Export mp3 to Windows -- not playing

I'm in the radio industry and I use iTunes to store, file and categorize hundreds of commercials that my stations produce. I often import what my jocks send me into iTunes to listen to the mp3 files and then send them on to my clients for their review/approval. I've never had any problems what-so-ever until recently. Suddenly I've had to clients -using Windows (not sure which level, player, etc) that are not able to play my commercials. Both of which have had no problems at all in the past. I am running OSX 10.6.4 and iTunes 9.2 (61) - did something change recently with the iTunes upgrades that might be causing this? Is there something I need to set on my end to ensure Windows machines can play what I send them? I'm dealing with clients so I'm not able/willing to go through the process of troubleshooting/diagnosing their computers. I believe the only thing that has changed might be on my end - it seems there have been a million updates to iTunes in the past couple of months. I have to assume the problem is on my end. Any help? DUH! Figured out where the settings got changed mysteriously. It was on ACC encoder for importing. I changed to mp3 and my client could play the spot.

it seems the same problem exists in the mac os environment.

The solution I discovered to fix this problem was to create a smart playlist with all song of a kind containing MPEG. Then I went through album by album, and coverted ID3 tags using the value of NONE. This then enabled me to play the songs in iTunes 8.0 and in many cases restored the Album Art.

MP3 Player will not play through Mic Jack. Is this because I have not setup Realtek Audio Manager correctly?.

What notebook do you have?
The mic jack records the audio signal. But I assume you want to use the mic jack an line-in. Right?
Usually you have to set the default device in recording tab.
In control panel -> sound -> recording tab.
If you will not see any further devices but only mic jack then you should click right and should enable the options; show hidden devices and show disabled devices.
Possibly then you could enable line in.
Otherwise such option is not available and not possible

You probably have an internet plugin installed that is preventing the MP3s from playing. I just checked a site with an MP3, and it played, rather than downloaded.
The internet plugin folders are at:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins and
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
(~/Library is hidden by default. Let me know if you don't know how to access it.)
My internet plugins were all in /Library; there were none in ~/Library.
Try moving these folders to the desktop (don't delete them), restarting, and then seeing if the MP3s play.
They it will be trial and error to see which plugin is responsible.

Premiere CC V8.1 Reference Window not playing

As title says, reference window wont play anymore. The cursor still moves through the timeline fine but reference window just gets stuck, any ideas before I re install it all?

The Reference Monitor, as opposed to the Program Monitor, does not play motion. If you want to see motion during playback, you must view the Program Monitor.
The Reference Monitor will update as soon as playback is stopped.

for that I used many layers, masking, motion tweens (nearly 700 layers I used)
As increasing the number of layers in test movie as well as exported swf playing slowly
It is very slow such that my project is not effective to see

MP3 Music will not play after upgrade to ios 5

I upgraded my iPhone 4 to IOS 5 yesterday.... Great!
But now when I want to listen to my MP3 from the new "Music" app, the MP3 gets stuck and will not play.
I have audiobooks and videos too and both plays ok with good sound and pictures.
Can anyone help?

I fixed it by deleting the MP3 and re-loaded / re-sync it back.
It took over 2 hrs as I had over 1000 Mp3.

I have the same problem and I know that it is due to my PCI Audio driver not being compatible with WIndows 8.1.
iTunes isn't the only program that can't direct sound to the built-in speakers anymore. The obvious solution would be to update the drivers, but unfortunately Dell does not provide an updated driver for my model, so I am stuck with that.
However, saying that, only my laptop speakers are affected by this. I can use sound fine on applications where I can choose the output device and direct sound to the head phones, but for some reason iTunes does not let you choose the audio device manually.

However, I would also like to rent movie's from iTunes,

Cd/mp3 player was not playing all tunes burned to disk

That's a TDK "Mojo" CD-MP3 Digital Jukebox.
Sit back and relax while I tell of my Grand Journey of Exploration. (There is a question below too.)
I had made a some iTunes playlists of MP3s, and decided to burn them on CD-R disks for my portable player. I had them all sorted by Artist and Album. The burn process seemed to go well, but when I loaded the first disk into the Mojo, it seemed to scan the entire disk and count all the tunes. It finished counting after it found all 193 titles. However, when I tried to play them, it would only play the first 26 tunes or so. (Another disk I had burned at the same time (different playlist) gave similar unsatisfactory results, something like 19 out of 186 tunes.) I knew the Mojo was not a current model, and thought maybe there was some weird file incompatibility thing going on.
I popped the disk into my son's CD/MP3 player ("Koss" brand), and it managed to find 30 or 40 of them. A bit better, but not perfect.
I tried it in my DVD player, and it was able to play all 193 tunes. In fact, it loaded and started playing quicker than I had ever seen it do before. It usually thrashes and whirs for an annoyingly long time.
The odd thing was that the Koss was able to play all 76 tunes on another disk I had burned over a year ago, on my wife's Mac, with a version of iTunes for Mac System 9.2. Unfortunately, those files were gone from her Mac so I couldn't see what the iTunes setup was. I was thinking maybe the newer version of iTunes had a bug or something.
Then I inspected the old and new disks in the Finder and noticed that the new disk had a bunch of folders with the Artists' names, and each artist folder had folders within them with Album names, and the tunes were inside those folders.
The old disk (which worked fine in the Mojo player) just had the MP3 files and no folders whatsoever. I knew I was onto something, but I couldn't figure out how to burn a folder-less MP3 disk from iTunes, as opposed to doing it manually via the Finder.
I searched Apple.com > Support > Discussions > iTunes for Mac > Importing & Burning in iTunes for Mac yet again, this time using "folders" for the search term, and up popped several threads where people wanted files organized by folders on disks:

