the date (like 20.03.2008)
its better to choose "Beginning of Period", because your table in OB08 has to be filled with values starting 01.MM.YYYY
(like 01.03.2008) is exchange rate = 28
01.04.2008 is exchange rate = 29 etc. not to think about how many days are in Februar, March, April etc.

  • Transit corrency conversion (JPY- USD- EUR)

    Hello,
    I would like to convert currency from once translated value.
    That is..
    <currency rate>
    1JPY = 0.01 USD (100JPY = 1USD)
    1USD = 0.833 EUR (1.2 USD = 1EUR)
    1JPY  = 0.0067 EUR (150 JPY = 1EUR)
    <report>
    100 JPY is stored on Infoprovider
    case 1
    JPY    USD    EUR
    10000  100    67
    value of EUR is converted from JPY directly
    case 2
    JPY    USD    EUR
    10000  100    83.3
    value of EUR is converted from JPY via USD (transit conversion)
    what I would like to do is the case 2. But I could not find how to set.
    But transit conversion is not possible when creating global CKF like
    below.
    Infoprovider has KF1(JPY)
    Query
    KF1
    Global RKF1 (KF1 is used and conversion to USD is set)
    Global CKF1  (Global RKF1 is used and conversion to EUR is set)
    I am very happy if you advise how to do what I want to do....

  • Currency Change in New Version ECC 6.0 SR2 - showing as EUR  insted of USD

    Hi Gurus,
    I am facing a problem about currency.  We are implementing country USA using ECC 6.0 SR2.
    It is showing EUR in Infotypes 0014, 0015, 0008, 2010 defaultly for all Wage Types, actually it has to show USD for USA country.
    I checked all the related tables.
    I checked the Company code to Personnel Area assignment, it is OK.
    I checked the MOLGA for User ID Parameters, it is showing 10.
    I checked T500W, it is OK
    I checked T500C table, it is also OK, USD is there.
    I checked V_T510F_B, where we can assign currency to Payscale Tye and Area, it is showing USD only in 0008 Infotype for the Payscale Wage Types.  All other Wage Types are showing again in EUR.
    Further,  when I Run Time Evaluation Live Run, and run Payroll for a month I am getting the Hourly rate of the employee in EUR instead of USD. Also Wage type amounts and Payslip Gorss and Net amounts are showing in EUR instead of USD.
    If any body faced this problem before.
    Pl let me know how to solve this issue.
    Thanking you in advance.

  • Euro - USD conversion problems

    I have an issue concerning euro -usd conversion.
    I have maintain the table in OB08 with 2 entries for USD to EUR conversion.
    one until 07 July 2009 and the other from then on.
    When I make a quotation with pricing date 06 July 2009 it gets the right conversion.
    When I make this quotation a sales order and change the pricing date to today it doesn't recalculate the exchange rate.
    What shall I do so as according to the rpicing date the system to recalculate the exchanges rates.

    Hi,
    Since you are copying data from quotation to Sales order, exchange rate captured during quotation is defaulted in this sales order. Even if you change the pricing date, exchange rate will not get determined.
    But this will get re determined when u create a billing document wrt delivery document. These settings are available in Item configuration of copy controls from delivery to billing document (VTFL). Maintain the determination rule as per your requirement.

    Praveen.

  • Error in Exchange rate conversion from SC to PO is wrong

    Hello All,
    We are using Extended classic scenario, Local PO will get automatically get created
    After the completion of shopping cart approval.
    We are facing one issue in the price of automatically created PO and Shopping cart.
    Ie there is price difference between the PO and shopping cart
    For Egs:
    Shopping cart created with 1.0 EUR and showing 1.35 USD as the final price in shopping cart whereas it shows 1.56 USD in PO.
    We also checked the currency conversion table ( tcurr, where it 1 EUR = 1.35 USD), ie also showing the correct entries.
    I believe there might be some problem in the currency exchange rates.
    I have also run these jobs BBP_GET_EXRATE / BBP_GET_CURRENCY to update the currency /exchange rates but still the same issue exists.
    Any pointers for the same will be really appreciated.
    Thanks inn advance.

  • (Strange) Currency Conversion on YTD Application

    Hi experts
    I found a wrong currency conversion on YTD Application and my customer also has the same problem.
    Here is the example:
    Rate Application
    2008.JAN 1 EUR = 1.2 USD
    2008.FEB 1 EUR  = 1.2 USD
    2008.MAR 1 EUR  = 1.4 USD
    Finance Application (a YTD application)
    CV Time: YTD
    2008.JAN 10 EUR
    2008.FEB 20 EUR
    2008.MAR 30 EUR
    CV Time: Periodic
    2008.JAN 10 EUR
    2008.FEB 10 EUR
    2008.MAR 10 EUR
    For the correct currency conversion (to USD), I should get
    2008.JAN 12 USD (10x1.2)
    2008.FEB 12 USD (10x1.2)
    2008.MAR 14 USD (10x1.4)
    2008.Q1  38 USD
    But the result is
    2008.JAN 12 USD (10x1.2)
    2008.FEB 12 USD (10x1.2)
    2008.MAR <wrong> USD (10x???)
    Is it a bug or my wrong configuration ?
    ps. you can try it
    Regards,
    Halomoan
    Edited by: Halomoan Zhou on Jun 20, 2008 8:54 AM

