Hello teachermama10, The Factory Data Reset does remove all data including files and photos. I understand that making sure your phone information is backed up is of the upmost importance. I took it to a store last week and they said it has something to do with the last software update. They tried charging it at the store and got the same message. I was given another phone, I still get the same error with the new phone.

Itunes says I must update to 11.1, but everytime I try to run it I get an error message saying: "an error occured while running installation" Help?
The full message reads: "Errors occurred during installation before iTunes could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To complete the installation, run the installer again. Click finish to exit the installer."
I have run it again and get the same message. Have rebooted and tried again. Same results. -

Try starting Safari while holding down the shift key. Hold it down until it opens.
That should disable reloading any pages, if that is the problem. The Home page will open, though.
If that fails, I'm not sure what the Accounts plug in is, but it would be insid Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins/ -

After updating my MacBook Pro to yeosemite I want my old desktop picture back. I did a full back up before the install. I found the "Settings" folder in Time machine but when I try to open it I get an error message saying "You can not open this folder. It is in TimeMachine".
Can you browse the Time Machine drive from Finder?
If you can and you know where the picture was stored ie on your desktop you can browse through the folder structure to the picture copy it and paste it somewhere on your new install before right clicking it and 'set as desktop background' -

I actually solved the issue myself. In my prior attempts, I was only un-installing iTunes from the Control Panel. This time I un-installed everything Apple: ITunes, QuickTime, and any software application that was from Apple.
Once I removed all of the Apple software and re-downloaded iTunes, everything worked perfectly. -
When I try to open iPhoto, I get an error message that says it can't open the application because it may be damaged or incomplete.
Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I am trying to update to OS X Mavericks but I cant seem to. Everytime I try to install it, I get an error saying I don't have enough disk space or FindReaperFiles closed unexpectedly. What do I do?
That isn't the problem. When I start the download of Mavericks I have more than enough space on the disk drive. However, once it has downloaded and it is attempting to install this error occurs:
Any ideas where I could re-download FindReaperFiles? From what I can see it's an Apple file but I can't find a download on their site at all.
