EWA ABAP stack from solution manger

Dear all.
We are configuring our solution manager in order to obtain EWA ABAP stack of all our satellite systems. Our solution manager is 7.0 EHP1.
We have created our satellite system in SMSY and generated all required RFC. We have created a solution in SOLUTION_MANAGER transaction including our satellite system on it. From SMSY we can access SDCCN of satellite system without problem and activate it. Then we create all required tasks here : 'Maintenance package', 'Refresh service definition' and 'Refresh sessions'. Three tasks finish succesfully, but EWA is not generated.
We can't run report RTCCTOLL  because currently we have not OSS conection.
Please, can anybody help us in this issue? What components are required in solution manager and satellite systems in order to obtain this reports?
Thanks a lot and best regards.

Hi,
1. First, Check whether EWA is activated for the satellite system or not.
DSWP->Select the solution of your satellite system->Operations Setup->Setup Early Watch Alert
Once you click on Setup Early Watch Alert, Early Watch Alert Administration screen will be displayed.
Check Early Watch Alert for the system is activated or not. i.e, The checkbox of column "Active" should be checked.
2. Next check the settings of SDCCN as i replied in this thread:
https://forums.sdn.sap.com/click.jspa?searchID=21861438&messageID=6974101
Hope this may help you.

  • EWA Abap stack empty

    Hello everybody.
We have configured our solution manager 7.0 EHP1 in order to obtain EWA abap stack of our systems.
We have got 5 satellite systems. We have done all tasks required and everything works fine, but only can obtain EWA report succesfully in 2 systems. The other three satellites, the EWA is generated but it is empty, only has got a little header and it appears with a grey icon next to the solution.
We have checked all configuration, we have deleted it and recreated, but problem persists. We have followed the same steps that in systems that is working fine.
RFC's are workink fine, and all tasks are executed succesfully in SDCCN.
We have opened a message to SAP and they have been conected in our systems, but the say that everything seems fine and they continue looking for this issue.
Please, if anybody Knows possible ideas to solve this issue, tell us.
Thanks a lot in advanced and best regards

    Hi Thomas,
i had the same issue years ago and could solve it by refreshing the service definitions on SolMan and satellite system. If SAP had a look at this, i doubt that this is the soution for your problem, but who knows
I guess you have read note 762696?

  • How to receive an RFC message in PI ABAP stack from ECC

    Hi mates,
I am involved in a scenario in which we want to receive a message in PI (ABAP stack) from ECC (ABAP stack as well).
We created a RFC destination (3) in sender system (ECC) so both stacks could be linked. However, we do not know how to receive this message once we are in PI Abap stack.
In sender system code, a call destination takes place, an this destination stands for the one destination i noted before.
BUT, as this RFC does not exist in PI, i wonder what steps have to be done in PI in order to be able to get the message from ECC.
Hope you guys can guide me through this. Any help
Thanks a lot in advance and best regards,
    david

    Hi Anand,
No no, i do not want to create any sender RFC Comm Channel.
What i want is to receive (by means of no PI adapter) a message in PI (abap stack) from ECC (abap stack), just by a RFC connection (type 3) between both systems.
I will try to explain in more detail what i want to achieve:
    1) A standard SAP program is executed in ECC, at the end, a call destination is done.
    2) This destination call, calls an RFC destination that points to PI (RFC dest in SM59, type 3)
(Until now, nothing is done in PI, there is no sender adapter, we just linked both ABAP stacks)
    3) In ABAP stack of PI, we want to receive the message, make any transformations and send the target emssage to PI adapters
    4) From that moment on, a ordinary PI integration is done.
So my question is, what kind of stepd so i have to perform to get the message from ECC in PI without creating any object in PI (ESR, ID, i mean). Just as if we wanted to receive a RFC message, lets say, in BI (abap side) from ECC.
Hope you got me this time.
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    david

  • Accessing XI Tables (ABAP Stack) from Java code

    Hi,
IS it possible to access tables like SXMSPMAST, SXMSPEMAS directly from Java code without the use of any RFC or BAPI in between?
    Cheers,
    Earlence

I think it is technically possible, as you can get access to the JDBC Connector service using J2EE's JNDI feature ... Then you can use the internal DB datasource to read data from tables (read ONLY, cuz I'm not sure it is a good idea to update data "outside" the box, and reading can also have potiential perf or stability issue) ... Some (better) methods can also exist !

