Execute COMMAND on windows

Hello,
in my CONSOLE opens a program (Pf) and it is written by me the following at the CONSOLE:
C:\>pf -Pcts12
42
^Z
^Z
^Z
-my ask is: as I can write the way of writing standing above in java a code?
Yours sincerely

I'm not sure what you're asking.
If you want to use Java to execute an external comman, yes, you can do that with the various java.lang.Runtime.exec methods.
You'll want to read this though:

  • Using cfexecute to execute dos command in windows.

    Hi!
    Well i have a requirement where i need to check status of
    particular service in windows from time to time.
    I inferred that we can use cfexecute for this. Well i tried
    to use the same but i was not successful in achieving the desired
    result.
    The following is the code i have written for the above
    purpose.
    <cfexecute name="sc query Internet Information Services"
    arguments="y"
    outputfile="d:\Temp\Output.txt"
    timeout="90" />
    I get the following message:

    Please advice on this.

    Hi Pandiyan Muthuraman,
    Did you mean even you disable or open the related port the FTP issue still exist? I found this errors most time occur when we use the ISA firewall and the FTP configured passive
    mode, if you have ISA firewall please refer the following KB to fix this issue.

  • Windows Image Deployment - WinPE - Execute Command After Server Image Deployment but Before WinPE Reboot

    Simplified version: Execute command in WinPE after server image deployment but before WinPE reboots.
    I have a custom ISO with a boot.wim and install.wim for deploying Windows Server to our environment. Our environment does not allow DHCP and we have no static IPs available at build time so this will all be done with no internet connection during all phases
    of deployment.
    We have a custom HTA form that generates an XML file based on user input and stores it on the RAMDisk during WinPE. How can we move this XML file from the RAMDisk to the deployed Windows Server image?
    Thanks in advance, Tim

    I believe you should be able to do this during the offlineServicing configuration pass.  You would just need to add into your answer file a command or script to copy from the XML file over to the newly created C:\ drive.
    I don't have System Image Manager installed on the computer I'm using but if I recall there is a spot during the offlineServicing pass to execute custom commands. You would just add your script path there, the WinPE system drive letter is
    X:\ , and I think the target drive letter Windows is installed to might change depending on how many devices you have hooked up so do a test install and hit SHIFT-F10 , from there you can run diskpart > list volume to see where the new Windows
    install is located.
    Another alternative could be using a USB drive as your install media, then you can run a script during offlineServicing to copy that XML over to the USB drive.

  • Executing command in new powershell window

    Hello guys, I'd like explore directions with gci, but the thing is that istead of using -recurse I'd like to open every single direction in new powershell window. I've made something like this:
    function Get-ScriptDirectory
        $Invocation = (Get-Variable MyInvocation -Scope 1).Value
        Split-Path $Invocation.MyCommand.Path
    $path = Get-ScriptDirectory
    $paths = Get-ChildItem $path -Recurse | ?{ $_.PSIsContainer }
    foreach ($element in $paths)
        start-process powershell
        $new= $path, $element -join "\"
        gci $new
    But I don't know to make Powershelle execute command in new window. Start-process powershell only opens new window, but it doesn't import bolded commands. Can I get any suggestions?

    Hi Shadston,
    To add cmdlet in "-command", please refer to the script below:
    Get-ChildItem (Split-Path $MyInvocation.MyCommand.Path) -Recurse -Directory |ForEach-Object{
    start-process -FilePath powershell -ArgumentList @('-NoExit',"& {GCI '$($_.FullName)'; Write-Host 'Hello' }")
    If there is anything else regarding this issue, please feel free to post back.

  • Command line windows

    Hi,
    I am using procedures from for example: ctx_ddl, ctx_doc packages (by my program in Java - swing, jdbc). I have problem with command line windows in Windows XP, because they appear when I execute some procedures. What should I do to hide these windows?

    I just fired up DOS edit and saw the blue screen after years and years... it does have one advantage over (plain unadorned) Notepad though -- indents are carried over to the next line.
    @TP -- I didn't find any sluggishness, and my machine isn't spectacularly fast (P4 2.8 GHz HT with 512+256 mismatched 400 MHz RAM running @ 333 MHz / WinXP SP2).

  • Execute Command fron Java Program

    Hi All,
    I am trying to execute a command from Java Application, but iam not getting any result. My problem is:-
    1- Open a terminal.
    2- execute command.
    The same is working fine in windows , the step for windows are:-
    1- execute cmd.exe
    2- go to prompt
    3- execute command.
    How to do it for Solaris 10 ??? Any cmd.exe equivalent for solaris terminal???

