Execute a package with an abap routine

Hi experts,
I need to execute an infopackage througth an abap routine.
Can anybody tell me what is the code i need to implement it?

Hello Olivier,
We need run the same IP simultaneously with different selections.
This selections have to be configured with an ABAP routine.
The ABAP routine is into a standard BADI.
The BADI is always called when a user runs a task in the consolidation monitor of BCS.
In the BADI a method returns all the parameters that we need to configure the selection in the package filters.
I´ve tried run the same IP with different selections and there was no problems.
"would say you should create one InfoPackage for each set of selection and you can run all of them together using a process chain or InfoPackage group"
It is impossible because we would have more than 1000 selection combinations so we would need the same number of IPs. When a user calls a task in the consolidation monitor, the task depends on the society, version, period, year ...

Error with Project Parameters when executing the package with dtexec command

Hi,
We have started migrating our SSIS package from 2005 version to SSIS 2012. In SSIS 2005 we were using XML configuration files and executing the packages with dtexec command from the packages folder (without deploying packages to filesystem).
Now in SSIS 2012, we have seen Project Parameters and created couple of package parameters and used those parameters in the package. when executing this package from solution explorer it was working fine but when i try to execute the same package from command
line with Dtexec command, it was showing an error message of 'Not able to map Project Prameters to configurations'.
Could you please give me an idea of how to execute the packages from command line by using dtexex command. basically i would like use project parameters in 2012 similar to configurations?

ABAP Routine to duplicate data

Dear Experts:
I need to duplicate data in a cube, changing the time characteristics. Can I do this with an ABAP Routine. This duplication has to be done each time the infopackage is executed. If this is posible, where should I write this routine? In the Start Routine of the Update Rules of the cube? or in the Update Rules inside the time characteristics?

So something has gone bump somewhere inthe Export DataSource creation. The cube name ZBALANCE should not be an issue.
One thing that might be an cause, although I think you get a message about it is a missing Factview when you try to run the InfoPkg, but it's worth a look. Each cube should have a Factview created. It is a union view of both the F and E fact tables. Normally, the export datasource uses this view to extract tdata form the cube.
In SE12, search Views to see if you have the FactView - /BIC/VZBALANCEF. If you are missing it, search OSS notes on "Missing Factview". There is a pgm you can run - SAP_FACTVIEWS_RECREATE that recreates all teh Factviews.

Data selection in info package using ABAP routine.

Populate new fields in DSO (DBTable) with ABAP routine

Hi,
I've added a couple of fields to a DSO. The DSO contains a large number of records (60m+) and I have a tight window to cutover so the activation time would be an issue if I use a loop transformation. Therefore, I am looking to populate the additional fields directly in the Active table using an ABAP routine.
One of the fields is a key figure to be derived from an existing CHAR field so would need to apply some logic during update, such as IF <CHAR_FIELD> CA 'ABC'. <KYF_FIELD> = 1 etc.
Aside from fairly basic Start Routines my ABAP is very poor so was wondering if anyone can help me with the syntax or, preferably some sample code to achieve this.

   There you can assign value in RESULT field. Actually RESULT field is assigned to E, find the code below,

ABAP Routine in selection of Info package in 3x

Hello Experts
We need to load distinct PO data in 3x server.
I have added this distinct po values in range table of info package abap routine.
However its not loading for range table values more than two selections/pos.
If I try to append more than 2 values,only last one is uploaded.
However after load, in monitor tab-header , selection paramenters I can see all PO values in selection.
Some how it works only for two inputs (rows) in range table of ABAP routine in infopackage.
Anybody has faced such issue? any help is appreciated!

Abap Routine in DTP Filter with selection in a table

I'm trying include a abap routine in a DTP filter, for this case I need to make a select in a dso table and return a list of criterias.
Example: for this characteristic 0GL_ACCOUNT i need in a fiter 20 or more 0GL_ACCOUNT of table "/BIC/DSO_XXX".

I just copied this data from a DTP routine where i am fetching Versions from a DB table zbw_pl_proj. You may need to change the naming convention and performance tune the code ( like defining internal table only to hold GL_account and then only selecting GL_Account from ODS).

Issue with re-authentication and executing a package

We have our timeout set to 60 minutes. When I timeout and re-authenticate when on a dynamic page that executes a package onSubmit, instead of executing the package, IE tries to download it.
Has anyone ever encountered something like this and/or have any suggestions on how to deal with it?

So it does try to redirect and I am trying to catch all exceptions...yet it still does not work correctly - only when the user has to be re-authenticated.

Problem with execute SSIS package from stored procedure

How to execute Infopackage with an ABAP program

Dear All,
I would like to execute an infopackage every 6th day of the month.
Therefore I would like to integrate a program in a process chain executed on a daily basis, and call with this program the execution of the infopackage if day = 6.
Do you know how to execute an infopackage inside an ABAP program ? Which function module use ?

Hello luminy13,
Just to answer your question on how to start an InfoPackage inside an ABAP program: you can use function module BAPI_IPAK_START. You might also need to use FM BAPI_IPAK_CHANGE to change the scheduling.
However, if the only reason you are creating the ABAP program is to run the InfoPackage at the 6th day of the month, then I don't recommend that you create the ABAP program at all. You can simply schedule the InfoPackage (or the process chain that contains it) on the 6th day of the month. Here's how to do it:
In the scheduling dialog, click the ">>" button. Enter the factory calendar, put 6 is in the workday and then choose "beginning of the month".

I am trying to create a routine in the Filter of DTP, so that I can only pass records that are between sy-datum and 12/31/9999 date range. In the filter are of DTP I created ABAP routine with this code:

I do not get the ABAP dump anymore, but I still have the problem. When I run the DTP, It gets errors. In a log it says that it cannot determine the value:

Infopackage Selections Tab-OLAP Variable/ABAP Routine

In my Infopackage Selections Tab i had Cal Mon/Year field....
As per my requirment i have to write a selection condion that when we execute info package (it is a monthly data load) it will extract data only for the months greater than or equal to current month
Please update me on how can i achieve this either by using OLAP Variable or ABAP Routine in infopackage...will be great if can provide the required ABAP Code
