Exactly when is the Still taken from a video podcast?

Hello!
I noticed that when I add a video podcast for which I did not specifically add some artwork in iTunes, iTunes automatically takes a still to put as the episode artwork. It's not during the first 8 or so seconds of the podcast, but a little after. Is there an exact moment when the still is taken, like after, say 12 seconds?
I would appreciate a response, so I can better time the video.

Well, you are right of course, but I was hoping it was possible to do this in iMovie, apparently it is not. The problem is that I encode my movie DV from iMovie in Visual Hub for settings H.264 iPod, Apple TV and iPhone. I know that I can then take that file and add the artword ("poster frame") in either QT Pro or iTunes (add artwork), but I am afraid it might mess up the file and the file won't be comatible anymore with iTunes etc. I guess I'm wrong, it's probably possible to do so. A pity it takes an extra step.

I realise you can you can delete them on your ipod slowly as you have to click on each one, and you can restore your ipod, but surely there is a way to get around this?

   we have initialized the load from source system to ODS. the load was successful, and when loading from ODS CUBE(initialization). it is giving the following message.

We have updated the master data of 0CUST_SALES (DELTA UPDATE).
but still getting the same message when updating the data packets from PSA. I am unable to find the reason.
Please let me know is there any other solution.

   I have loaded master data for all the objects you have mentioned( atributes and texts). but still data packets are not getting updated. it is giving the message.
   i have also tried the elementary tests and combined tests of 0CUST_SALES, in RSRV. there were no errors found.
these data targets were newly implemented. would it be problem with routines or any other means.
Please let me know ASAP.

I use illustrator cs5. It occures mostly on the cover pages of brochures which contains images, texts and some effects such as drop shadow etc.

When smooth line art is turned off in Acrobat preferences,the lines disappears but the text becomes raserized and goes its smoothness. Not only that, we are not sure that everyone who is viewing the pdf has the same settings in their laptop or desktop.
Is there any other solution to remove these lines? I have added the screenshot of a part of the pdf.

I'll assume you want to create a still to use outside FCPX, not a still frame within FCPX. It's kinda hidden in the "share." Go File/Share/Add Destination. You want "Save Current Frame." After you've created that destination, it'll be there for you in the future under Share.

Receipts are sent to your email address. It sometimes takes a couple of days to arrive, so if you just made an order, wait a couple of days and the receipt will probably show up. Otherwise the only option is the Purchase History as described in the support article from which you came, and there's no print mechanism so you would need to take a screen shot of the relevant page.

It sounds like you are unable find these TV shows you purchased in a series, but you have been charged for them. I would start by checking to see if you can download them from your Purchases in the iTunes Store with this article:

The steps are different if you are on an iOS device vs. a computer, so choose the appropriate section for the device you want to download them to.

Click iMovie/About. If you have version 9.0.4 (iMovie 11) this will work. If you have an earlier version, this will also work, but there are also other ways.
First, get an app called MPEG Streamclip, which is free. (MPEG Streamclip from Squared 5)
Open MPEG Streamclip.
In iMovie, select the clip you need. Then, right-click/Reveal in Finder.
Drag this clip into MPEG Streamclip
In MPEG Streamclip, move the playhead to the frame you want.
In MPEG Streamclip, click FILE/EXPORT FRAME.
Choose JPEG, TIFF, or PNG and give it a name.
You can then drag this photo into iPhoto.
I have created a short video Tutorial on how to do this. There is one error in the Tutorial, where it says that Command-click is the same as right-click. I should have said Control-click instead.

I'm able to export stills from iMovie without anything extra. I create a new project - call it Exports say. Now, in your event clip with the frames you want as stills, select a single frame and drag it into your project. Repeat for other stills you want to export. Then choose Share -> Export Using QuickTime.
In the pop-up, choose Movie to Image Sequence. Click Options and choose the image format you want. Playing with the number of stills lets you pick how many stills you want from each second of video. Hit OK and the stills will be generated in the directory you choose.
I've only done this with HD video. Don't know how well it works with lower res, interlaced vid.

If you want to create a still frame from within iMovie, move your playhead to the frame you want a still image from and ctrl-click. You'll get a slightly different option to create a still frame depending on whether you do this in the project or event window.
From the event window iMovie will add a still at the end of your project, from the project window it will add a still at the playhead.
If you wanted the still on your desktop rather than in iMovie, select the still, ctrl click and choose reveal in finder, copy the image to your desktop and undo your actions in iMovie to remove the still from the project.

Put the playhead over the frame in the timeline and choose Modify>Make Freeze Frame. It will appear in the Viewer window. Drag it into the timeline.
If you want a photo for iPhoto etc. put the playhead over the frame and select File>Export>Using QuickTime Conversion.
In the window that opens change the "Format" setting to Still Image from the dropdown menu.