    This is done in the exact same way. You open a terminal (depending on your gui its called "console" or "this computer" (CDE), and "Gnome console" (iirc) in the Java desktop) and then you're home free. "javac", "java", etc. should all be in your search path.
    If not look in /usr/java.

  • Running a shell command in windows

    Hi All,
    I am facing trouble trying to run the unix command in windows. I know that Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command) has to be used for this purpose. I have a slightly different requirement , i.e it is not simply executing the command.
    Before I execute a command say " export $KEY_SETTINGS " I need to invoke the mks shell and then execute a shell (which sets few variables).
    So the code which is written (not working though :( ) is
    osCommand = "export $KEY_SETTINGS "
    pathMKS = "C:\\temp1\\mksnt\\mksnt\\sh.exe";
    pathENV = "C:\\\\temp1\\\\temp2\\\\Environ.sh";
    command[0] = "cmd";
    command[1] = "/c";
    command[2] = pathMKS + " -c " + "\". " + pathENV + " ; " + osCommand + "\"";
    report.println("Comanda="+ command[0] + ' ' + command[1] + ' ' + command[2]);
    Process process = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command);
    bufferedreader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(process.getInputStream()));
    bufferedreaderErr = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(process.getErrorStream()));
    for(int i = 0; (s = bufferedreader.readLine()) != null && i < 1; i++) {
    commandOut = commandOut + s + "\n";
    report.println("Print env:" + s);
    while((s = bufferedreaderErr.readLine()) != null) {
    commandErr = commandErr + s + "\n";
    if (!commandErr.equals("")) {
    throw new RuntimeException("Error running command: " + command[2] + "\n. Error: " + commandErr);
    The error I am getting is
    "Error running command: C:\oracle\mksnt\mksnt\sh.exe -c ". C:\\oracle\\appl\\Apps.sh ; export $KEY_SETTINGS "
    Error: Export: not found.
    Please help me out in this.

  • Using AppleScript "execute" command in Acrobat

    Acrobat's scripting dictionary has a cryptic description of an "execute" command that is supposed to execute a menu item "as if a user clicked it".
    No information is given as to how to identify the desired menu command except "reference". Huh? Is there documentation or a tutorial on this anywhere?
    Related question, how can AppleScript identify auxiliary windows such as the Document Properties window and its various button bar items and other fields?
    Here's one simple thing I'm trying to accomplish: I'm using System Events to script some items like keywords in the Document Properties window. Sometimes it takes several seconds for a document to open. Without putting in huge wait loops, I'd like to execute the menu item "File: Properties..." and then wait for the window to open using a loop like this:
    repeat until exists <some way to identify the Document Properties window>
    end repeat
    Any hope of doing stuff like this? I already tore out enough hair trying to get AppleScript's "do script" command to work (only lately having discovered that the script file apparently must be plain text, no Unicode).

    The Macintosh keyboard does not have a true "Enter" key any more - not on the MacBook Pro or the iBooks. Modifier keys do not seem to work either. I've turned on the System Prefs > Keyboard & made it appear in the top Menu Bar. From this menu choose "Show Keyboard Viewer" to see how keys + Return are displayed. Only the Function key changes the Return key. Function + Delete is a forward delete. But Function + Return is just another Return. So any highlighted text is deleted! Command + Return stays on the same line and selected text remains. I will try KeyRemap4MacBook utility then consider buying a USB numeric keypad. Urggh.

  • LrTasks.execute problem on windows

    Hi everybody,
    I wrote a script to convert image after export. It works very well on Mac, but I can't run the same function on Windows.
    This is the part of the wrong code:
    -- pluginPath = path of the plugin like ~/plugin.lrplugin/
    -- filePath = path of the image like ~/image.cr2
    -- output = path of output command like ~/image.txt
    local binExe = 'start ' .. pluginPath .. '\\bin\\convert.exe' -- not working
    if MAC_ENV then
    -- exec path for Mac (& force language to english; seem to be unnecessary LANG=C LC_ALL=C LANGUAGE=en)
    binExe = 'exec "' .. pluginPath .. '/bin/convert" '
    end
    command = binExe .. '"' .. filePath .. '" > "' .. output .. '"'
    result = LrTasks.execute(command)
    I tried a lot of combination with simple or double quote but nothing!
    I hope you can help me to solve it!
    Many thanks

  • Execute commands as an action?

