Executing a procedure in ADF model

Question

Dear All,
I have created a new fusion web application in ADF, in that i have created a custom entity class that overrides doDML method.
This is because i have to perform the insert, update and delete via stored procedure. But the problem is that i am unable to create a connection because it says that it cannot find the class 'FacesContext'.
I tried to import the class but the package doesnot seem to come up in import statement.
Following is my code

Class where error occurs..I have declared this class inside Model, but when i use it inside ViewController it works... !!!

So can any one provide the solution for this..

FacesContext is not available in a Model project because this is a class from the ViewController project (e.g. from the presentation layer). Note, that you do not need to create a new JDBC connection because you have to use the JDBC connection of the underlying business components. Just get the DBTransaction object of the underlying EntityImpl object and use it to prepare the necessary CallableStatement, for example:
DBTransaction dbtrans = this.getDBTransaction();
CallableStatement cstmt = dbtrans.createCallableStatement( "{ call MyProcedure( ?, ?, ? ) }", DBTransaction.DEFAULT );
