Export data in a particular order

Hi all,
I want to export data in a particular order of dimension by the DATAEXPORT command.
I use the below script :
SET DATAEXPORTOPTIONS
     DataExportLevel "LEVEL0";
DataExportDimHeader ON ;
DataExportColFormat ON;
DataExportOverwriteFile ON;
FIX ("FY11","Submitted","Budget",@RELATIVE("Entity",0),@CHILDREN ("Period"))
DATAEXPORT "File" "," "file.txt";
ENDFIX;
It always gives the file data in the below order
"Entity","Allocations","Projects","CostCentres","FinancialYear","Version","Scenario","Account","Period"
I want in the order of Scenario,Version,Year,Entity,CostCenter,Allocation,Project,Account,Period.
Is it possible?
Many thanks.

The only way to do it would be to change the order of the sparse dimensions in your outline. The export exports in outline order

  • How to load data in a particular order ?

    Hi
    I am trying to load data from an oracle view to a oracle table. Its working fine.
    However the problem is, the load is not in a particular order. I mean the order
    in which the data is loaded in target table is not fixed. It means sometimes
    a particular data value (say row1 ) comes before another data value(say row2)
    and again executing the interface second time may not follow the same order.
    I have a requirement to load it in a specific order.
    Please reply.
    Regards
    Manoj

    Hi Surya
    Thanks for the quick reply and its working as well.
    But I am still unable to solve the problem I made the above changes for.
    Actually, I am loading members for a particular dimension from an oracle
    view(say view1) to an oracle table(say table1). I have created a view(say view2)
    from this table1.The reason to create the view2 is to use the logic
    ORDER BY ,CONNECT BY PRIOR to sort the stored/shared members.
    Now I am using this view2 to load members for a dimension in planning.
    On first execution, it executes without any error. But on executing it again, it throws
    many errors, most of which say Cannot load dimension member, error message is:
    com.hyperion.planning.HspRuntimeException: Move would result in base member being
    a sibling of a corresponding shared member
    This error occured previously as well.I mean before using an ORDER BY in my first interface,
    ie loading from view1 to table1.
    Kindly help me to resolve the problem.
    Regards
    Manoj.

  • Exporting data from table to Excel in a particular format using BSP.

    Hello all,
          I am creating a application in BSP  wherein i have to export data to excel sheet.
      I am able to do that but the output in excel sheet is not formatted. it is displaying the data in a single
    column. For example, the internal table which i am exporting to excel contains fields "product
    name", "area name", country name", "values". all these should be displayed in different columns.How
    can i achieve this functionality.A sample code will be of great help..
    Below is the code i hav written for exporting to excel :
         data: l_len type i,
               l_string type string,
               app_type type string,
               file_content type xstring,
               file_mime_type type string.
         create OBJECT cached_response TYPE cl_http_response EXPORTING add_c_msg = 1.
         cached_response->set_data( file_content ).
         cached_response->set_header_field(
                          name = if_http_header_fields=>content_type
                          value = file_mime_type ).
    LOOP AT itab_xls INTO wa_xls.
       CONCATENATE L_STRING wa_xls-product_name
       wa_xls-area_name
       wa_xls-landx
       CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>CR_LF INTO L_STRING SEPARATED BY SPACE.
    ENDLOOP.

    *Set the Response Status
       cached_response->set_status( code = 200 reason = 'OK' ).
    *Set the Cache Timeout - 60 seconds - we only need this in the cache
    *long enough to build the page and allow the IFrame on the Client to request it.
       cached_response->server_cache_expire_rel( expires_rel = 60 ).
        CALL FUNCTION 'GUID_CREATE'
        IMPORTING
          ev_guid_32 = guid.
        CONCATENATE runtime->application_url '/' guid '.xls' INTO url.
        cl_http_server=>server_cache_upload( url      = url
                                           response = cached_response ).
    Can anyone help me with some solution.
    Thanks in advance.
    Gurmahima.

    the issue is here
    LOOP AT itab_xls INTO wa_xls.
    CONCATENATE L_STRING wa_xls-product_name
    wa_xls-area_name
    wa_xls-landx
    CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>CR_LF INTO L_STRING SEPARATED BY SPACE.
    ENDLOOP.
    instead do the following
    LOOP AT itab_xls INTO wa_xls.
    CONCATENATE L_STRING wa_xls-product_name ','
    wa_xls-area_name  ','
    wa_xls-landx  ','
    CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>CR_LF INTO L_STRING .
    ENDLOOP.
    and then change the file name extension from xls to csv. it should open properly in excel.
    Note that this is only excel csv file. if you want a proper excel excel file, then
    option one: build a html table with your data into a string and pass it to excel
    option 2: build excel xml using your data into a string and pass it to excel.

