Exchange 2013 with Outlook 2013 - Not getting pop-up or mail tips for attachments exceeding max size

Our environment is Exchange Server 2013 CU3 and Outlook 2013 in cached mode. We have a transport rule that sets the max attachment size to 20 mb.
If someone sends an attachment larger than 20 mb they receive an NDR letting them know the message wasn't delivered because it exceeded the max attachment size. We would like for the user to be prevented from sending the message at all or to at least
get a mail tip before they try to send the message. The Outlook pop-up message that says "The file you're attaching is bigger than the server allows. Try putting the file in a shared location ..." isn't being generated for us. Not sure if that's
because we're running Exchange or not. If that pop-up isn't going to work it would be nice if the user could at least get a mail-tip warning them that the attachment exceeds the limit. But it doesn't look likes there's a mail-tip for attachment size, only
for message size. And, I've found that the message size mail-tip only works if the limit is set on the user. It doesn't seem to work if the limit is set via a transport rule.
Has anyone else gotten Outlook to present the pop-up or a mail-tip when exceeding attachment size? Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks but I performed all of those trouble shooting prior to posting to the forum. But, I have found the answer!
After referring to this article;
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124345(v=exchg.150).aspx
I removed the 10mb default limits from the organization config and chose to set the attachment and message size limits in our environment via transport
rules instead. That is the only way you can actually set an attachment size limit.
I had read this article several times searching for an answer;
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2813269#appliesto
The key is here;
"If you are using an Exchange Server account, the 20-MB attachment
limit for Internet email accounts is not used by Outlook 2013. Instead, Outlook uses the limit that is configured on your Exchange server. To modify the setting that is used to control the size of a message that is sent through an
Exchange Server account, follow these steps."
The steps that follow are for Exchange 2010 but they show setting organization limits not server limits. And note that it
says the size of a message, not the size of an attachment. Since mail-tips for message size are not displayed when the limit is set via the transport rules I thought it
was possible that the same inconsistency might apply to the attachment pop-up warning. I set the organization limits and voila! The pop-up now displays when an attachment that exceeds the message size limit is added to a message.
This is exactly what I wanted. Now users won't fill up their sent items trying to send large attachments that just bounce anyway.
It would be wonderful if Microsoft would provide information about what features of Outlook are affected when you apply message size limits at the
various levels.

  • Exchange 2013 with Outlook on RDS Server is extremely slow

Exchange 2013 CU5 on Server 2012 R2 fresh install/new to domain; Outlook 2010 or 2013 on Remote Desktop server not in cached mode is slow to open, search and send messages with attachments.  Opening messages and opening attachments runs quickly.
My test mailbox has 300kb worth of mail in it and sending a message with a 5Mb attachment locks up Outlook for close to 1 minute and takes another 30 to 90 seconds to disappear from the outbox and and move to sent items.  This issue does not present
itself in OWA.  My current testing RDS environment is a fresh install of Server 2008 R2 with Outlook 2013.  No additional add-ins or AV running on the Exchange server or the test RDS server.
When cached mode is enabled, Outlook runs better as shown in Outlook 2010 (+ Exchange 2013) works extremely slow; however, I don't consider this an option because there isn't enough drive space on the RDS server to cache all of the user profiles.
Other Exchange environments - Outlook 2010 or 2013 in an RDS environment (non-cached) with Exchange 2007 or 2010 - don't show the same performance issues.  Moving within Outlook and sending large attachments runs quickly.
I have checked Exchange throttling settings and monitored logs, but have not found cases where my test user is being throttled.  I have also looked at turning off IPv6 based on another post's suggestion; however, I have seen conflicting information
about disabling IPv6 for Server 2012 R2, so I have not yet gone down this path.
The Exchange server is a VM on a new VMware host and has assigned 8 cores from Intel Xeon E5-2640 procs and 16GB RAM; 1TB thick provisioned database volume on a RAID 5 array with 6 x 10k RPM SAS drives.  Disk queues are low on the Exchange server (in
the .20 to .70 range).  My test RDS server is on the same VMware host on the same vSwitch.  Another test system is on a different system, but exhibiting the same behavior.