  • Reports available from solution manger

    Hello All,
I plan to connect BI to solution manager and was wondering what types of reports I can get out?  Anybody have any useful documents on this?  Anybody done this and have any comments about it?
    Thanks,
    Nick

    Hi
    Use the transaction crm_dno_monitor
You can build the report based upon the parameter you provide on the selection screen
for e.g enter the bp for the team and then execute it
you will get a report in which that bp is present or inshort belonging to that team.
    Hope it resolves ur prob

  • How to see the JCO connections inthe ABAP Stack

    Hi Gurus,
Is there any possible way to find the No.of JCO connections in the ABAP stack ,good solutions welocme and rewarded!
    regards,
    S.Rajeshkumar

    Hi,
JCO connections are just RFC calls.
If you know the user used by the JCO RFC calls, you can see the number of calls from ST03 RFC Server Profiles.
    For example
In my XI (PI ) dual stack test system the JCO user is PI_JCO_RFC and I can see that last week there were 254 calls.

  • Issue in registering ABAP stack into SLD

    Hi all
The issue is as shown below. I appreciate your help.
    Environment: SLD host-Windows Server 2003, Oracle 10g, WAS JAVA 640 SP19

I came to know from other forums in sdn that we need to install/configure separate gateway if the SLD is on a standalone JAVA engine.
Also, in SM59 SLD_UC, SLD_NUC, SAPSLDAPI are failing with the same error of "RFC call failed: / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPECMINIT' : cmRc=17 thRc=236#SAP gateway connection failed. Is SAP gateway started?"
Please suggest how to resolve this. Please let me know if you need more details.
    Thanks already

    Rahul,
as RK already stated: the SLD has to connect to an SAP gateway, such is running on an ABAP system.
You may initially try to use the SAP gateway from the CRM ABAP stack. Therefore you will have to adjust the SLD to use that SAP gateway. On 6.40 SLD: Administration / Data supplier bridge / RFC gateway: Server (host name) and Service (combination of sapgw and instance number of CRM ABAP system).
After that, in CRM SM59 SLD_UC, SLD_NUC, SAPSLDAPI will have to be adjusted accordingly.

  • Remove ABAP Statck from the Dual statck Portal system.

    Hi ,
I have our ESS portal( Netweaver 7.0) is  implemented on a Dual Stack. Dual stack for Portal was an idea by our Implementors which later we realized was unnecessory.
Now we are moving the Portal to a different machine. And we are planning to get rid of the ABAP stack and have just the JAVA Stack.
Currently our UME is the ABAP Stack. while i move this to single stack we are planning to point the UME to the back end ( ERP ) ABAP Statck.
What i need is a procedure how to achieve this.
Would be great help if somebody could throw some ideas.
    Thanks
    Jamshid.

    Dear Jamshid,
Unfortunately it is not possible to remove or uninstall the ABAP stack from a dual-stacks system.
What you can consider might be like this:
    1. export all the protal content which you have created and configured in this system.
    2. reinstall a new pure Java AS + Portal system
    3. then import all the content to this new to replace the old one.
Regarding changing the UME storage, there are some limitations, i.e, if you are using ABAP as the UME datasource then you can only change it to LDAP, and not possible to change to Java database.
    Best Regards,
    Thunder

  • EWA on Non-ABAP System with Solution Manager EHP 1

    Hi Experts,
We have recently updated our solution manager from SP Stack 16 to EHP1 (sp 18). we are now planning to set up EWA for non-abap components (EP 7.0). however, the only SAP note that i have been able to find is "976054 - Availability of EWA for Non ABAP components" but this is only limited up to SP 17. I have not been able to find any guides relating to EWA thru Solution Manager EHP1.
I would greatly appreciate if anyone can refer any documents or SAP notes that would enable setting up EWA for non-abap components thru Solution Manager EHP1.
We have also gone through the note 1332428, but we have'nt found it useful. We are still struggling to generate EWA report on Non-ABAP system.
Looking forward to your kind help.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sarthak Syal

