Exe behaves inconsistently with input data into a cluster

I'm on Labview 2011, SP1, so this may have been updated, but here's a quirk I discovered.
I was reading a network shared variable on a remote machine (with 7 integers) into a labview built app (exe) and passing those integers to a cluster used for control.  Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, so I figured I didn't understand shared variable enough (even though I had used them in the same situation many times).
I switched to writing a file on that remote system, then reading that info into the same cluster.  Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.  Tried all kinds of tricks, but any time there was a direct connection between that variable input data and the cluster, it was inconsistent.
Turns out that the problem seemed to be the exe halting without error upon bundling the data into the cluster, but not every time.
So what finally got around the problem was writing the integers to a duplicate cluster, then using a local variable of that cluster to bundle those values into the  controlling cluster.
Once the path between network passed input data and controlling cluster was "double blind" to the application builder, the problem was gone.
In case it makes some difference, the controlling cluster originated as a user control.

Do you have a simple example that demonstrates the problem. I would like to test it on later versions.

  • How to input data into a table with columns?

I am trying to input data into a table.  My table have 5 columns and an unlimited amount of rows.  I created a program in LabView that enters the data into the table but it enters all of the data in one row.  I would like to enter the first set of information into the first column, the second set of info into the second  column and so on.  I am including a copy of the program that I am working with.  I would like the number of runs to be put into the first column (it should count down like number 5 in first row, number 4 in second row, number 3 in third row, and so on).  I would like the applied voltage to be placed in the second column, and so on.  Any help or information will be greatly appreciated.  I am working with LabView Version 6.1 and 8.0.  I am submitting the vi from 6.1.

    Pondered,
I looked at your code and I think you might be making things too complicated. I've included a very simple example that demonstrates how to write a 2D array of integers to a table. Hope you find this helpful. It is in LV 7.1.

  • I have manually inputted data into a blank spreadsheet and would like to use a form to enter data into that sheet !!! How do I do that please

I have manually inputted data into a blank spreadsheet and would like to use a form to enter data into that sheet !!! How do I do that please

    Leigh,
After creating your table, Tap the Tab marked "+" and select "Form" - you will be asked which table to use. (You should get into the habit of naming your tables - if the table name isn't visible, select the table and tap the Styles (Brush) Menu > Table > Turn ON table Name, then double tap on the Table to edit it.)
Select the table you wish to to fill with a form and you will see a new form based on the header data.
The form will allow you to add one row at a time and when you get to the last row, there is an option at the bottom of the form to add a new row using the "+" button. At the top of the form is the row header which you can rename by double tapping.
You can also rename the form on the Tab by double tapping on the name.
    Try it out.

  • Input data into dynamic calc in Planning forms

    Hi guys,
Have someone tried to combine these two requirements:
    1.     to have upper level members dynamic calc
    2.     to give users the ability to input data into those upper level members through Planning forms.
I need to do that in order to pass inputted values into HBR, and allocate those values to the leaf level across multiple dimensions. I need those members dynamic calc because otherwise I would need to aggregate data across 7 dimensions and that takes too long. Those allocations are suposed to happen constantly and are the main purpose of application.
I know you can have dummy stored members that correspond the uper level dynamic members, but then the user will have input forms without current data and will be required to check reports/forms with dynamic calc members prior to updating data.
I wonder if it is a realistic task to change jsp files that generate those forms, so that data can be inputed into the form, but instead of passing it to Essbase cube to send it to relational database.
    P.S.
This is related to the thread I opened about optimizing recalculation time:
Recalculatiion takes much longer than initial calculation
I received a lot of valuable advices that would definitely work in other situations, but in my case they seem to contradict either user concurrent access or performance requirements.
    Thanks a lot!
    Dmitry

    Hi Glenn,
I think i found a workaround for this, or may be i am missing something. I will replicate my hierarchies so that one hierarchy will have uper level stored members, and another dynamic calc. Once user loads the form it will run on-load script that will copy data from corresponding dynamic calc to stored slice. The updated data will be alocated to the leaf level, but will never be aggregated. Since reporting is done from ASO cube i only care about the leaf level and current selection in the form.
    Thanks!

  • How to input data into Pdf file

I am not too sure if I am posting my question in the right forum.
I would like to know what version of Adobe acrobat can allow me to create a document, where clients can input data into it?
    Here is an online example

    Thanks.

If your users will be using Reader and you want your users to be able to save the form or email it, you will need to apply 'Extended Form Rights' (version 8 Provessional or Version 9 Standard or better) and for signatures you will need to apply 'Signature Rights' using an Adobe server product.

  • Problem with input data format - not "only" XML

    Hi Experts,
I have problem with input data format.
I get some data from JMS ( MQSeries) , but input format is not clear XML.
This is some like flat file with content of XMLu2026.
    Example:
    0000084202008-11-0511:37<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <Document xmlns="urn:xsd:test.01" xmlns:xsi=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance Sndr="0001" Rcvr="SP">
    ...content....
    </Document>000016750
Problems in this file is :
    1. data before parser <? xml version="1.0"> -> 0000084202008-11-0511:37
    2. data after last parser </Document> -> 000016750
    This data destroy XML format.
Unfortunately XI is not one receiver of this files and we canu2019t change this file format in queue MQSeries ( before go to XI) .
My goal is to get XML from this file:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <Document xmlns="urn:xsd:test.01" xmlns:xsi=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance Sndr="0001" Rcvr="SP">
    ...content....
    </Document>
    My questions:
    1. Is any way or technique to delete this data 0000084202008-11-0511:37  in XI from this file ?
    2. Is any way to get only XML from this file ?
    Thanx .
    Regards,
    Seo

    Hi Buddy
What is the XI adapter using?
If you use inbound File adapter content conversion you could replace these values with none and then pass it to the scenario.
    Does that help?