    Hi,
How about the suggestion from Festivalman?
Feel free to contact me if there is any update.

  • Need help with Outlook 2013 connecting to Exchange server(2010)

    Hi
I need help with Outlook 2013 and with my exchange server(2010) email account
After setting up account initially emails come in and than after an hour or two stop. My OWA is working fine with no issues. I have even created a forward rule in OWA to my GMAIL account whch works fine
However Outlook 2013 is not syncing messages, have difficulty in sending emails sometimes as it takes too long.  In fact the connection also is intermittent. Even if the task bar shows connected to exchange, it seems that is not the case since new emails
and any emails I compose dont work.  I have trouble shot the issue with my ISP and email service provide, but they havent resolved the issue  I have also done a TraceRoute and that shows no drops or problems to he exchange server.
Can someone please help me resolve this matter so I can continue to use Outlook 2013( running Windows 8.1) in both my computers which have the identical problem
Look forward to a solution soon
    Thanks

    Hi Angela
    Thanks for your message
To answer your questions, please note the following
    a) My account is set up in Cache Mode( not online mode)
    b) I am the only other user on the account
    c) When the connection to the exchange server is broken, I see upon clicking connection tab that there is no information in the box, and when I press reconnect it starts showing "connecting"
    d) When the connection to the server is there, it shows  connection as "established"
    e) Sorry I dont understand th meaning of CAS array in your environment?  Can you pls explain
Since yday I have been using Outlook 2010 on desktop and Outlook 2013 on my laptop using Exchange 2013 account.  So far all emails are syncing, and I can send emails from both computers. However, I am concerned that the connection can break-off anytime,
as it has done that in the past on both outlook versions.  The max time it has worked without any problem is 48 hrs and than after that the same issue of not connection, not syncing and unable to send emails happens
My ISP has checked and there is no network connectivity issues. My email service provider has trouble shot the issue many times, but to no positive results.  I have also changed the profile a few times, but the intermittent connectivity problem hasn't
    been resolved.
Can you identify the possible causes and more importantly a working permanent solution please
    Thanks
    Mahesh

  • Acrobat XI email attachment does not appear to work with Outlook 2013 64 bit

When attempting to send email from Acrobat, the following Microsoft Office Outlook 2013 64 bit error message is received:
"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request.  Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default email client."
Naturally, Outlook was set as default client and then reset for good measure.  I did both Outlook and Acrobat repairs and have the latest 11.0.2 installed.  All other internal Office 2013 email applications work as well as seemingly all other embedded Acrobat funcitions with Office 2013 work well.  Office 2010 64 bit and Acrobat X worked fine.  I upgraded to Office 2013 64 bit and had the problem with Acrobat X.  I then upgraded to Acrobat XI and the issue remained.
Most importantly, I intalled Office 2013 64 bit on my laptop with Acrobat X.  An the email attachment function works perfectly.
So, is there some sort of corrupt MAPI file that I have to overwrite on my desktop that the Ofice and Acrobat repair functions do not fix?
    Thanks,
    Joe