    I'm trying to write java program to import/export data from ms sql 7 to xml file in a particular xpdl format. Can anyone suggest how to do it?

  • Export data from database table before database migration

    Hello,
    We are planning to migrate our SAP ERP 6 Ehp4/NW7.01 from Oracle 11.2 to IBM DB2 v. 9.7 database. During test migrations I have established that we spend a lot of time for one particular table (COEP). Because we donu2019t have possibility to archive this table before migration I have an idea to export data from previous years from this table to the file system (using an ABAP report), delete those data from table before migration and then after migration, import back to the database from the file system.
    Does anybody have any concerns or suggestions about this idea?
    Thank you for your answers
    Andrej

    Hello Andrej,
    I strongly do not recommend to do so.
    I am not sure whether technically this could work at all..
    Even it if would work .. In order to really save time, the export and the import would have to be a dirty one (meaning the system is operational and in production). With this there is a high risk to produce inconsistencies on this table.  And you most likely will receive no support if something unforeseen happens and you end with problems.
    Also  your approach (if it should work at all) , would have to be tested thoroughly by you , also protecting the table from any changes.
    I do not believe that this can save any effort compared to implementing advanced migration techniques like table splitting.
    On top, you would go high risk to end with an unsupported system, with not using official migration procedures

  • How to Display the Headers in Particular order in Excel File

    [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/user-interface-technology/wd%20java/wdjava%20archive/exporting%20context%20data%20into%20excel%20using%20the%20web%20dynpro%20binary%20cache.pdf]
    Hi Friend,
    By using this Link I have done download data in Excel File. Now it is working data is downloaded in to Excel File.
    But here I am getting Some Problem.
    In when download the data that Header Text will display in different order. I need what alien in table Header. That Header format will display in Excel also
    For Exampls
    In Table: PO Number, Po Line Item ,Vendaor Material, Materila Like this
    When Download data in Excel First will Shows in Excel Vendor  Materila, Confirm Ship Date, Po Number Like This I need to Display First PO Number
    By Using This I will write this Code.
    private void trimHeaderTexts(Map columnInfos) {
          String attributeName, trimmedHeaderText;
          for (Iterator iter = columnInfos.keySet().iterator(); iter.hasNext();) {
          attributeName = (String) iter.next();
          trimmedHeaderText = trimHeaderText((String) columnInfos.get(attributeName));
          columnInfos.put(attributeName, trimmedHeaderText);
    Here I iterator Shows returns elements in no Particular order.
    I need to display Particular order.

    Hi Vijay,
    private void trimHeaderTexts(Map columnInfos)
    is for removing the empty spaces between the words in a single header(s).
    Now tell me the below Qs:
    1. What you've implemented in the below method:
    private Map getProductColumnInfos()
    2. How many Attributes you've defined in your Node (ex: ProductsNode)
    Your excel will display in the order that you've coded in the getProductColumnInfos() method, so first thing is to re-order to the order you want to display in the excel sheet. And you will see the output excel as you want.
    Hope it solves your query,
    Thanks, MS.

  • Exporting Data to external database

    Hi All,
    As background our SAP systems use Oracle on Solaris.
    I have written programs that export data to an external oracle database also running on solaris by embedding native SQL in the ABAP program.
    There is now a requirement to export data to a MS SQL Server database running on Windows.
    We are on BW v3.5. I know this was not possible previously can anyone confirm whether the method above will still not work for a SAP system running on Solaris exporting to MS SQL Server on Windows? i.e. Native SQL in ABAP program.
    Many Thanks
    David