    Hi Sarthak,
    Good!!
    Please do  the following:
    1) include the system in the Solution and scheduled the EWA session.Logical component should refer to the Non-ABAP System with no ABAP instance as relevant under the SID definition in SMSY-systems.
    2) Is the Non -ABAP ( assuming its java) has the Software component defined and is mentioned as relevant under the SID with the component name and type.
    3) Having said that SMD - Root cause Analysis functionality is configured-> check whether you are getting the Details for the Non-ABAP systems in the analysis Tabs of Root Cause Analysis.
This should be good to go. Wait for the session to get completed.
    Thanks,

  • System Copy from ABAP Stack to ABAP+Java Stack

    Hi,
Is it possible to system copy (homogeneous or heterogeneous) from a system based on ABAP Stack to a system based on ABAP+Java Stack? Is it the normal system copy procedure or something aditional is required to do. Pl. advise. Thanks
    regards
Edited by: Abdus Samad on Oct 24, 2008 8:13 AM

It depends on what you want to copy, a system copy will always wipe out the existing target. But if you want to only copy data, you might be able to do a client copy. You can start with this SAP note: [552711 - FAQ: Client copy|https://service.sap.com/sap/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=552711]

  • RFC call from XI ABAP stack to XI

    Hi All,
I have a RFC in the XI ABAP stack. When I created an RFC connection (TCP/IP) connection on the XI ABAP stack through SM59, and tried test connection, it is not working. Am I doing something wrong here? If I am trying to call XI JAVA stack from XI ABAP stack do I need to use an RFC adapter or is there any other way of calling the XI JAVA stack?
    Thanks,
    Geetha
Edited by: Geetha on Feb 5, 2008 12:18 PM

XI ABAP Stack and JAVA Stack are connected using the JCO connections, if you want to call the RFC in the ABAP stack of XI using the RFC adapter which sits on the JAVA stack
    1. whats the purpose of creating the RFC on the XI ABAP Stack, is it a business stack?
    2. the created RFC destination in the XI ABAP stack should work if it is properly created...check the SAPHostname, gateway information? and also the registred program id.
    3. use the same registred progrram iD in the RFC sender adapter and actiavte it then it will work.....

  • Message Send from ABAP Proxy implemented in XI Server ABAP Stack

    Hello everyone,
I have a question and I'm not sure of this is an ABAP question but I'll try here and try to find some information on ABAP forums and weblogs, I need to send a XML message to the XI pipeline from an ABAP Server Proxy implemented in the same XI ABAP Stack Server, why I need this? well actually I can't find a way to do it in a BPM so I'm going to try to set the logic for this message send in the ABAP Stack, so do you know like a Function Module so I can send a message to the pipeline but I need the message to be set as Scheduled, I'll try ABAP Forums and Weblogs too, thanks in advance.
    regards,
    julio

    Hi
You can schedule your program as a background Job SM36. Please check the transaction. You will have to set your ABAP program as the job STEP (if you probably have selection screen for your report then you will also need a variant for your report).
Do schedule your program as a 'Periodic Job' and your personal period (daily/hourly).
After you save your settings you can also monitor your job (ABAP Program) from the same transaction or even from CCMS if you like.
    Thanks
    Gaurav

  • How do I get a variable, or object from ABAP STACK.

    Hey Gurus,
How do I get a variable, or object from ABAP STACK.
Example: I start my FM. I can see in the ABAP STACK the variable I need. I can see the object; I could use to get my variable. I need to use it in my FM; however I need to reference it in the run time. How do I do that?
Is there a method I can use for reading ABAP STACK?
Do I just use command: get reference of u2026?
Does anyone have an example code?
    Basis version 7
    Thanks in advance
    Martin

Ah, you mean you want to access a variable from another program in the call stack, yes?  You can do this using field symbols, but please don't try to change a value while doing this, it could really screw things up.
this example, is using two programs, where the second is accessing variables of the first program.  Basically just notice that we are using the program name and the variable name when assigning the field symbol.

  • Separating Java add-in from ABAP Stack server

I have installed an ABAP Stack and added the JAVA add-in on the same physical server.  Now I would like to have the JAVA add-in run on a physically different server.  ABAP on Server1 and JAVA add-in on server2.
What is the process to move the add-in to the new server?  What parameters/values need to be changed?
    Thanks!
    Steve E.

    Hi Stephen,
I think Java Standalone is the only (official) option you have, I don't know the way of physically separating J2EE add-in from ABAP stack in dual-stack systems (you can separate CI from DB, or SCS in the cluster env but not add-in from ABAP).