I am sorry.  In my haste, not only did I attach the link the wrong way, but I also did not specify which solution worked.  My problem was a Click to Run issue.  The portion of the thread that deals with the problem is:
"HurdleRemove replied on May 16, 2013
I created a solution for this problem for 64 bit Windows 8 where Outlook 2013 was installed as Click-To-Run.......
......A  registry edit will fix the problem with Outlook 2013 click to run  installations and enable Outlook to be set as the default mail client.  This registry edit will for many third party programs eliminate the error "Either  there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot  fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it  as the default mail client." It  worked to resolve the problem where Adobe Acrobat was generating this  error.
The registry edit is here for Office  2013 64 bit click to run installations that will enable Outlook 2013 to  be recognized by third party applications:
    1. Create registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook
    2. Create String value:
    Bitness
    3. Set the String value for Bitness to:
    x64
This registry edit is an essential element  necessary to resolve the click to run problem that prevents Outlook 2013  from being set as the default mail client. Although it worked with  Adobe Acrobat, it will not completely resolve the  problem for some third party applications like Kerio Outlook Connecter  where the software developer has a web site that includes extra steps  necessary for a full resolution for the Kerio product. The Kerio web  site includes this registry edit in the context  of resolving the Office 365 problem. However, the registry edit works  with Office 2013 desktop as well. A similar register edit could likely  be made for 32 bit versions but the registry path would not include Wow6432Node. I do not have a 32 bit machine and cannot test a 32 bit solution."

iphone 4 calendar does not sync with OUTLOOK 2013 calendar. Can anyone help?  Iphone [Apple] will not provide support

Why won't Apple provide support? Do you mean free support if your iPhone is no longer under warranty if the AppleCare extended warranty was purchased for your iPhone, or if the initial 90 days of free telephone support after the purchase date has expired? If you no longer have free telephone support, free support is provided at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.

  • Highly frustrated with Outlook 2013 Search People box bugs - Multiple Name Results for Same Contact & Inconsistent Results

The Outlook 2013 "Search People" box does not function properly. It frequently displays incorrect results or a mess of duplicate results. I've reported previous issues about this and consolidating my posts into one (with screenshots this
time). Hopefully this message will be forwarded to or seen by the Outlook programmers. It really needs to be fixed.
Outlook 2010 and other prior versions worked perfectly. You search for name, you get ONE result with the info you're looking for. FAST AND EASY. But with Outlook 2013 Microsoft has created a heck of a mess resulting in huge frustration and productivity loss
with such simple but important tasks.
I have hundreds of contacts stored in my Outlook address book, and they all have COMPLETE contact info added.
One major issue that I'm experiencing in the new Outlook 2013 is that I now get average of 4 or more duplicate name results appearing for the same contact. And each result contains different and incomplete contact info, making it impossible for me to quickly
find the basic info I'm looking for. The cause of this issue is that Outlook 2013 now provides results from not only your local address book(s), but it also shows results based  on your email history and social media accounts setup.
And there's no way to turn this off, or at least specify what folders and/or accounts the People Search box should use.
To make matters worse, the Microsoft developers conveniently forgot to add some form of an indicator (like a small icon besides each name result in the list)  that clearly indicates what result is from what source. So you must manually click on each
result one at a time and repeat the search until you locate the correct one.
For one specific example, I have a contact stored in my local address book called
Infusionsoft. When I type "Infusionsoft" in the People Search box to quickly find a phone number, Outlook  2013 shows me 7 results with the same name. See the screenshot below:
As you can see in the screenshot above, every result just says "Infusionsoft", so I have to manually click on each name result one at a time and repeat the process until I find the correct one from my address book. This same thing happens with other
    random contacts.
From what I can tell, Outlook is pulling results based on  based on recent emails I've received from different people with "@infusionsoft.com" in their email address. So the first result shows "[email protected]" (just the email
address), the second result shows "[email protected]", the third result shows "[email protected]" and so forth. I don't want Outlook to show all of that. I just want what's in my address book!
And you would think that the last result would be the correct one from my address book, but no. Sometimes its the 5th result, and other times it's the 3rd or 7th result. So there's no freaking order of things here.
We simply need the ability to turn off searching of email history and other accounts when using the People Search box. Problem fixed.
(And please don't tell me that I need to "link" every incorrect result to one main contact. You shouldn't expect everyone to have to tediously link any and all results that appear to a record. ESPECIALLY when 5+ results for each contact appear regularly.)
ISSUE 2: Some names must be typed in a different way for the Search People to locate them
Another big issue I'm having with the Search People box is that some name searches don’t show the correct result, unless I search for their names in a different way.
For one specific example, I have a contact stored in my address book named "Dave Johnson". When I type "Dave Johnson" in the Search People box, one result appears, but it's just his email address, only. It's not the result that's stored in my Outlook address
book with his phone number, addresses, etc. Screen shot below:
If I type in Dave's name reverse order (Johnson Dave),  no results are found at all.
Now if I just type in just"Johnson" all by itself, it finds Dave's correct result (the one stored in my Outlook Address Book). Along with everybody else that has "Johnson" in their name (see screenshot below)...
I double-checked how I have Dave's name programed in my address book, and it's in there as "Dave Johnson" for both the Full Name and File As fields.
Also, the name order shouldn't make any difference when using the People Search Box anyway. Sometimes I can find people by Last Name, First Name or First Name, Last Name. Only with random contacts does it get difficult finding  their info and
I have to do strange things like this to find them from the People Search box.
ISSUE 3: Some Search People results only yield an email address only.
For other random contacts, some search results only yield an email address with no other contact details. But I can open the persons contact card from the address book manually, with the same email address shown! Screenshot below...
In the screenshot above, I have outlined the Search People box results in red, and the Address Book results in green. You can clearly see that "Robert White" is a contact stored in my local address book with full contact details, but the Search People result
only shows his email address! Again, it's not consitent. It's hit or miss with different people.
ISSUE 4: Some results just don't appear at all, but they are in the address book
Another issue I'm experiencing with the People Search Box is that some people simply  cannot be found. But I can see their contact info just fine if I click on the "People" tab down at the bottom of the page and type in their name in the "Search Contacts"
field. Why can't the People Search box find certain people? I opened up their contact details and cannot find a single thing  that would prevent them from showing up in results.
These are clearly serious bugs that need to be fixed. And I'm shocked as to how this got missed--or ignored during alpha and beta testing. I see the "idea" behind the developers having the Search People box search everything outside of the
address book, but in real world application this causes a heck of a lot of problems & confusion, and it needs to be fixed ASAP.
For technical details, I have Outlook 2013 running on two computers using hosted Exchange 2010. One system is Windows 7 and other is Windows 8. The same problems occur on BOTH computers. As far as my Outlook account setup, I have all contacts stored in the
main address book (no sub-folders or other folders).
Can someone help communicate this message to the Outlook developers??? The "Frown" button limits me to 100 characters and one image. There's no way I can communicate this level of detail and steps to duplicate in 100 characters!