    I don't know very well it, but it's a tool to link SAP to external database.
    No u can create a link in the table DBCON and then insert native SQL code in ABAP prog. using EXEC SQL statament.
    I used it only once, I hope it can be usefull for u.
    Try to see this note: 178949<a href="https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1pdCZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=0000178949&nlang=E">https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1pdCZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=0000178949&nlang=E</a>
    Anyway this the text:
    Symptom
    DATABASE MULTICONNECT WITH EXEC SQL
    This note describes the possibility of accessing data with EXEC SQL which is not on the R/3 database server but on another MSSQL system.
    Other terms
    CONNECT DBCON OLEDB dblib
    Reason and Prerequisites
    It's desired to make a connection to a SQL Server database running on a server different from the R/3 server.
    Prerequisite: At least one Windows application server must be available on the R/3 system and the DBSL dynamic library (DLL) dbmssslib.dll must be installed on this server. This dll can be downloaded from the SAP Service Marketplace.
    Solution
    Basics of the EXEC SQL MultiConnect
                OPEN SQL database accesses always refer to the R/3 database for the particular R/3 system's <SID> (three letter uppercase database name). EXEC SQL accesses normally also refer to the R/3 database. To access data which is on the R/3 database server in a database other than the <SID> database, it is sufficient to enter the table name qualified by the database name in EXEC SQL.
    Example:
    EXEC SQL.
      SELECT MYFIELD FROM MYDB..MYTABLE
    ENDEXEC.
    Furthermore, you have the option in R/3 to access data with EXEC SQL which are on other SQL Server systems.
    Creating a DBCON entry for a remote connection
                Every link which should be addressed via the Multiconnect must be described by a record in table DBCON. This entry can be created by means of the transaction sm30. For SQL Server create an entry as follows:
    CON_NAME: <my_conn_name>
    DBMS: MSS
    USER_NAME: <db_user>
    PASSWORD:  <password>
    CON_ENV: MSSQL_SERVER=<server_name> MSSQL_DBNAME=<db_name>
                db_user could be sapr3 for example if the server is running R/3.  The password field may be blocked from view by asterisks in sm30. USER_NAME can be left blank in order to use integrated security (4.6d kernel and later).  In that case make sure that the OS User running R/3 has the required privilege on the remote server.  A dummy password must be entered in sm30, it will not be used when the user name is blank.
    Specifying the server name
                The server name is simply the name of the SQL Server or named instance i.e. the hostname (for a default instance), or <host>\<instname>
    Starting with release 6.40 however there are some special considerations that should be taken into account.  When running with kernel release 6.40 or later, the R/3 system will prepend a protocol specifier to the server name.  Example:
       1. For a server running on the same server:
                 np:<servername>
       2. For a remote server:
                tcp:<servername>
    This forces the connection to be made with a named pipes and tcp/ipprotocols respectively.
    When specifying the server name you can override this by setting your own protocol (tcp: or np:), or you can make R/3 avoid setting any prefix by using simply :<servername> - a colon in front of the server name.
    How to use the Multiconnect
               Here is an example for how to connect to another server with CON_NAME=BSK.  The example assumes BSK is running R/3:
               EXEC SQL.
      CONNECT TO 'BSK'
    ENDEXEC.
    EXEC SQL.
      SET CONNECTION 'BSK'
    ENDEXEC.
    EXEC SQL.
      SELECT db_name() INTO :DBN FROM SVERS
    ENDEXEC.
    WRITE: / 'current database name', DBN.
    EXEC SQL.
      SET CONNECTION DEFAULT
    ENDEXEC.
    EXEC SQL.
      SELECT db_name() INTO :DBN FROM SVERS
    ENDEXEC.
    WRITE: / 'current database name', DBN.
    Tools for creating DBCON entries
               In SAP basis release 6. 40 new tools were introduced to make it easier to create DBCON entries for use in remote monitoring.  These tools are accessible through st04_mss -> "Change connection data" button -> Go To -> "Maintain DBCON" for example.
    The "Change connection data" button is the small pencil icon on the right hand side of the main st04_mss screen.
               There is an on-line guide for creating DBCON entries this way.   It is available on:
               http://help.sap.com
       Documentation -> SAP NetWeaver -> SAP NetWeaver '04
                And then expand the tree on the left hand side using SAP NetWeaver -> Application Platform -> Databases -> SAP/MS SQL Server 2000 DBA in CCMS.
               Finally go to Database Management Tools -> Monitoring Remote SQL Server Databases -> Setting Up the Remote Connection -> Creating a DBCON Entry.