    What you see is normal behaviour:
    when you do a ytd currency conversion, the YTD LC amount will be translated against the entered rates.
    If you then look to periodic data, the ytd previous period amount will be deducted from the ytd current perid amount by OLAP.
    This then means that you cannot calculate the periodic LC amounts against the entered rates.
    If this wasn't the case, the calculation below will not work on converted numbers:
    YTD februari + periodic march = YTD march
    I think that the calculation above must always work. BUT I know of one customer that didn't wanted this behaviour, they wanted that the periodic values AND the ytd values calculated against the same entered rate. There are several ways to achieve this; we added a member in the subtables dimensions to store the difference and then adjusted the measures calculation so that this difference was picked up by OLAP when selecting the periodic measure.
    AGAIN: I didn't like this because the calculation of "YTD februari + periodic march = YTD march" is in my opinion a holy one.... But the customer is always right
    Hope this helps,
    Alwin

  • Currency Conversion at Query Level

    Guys,
    Can some one tell me step by step procedure to do Currency conversion from USD to Mexican PESO at query level in BI 7.0. I have read lot of threads but not clear in maintaining the Exchange rates and also in creating the variables.
    Thank you,
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar ,,
    You're able to convert the currency amount on the routine ...
    Using this function :
    CONVERT_TO_LOCAL_CURRENCY
    Sample:
    CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERT_TO_LOCAL_CURRENCY'
         EXPORTING
            DATE             =  " current date.
            FOREIGN_AMOUNT   = " local currency amount (peso)
            FOREIGN_CURRENCY =  " local currency
            LOCAL_CURRENCY   = 'USD'
         IMPORTING
            LOCAL_AMOUNT     = RESULT " result.
         EXCEPTIONS
            NO_RATE_FOUND    = 1
            OVERFLOW         = 2
            NO_FACTORS_FOUND = 3
            NO_SPREAD_FOUND  = 4
            OTHERS           = 5.
    To maintain the exchange rate, you can go to tcode: OB08
    Hopefully it can help you a lot..
    Regards,
    Niel
    thanks for the points you choose to assign.

  • GL : after journal import currency conversion type change to User

    Hi
    I have following data in GL_Interface table
    User_currency_conversion-type = 'Corporate'
    Currency_conversion_date = '9/21/2008' ( Get from Gl_Daily_rates)
    Currency_conversion_rate = Null
    As per GL_Daily_Rates the conversion_rate is 1.5 for this currency to functonal currency.
    After journal import, gl_je_header is populated with
    User_currency_conversion-type = 'User'
    Currency_conversion_date = '9/21/2008'
    Currency_conversion_rate = 1
    Can you please explain, why the User_currency_conversion-type and Currency_conversion_rate are changed to above values ?
    If you have any good document of "Journal Import Rules and Logic" , please share
    Thaks in Advance

    Hello Mr. G. Lakshmipathi,
    Thanks! I'll try this function module READ_EXCHANGE_RATE.
    However, I think this issue is not really related to the exchange rate. The amount conversion from USD to JOD happens correctly based on the current pricing forumla that we are using i.e. amounts in JOD have 3 decimals after conversion from USD, but when they are stored in pricing structure, the last decimal is truncated as the currency against the 3 condition types is USD (USD has 2 decimals). Hence, the amounts have 2 deicmals.
    Thanks,
    Amit

  • Payments other than USD

    Hi,
    We have an issue like this: we maintain only two set of house bank accounts, LKR and USD and when we are paying for EUR vendor we have an issue. We can not execute our payments using F110 as our house banks are LKR and USD only. What happens is when we sent the letters to the bank (prepared manually) they charge that EUR invoice amount from out USD account based on the cross rate. Once we get the bank statement we pass the entry from F-53 by crediting our house bank account-USD. Is there any way that we can book the payment in EUR using F_53 while maintain our house banks A/C in USD? So that system covert the EUR amount to USD? Please help

    Hi,

  • "Balance in Group currency USD is too large for automatic correction" error

    Hello Gurus,
    Please help me..
    When we post document from FB01, we want to enter amount in group curreny different than what SAP calculates, But when we enter different amount(than what sap calculates ) we are getting "Balance in Group currency USD is too large for automatic correction" error.
    We want SAP to take whatever we enter on the Group Currency Amount field and not to calculate/validate anything itself.
    Is it possible to disable this message?
    I tried changing the hard error "E" to warning "W" using "Message Control"  but it did not work.
    Or is there any User exit/ BADI/ BTE, where i can change the tolerance meaning if SAP calculates Group Currency amount $1000.10 and SAP takes upto 1000.18, So if i change the tolerance to 90 cents instead of 8 cents and try to enter $1001 and SAP can take it? ( I know its so weird requirement, we are not using SAP as it is, but everyone really wants it here:(
    Our Local/ Document currency: EUR
    Group Currency: USD
    Please suggest any solution.
    Thanks so much in Advance!

    Hi Shrikanth,'yes I did checked the SAP note and for the correction,
    'Import the corresponding Support Package or implement the attached advance correction'
    frankly speaking, i didnt understood what the SAP note is trying to say   What i can make out from it was that There is some Program error and that needs to be rectified.
    Can You please tell me as to how to imoplement this SAP note.