    Thanks for your reply.
    1) The instant search boxes in each individual page work just fine. If I am on the People page and type in a name in the "Search Contacts" field, it searches my contacts and displays the results that I want. But I should not have to leave whatever screen
I'm in to find people now. In Outlook 2010 and earlier versions, I could be on the calendar page and then search for a contact without clicking off the calendar completely. For productivity-sake, it's a huge waste of time and hassle now.
    2) I'm familiar with how contact linking works, and quite frankly it's a huge mess in general. I NEVER create multiple contacts for the same person. I get that Outlook 2013 get confused now when it detects a LinkedIn or Facebook account for the same person
already in my Outlook address book, but we need to have options that allow us to turn off results from some or all social networks. This is a big part of the problem.
Think about it this way - The average person has 150+ LinkedIn connections, and more for Facebook. Many people today have accounts for both and they are setup with the same email address. When Outlook 2013 has to scan all the networks IN ADDITION to your
local address book(s), it's a no brainer that it can get very confused trying to display results.
Another big part of the problem is that Outlooks new search system also scans your email history. I receive emails from people who use multiple email addresses, or emails from companies with multiple reps or ticket systems that send you a unique
ticket ID # ending in the same email address domain. Now Outlook displays people search results based on everything under the sun in my email history. This is beyond frustrating (see my "Infusionsoft" screenshot above in the first post).
Again, I want to stress that for the search examples I referenced, I only have one entry in my Outlook address book for each person. And that's all I want to find when I search for people--what's already in my own address book!
    In summary:
We need an OPTION to turn off searching external networks when using the People Search box
We need an option to tell Outlook to not scan email history for people search results (I think this needs to be disabled entirely actually. It's not helpful at all)
There should be a fixed priority for displaying people search results, with local address book results FIRST, followed by social network results.
There should be a clear icon/indicator next to each result that gives you a clue as to where the result is coming from. Your address book? Facebook? LinkedIn? We should not need to click on each result to get a hint as to where it's coming from.
Work out the bugs in general with the new search system.
One other thing that I didn't mention is that the Search People box also shows results for people I'm not even "friends" or connected with on the different social networks. But I've noticed that some people use the same email address for those networks that
I already have programmed for them in my address book, which is why Outlook sometimes shows me these results. Does that make sense?
I'll try rebuilding the index, but after testing Outlook 2013 on 3 different machines so far and seeing the same results (all slightly different results on each machine and very inconsistent), I doubt this will address the issue.

