Exit from Director with error code
Hi all!
How can I exit from director with specifyed error code by
using lingo or JavaScript syntax?
I want to catch its error code in batch file for example to
do something special.
Sample batch file I want to use:
myprojector.exe
if %ERRORLEVEL% == 10 goto GO_TO_SOMETHING_WRONG
But now, by default director quit with error code 0.
Thanks in advance

I don't know of any way to do that, but you could get the
projector to
create a (zero byte) file if there's an error and in the
batch file check
for the existence of that file. (Not forgetting to delete
that file, if it
exists, when the projector starts.)

Manisha dasHello Manisha,
The one of the possible reasons for this is due to lack of H/W.
Increase your RAM size to atleast 2GB and utilise the same while you are installing ECC in database parameters step..
If the issue is with H/W, then this should fix the issue.
Hope it helps,
Regards,
Satish. -
Launch error code: -2857 Exited with error code: 215
Anybody have any idea what:
"Launch error code: -2857 Exited with error code: 215"
means when launching an app? Tries to launch, then quit. That shows up in the Console.
Thanks.First I want to say thanks for the feedback. I appreciate the support and helpful suggestions.
Second, Epson sent me an answer of sorts...they provided detailed instructions on uninstalling the application and then told me to reinstall using the disk image from their web site (in other words, don't use their web package to "update" and existing installation). I did this and things seem to be running fine now. It's unfortunate that their update instructions don't say to do this in the first place (maybe I missed it ).
So at one level this issue is solved. Unfortunately I'm too curious and wanted to know why the error happend in the first place. As a software developer myself (mainframe and midrange server based) I hate the "delete and reinstall" answer as it does nothing to really identify and solve the real problem. But I do also appreciate the idea of "just get it fixed fast" so that's what I did.
Anyway, I will now spend some time learning about Launch Services to see if I can get a more specific understanding of what happened.
Thanks again for the help.

Installation failed with error code 1603
Hi all,
while installing the configuration manager clients on a system manually, we came across this ERROR:
installation failed with error code 1603
Do anyone has any idea how can this be resolved. Several posts suggest its a problem related to client push installation method, but since I am installing the configuration manager clients manually, so I mush not be affected by anything related to Client Push Installation. However, be noted that client push installation is well configured on the server, there are certain computers where the client is not getting installed so we are installing the clients MANUALLY to those systems,
Any help and suggestions would be higly appreciated.
Regards,
NaveedI have encountered the Error 1603/1602 while installing the HCKInstall\Client\Setup.exe on several machines. It appears to be generic at first, but it's not. The error code is being passed from the Service back to the MSI. It means that a service failed
to start. The key is that it happens at the very end of the installation and then does the rollback. The solution is to figure out which service failed and then remove it and the directories.
Here is what I did.
I created batch to kick off before I install the client now. It basically checks for installed HCK products and if there uninstalls them. Then checks for the state of each service and if running stops the service before attempting to remove the HCK/WLK leftovers.
Then it removes the sticky directory.

FYI:
*At OS level, when we do scp command using root user, it is fine for any TR.
In STMS, while adding TR in SEQ(QA system), we are getting error like this.

AshishHi Vikas,
Could you please check the SLOG file and see what you observe
/usr/sap/trans_P40/tmp/SLOG0926.E40.LOC is already in use (1), I'm waiting 2 sec (20090624180056).
Please check the following Note 12746 - WARN <file> is already in use (), I'm waiting 5 sec.
Mostly you have to perform the following step mentioned in Note
"If there is only one tp process that writes the SLOG messages, stop this process and copy the generated file in tmp to the existing file in log on UNIX, for example, using cat /usr/sap/put/tmp/P<date>.<SID> >> /usr/sap/put/log/P<date>.<SID>Afterwards, you can delete the file in tmp and repeat the phase."
Before trying above you can also stop all tp process and then start the transport job again.
Thank You,
Praveen -

FATAL: Critical shutdown with exit code [2150] was requested due to [AS Java cannot be started; core service [deploy] failed to start]
****What is the problem and how can I solve the problem.*****
Thanks.Hi,
Based on the Java trouble shooting guide 'error 2150' indicates that a core service failed to start. http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechTSG/(JSTTSG)(Kernel)ExitCodes. Based on the threads below it could be Oracle listener related.

Transport Control program tp edded with error code 0247
Hi Guys
I have co setup TMS in a three system landscape, with the PRD server being the transport domain controller. The three systems are running on the HP -UX OS. The import queue of the PRD server remains empty. All the checks on the TMS configurations shows OK.
When i try to add the transport request from Extras > Other Requets> ADD and enter the transport requet no. I receive this message:
Transport Control program tp edded with error code 0247
Errors: add buffer has problem with data- and/or cofile
Can someone assist? I have got some challenges on linux. Are there steps i need to follow or is there something i need to do?
Cheers,
DanielDaniel,
Mostly this issue comes when you have some permission problem.
Please check the permission of your /usr/sap/trans/bin and related directories.
It is ideally sidadm.sapsys. Please give 775 to respective directories.
If your Trans directory is mounted, please check if it is properly mounted or not.
If it is not working, please check the log in TMS alert Viewer (Go to STMS Monitor>TMS Alerts>TMS Alert Viewer)
and paste the detailed log here.
Regards,
Sujit.
