Export graphic with the application

I notice on some sample application I have installed, it say do you want to install support objects or something to that affect.
How can I attach the graphic to the application export so that when I install it somewhere else I don't have to do it seporatly.

Doug,
If the images are in the Shared Components > Images and specified for that application, then you can create a export file by going to Home > Application Builder > Application XXX > Export/Import > Export > Images (tab). You can then add that file to your Supporting Objects Installation Scripts. Then when you export the application, that install script will be included.

  • Image not showing because not associated with the application

    I have an issue with the images in an application that I have imported to a test environment not displaying.
    The pages refer to the images using #APP_IMAGES# and the images are showing in Shared Components->Images as "No Application Associated", which seems to be the issue, since when I change the setting manually on each image then the images appear.
    However there are lots of images and when I reimport the images from the dev environment (via application express import) specifying the application to install into it sets them back to "No Application Associated" again. Note - the applciation id is different on the test env than on development.
    This is not the case with another environment we have, also another funny in this test environment, whenever I try to reimport the image export file (without individually deleting each image first) I get the following oracle error irrespective of whether I try to specify the application to import into or whether I pick "workspace images" from the drop-down.
    ORA-20001: GET_BLOCK Error. ORA-20001: Execution of the statement was unsuccessful. Do I have a duff environment here ? Is it because I'm importing into a different application id ? Is it a known issue with Application Express (v2.0.0.00.49) ?

    I've gone back to the environment where the image import does work, this happens to have the same id as the original application. So its looking to me like if you import an image export file into an application id other that that which it was originally exported, it ignores the application you chose and pulls the images in as workspace images.
    Furthermore it also looks like once an image import has been done into an application with one id (the original application id), then an import of the same image export file into a different application id gives a unique constraint error.
    Are these bugs and have they been fixed ?

    Everytime I open Safari on my MacBook Pro a pop-up window from my Finder menu, with the Applications highlighted on the left in the favorites column with the Resources folder highlighted comes up and locks my Safari page until I manually close the Resources window then I have to refresh the internet search address line at the top of Safari. Can someone tell me how to stop this. It started after a software upgrade. It didn’t do that before. Thank you.

    A few thoughts for diagnosis/testing purposes:
    Have you recently run the disk utility and repaired HD and permissions? If not do so.
    Boot into the Safe mode - hold down shift key on boot - and see if the problems are still there. Some functions won't work but see if anything odd happens.
    Check your startup items. Get rid of them temporarily.
    Create a new user account and see if the problems occur with the new account.
    Lastly, be sure your backup is up-to-date.

    DVD's are only 640 x 480 (interlaced), so yes, the quality is not nearly as good.  You should probably create your .mov in DV format to best match the DVD format

  • Full windowsize with the application builder

    Hi,
    I creat an executable file with the application builder. The problem is, the window is not as large as when I starte the program in Labview. Now the Frontpanel is cut on the bottom. What is the problem ?
    thanks for help
    stevi

    Hello Stevi,
    You should probably check your VI Properties for window size. First, make sure your front panel is sized exactly how you want it to appear. Then go to File >> VI Properties, and select Window Size from the drop-down box. Click on the "Set to Current Window Size" button. Also select "Maintain Proportions of Window for different monitor resolutions". These two selections should ensure that the VI and/or EXE will run with the desired window settings.
    Hope this helps!

    I have an application on 4 computers. On 3, PDF files open as they should, withing the application. On the fourth the file is placed in "downloads" and then opens in a separate tab on the desktop(not inside the application).  Any ideas on settings that might be causing this? It happens whether the application starts in IE11, Google Chrome or Firefox.
    This happens whether the "client" signs in over the internet or directly to the local host server.

  • How can I use a shared library made with the application builder?

    Hi,
    I am using LabVIEW 7.1 running on Slackware 10.1 (kernel 2.4.29) and I am trying to call a graph display from a C program that I use for debugging VME access from a VMIVME controler. So using the application builder I built the VI as a shared library (graph.vi -> graph.so) containing a function called "graph". In my main program the call to the dlopen fails with the error: "graph.so: undefined symbol: UninitLVClient". When I examin graph.so with nm I see that UninitLVClient and other LabVIEW functions are indeed undefined and using ldd shows that graph.so has dependencies only on libc.so.* and *linux*.so.* but not on LabVIEW related stuff. Those functions are defined in the liblv.so that's in the cintools directory but I have no idea if the user is supposed to use that.
    So I think I am missing an important concept here. Can somebody help or direct me to some documentation (I found lots of information about how to link external code to LabVIEW but nothing about how to link LabVIEW code to an external program)?

