Exchange 'Approval Processing Agent' run time

We have a mailbox that gets lots of emails and is therefore moderated. In Exchange if a moderated email is not acknowledged or deleted, it sends out a notification to the sender that the approval time has expired. We are okay with this. The problem we have is that the 'Approval Processing Agent' is deciding to run at 1pm. Since many of the emails aren't approved but are actually just deleted, it seems that the Agent cannot process "approvals" until it goes through it's "expiration" messages first. It appears to me as if there is a queue involved where if a message is approved after 1pm, it goes to the bottom of the queue while the agent processes the expiration notices.Does anyone know if there is a way to change the time when the Agent actually runs? At the moment we have the expiration timeout set to 4 days but would like the Agent...

The issue seems to be directly related to Connection Filtering and IPBlockListProviders.
If the DNS response times to the RBL's are slow; the Connection Filter waits; causing excessively slow SMTP connection times; and can ultimately result in undesireable mail flow.
I was able to improve my RBL DNS response times by using OpenDNS as the provider of DNS.
Using Root Hints on my DNS server; I am unable to access several RBL's.
Uninterested in configuring an RBL replica DNS zone as the RBL providers FAQ's suggest, I used DNS Conditional Forwarders to query the RBL's from trusted DNS Servers that appear to be running replica's.
Google Public DNS seems to have replica's to all but Zen.SpamHaus.org.  OpenDNS does return responses quickly from zen.spamhaus.org; but not sure if they are running a replica.
I remain unhappy with my Exchange 2013 SP1 Edge Transport Server's Connection Filtering performance, and am now looking into a Hybrid Exchange Deployment to utilize Exchange Online Protection EOP.  It seems the Exchange 2013 SP1 Edge Transport server
is the conduit for Anti-SPAM; but severely lacks the configuration necessary to be effective out of the box.

  • Process chain Run time

    Hi
    Is there any table that tells the run time of each step of process chain?
    Thanks
    Vennela

    hi,
    In RSPC, select the process chain goto logs and click on the last step in the chain and do display messages. you wil get a screen with three tabs, goto Chain tab, you will find the time when the step in the chain started and the end time. This will tell you the run time for each step of the process chain.

  • BW Statistics query with process chain run times.

    Hello Guru's,
    We are using BW 3.5 system and the client have asked if it is possible to create a report in BW based out of the Statistics Cube that shows the current status of the Process Chains .i.e. the start/end time of specific process chains along with some sort of Exceptions to show successfully completed chains as 'Green', chains finishing with errors as 'red' and chains presently running as 'Yellow'.
    I have seen such a report in my previous project, but that was using BI 7.0, I am not able to find such Statistics Info Cube in BW 3.5 which meets my requirements.
    Has anybody created such a report in BW 3.5? If yes, would very much appreciate if you can share your way of approach with me.
    Thanks
    Arvind

    Hi Arvind,
    Yes you can achieve this functionality using BW Technical Content. I already implemented this for one of our client. We have some Standard InfoProviders where in wee can get the Start and End time of chains. You can build a query on these Cubes & Multiprovider and there in create exceptions to reflect which step got completed with in stipulated time limit and which took longer than usual......u can display those time statistics in different colour.
    Here are soem cubes names from BW Technical content which may meet your requirement specification:
    1. 0TCT_C01
    2. 0TCT_C02
    3. 0TCT_CA1
    4. 0TCT_C23
    5. 0TCT_C21
    Hope it helps

  • Advenced Signal Processing 7.5 Run Time Engine in LVIEW 8.2 Installer

    Hello,
    I am trying ot create an installer using LVIEW 8.2 and I need to include the Advanced Signal Processing Toolkit run-time engine but this is not listed in the 'Additional installers'.
    I have run and installed the Advanced Signal Processing Toolkit (7.5) and the run time engine on my machine.
    How can I include this run time engine in my installer?

    The Application Builder of LabVIEW cannot let you select the Advanced Signal Processing Runtime Engine like you select the LabVIEW runtime engine and other driver engines.   You have to do it by yourself.
    What the Advanced Signal Processing Runtime Engine installer does is to install the DLLs to the system32 folder.  So what you need to do is to add the DLLs to your project and configure your installer to install the DLLs to the system32 folder.
    See the attachement for more hints.

