Execute_Query not working!

Hi,
I have this piece of code that is called twice as follows.
step 1) Run code before step 2
step 2) perform operation
step 3) Run code after step 2 completes successfully.
step 1 & 3 use the following code below:
         :global.auditTime := to_char(sysdate,'YY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS');
                   --qry := 'Update nes set last_Audit_Time = '||'''' ||:global.auditTime  || ''''||' where id = ' || to_char(:parameter.ne_id);
                   --forms_ddl(qry);
                   --forms_ddl('commit');
                   -- Set_Block_Property('audit',default_where,'audit_id='||:parameter.audit_id);
                   Show_Window('WINDOW_AUDIT');
                   Set_Block_Property('audit',default_where,'ne_id='||:parameter.ne_id);
                   Go_Block('audit');
                   Execute_Query;Now step 1 is working fine, I am able to show WINDOW_AUDIT with some values fetched from the table.
Step 3 is not showing the same WINDOW_AUDIT with values though there are values in the database table.
Any suggestions I need to check for?

To start with an obvious problem: forms_ddl is for DDL (Data Definition Language) calls not DML (Data Manipulation Language) calls. An update statement is a DML call.
You can issue update statements directly in PLSQL:
Update nes set last_Audit_Time = :global.audit_time
where id = :parameter.ne_id;If you must use dynamic SQL you should use the built-in EXEC_SQL package