  • Data reconciliation for Open Orders in SD

    Hi,
              Can any one give me a step by step approach for doing the data reconciliation for open orders in the Sales Infocube.
    Regds
    tanu

    Hi Tanu,
    Reconcilation:
    Reconcilation is the process of comparing the data after it is transferred to the BW system with the source system. The procedure to do reconcilation is either you can check the data from the SE16 if the data is coming from a particular table only or if the datasource is any std datasource then the data is coming from the many tables in that scenario what I used to do ask the R/3 consultant to report on that particular selections and used to get the data in the excel sheet and then used to reconcile with the data in BW . If you are familiar with the reports of R/3 then you are good to go meaning you need not be dependant on the R/3 consultant ( its better to know which reports to run to check the data ).
    I will give you a scenario to help you understand it better. Lets say BW extracts FI data from R/3. To make sure that all the records has been extracted from R/3 we can create a report in R/3 which will show the year-to-date balance of all the documents posted and we can create a BEx query on the BW cube which will also display the trial balnce. Any difference between the two balance will identify the records missing from R/3.
    Similary you can model other scenarios as per your requirement. If you are extracting from 2 or more different sources from R/3 then create a multicube on top of the individual cube and produce the report. You need to also create a similar report in R/3 as well.
    check this How to Doc:

  • Help with exporting data from pdf form

    I have about 100 pdf forms that I created in adobe forms central and distributed as a pdf form (rather than on the web). I am trying to export the data into a spreadsheet but when I export it, the fields are all jumbled in the csv file, as in they are not in the same order. I need to export the data all together so I'm going to the forms menu and selecting "manage form data" and then selecting "merge data files into spreadsheet". I tried exporting a single file but that gave me something really weird.
    Please help, I have a deadline next week to analyze this data and can't make sense of it once it is exported to a spreadsheet.

    Would you please share your form with me and send me one of your pdf forms and some of the csv files?
    You can share your form by doing the following:
    1. Click on the “Share” icon on the bottom left corner.
    2. Click on “Add Collaborator” on the popup menu.
    3. Enter [email protected] under “People to share with”.
    4. Set subject to "Export data from pdf form"
    5. Click the “Share” button on the bottom right of the dialog.
    Thanks

  • How to export data from webdynpro to Excel and start a Excel macro

    Hello All
    I want to export data displayed in the Web dynpro ALV into Excel. I have tried the ALV export function but my problem with it is when it does export to excel the data loses formatting and I have long text in columns which display with wrapping in ALV but when exported to excel it loses formatting.
    So I want to define a custom button and when user presses on this button the excel export is called with a macro. Can you kindly share ideas how I can do this from a webdynpro.
    Thanks
    Karen

    Hi friends!
    I have followed the following:
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs;jsessionid=(J2EE3417300)ID1487994050DB10407586481486749551End?blog=/pub/wlg/5522
    ...in order to create standard ALV with Export to Excel.
    However what is exported into excel is awful. It does not contain my data in nice columns... Instead it shows a lot of meta-data.
    Please let me know what to do to kick the standard Export button in the correct direction.. that is...to have my nice table in same way in Excel, because that is my intention with "Export to excel"

  • Issues in exporting data from SAP tables in SE16 to excel

    1.How can I save an sap table (displayed through SE16) in ECC6 into a pivot table in excel. [ I have seen this option in R/3 4.7, but do not see it in ECC.]
    2.How can I copy all the rows of a 3000 row SAP table in SE16 and paste the values into excel. I need to do this in one shot and not page by page.
    3.What option do I need to select inorder to preserve the formating of the values while saving as a local file in a spreadsheet format. All the values with leading zeros,like company codes gets saved with only their numeric portion when I save a SAP table as a local file. for eg company code 0001 gets saved in excel as just 1,company code 0056 gets saved as 56 etc. How do I prevent this? What option do I need to set in SAP in order for the values to be downloaded as is, without any truncation of leading zeros.

    1.  I don't know.  How about creating a pivot after exporting data
    2. System->List->Save->local file->clipboard
    Then paste whole lot in Excel
    3. This is a problem with Excel, not SAP.  SAP exports with leading zeroes.
    You could export as flat file & import into Excel into a spreadsheet with an appropriate numbering format.

    Hi Peddi,
    I gave TRUNC to both of the dates. But still the same issue. I think the problem is in returning the BolbDomain.