  • Pointers for optimizing system performance (run time) while running DP process chain with parallel processing

    Hi Experts,
    We are running APO DP process chain with parallel processing in our company, we are experiencing some issues regarding run time of process chain, need your help on below points;
    - What are the ways we can optimize process chain run time.
    - Special points we need to take care of in case of parallel processing profiles used in process chain.
    - Any specific sequence to be followed for different processes in process chain - if there is some best practice followed.
    - Any notes suggesting ways to improve system performance for APO version 7 with different enhancement packs 1 and 2.
    Any help will be really appreciated.
    Regards

    HI Neelesh,
    There are many ways to optimize performance of the process chains (background jobs) in APO system.
    Firstly I would recommend you to identify the pain areas (steps) which are completing with more runtimes. Then each one of the step has got different approaches to decrease the runtime.
    Like you may end up with steps like infopackage executions, DTPs, DP mass processing jobs etc which might be running with more runtimes. So now target each one of them differently and find out the ways to optimize. At the same time the approach you follow should be technically possible with basis perspective (system load and utilization) as well.
    And coming to parallel processing, you can use parallel processing for different for different jobs. You can further r explore on the same using parallel processing. Like loading an infocube, mass processing, infopackage execution, DTP, TSCOPY etc.
    Check the below link for more info

  • Passing the queue name to the sender JMS adapter at run time..

    Hello Experts,
    I have a scenario where PI is to pick data from MQ queues. The message type coming from queues is same and the procession needs to be done with PI is also the same.That's the reason why we want to have only one interface processing the data for all the queues.
    My question here is that is there any way where I do not put the queue name in the sender adapter at design time and based on the data availability in the queue let the sender adapter know the queue name to be processed at run time.
    Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
    - Rajan

    > My question here is that is there any way where I do not put the queue name in the sender adapter at design time and based on the data availability in the queue let the sender adapter know the queue name to be processed at run time.
    Unfortunately for JMS Sender CC it is not possible, but other way around is possible. I.e. you can dynamically choose the receving queue names by using ASMA "JMSReplyTo" in JMS Sender CC.

  • Connectivity from ejb to Resource Adapter at run time

              I am facing a problem regarding the look-up of the Resource Adapter from the Ejb.
              To explain :
              1.I have The <resource-ref> tag in ejb-jar.xml set at follows :
              <resource-ref>
              <description>The Resource Adapter</description>
              <res-ref-name>eis/RitResourceAdapter</res-ref-name>
              <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
              <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
              </resource-ref>
              and the <resource-description> tag in weblogic-ejb-jar.xml as follows:
              <resource-description>
              <res-ref-name>eis/RitResourceAdapter</res-ref-name>
              <jndi-name>eis/RitResourceAdapterConnectorJNDINAME</jndi-name>
              </resource-description>
              2.Even though I have mentioned the res-ref-type as javax.sql.Datasource , in my
              code I have done :
              rcf = (RitConnectionFactory) c.lookup ("java:comp/env/eis/RitResourceAdpapter");
              Where rcf is the my Resource Adapter specific Connection Factory (one which
              I have prepared and not
              the javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory). So this means the connection
              object which I get is casted to
              get my own application specific connection object.
              3.When I run my servlet (which looks up the Ejb and which in turn looks-up the
              Resource Adapter) it works fine to the point that it looks-up the bean successfully
              but fails when it tries to do so for Resource Adapter. The Server exception is
              as follows :
                        javax.ejb.EJBException
                        - with nested exception:
              [javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Unable to resolve comp/env/eis/RitResourceAdpapter/
              Resolved: 'comp/env/eis' Unresolved:'RitResourceAdpapter' ; remaining name '']
              It will be great to hear about any solution from you people.
              For your information :
              I am using Weblogic 6.1, both the ejb jar and the RitResourceAdapter.rar has been
              deployed and the relevant portion of the weblogic-ra. xml is :
              <connection-factory-name>LogicalNameOfRitResourceAdapter</connection-factory-name>
              <jndi-name>eis/RitResourceAdapterConnectorJNDINAME</jndi-name>
              Regards,

This would ensure that your approval processes would run in serial manner for a single request.

