Execute a scenario from Agent - change the value of variable

hi,
does anyone know, why id doesn't work...
I execute a package with these steps:
1. Declare a variable
2. Execute a Procedure.
I have declared a default Value "123" for this variable.
After I execute this package in Agent (not OSCommand) and overwrite this variable with "456" (it should be a parameter for a user), THE PROCEDURE HAS BEEN EXECUTES WITH "123" - the default value.

Ok,
Because when you said that just declared the variable, I thought that you was calling the package passing the variable as parameter at a odi command...
There is a bug on that window, it doesn't work. If you execute the same action on Metadata Navigator will work fine.
A possible workaround to execute from Designer is::
1) Create a new package
2) add the scenario to this package.
3) at the propriety window, compose the variable with the value (456 in your case)
4) generate a scenario from this new package
5) execute it. Now it will not show the variable window because you have the variable at command line.
Does it make sense to you?

You cannot change the value of variable in .bpel file using config plan. If you want to change value at runtime , you can use Preference variable. Below is the blog to help you understand more.

Error while executing a scenario from CMD

I am trying to execute a scenario from CMD using the starctscen command.
when I use the below command
E:\OraHome_ODI\oracledi\bin\startscen EXT_DATA 002 GLOBAL
it is executing correctly
but I tried to create a sceduler for the execution where i used the below command
C:\Documents and Settings\Desktop>"E:\OraHome_ODI\oracledi\bin\startscen.bat" EXT_DATA 002 GLOBAL
and it is giving me the following error
The system cannot find the path specified.
OracleDI: Starting scenario EXT_DATA 002 in context GLOBAL ...
'oracle.odi.Agent' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
can someone help me on this.

In the batch File write this way
cd E:\OraHome_ODI\oracledi\bin

startscen EXT_DATA 002 GLOBAL In case you are providing the values (EXT_DATA 002 GLOBAL) as parameter
then call the startscen this way
cd E:\OraHome_ODI\oracledi\bin

Can we change the value of a variable in the driver program from sapscript?

Hello Experts,
I am currently developing a form wherein I need to change the value of a variable defined in the standard
driver program through the sapscript form. Unfortunately, I cannot customize this standard program since this is used by many other
subsidiaries. So, is there anyway that I can change a variable defined in the driver program via sapscript?
I tried to use a PERFORM to change its value but it is not working.

As long as there are no confounding factors, such as certain extensions, or a user.jsfile the procedure is as follows
# Open a new tab and type "about:config" in the address bar.
# In the Search bar type: "newtab"
# Locate and double click "browser.newtab.url"
# In the "Enter String Value" box change "'''about:newtab'''" to "'''about:blank'''" and click OK.
# Verify that the value has changed and now all new tabs will be blank.

Have to say that I rather agree with Mark..all we want is a simple, unadorned clean page that doe not track and show usage!! WHY NOT!! Probleme changing the value of a variable in movieclip from my scene

i have a probleme changing the value of a variable in movieclip from my scene. i explain: I have combobox on my scene containing categories, and in the scene i load an xml file containing links to php files that work with the combobox.
Also on the scene i have a movieclip "filmstrip", inside this movieclip on the first frame i have a script loading the php file selected in the scene . i use a load() function with a variable "theUrl" inside like this : T.load(theUrl);.
In my scene i want to change the value of "theUrl" inside the movieClip filmstrip. I tried filmstrip.theUrl = url; But it doesnt work

It is not possible to have Input controll in all tabs that will be set from another .
But There is one workaround .

How can I change the value used in a Criteria Rule in a Subscription agent

Dear mobile heroes.... How can I change the value used in a Criteria Rule in a Subscription agent in a quality environment? (CRM 70 SP04).
I have built a subscription agent in dev, which uses a static where clause to filter activity_object on VKORG. I need to filter on a different VKORG value in the quality environment, but when I change the value of the sales org, the change is not saved. I have tried this even non 'activated' subscription agents, but it still does not appear possible to change and save the changes.
This poses a big problem because the VKORG value I want to use does not even exist in the dev environment, so I could not even rebuild in dev and transport the new agent to quality. Can anyone help me?

I have involved in ODI 10g to 11g migration activity.
For doing that activity, i cloned the existing master and work repositories into some intermediate master and work schemas.
Created new configuration settings for pointing the odi 10g to the intermediate master and work repositories.
Everything is fine till this, but while executing any interface or package anything from intermediate work repo designer, am facing error as below

The error is resolved by following the below solution
If you receive an error in ODI 10g like;

1.First check whether your agents are working and test connection to repositories. If everything ok, you might have changed your repository name recently.
2.When you export your work and master repository and import to another schema or database and whether you connect to your imported repository, you change your repository name in your first environment.
3.Correct order is first rename your Master Repository name, log off / log on and change your Work Repository name and check below fields in both your Master and Work Repositories in both environments.
Master Repository : SNP_REM_REP
Work Repository : SNP_LOC_REPW
REP_NAME column of MASTER_REP.SNP_REM_REP should be equal to REP_NAME column in WORK_REP.SNP_LOC_REPW.
You cannot see WORK_REP.SNP_LOC_REPW value in ODI Topology Manager and if you are changing your repository name you need to update value from database.
Change the value from DB, loggoff and logon the user and connect the designer again.