  • Export Data

    Hi,
    While saving the Billing document of Export order i am getting error
    "Export data missing"
    because of this accounting documents are not generating
    I want to know that what export data we need to maintain?
    Regards,
    Rahul

    Hi,
    Missing Export Data
    In 4.6c, if the user is unable to release an invoice to accounting but get the error message "Missing export data".  A new module Foreign Trade/Customs have been included with a default checking for Incomple Data.
    You can disable the default checking with the followings steps :-
    1) Setup Incompletion Schemas for both the Header and Item. (transaction VI29). It is here that you define what fields should be populated as part of the Foreign Trade check in billing. The default has three fields. You only need to created new ones with only one field, and set that field's incompletion control check to inactive. Setting up the Export/Dispatch setting will do the trick.
    VI29
    New entries
    Descriptions                                   No checking for header      No checking for item
    Incompletion procedures name e.g.        Z1                                          Z2
    Header/Item Level                                 A                                            B

    Fld ctrol/Inc.                                           1                                             1
    2) For each country from which you ship goods, assign the incompletion schemas to that country under the Export/Dispatch
    setting.  VI49 - Foreign Trade Data in MM and SD Documents.

  • Problem with delta update on customised export data source.

    Hi all BW gurus,
    I have created several customised export data sources in the R/3 system. And I have made use of the utility program <Z_CHANGE_DELTA_PROCESS> to update the ROOSOURCE table.
    While this can result in being able to do initial update (instead of full update), the subsuquent delta update is not working.
    In RSA7, the datasource is with green light and in RSA3, the extractor can extractor data out of it.
    Does anybody have some idea on this?
    I heard that there is a way to change the Business Transaction Event (BTE), but I don't quite understand how this is performed. And wonder if this is the only way out. To me, the triggering point would be the same, meaning the InfoPackage would be executed, then call the extractors in R/3 to extract the delta update in order to load into the InfoCube.
    And how do others do for executing delta update of the customised data source?
    Thanks a lot!!
    The utility program of <Z_CHANGE_DELTA_PROCESS>:
    =================================================
    report z_change_delta_process .
    *P_DATAS DataSource
    *P_DELTAP Delta Process for DataSource
    parameters:
      p_datas type roosource-oltpsource,
      p_deltap type roosource-delta.
    tables:
      roosource.
    data:
      ls_roosource type roosource.
      if p_datas(2) ne 'Z_'.
       message 'The DataSource needs to begin with ''Z_''.'  type 'E'.
      endif.
    select single * from roosource into ls_roosource
           where oltpsource = p_datas
           and objvers = 'A'.
    if sy-subrc eq 0.
       ls_roosource-delta = p_deltap.
       update roosource from ls_roosource.
    message 'The DataSource has been updated successfully.' type 'I'.
    else.
       message 'The DataSource entered is not valid, try again.' type 'E'.
    endif.

    Doesn't anyone have any idea on this topic?
    Appreciate for all the help. Thanks.

  • Issue with using formatted date value column in order by clause...

    Hi,
    1) Through a function I am listing all the months in a year.
    like JAN-2007, FEB-2007,MAR-2007......
    2) i am comparing these values against a date value column in a table.
    And if there are no values in a particular period it will return a null value (simply to say, i am using an outer join)
    3) The issue.....
    When join both the queries then the order of the dates is not mainted .....
    My requirement is......
    Jan-2007 = 3
    Feb-2007 = 5
    Mar-2007 = null
    etc.....
    should be acheived.
    But I end up in the alphabetical order of the months....
    like
    Apr-2007 = 5
    Aug-2007 = 10
    etc.....
    Can anybody let me know how can i acheive my resultant output to be ordered by the date and not by character.
    When I use the date column in the order by I run into an error....
    saying....
    ORA-01858: a non-numeric character was found where a numeric was expected
    Its a kind of urgent...
    Any help is appreciated....

    When I use a outer join as follows....
    "and upper(to_char(a.task_planned_start_date,'mon-rrrr')) = d.period_name(+)"
    All the null periods are ending at the bottom.It's standard behavoiur.
    Seems, you need to sort by a.task_planned_start_date.
    Look below:
    SQL> select e.ename, ec.ename from emp e, emp_copy ec