    Hi,
    Go to the function module RSD_IOBJ_GET to find the object name of the dimension. Go to SE37 & proceed as follows.
      I_IOBJNM = 'Info Object Name'
      I_OBJVERS = 'A'
      I_BYPASS_BUFFER = 'X'
    and then Execute the FM.
    Double click on the "'E_S_VIOBJ'" and find the number in the field 'u201ENUMBRANR‟'
    and add  BIM to the number taken  from NUMBRANR.
    Goto SNRO T-Code and enter BIM+the number and edit.
    From Edit--> Set up Buffering --> Main memory, select the buffering check box and enter approx 500.
    This needs to be done for all the master and your dataload performance would improve.

  • Can I change a process flow at run time??

    Hello everybody,
    I work in Oracle BPMS 11.1.1.5. I need to change a process flow at run time due to changes in the business logic, I mean add, delete and modify tasks, navigation flow, etc. I know business rules can be modified using Oracle BPM Composer, but I couldn't find the way to modify the process flow. I have seen other BPMS, like BizAgi, for ex. that can do that. Do Oracle BPMS have that functionality? Please I need it a lot!!!!
    Regards and thanks in advance,
    isabelbernely

    Hi
    As JonPetter mentioned, you can get this and preferably get only from Support. I hope you have some license if you going to prod with this. Use that and if possible talk to your sales guy and create a support account. Then request the feature pack. The thing is, if we put it in some public shared location, it is the violation of using the oracle product. Unless someone takes risks they may upload but still its not advisable.
    Sorry

  • When i run Time Machine to back up my computer onto an external hard drive, i have no way of knowing when the back up process has been completed. I don't know when it is safe to disconnect the external hard drive - which is store in a separate location.

    When i run Time Machine to back up my computer on to an external hard drive, i have no way of knowing when the back up process has been completed.  This is necessary to know because i don't leave my external hard drive connected to the computer.  I routinely disconnect it after backing up the hard drive, and then i store the external hard drive in a different location from the computer.  So, knowing when the back up process has been completed would be a very helpful thing to have the computer specify.

    Just enable Time Machine's menu extra (System Preferences -> Time Machine -> Show Time Machine in menu bar.
    This will add a little Time Machine icon to your menubar. When Time Machine is actively backing up your data, the icon will spin as a visual indicator. You can also click the menu icon to see the backup status, including how much data is left to back up.

  • ABAP process job ( BI_PROCESS_ABAP ) in process chain running for long time

    Dear Experts,
    We have an ABAP process job  BI_PROCESS_ABAP  in a process chain. This job is running for a very long time than previous run time.
    Recently we had an ORACLE database upgrade from 9.2 to 10g.
    From the very next day , we are having this problem.
    And also previously this process-chain was under control of BASIS guys . they were using a tool called CRONACLE to schedule it. At the time of upgrade this tool was crashed and they asked us to schedule it in BW system instead.
    Underlying program is using two custom tables.
    one is having both primary & secondary indexes but the other table is having only primary index.
    I am not sure whether we have secondary indexes on other table prior to upgrade or not.
    Where must be the problem?...
    At the time of upgrade BASIS has re-organized the table space along with database upgrade.
    please help me...
    Regards,
    SRIKANTH

    Please ask yr basis consultant to check the system parms.
    Below i have listed down SAP recommneded system parms .
    abap/heap_area_total 4000000000
    abap/heap_area_dia 2000000000
    abap/heap_area_nondia 2000000000
    Also check in SM37 if any other jobs are running for long time, peventing the your job running.
    Check the SM12 for locks or SM58

  • Sending mail to agent at run time determination

    hi all
    i have a problem sending mail to the person who has been identified on runtime basis.
    scenario is that i have created a custome rule to determine the person (partner function) on run time basis but problem is that i need to send only mail to that person not the object. as you may be aware we cant use rule in send mail step
    is there any way i can send mail only in this scenario
    help will definitely be appreciated
    regards
    ashish

    You need to store the agents that is getting retrieved from the rule in a Container element and use this isn the Expression of the send mail task.
    Use FM RH_GET_ACTORS to retrieve agent from Rule by using coding in method of respective BO.
    Thanks
