EXport Data to Excel with Columns format
Dear All,
This may be a basic question, however, I just need a tip to conclude my issue.
I have a Report that displays Financial Budget data (AFE). I am able to download to the Excel sheet. However, I need to conclude it with the column formatted at code itself and not given to the user.
That is I want to set couple of column to Numeric, and Set Colum width defined at Code level itself.
I am already using the Function module : MS_EXCEL_OLE_STANDARD_DAT

I am left with one last bit (unless the client request more feature). I need to export the database to an excel spreadsheet.
I have about 5 tables so I need to create 5 worksheet in the excel file.
Now I have tried OWA_SYLK from Tom (http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/asktom/f?p=100:11:0::::P11_QUESTION_ID:728625409049#PAGETOP)
it works in my environment, but I just don't know how to create multiple worksheet in one excel file.
I read on the internet that XML spreadsheet is the answer but how to do that, I don't know.
Can anyone enlighten me?

Exporting data to excel with time stamp
We have written an express VI code recording voltage. The code works, and the data is recorded, but the data is transferred to an excel file without the time stamp. In the excel file we have the data down column A, but there is no time at which any of the data was recorded. Is there a way we can get the time recorded in excel also? Thanks for the help.
I maybe wrong but I believe that the timestamp data associated with the data that is logged will be in the TDMS file as properties of those channels. Are you sure the time data isn't logged as a property?

Export data to excel with EPPlus and Web Api - HELP!
I am trying to do a simple excel file export with EPPlus and Web Api. In the html client I have a button that calls the web api and opens a new window. No error is thrown, but the result is always "file could not be downloaded". I get the
save file dialog but the file name is Order/ instead of the expected Orders.xls or Orders.xlsx. Can anyone help? I'm surprised this is so difficult.

The problem is that the LightSwitch query (commented out in the code above) is trying to load navigation properties for the orders. Error: "It is not valid to access this object on the current thread." How do I solve this? -

You are demanding others write a script for you and you are not making any effort to understand how to use a script. The answer was given explicitly long ago. You just don't understand. Now you have a much more complicated and error prone
script that does less that your original script. Please try to think about what is happening and why.

Export data to excel and table column headers
I noticed that with LV 2012 when I call the method "Export Data to Excel" for a table, the table headers (= column names) are not exported to excel.
Am I right? I think that the column names should be exported too...
As a matter of fact when you call the method "Export to simplified image" the column names are included

Using a table, the method "Export data to excel" should export the "currently selected data", and data can be programmatically selected using ActiveCell property (as described here).
With ActiveCell I can select the column headers too (using negative numbers for row and/or column), and I do this.
And so I expect that when I select "Export data to Excel", the column headers should be exported too (because I selected them!).
I think that the actual behavior is a bug, rather that an expected behavior.

I develped a webi report, but when I exported it into excel file, its format is defferent from WEBI report, such as text for legend with multple lines in webi presented in one line in excel, there are a few descrepency. please tell me how can I export webi to excel with the exact same format?

There are options for the "save as excel" step . either a) for formatting , or b) for data
these should help.
The reason why there are 'undesirable' rows (also, merged rows / columns) is because your report document has table outlines which have been positioned 'by eye'.
When the rendering algorythm outputs it content, it's looking at pixel-level , so the relative position of borders can get messed-up. It's mainly due to slightly sloppy formatting.

i have a problem with the function module "ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE". I will call this function module with vba to load data from excel to sap with a Buttonclick. I have copied this function module and set it remotable. But i can´t call it from excel.
Can you give me some tips how can i
upload data from excel with vba by click a button.
The problem seems the function: call method cl_gui_frontend_services=>clipboard_import in the function module, because when i comment this function call the vba-call is true but no results.
How can I call the function module correct with vba?

Internal Table to Excel with Column Header line
Hello everyone,
I need to download Internal table data to excel with a column header line.
My Code is as follows:
TYPES: BEGIN OF y_hdr,
head(30) TYPE c,

Data: t_hdr TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF y_hdr.
Fill internal table t_adrcdata
fill the header table t_hdr

This code gives me a row with column headers.
However they are all truncated after 10 chars.
The truncation is independent of column data length. Data could be of length 2,5 or 40 but the header always displays upto 10 chars.
Keeping the filename as test.xls, when I download it in ASC format instead of DBF the headers are of proper length.
What could I be doing wrong?
I know this topic has been discussed before but my question is pertaining to DBF Format download. The reason I chose DBF format is because it downloads the data in DB format and does not give in to Excel formatting.
FOr example in ASC format:
1, A field of type Char(12) used to get downloaded into excel without the leading zeros. 000012345678 --> 12345678
2. Date in format dd-MMM-yyyy in a char(11) field used to get downloaded to excel in dd-MMM-yy format.
When I chose DBF, this issue was resolved. However, the column headers got truncated at 10 chars.
Please feel free to recommend any other way of downloading to Excel and preserving format if this method is incorrect/ there is a better way.Hi,
Take 'ASC' format for file type.
But when you declare your internal table to pass for FM you have to create all the fields with char.
Example:
data: begin of it_exl occurs 0,
bukrs(04) type c,
belnr(10) type c,
buzei(03) type c,
end of ut_exl.
You need to manipulate your date format and other stuff before appending to this internal table.

How can I export data to excel such as 9900007600000018463000, 9900007600000018473000, etc. without transforming them into scientific numbers like 9,90000760000001E+21 ?
Thank you for your helpSorry that my suggestion did not work. I have experimented with excel and could not get it to retain the precision on very large numbers for any numeric formatted fields. The idea I have for you is to create a table with your big number column defined as varchar2. Copy the data from the original table into the new table "insert into bignumber_varchar_table varchar_column select bignumber_table from bignumber;". Then do the export from the new table. This will keep the data as text and then excel retains the precision. Because it is text it will be displayed left justified. Right click and choose format cell, click on alignment, and set horizontal to right if you want it to look like a number in the spread sheet. Unfortunately, if you try to do calculations with it, the calculation appears to loose the precision.

I would like to export my data result from Visual Composer to Excel. I've tried with an export data buton, but the exported file has a very bad format in Excel. I've tried an hyperlink buton which contain the Reptname data of the query too, but I can't keep my filters. This second solution can be nice for the format. If anyone knows how I can keep my filters, I would be fine.

How to export Data to excel in wp8
Hi,
I have a requirement like export data to excel. I have googled and find OpenXML.Silverlight.Spreadsheet.WP8.dll . Its working good. I want to know is there any Other way to create an excel file and export data to Excel sheet in WP8..?
I googled and find EPPlus.dll but it is throwing an exception. The exception is "A reference to a higher version or incompatible assembly cannot be added to a project."
Is there any another way to export data to excel sheet.? Please support me with answers.

This FM when executed without passing any data is able to open an empty excel sheet but when I try to pass an internal table to DATA_TABLE its giving a dump. The run time error is CALL_FUNCTION_CONFLICT_TYPE.
Error:
**"The function module interface allows you to specify only fields
of a particular type under "TABNAME". The field "ITAB1" specified here
has a different field type."**
Please let me know if Im missing something.
