Export view

Dear All
I have a user account in a database, under this account, i create a lot of view(Over 100) which is point to another database server table, and i want to export all of them and then import to another database. How i can do that?? I have check the export command, but how can i use this command to export view only?? how can i use to import?? Please help me.
Thanks for your help.
Tony

You cannot export views only. You can do a user export, and a user import on the other database.

  • SAP HANA: IMPORT/EXPORT Views

We can Import/export tables using hdbsql CLI.
But Is there any way by which we can export/import Views(attribute, analytic, calculation) using hdbsql CLI.
I raised above question some days back
SAP HANA: IMPORT/EXPORT Views | SCN
Also while checking on internet I found another link for the same issue:
    http://scn.sap.com/thread/2141404
And from experts answers, I came to conclusion that Import/Export Views(Attribute/Analytic/Calculation views)in SAP HANA is not possible through hdbsql CLI/ SQL commands. Now Is there a way where I can confirm this from SAP HANA program management guys?

    Lars,
    Thanks for the explanation.
What I am trying to achieve is to create an automate script which should export all tables and views for a schema and again import tables and views in a different schema.
table part is done, But stuck in view part.
I tried the below command and was able to export the calculation view which I created in Content and exists as
_SYS_BIC-->Package(same name as schema where all the tables are stored) --> View Name.
    Command used was:
    EXPORT  "<Schema_Name>"."<Package_Name>/<View_Name>"  INTO '<path>'
    Now I have 2 ques :
    1) I am not sure how to import this exported view. I tried below command but it failed:
    IMPORT  "<Schema_Name>"."<Package_Name>/<View_Name>"  FROM '<path>'
    2) Not sure how to export and import all the views.
I did IMPORT SCAN of the path as well and found below entries for the exported view in the mentioned path:
    SCHEMA_NAME, OBJECT_NAME, OBJECT_TYPE, EXISTS
    "_SYS_BIC", "<Packagename>/CalculationViewName>", "VIEW", 1
    "_SYS_BIC", "<Packagename>/AnalyticViewName>", "VIEW", 1
    "_SYS_BIC", "<Packagename>/CalculationViewName>/olap", "VIEW", 1
    "_SYS_BIC", "vwTile1ALLData", "VIEW", 1
Any Inputs would definitely help. Thanks.

  • How to export view definitions

    I'm having following issue:
I have created my own view definitions in Endeca Studio, via View Manager UI, and export them by following the recommendations found at https://wikis.oracle.com/display/endecainformationdiscovery/Export+View+Configuration.
Such recommendations are to create a graph that connects to Endeca Data Store and saves all view configuration in the required format for the LoadViewDefinitions graph.
Actually, I was able to create the graph and run it. After that, the xml file with the view definitions was created.
However, when I tried to run the LoadViewDefinitions graph, to import the definitions of the xml file to other data store, the following error came out:
Interpreter runtime exception in function substring on line 5 column 26 - 'String index out of range: -161'
By looking at the xml file and comparing it with other xml files, I could see that it contains only one long line with all the code, and I think this is the cause of the import failure.
Could anyone help me with this?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Not sure if I understood when you said to delete that white space from xml file. The thing is that the xml file contains only one long line with all code, like this:
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><soap:Body><listEntitiesResponse xmlns="http://www.endeca.com/endeca-server/sconfig/1/0"><semanticEntity key="LandedCost" displayName="LandedCost"><definition>DEFINE LandedCost AS SELECT...
While other files that work are like this:
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <soap:Body>
    <listEntitiesResponse xmlns="http://www.endeca.com/endeca-server/sconfig/1/0">
    <semanticEntity key="LandedCost" displayName="LandedCost">
    <definition>
    DEFINE LandedCost AS SELECT ...
What should I do with the one that does not work? Which white space are you referring to?
    Thanks

  • Foreign trade:export and foreign trade:export views

    hi
i just want to know if we can maintain two different country of origin for foreign trade:export and foreign trade:export views in material master record.
    Ex
scenario:- if i am importing a material from india and export the same to china.