  • Unable to configure multiple Exchange accounts in Outlook 2013

This is a complicated issue so I will try to describe it the best I can.
I have a client with two SBS servers for two different organizations in two different locations.  Each server handles completely different domains.  Let's call them A and B.
The issue is this...using Outlook 2010 or 2013 on clients at location B, I can configure Outlook for the users mailbox on server B just fine.  Some of the users at location B also have mailboxes on server A.  When I add a 2nd Exchange account for
the users mailbox on server A, things get weird.
Sometimes, when I start Outlook after adding the 2nd Exchange account, Outlook will show only one mailbox, but it is incorrect.  The top level will show it is a mailbox on server B, but it contains email from server A.  When this happens, email
actually transfers from one mailbox to the other.  I have to close Outlook quickly before things get out of hand. About a year ago, I determined that if the user has the same username and password for their mailbox on server A and server B, this would
cause the problem.  So I changed the users' username on server B and it seemed to work with Outlook 2010.
Now, a year later, we have a new user with Outlook 2013 with a mailbox on server A and server B, who works in location B.  I setup Outlook 2013 with mailbox B and it's fine.  I add a 2nd Exchange account for mailbox A to their Outlook Profile,
and when I launch Outlook, it shows both.  BUT, the mailbox A has nothing in it, and the status shows "This folder has not yet updated.  CONNECTED".  Mailbox B shows "All folders up to date.  Connected to Microsoft Exchange".
Also, existing email from mailbox A starts showing up in mailbox B.  If I go into mail account settings, I get the "Outlook is using temporary mailbox" dialog, meaning something has moved.  If I look at the two accounts, both look
to be using the same OST file, even though under data files, there are two OST files, one for each mailbox account.  If I delete the 2nd Exchange account (A), Outlook works again for the single mailbox on server B.
I've tried configuring the accounts without cached mode, but that doesn't work either.  Mailbox B had a delegate account (Full access permissions) to another account on server B, but I have tried removing that also, but no change.
I cannot figure out why I cannot have two Exchange accounts, one from each server (A and B) in Outlook 2013/2010 at the same time.
    HELP!
Thank for any ideas.  I hope I haven't made this too confusing.  One last thing...when I add the 2nd Exchange mailbox, I authenticate with the username on server A with domain\username and their password.  The authentication seems to be accepted
fine and without error.  I have also tried configuring the 2nd account using "automatic" instead of configuring manually.  Same problem.