  • How to input data into an arraylist from a text file?

I am trying to take data from a text file and put that data into an arraylist. First here is the text file:
    [item1, 10, 125.0, item2, 10, 12.0, item3, 20, 158.0]
    3
    4530.0
    [item5, 65, 555.5, item4, 29, 689.0]
    2
    56088.5
    [item7, 84, 34.5, item6, 103, 0.5, item8, 85, 1.36]
    3
3065.1The text between the [ ] is the output from my arraylists. I have three arraylists. The first [ ] belongs to arraylist A, the second to arraylist B, and the third to arraylist C. The format of the arraylists is this:
    <item name>,<# in stock>,<value of one item>

  • Adobe form not saving user-input data into saved pdf file

    Hi forumers,
I'm a new abap developer and I'm tasked to create an interactive adobe form that will require the user to input data in the form.
No data is passed and received from PDF, but PDF has to be u2018Fillableu2019. I am able to fill out the form but when I actually save the form, it will be saved as a blank form again. I've seen the relevance of the  LS_DOCPARAMS-FILLABLE = 'X' on this forum and I have incorporated it in my code. But how should I code the abap program to enable to save the user input as well into the form.

Not quite yet, I have to say...
If you check the domain "FPINTERACTIVE", you'll see these values:
                   Print Form
X     Interactive Form with Additional Usage Rights
N     Interactive Form Without Additional Usage Rights
    F
So, you are not providing "additional usage rights" (Adobe Form Credentials), meaning there could be a problem when you want to use those forms in a Production environment.

  • EPM add-in problem with input data, retrieve dimension or members

    Hello everyone,
I am trying to use data write back (input data) function with EPM add-in in Dashboards. I managed successfully bringing results of an EPM report. I've created a local connection at EPM, and created a  connection at data manager for"Planning and consolidation, version for SAP netweaver platform". And i could get the values via refreshing connection at preview mode, so far so good. Now i want to add a connection which will serve as data write back function to a specific BPC cube. The problem is,  I can retrieve data source name and environment name. But when i click to retrieve model names, it retrieves empty results. The problem exist in, "retrieve dimension" and"retrieve dimension members" functionalities too. I realized that i could retrieve model names for only one specific environment, but even i could get these, when i try to retrieve "cell definition" i am facing an error. You can see related screenshots below.
I am using Dashboards 4.1 SP2,  EPM connector 10 SP 17.  I created two connections as local and business planning and consolidation for netweaver. I selected same environment and model name for these connections. Neither did work.  Any ideas?
Update: The reason i could see some model names and some others not  was i didn't specified the model as data source at:
Enable BPC Model as reporting data source

I will update here if i could find a solution for the other issue. (First screenshot).
Update_2: The problem was occuring because i wasn't connecting to transient cube, created automatically by applying the step at Update_1. While creating a local connection, you shouldn't connect to the original cube, but to the transient one instead to use input data functionality.

    HI,
I believe it is definitely the support pack. I posted an issue on this forum and I saw your post.  Your issue is very similar to mine. I saw Andy's reply to you about the SP 18 and looked into it.  Thanks Andy.  SP 18 resolved my issue.  See my post.  Kathy

  • Cannot input data into Text Field on from Adobe Acrobat  Reader

I created a form in Acrobat 5 that has check boxes and text fields. Using reader I can open the doc and use check boxes and input text into fields. Once this doc is loaded to our web server and a user opens or downloads the file they can check the boxes but cannot enter any text into the text fields. Am I missing something?
    Thanks in advance

    And so.. what is invalid?
I've uploaded the pdf files as example:
    My generated pdf
    http://compuhelp.free.fr/adobe/before.pdf
The modified version by Adobe Acrobat Reader:
    http://compuhelp.free.fr/adobe/after.pdf
(I can generate a more complexe pdf file with fonts, images,... it will be displayed correctly, but Adobe always want to modifiy it).
So perhaps I missed somthing into the pdf file format specification ?

  • How to  convert the input  Dates  into ReminderInfo in AssignTask Activity!!

    Hi
We are reading reminder  time and  Date from   the user   thru the form. We  want to  bind this input date and time with ReminderInfo data type to  set
    Reminders in Assign Task Activity.
Please  find the ppt for more info.
Please help  us in this regard.
    Thanks
    Praveen

    Nith,
I know this thread is old, but how do you identify the Assign Task instance you want to adjust?
I see processData/asdf..... in your screen shot - is this a global reference to assign task objects or to a specific instance?
I have a process that has multiple assign task calls in it, and only want to set reminders on one of them.
Thanks for your help - as always.

  • Can you input data into Ipod without a computer?

Just Wondering if a keyboard or some kind of device was made to input data directly on the ipod. That would be really useful. Let me know if any of you know anything about it.
    Cheers!