So, I removed the columns for "Artist" and "Album" names from the playlist, and burned it, et voila! it worked just fine in my Mojo, which plays all 193 tunes. (Too bad I didn't fix the ID3 tags beforehand.)
Now, for points:
I had the playlist sorted by Artist, and here are the first four titles (of 193)

This is not the same as it was, nor is it alphabetical by Title.
If I click on the Title column header of course, it is ordered alphabetically by title, like this:

Other than dragging all 193 tunes, one at a time, in order manually, how can I keep the original play order by Artist, without creating folders on the burned CD?
There is talk of "Copy to Play Order" in the iTunes Help/Support files...
To use this command, Control-click one of the songs in the playlist,
and choose "Copy to Play Order" from the shortcut menu. Tip: These

... but I don't see that option when I Control-click anything. The bottom menuitem in the popup menu is "Clear". Same results with Right-clicking.

The mp3 file is not playing in the background of my folio .

So. The mp3 file stops playing as soon as i swipe to next page even if i check out the boxes for auto play and play in background.
Ive deleted all the files, uploaded them again. Updated my indesign but still dont work.
What am i doing wrong?

Which viewer are you using? Background audio is the only audio overlay piece that isn't supported yet on the Android or Windows viewers. It should work fine on the iOS viewer.

MP3's do not play in finder (preview)

For some reason I cant the preview feature does not work for Mp3 files in Finder. Instead, the file shows up as a quicktime icon and clicking on it launches quicktime. I do not see the play bar anymore.
Any idea what I need to do so that I can listen to an audio file in preview? Thanks!

I get the same thing and what I do is, let's say, I'm in column view and I have a folder with mp3's, I highlight one and see the itunes icon, I then switch to cover flow view and press the space bar for quick look and the song begins to play. you can highlight the file in column view and press the space bar for quick look also.
as to why the different icon look? have no clue.
shame after 11 updates apple couldn't wring out the same bugs that 10.5.1 had, lol. just funnin.

Bounced MP3 file do not play in iTunes

Hi guys!
I'm a new Logic Express 9 user (and a complete novice in recording!). I just managed to connect my Roland RD-700SX piano to my Macbook Pro (USB connection). I managed to use Logic Express 9 to record a simple song that I played on the piano. If I understand it correctly, the flow of data and subsequent "creation" of sound is as follows:
- upon recording: piano keyboard (acting as controller) --> Logic Express (receiving MIDI-data from keyboard) --> sound generator inside the piano (receiving MIDI-data from Logic Express) --> speakers
- upon playback: Logic Express (sending the recorded MIDI data) --> sound generator inside the piano (receiving recorded MIDI-data from Logic Express) --> speakers
I then bounced the file to an MP3 (following the directions in the "Exploring Logic Express 9" manual).
Upon playing the MP3 file in iTunes, there is no sound. I can see that the file was compressed (the MP3 file is about a quarter of the original uncompressed file).
Why is there no sound after bouncing the file? Does it have something to do with the fact that the "playback" within Logic Express 9 is sending the MIDI data to the piano's sound generator, and therefore does not actually hold the "audio" data, but a mere projection of that data? If the latter, how can I record the "audio" that I hear when playing the recording in Logic Express? If not possible to record the exact same audio (which is based on a top-range grand piano pre-installed in the RD-700SX), is there a way to use the MIDI-data in the project file and record "audio" based on the instruments that came with Logic Express?

That's exactly what happens. You didn't record any audio in Logic, but only MIDI data streamed from and to your digital piano.
To have your song bounced, you must record the RD700SX' sounds into an audio track. To do this, it is not sufficient to connect the keyboard via USB, because it hasn't got an integrated audio interface.
Instead, go get yourself an audio interface (or, in case of missing funds, connect it with a suitable adapter cable directly to you Mac's inputs, you'll want to use the headphone jack of the RD700 as output perhaps). Then, aim a audio track for recording and hit record. The Mac will stream the MIDI data to your RD700, which in return will feed the audio track with audio (resulting in a visible waveform). Now this can be bounced.
Alternatively, you can use the MIDI data you've recorded to feed software instrument tracks which will produce audio as well.

I am putting together an interactive flash file that I have created in inDesign (CS4).
I have had no problems creating and exporting links, buttons etc, but when it comes to embedding video I am experiencing trouble..I have a video which I have converted to mp4 H.264 format, and there appears to be no problems when uploading but when I export, the video does not play, and there is just a black box in its place with no controls. I have tried converting the file into various other formats, all with no luck. I hope you can tell me where the problem lies!

Support for placed videos in exported SWF was introduced in InDesign CS5 so it does not suppose to work with CS4...

Mp3 player is NOT an ipod- can I get my music on it?

I have a sony mp3 player, not an ipod, and would like to put the music I have collected in iTunes on my player. I tried one song, and noticed the format is different (I think mp4?) and it would not play it. Is there any way to get the music I have on iTunes on my mp3 player? Would burning the songs to disc then putting them on my computer help?

Any music and videos purchased on iTunes will not work on any other player other than iPods and iPhones as well as your computer. Sony MP3 players will not play music and videos purchased in iTunes because of the digital rights management included in every purchase.