OK, I have done some more testing as you suggested.  I created yet another new profile with just mailbox A.  When I start Outlook, I see the users mailbox, plus a mailbox that the user has been given Full Permissions to (a delegate?).  There
is one more mailbox that this user has full permissions to, but it did not auto-add itself, so I added the mailbox through the account properties.  Now, all three mailboxes at location A are in Outlook (users mailbox and 2 delegate mailboxes).  In
Outlook, on the left, has at the top the users main mailbox, and then below it are two other "branches" for the delegate mailboxes.  I did NOT use cached exchange mode, btw.
I quit Outlook and edited the profile, adding another exchange account for the users mailbox at location B.  I did a "check-name" and authenticated OK.
I launched Outlook, and the same (wrong) thing happens.  On the left pane of Outlook, at the top, it shows it is the users mailbox at location B (the main branch says Mailbox name -- location B), but all the folders and content are from mailbox at location
    A.  Outlook has mixed it up, and it is at this point that email starts moving between mailboxes, so I quit Outlook quickly.  It did show the two delegate mailboxes from location A, but there were just three "branches", and nowhere is there
    the real mailbox B.
Can it have anything to do with the fact that these accounts have delegates (or are given full manage permissions to other mailboxes on the  server)??
UPDATE:  I just determined something.  When looking at the Outlook email accounts dialog, for each account it shows the default delivery location.  For the first account (location A), it shows:
"Selected account delivers new messages to the following location:  usersemail@locationA\Inbox".
When I add the users mailbox for location B, it shows:
"Selected account delivers new messages to the following location:  usersemail@locationB\Inbox".
However, when I start Outlook, and see that things are wrong and quit, I go back into the accounts dialog, and BOTH accounts are set to deliver to the SAME location:
"Selected account delivers new messages to the following location:  usersemail@locationA\Inbox".
So now, the 2nd exchange account has changed it's location to deliver to mailbox A instead of B.
    Crazy stuff.

  • Lync 2013 with outlook 2010 meeting error

I have installed lync basic 2013 with outlook 2010. The meeting add in is in place, but I get an error when trying to set up a Lync meeting "unable to identify the calendar owner"
What to do to correct this?

    Hi,
You seem to get the error “Unable to identify the calendar owner. Please contact your support team.”
This is caused if the Online Meeting Add-in for Lync 2010 cannot determine the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) or Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) address of your Microsoft Outlook account. You need to contact your Exchange administrator.
If you mail server does not support online meeting(such as a pop3 server), you can join the meeting as anonymous user through the meeting URL.

  • Outlook 2013 with Dynamics 2013 CRM Plugin extremely slow

I have recently upgraded my Dynamics CRM server from 2013 to 2013 SP1
All of my user machines (VDI) have office 2013 with the Dynamics CRM 2011 plugin installed (I previous had Dynamics CRM 2011 on a seperate server, but 2013 was released before we set it up and so I removed the old 2011 server).
The website has a GlobalSign SSL against it and runs fine internally and externally. I also have a terminal server running Server 2012 with Outlook 2013 and the Dynamics CRM 2011 plugin and this also runs fine.
My machine was running fine but I decided to upgrade the Outlook plugin to 2013 and that's where my problems started. I removed the 2011 plugin (and even followed the detailed guide on how to completely remove it) and then installed the 2013 plugin.
It installed fine but when I use it, it is ridiculously slow. For example, I highlight an email and then click "Track" in the tool bar. What should happen is the little icon of the blue/green people should appear next to it and then the options for
"Convert To" text should be available, but they are not. The button at the top changed to read "Untrack" but that's it, making it completely unusable. If I go an make a tea, and then come back and then go an make another tea, sometimes
it will have updated by the time i get back, but generally it does not. I can close and re-open outlook and still the icon does not display next to the email. Interestingly although the button at the top reads "Untrack" which indicates that it is
being tracked, the pane at the bottom reads "This email is not being tracked in CRM".
Now, if I logon to the terminal (RDS) server (that I mentioned above) everything works fine and Outlook updates immediately, all the machines are on the same VLAN and so I should be able to rule out firwall issues (that terminal server is still running the
2011 plugin) so that would indicate that this is a problem with my machine. I created a fresh machine and installed that same applications and the same problem was had, so that now indicated that its a problem with the plugin perhaps or something very specific
    to my setup.
I had tried to download and install SP1 for Dynamics CRM 2013 for Outlook but on 2 separate machines I received the same error when installing

I also tried manually installing Rollup 2 before installing SP1 but I still get the same error.
Now I'm not sure if the Outlook plugin update is going to fix the problem, so as it stands I have 2 problems:
Very very slow Outlook CRM Plugin when updating emails and icons
Cannot install 2013 CRM SP1 for Outlook
So, I'm stumped, and this is really holding me back. I will post any updates here, but if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

I have Outlook 2013 with the CRM 2013 Outlook client and it was running fine until about a week ago.  I ran windows update and suddenly everything stopped working. I am going to try to uninstall all the updates until I determine which one is the cause
of the problem.  It would be nice if MS tested before releasing updates...