    Thanks Watermann,
    your message has been very useful so now I am linking to the proper library but I still have problems when trying to load dynamically the shared library produced with LabVIEW. It is strange that I could successfully load the lvrt library at loading time but it does not work when I am loading the library at execution time.
    I made a small LabVIEW program that prints a hello window and I am calling it from a C program. In the first program main.c I am linking to the lvrt library at loading time and it works but in the second one I am linking dynamically at execution time and it does not work. For my work I need to be able to load code done in LabVIEW at execution time. Any help is appreciated!
    Program main.c:
    // small program to call a LabVIEW shared library
    #include
    #include
    #include "hello.h" // got this from the LabVIEW builder, i.e. when I made the hello.so
    int main(void)
    printf("Hello from C!\nLets call LabVIEW now\n");
    hello();
    printf("Bye ... \n");
    return 0;
    The command to compile main.c, i.e. linking shared library lvrt when loading main program:
    gcc -Wall -I /usr/local/lv71/cintools/ -o main main.c hello.so -l lvrt
    The LD_LIBRARY_PATH has been defined and exported:
    $ LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$PWD
    $ export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    IT WORKS!
    Program main2.c:
    // small program to call a LabVIEW shared library
    #include
    #include
    #include
    int main(void)
    void * h_lvrt;
    void * h_hello;
    void (* hello)(void);
    char * error;
    printf("Hello from C!\nLets call LabVIEW now\n");
    // open LabVIEW RunTime shared library
    // in my computer located at /usr/local/lib/liblvrt.so
    h_lvrt = dlopen("/usr/local/lib/liblvrt.so", RTLD_NOW);
    // check for error
    error = dlerror();
    if (error) {
    printf("error : could not open LabVIEW RunTime library\n");
    printf("%s\n", error);
    return 1;
    // open hello shared library
    // in my computer located at /home/darss/lv_call/hello.so
    h_hello = dlopen("hello.so", RTLD_NOW);
    // check for error
    error = dlerror();
    if (error) {
    // close LabVIEW RunTime shared library
    dlclose(h_lvrt);
    printf("error : could not open hello library\n");
    printf("%s\n", error);
    return 1;
    // get function hello from library hello.so
    hello = dlsym(h_hello, "hello");
    // check for error
    error = dlerror();
    if (error) {
    // close hello shared library
    dlclose(h_hello);
    // close LabVIEW RunTime shared library
    dlclose(h_lvrt);
    printf("error : could not get the hello function\n");
    printf("%s\n", error);
    return 1;
    // call hello function
    hello();
    // close hello shared library
    dlclose(h_hello);
    // close LabVIEW RunTime shared library
    dlclose(h_lvrt);
    printf("Bye ... \n");
    return 0;
    The command to compile main2.c, i.e. dynamically linking library lvrt at execution of main2 program:
    gcc -Wall -o main2 main2.c -l dl
    The LD_LIBRARY_PATH still defined and exported.
    IT DOES NOT WORK!
    Program output:
    Hello from C!
    Lets call LabVIEW now
    error : could not open hello library
    /home/darss/lv_call/hello.so: undefined symbol: WaitLVDLLReady

  • Not able to import/export or package the application

    Not able to package and deploy/import the application.
    Currently we have organized our application under a folder  i.e., we kept all our schema, delivery templates, web forms etc. under these folders. We are facing the below challenges.
    We are able to package our total application but not able to import it Sandbox in a same folder structure used in Training Server.
    If a schema is linked with other schemas, we are not able to export the data.
    Even if its showing import is completed 100% but showing error at least one element is required by the package but missing from the instance.  As a result the import is failing.

    Thanks for your reply Linda.
    We have created our application under a certain folder structure. At root we have the application folder. Then we are keeping say all delivery templates under Delivery Templates, all web forms under Web application folder etc. That is how we have organized the application.
    Application folder
                    Delivery Templates
                    Web application
                    Workflows
                    Offers
    We have created a package definition and added our component there. With that package, we are exporting our application. Export is successful.
    But when we are importing the package, all components are getting scattered and not coming in the same folder structure we used when creating the application.