    I am working for a customer implementing MARS 5.3.2 (2764). They have a lot of Windows servers they are receiving events from via SNARE. They would like to be able to execute commands on the servers depending on the event they see. For example, if their UPS system sends a message that the temperature is too hot, they'd like MARS to be able to send a shutdown command to a particular server. Has anyone seen this done and if so can I get a high-level example?
    Thanks for any help!!!
    /ahuffer/

    No this is not possible in MARS. The maximum you can do is send a regular/XML based email and let some other notification system or action system (like BMC Remedy) take care of the Windows action part.
    MARS can take responses automatically only on Cisco Switches. For Other Layer 3 devices like Cisco/Juniper firewalls it can 'suggest' mitigation commands. In newer versions it has better integration with Cisco Security Manager. But windows........I don't think so. Maybe others can suggest something more useful

    I'm not entirely sure if this was fixed in the newer CUs, but have you seen this thread?
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/041975df-a8a8-48cb-8d9f-0446c35210fe/sccm-2012-r2-boot-image-wont-load-in-windows-xp?forum=configmanagerosd
    It offers a couple of alternatives too (i.e., http://davejaskie.com/2014/04/03/installing-a-legacy-boot-image-in-sccm-to-support-xp-migrations/)

  • App-V 5: Error encountered while executing command Mount-AppvClientPackage

    I am getting this error in which no Google search reveals anyone else as having reported it anywhere.  In fact, after having posted this, it was the only search result that came up with either of these two event ID's or errors.
    I am trying to sequence an in house application. It's a manual install. The application runs perfectly prior to creating the package so I am not sure what this "specified file" is that it can't find.  It says to refer to the AppV Client Event
    Log for more details. This event was *IN* the AppV Client Event Log and there was another event along side it.
    Event ID 9001
    Error encountered while executing command Mount-AppvClientPackage -PackageId eb77be98-bc44-45fd-a0e5-95e0c315808b -VersionId c5013ec7-0456-401b-b99e-d988d97bfa55. Error: Application Virtualization Service failed to complete requested operation.
    Operation attempted: Mount Package.
    Windows Error: 0x80070002 - The system cannot find the file specified
    Error module: Streaming Manager. Internal error detail: 74F0262C80070002.
    Please consult AppV Client Event Log for more details.
    Event ID 14016
    The package {eb77be98-bc44-45fd-a0e5-95e0c315808b}
    version {c5013ec7-0456-401b-b99e-d988d97bfa55} could not be mounted
    because the network connection has been lost or is unavailable.  Check your network connection and try again.
    The network connection is still quite alive on the client and the firewall is disabled on the App-V server. I can still reach and view the xml file when browsing to the web service on the App-V server.  I can also run Sync-AppVPublishingServer from
    powershell without error.
    For more inside info on the app:
    1. It is a manual install. A directory is simply copied to the hard drive manually.
    2. An ocx file gets registered from the Syswow64 directory.
    3. MySQL 5.1.13 client is installed.
    4. Shortcuts are created.
    5. A system DSN is created using C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
    6. The app runs perfectly on the sequencer prior to creating and publishing.
    UPDATE:
    Get-AppVClientPackage reveals this:
    PackageId            : eb77be98-bc44-45fd-a0e5-95e0c315808b

    PackageSize          : 217155655
    PercentLoaded        : 0
    IsLoading            : False
    HasAssetIntelligence : True
    The path is accessible from the client server. I can see the file. It's there.

    Hello,
    If you execute get-appvclientpackage
    And then check what is the value for Path for the package you have an issue with.
    Most likely the error message means that the file in Path isn't reachable.
    As indicated here;
    The package {eb77be98-bc44-45fd-a0e5-95e0c315808b}
    version {c5013ec7-0456-401b-b99e-d988d97bfa55} could not be mounted
    because the network connection has been lost or is unavailable.  Check your network connection and try again.

  • How to Execute Commands On Win

    Hello,
    I have the need to execute some commands on windows such as COPY, MOVE.
    We have some utilities that work doing this on Unix, but they fail miserably on my 2000 box.
    Does anyone have any ideas? Links, etc.
    Thanks,
    Scott

    I'm sorry. that part was a jest. Ignore that line.
    Look at using the File class for file manipulation that will be platform independent.
    If you use the System exec calls, you lock yourself into one operating system.