  • Problem using the e-mail button in Acrobat Pro 7.1.0 with Outlook 2013

I just switched my e-mail application from Mozilla Thunderbird to Outlook 2013.
I have always been able to click the e-mail button in Acrobat 7.1.0 to open a blank e-mail message with the PDF file attached.
I keep getting an error now that I have Outlook 2013.
It says "You need to create a Microsoft Outlook profile.  In Microsoft Windows, go to the Control Panel and open Mail.  Click Show Profiles, and then click Add"
Then, when I click on the OK button it says "Acrobat is unable to log in to your email application.  Please check your account settings and try again."
I have checked and I have one profile in Control Panel called Outlook.  Outlook is set as my default e-mail program.
I tried using a 3rd party PDF reader (Foxit Reader) and the e-mail button works as expected (opens a new message with the PDF attached).
I am running Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit with Outlook 2013 32-bit (this was what was recommended by Microsoft on the Office download site).
I would appreciate help anyone can provide to fix this problem.
    Thank you.

It may be a similar issue, but not the same issue. This is not the Reader forum, but if you are worried about the compatibility it is a simple matter to upgrade your Reader to AR XI. The original post had to do with a cost product, not the free Reader.
For AA7, the PDF Maker of AA7 is not compatible with Outlook 2013 as suggested. You should still be able to open most PDFs, but to create a PDF from Outlook you will have to print to the Adobe PDF printer or upgrade to AA XI.

  • How to Sync iPhone 4s with Outlook 2013 (64-bit)

I used to sync my iPhone 4s with Outlook 2013 (32-bit) with no problems at all.  I have changed ove to the 64-bit Outlook for reasons I do not need to mention here.  I am now unable to set up to sync with Calendars, Notes and Tasks.
When I setup to sync using iCloud Contro panel, the setup runsa dn advises that it HAS been set up innOutlook.  But in Outlook, there is no relevant tab or folder (as was the case in Outlook 2013 32-bit).
The Outlook for iCloud add-in is present in Outlook and there are no error messages.
I believe( from a Microsoft forum) that this may be because Microsoft moved the registry location of Outlook's mail profiles for Outlook 2013.  They used to be under HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/Windows Messaging Subsystem/Profiles but now they're under HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Office/15.0/Outlook/Profiles. Apparently this is to provide the ability to have multiple versions of Outlook installed.  I suspect that the iCloud provider does not take this into consideration yet and that Apple will have to address it.
Am I correct? or is there a way to get the sync to work?

Yes, I removed iCloud add-on from Outlook; and uninstalled iCloud.  I then re-installed, and sync would not work (no tab for sync in Outlook either). There was no improvement.
However, since reading your post, I have just tried signing out of icloud control panel and signing in again....and now all si working as it should.  Weird!!
    Thanks for your assistance.

  • After modifying an appointment with Outlook 2013 SP1 CU 10/14 or higher it cannot be read via WebDAV anymore

    Hi,
we use WebDAV to read appointments from Exchange Server 2007 SP3 CU. When we modified an appointment with
Outlook 2013 CU 09/14 we experienced that we could not query it with the filter BillingInformation<>"" anymore.
With the Outlook 2013 CU 10/14 this temporarily fixed, but reocurred last week. It does not happen with Outlook 2010 SP2 (14.0.7113.500) or other versions of Outlook.
    How can we tackle this?
    Thanks for any advice
