    ValueBinding customerListBind =

  • Exporting ADF Table Headers to an EXCEL sheet

    Hello,
We have an adf table (Jdev10.1.3g). We need to export the Headers of the table to an excel sheet. I have hold on the headers and can put it in an array/arrayList. Basically, I need help with how to browse to the file where user wants to store the table headers._ I think once we can browse to the file location, we can use the POI HSSF API as we have for the task below. Any code examples are welcome.
We are already SUCCESSFULLY uploading the contents of the excel sheet (using <af:inputFile> tag) and writing the contents to adf table. Lucas Jellema's article and code example was very helpful.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
this thread is duplicate of this.... Exporting ADF table Headers to Excel

  • Problem while exporting ADF table to excel

    Hello,
I have some columns of random size which are left padded with 0.
now the problem comes when I export the table containing these columns to excel, excel remove all those zeros from left.
eg: 000000003726819563(table column value) after exporting to excel shows as 3726819563.
Along with this I also want the footer part of table in excel.
For some of the columns I have summary filed(i.e. sum) at the footer of the table which I want to show in excel.
Can someone please guide me through these issues.
    Thanks in advance.

Take a look at this: http://adfreusablecode.blogspot.com/2012/07/export-to-excel-with-styles.html
With this code you can export the footer: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22312971/adf-samples/ExportToExcelDemo/ViewController/src/view/ExcelBean.java
Here is the entire demo project: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22312971/adf-samples/ExportToExcelDemo.zip
I a few days I will update the above post.
    Hope this help.

  • Export jsp table to pdf

    Hi All,
Does anyone has idea on how to export the records in a jsp table to pdf format?

this is a basic example of having different "views". In one view you output your data to a html table. But now you want a different view in which the data is outputted as PDF. I would suggest looking into the package "itext", which you can find here. The website also has plenty of examples if you take the effort to look for them:

  • Exporting simple tables in pdf to Excel or word and maintain correct text/column flow.

Even with a black and white, clear scan at high settings, my exports to Word/Excel result are poor.  Text is recognized but not in the correct sequence for editing.  I find myself using the column select (Alt key) feature and exporting columns one at a time!  When exporting to Excel, the contents of one cell in the pdf table ends up in 20 cells in Excel among many other misalignments.  When exporting to word, it's a mess of tabs/graphics/paragraph returns...etc.  I find myself selecting the text in 25 or so graphic text boxes!
Appears that many people have the same experience but I haven't seen a solution as advertised by Adobe.  It appears so easy on video.
Can anyone recommend a step-by-step proven method (Win 7, Acrobat X, Office 2007, InDesign CS5.5)?
    Txs!

I am not sure about what video, but my guess is that was a PDF produced from Excel or WORD with PDFMaker. In such a case, it would have tags and all that would retain all of the information you need. When you are working with a scanned document, you have no such tag info that provides layout info (like cell locations and such). There are some 3rd party products that are said to do a better job in such cases, but often cost as much as Acrobat and only do the conversion. If you can point out the video, then maybe we can discuss aspects of what you are doing compared to the video.

  • Export adf faces to Excel

    Hi All,
Does anybody how to export adf table records to excel without using DCIteratorBinding. i want to implement in Backing Bean is it possible?

    Hi,
the ADF and ADF Faces classes are not shipped with JDeveloper 11. They become available later for production through customer support.
If you need to export data to Excel then you could use Apache POI or have a look at the file that gets generated by the export tag (the server side file) and create the same in Java

  • Export Multiple tables into a single Excel Sheet

We have a use case where we need to export multiple tables into an excel sheet. The exportCollectionActionListener only allows one table (which is provided in the exportedId attribute) to be exported into Excel. So is there a method provided by adf to export more that one table into excel ?

    dvohra,
I need to export multiple tables into a single excel sheet. These links only show how to export a single table to an excel sheet.
I have tried out this : http://iadvise.blogspot.com/2007/04/export-adf-table-to-excel.html. But i am not getting the popup to save the file. So i can't find out where the file got created.

  • ADF export table to PDF file?

What is the easiest way to export a table to a PDF file. The catch is that tables will be generated randomly based on a user's query. Is there any way to generically export the produced resultset/table into a PDF format regardless of the content?
I have searched the web and have not found something to do this generically (irrespective of the table content).
Any ideas/suggestions/links to examples would be nice.
P.S. I am new to ADF so please explain anything complicated.

    Thanks for your reply.
The link you gave me requires me to access the backend datasource and what not.
My original question asked for any possible method to convert a table to a pdf without dealing with any backend methods/databases.

  • Creation of PDF Document  using ADF Table data in new window

    Hi Guys,
I have a requirement of creating a pdf document from adf table and it must open in a new window.I know creation of pdf document using itext pdf jar.But in my case how to write the table data to pdf and how to open it in new window.
    Thanks,
    Srinivas.

In the TF do like this..
view activity A-------dialog:invokePdf------->view activity B (invokePdf)
Fragment A command button would be
    <af:commandButton action="#{pageFlowScope.PdfBean.openPDF}"
    text="Generate" id="cbpdf"
    useWindow="true"
    windowWidth="700" windowHeight="700"/>
    in the action add a return like return "dialog:invokePdf";
Control flow outcome is "dialog:invokePdf". B would be just a empty fragment.

  • Table not exporting in XLS or PDF format

    Hi all
My Report layout contains a chart and a big table which loads properly in Interactive mode but does not export table into PDF or XLS format.Charts get exported properly.
the version :Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1.3.0
Can somebody help why it is not exporting.
    Cheers
    -Sandeep

I exported by giving local path. But it doesnt write to that folder but to somewhere. Reports 10g is not client/server, so you cannot write directly to a local directory on the client PC. One option: you can open the generated file in a browser and have the users save it on their own PC.
When integrating Forms and Reports, there are other options, like using webutil_file_transfer.
It's a good idea to start with understanding the differences between client/server (6i) and 10g (web) Reports.

  • ADF Faces Export - All to CSV dose not export the table correctly

    Hi ,
I followed the source code of this demo site( http://rcf.us.oracle.com:9008/faces-12.1.2.0.0/faces/components/table.jspx) to create two buttons to export a table to CSV file, one is to export all rows and one is to export the selected rows.
The problem is the export all will generate a html file which dose not have the table content and the selected one works nicely except when I selected all rows than click export selected, it also generates the same html file as export all. The exception at the log on weblogic server and my source code are as below. Thank you!

  • Problem with numeric columns when ADF table exported to Excel

    Hi,
We have a ADF table on a page which can be exported to excel spreadsheet using the <Af:ExportCollectionActionListener>. The adf table is within panel collection.
There are many numeric columns in this table and there is <af:convertnumber> used on these columns. No other properties are changed on the <af:convertnumber> tag, everything is default. And no formatting is applied on the view object attributes as well. When a user from US is exporting the table to excel everything works well no issues. But a Netherlands or French user exports the excel, the numeric values which have decimal point are shown as left aligned and the whole numbers in the same column are right aligned. As a result when the user is trying to sum the entire column only the right aligned numbers are getting added.
I am not sure what is the issue here ?
HAs someone seen this scenario before ?
Am I missing anything here - any property setting ?
The numbers are shown like this in the excel exported from table.
    4,077.78
    3,555,34.12
                        1,234
                        19,219
    3,4445,33.22
    Jdev - 11.1.2.3
    Thanks

Add a decimal to the whole number columns to make all columns left-aligned. Do all left-aligned columns get added?
    4,077.78
    3,555,34.12
    1,234.00
    19,219.00
    3,4445,33.22
