Excel file edited using Numbers

I am moving from PC to Mac. I have excel files I use for accounts and have just edited one using numbers and exported it to excel. This seems to have mucked up my totals. The formulas are correct but the actual value in the cells is nonsense. Is there a way back?

It's no possible to upload directly Excel file in LSMW.
You must transform to an flat File.
There are 6 delimiters
- No Separator
- Tabulator
- Semi-Colon
- Comma
- Blanks
- Others

I have an issue on read Operation by using file Adapter.
It is necessary to read excel file by using file adapter. But in the native format of file adapter there is no option to read excel type of files.

Hello, everyone.
I had used the above FM several times before but I have a problem now with sending a pure excel file (I have no problem to send a CSV file).
The problem is that the files is sent with unknown format and when it's being opened all data appears in one cell (with an error message).
If anyone has an example of using the above FM with EXCEL / CSV file, I'll be happy to get it.

Hi, I'm trying to create a search and solve function within Visual Basic.
I want to use the combustion equation C8H18 + 20(O2 + 3.76 N2) = 8 CO2 + 9H20 + 47 N2 to determine flame temperature using
9*Hf of C02 + 8 * Hf H20 + 47 Hf N2 = Hf C8H18
I have all of the values of Hf in an excel spreadsheet but I want to be able to search the spreadsheet as my application requires the user to change to fuel (the C8H18 bit) which changes the value of Hf.
Is there a way of searching that excel file each time I run my program?

I've used that method before, and I'm sorry I didn't specify.
This will be used as a student learning aid and so the application itself and the tables will be downloaded as a zip file and so I don't believe the line below would work?
I've heard about including excel as a reference file in the application but I haven't been able to find any further information on that.

Excel File read using WebUtil does not work. Gives java.lang.NoSuchMethodEr

We have a form which reads from an Excel File. The form works in development env., but in the live env when we deployed the form it does not work. Form fails @ the 1st call to Client_OLE2 where we set the Excel file to read.
For both the envs. the values are given here:
(1.) Client Forms Version : Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production)
(2.) Application Server Version : 10.1.2.0.2
(3.) AS Linux Version : (Live) RHEL 5.7 Tikanga / (Dev) Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 4)
(4.) Client Sun JRE Version :Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_10)
(5.) Client Web Browser & Version: I.E 8.0.6001 or Mozilla 3.0.15

I sounds like you might have missed a configuration step on your Linux application server (AS). I recommend you go back through the configuration of your AS and verify each step of the WebUtil Runtime Setup Checklist was completed correctly. Seach the Forms Help system on "Runtime Setup Checklist" for a copy of the checklist.

using GUI_DOWNLOAD you can't change the data in excel sheet...if you want to do the things you need to use OLE concpets for downloading of data to Excel sheet wherein you can do most of the options excel can handle..
Check within SDN as there are blogs for downloading data to Excel sheet using OLE concepts..

Export XML data into multiple worksheet of an Excel file..using FO processr

I need to export XML data into Excel output, the data should flow into multiple worksheet of the Excel file.
Let me know if this can be done using XML publisher. If yes, please provide me the steps to do the same.
Could not able to achieve this through by the below process:
(1)     Created a RTF (which has single excel table structure).
(2)     Generated the XSL file using XSL-FO Style Sheet.
(3)     Passed the XSL file and XML
which exported the data into an Excel (single worksheet) format.
Please let me know, how this can be exported into multiple worksheets.

Acrobat 10 crashes when excel files are used in the Merge Files function

When using the Combine Files into a PDF function of Acrobat 10, Acrobat constantly crashes the moment it encounters and excel file in the list of files to be merged. So far the only way to fix this has been to export the excel file, from Excel 2013, as a PDF and then merge with that, but that can't be the only solution. Anyone have any luck with this or is it just an innate problem with Acrobat 10 and Office 2013. I should also mention both Office and Acrobat are on their latest updates and this is on a Window 7 64 bit system.

Acrobat X PDFMaker (involved in the "combine" process) does not support Office 2013.

Can I link a query with an Excel file without using universe designer?

I have an Excel file that contains a list of 200 seller codes. The list is updated on a weekly basis.
I need to create a query in Webi that shows ONLY those records in our main table that match one of the seller codes on the Excel list.
Is there an easy way of doing this? I don't really want to hassle our universe designer guy with a new file to import every week. But if that's the only way to do it, we will have to.
Back in BO v5 we used an Excel macro to add all the codes into a long text string with commas & pasted that into the query designer. Unfortunately there are many queries that need to be updated, so hopefully there's a way to automate this.

You don't mention what version of BusinessObjects that you are using. If you are going to adopt XI 3.0 sometime soon, then you will have a definite capability of doing what you want with a new product included in 3.0 called "Rich Client". At this moment I can't think of any other way to achieve what you want other than RC. Merging multiple Excel files into one Numbers spreadsheet

I am a teacher and have about 40 different Excel files. Each file has one worksheet with the name of my student and his/her grade in the 2nd column. I'd like to merge all these files into just one Numbers file. I can obviously copy/paste over and over but I'd like to find an easier way. Thanks!

they did announce in the past few months that the NEW version, due out in a few more years I guess, will bring VBA back. not availble in an update, you will be forced to rebuy the software to regain funtionlaity that should never have been removed in the first place.
Personally, for everything at home, I am making due without M$. just inherited an older G4 iMac, All Apple software, nothing M$ on that machine, and she works great.