Can I execute a scenario from a procedure? I know I can execute scenarios from the command line. I was hoping to avoid that since I need my job to run in multiple envirnoments and may not reliably know where STARTSCEN is located or if it will always work. Basically, I would like to execute several jobs multiple times, depending on values in a table that will be changed between runs.

Change the value of a variable used in a View query

I am using JDeveloper 11g to develop a simple portlet application which displays data loaded from database. I am displaying the data by dragging the ViewObject from the AppModuleDataControl to the View.jspx page and selecting the option ADF Read-only Table. My ViewObject has a single variable :empId. Now is it possible to change the value of this variable with a value that comes from the request object. On the internet I found the following code:

Did you add a break point and debug the code to see what is the value for the :empid parameters passed in to your view object?
If you are sure you have passed in the correct value for ":empid" parameter, then do the following:

Event handling while changing the value or clicking the button

I am working on Jdeveloper 11.1.1.5.
I have a must requirement where i have a textbox and a button.
Now if a user changes the value of the textbox then i need to show a dialog to the user for the confirmation that whether he wants to continue or not.
And on click of button i execute my business logic and commit in the database.
NOTE :- I am opening that dialog on the valueChangeEvent of the textbox.
Case 1 :-
User enter a value in the textbox and tab out the field , value change occurs and dialog displayed onto the page. -> CORRECT
Case 2 :-
User enter a value in the textbox and does not tab out the field and directly click on the button.In that case , actually valueChange and button code both executes at the same time.I mean to say , the user click on the button , i get the dialog , but my business logic also gets executed. -> INCORRECT(ISSUE)
How should i restrict the button logic to be executed till the dialog has been shown and user has confirmed.
Kindly suggest!!!

i want to change the value of parameter 'x1' which i import from program has a value 'ECNC' and want to display in output of smartfrom as 'ECNEC'. how i change it from program lines.
I use program lines to change its value....... use input parameter 'x1' and output paramter 'x1'
and program lines are
IF x1 = 'ECNC'.
x1 = 'ECNEC'.
ENDIF.
and in condition i use
x1 = 'ECNC'
but it doesn't effect output is same as it show the value of x1 = 'ECNC' when i execute the program.
How i change the value of x1 to 'ECNEC'

Have you declared the Variable X1 under Global Definitions ?
please debug the Smartform by the following way.
Goto the generated Function module - > Search for your Variable X1 ( Choose Main program )- > Set Break point
Debugger will be called after giving printing parameter automatically. Check it whether value get changed ( Your Code is working or not ).

Changing the value of a control in a subvi

I think the answer is out there somewhere but I've read through many threads found with searches similar to this topic so sorry to repost...
I would like to change the value of a top-level VI control from a sub-vi. The data is being used as a parameter, I was thinking about using a local/global but I've seen this discouraged. Is there a way I can do it with references, property, or invoke nodes (or some other suggested method) ?
I am guessing that if I am not using globals I will need to wire into the sub-vi?

I'd like to clarify what I am trying to do a bit more...
The sub-vi has a control of the same type as the top-level vi. The inital control value is being passed into the sub-vi from the top-level vi. The sub-vi uses the control value in several places through local variables (reading and writing to it)
I would like to modify the vi so the top-level vi control value changes whenever the sub-vi changes the control value that is passed to it.
My last attempt was to make a refnum control in the sub-vi (by dragging from top-level block diagram to sub front panel) and then creating a property node from that refnum control. Using the property node "value" did not give me the value of the control from the top-level vi as I had hoped. Wiring it to a terminal that was expecting the same type of control (a cluster of two numerics) caused a wiring conflict.
I noticed elsewhere in the code that the programmer used a text file to save options (unfortunately the control I am working on was not originially included in the options). There is a vi that, when called, either reads or writes to the text file. From a C/C++ programming perspective it seems quite odd to me not to just keep all this data in memory and pass it around. Is using a file to store variables a typical practice in LV programming (even when they are retrieved multiple times during program execution) ?

Change the value of a field in a form when the form is displayed

I have a report which has a link to a form for updating the records. I have used a link to the form from report which displays the the record to be updated i.e it gets default values from the report. I need to change one of these values at the time of displaying the form. The set_value in the 'before displaying the page' section doesn't change the vaue displayed in the form. I tried in other 'Advanced pl/sql' sections provided but didn't succeed.