Using your example: India is the country of origin and China the country of destination - you don't need 2 countries of origin.
Country of Origin = Country where the material comes from

  • Black text on white background has horrible glow after export & viewed on TV.

I'm wondering how to correct a glow that develops around black text after exporting. Black text is on white background of course.
    Export settings:
    H.264
    HDTV 1080p 24 HQ
I've checked of 'use max. render quality' as well as 'render at max. depth'
If someone could help, that would be greatly appreciated!

If you want to try the contrast change.
In Titler ..make the White Fill less than full white. ( Color Picker Fill)  235 to 245 should be fine.
I would not mess with the Black and you should not need to Key line anything with Grey.
But maybe you did not make this text in Titler.
If not..you need to make the changes in original application. eg PhotoShop.
What TV is involved in viewing this?
How does the Text look in the PPRO Monitors?

  • Exporting views from a schema

    Hi Gurus,
We have a problem while creating a replica of a remote DB in local.
We were able to export all DB objects except views.
As they are critical for making the local DB 'complete', we are looking for a solution.
We have tried the below query for getting the definition for a single view on a schema, but the query is taking too much time, even if run on the server.
    Select dbms_metadata.get_ddl('VIEW','<VIEW NAME>') from dual
Please suggeest us a solution for the same.
NOTE: Unfortunately we don't have any advanced tools and we are just relying on the Oracle SQL developer, even for developement.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Export views and business areas from dev to prod.

    Hi Gurus,
I am using oracle database 10gR2 and Oracle BI Discoverer Administration 10gR2.
I have an End User Layer disadmin1 with 10 business areas. This EUL also have folders for the views in its own schema. I used original import/export utility to export this EUL from Development to Production environment.I exported the schema disadmin1 form development and imported it into production into same shcema disadmin1 (This exported the views too) . It is absolutely working fine.
Now I have to develop 5 more business areas in the same EUL as phase 2 development I am keeping the EUL disadmin1 for bug fixing for initial 10 BAs, and I have another EUL disadmin2 to develop new business areas. For these new business areas, I have to firrst create views and then create folders on these views in disadmin2. I will export the new business areas form discoverer utility 'Selected Business Areas' from disadmin2 and will import them into production in original EUL disadmin1. My problem is how can I export new views from development to production.
    Thanks for the help.

With Discoverer, there is not necessarily one right way to do things. There is certainly nothing wrong with the process you are doing. I believe Oracle had a different process in mind with Oracle, but that does not mean your process is wrong. Did you install the seeded (Oracle term) business areas that come with Discoverer, and activated the business views for those Oracle business areas? Put those into Production and your users can develop workbooks on the fly in Production, rather than wait for something to go through a development-test-production process. Which can be good or bad depending on your individual situation. As for creating new views, I suggest talking to your Oracle technical team to see what process they have for approving new views in production and getting those views created. I would suggest getting those approved and created first before relying on using them for Discoverer development (just in case the creation is not approved), but that is just my opinion.

  • How to post material master legal control data (Foreign trade export view)?

    Dear Gurus,
Currently we have an external application which posts material master data into SAP using MATMAS IDOC through JCO. Now we have a requirement wherein we need to post legal control data ( especially ALNUM field) beisdes the regular views. MATMAS Idoc do not have a provision to post this specific field ALNUM ( Export control class).
Can you please suggest how to post this field value in to SAP. Do we need to use any other IDOC or RFM/BAPI as we do with classification view. In that case can you please suggest those relevant APIs.
    Thanks in advance
    Aman

    Hi Aman,

There is no provison to post this field through IDOC. Can u please tell me what was the why u followed for this issue.

  • Exporting views!!!!!

    Hi Guys
I have to export and import some views from Oracle 9i(solaris) to Oracle 10g. I have no idea how on earth I can do that.
Pls let me know know how I can do it..

Getting DDLs from dba_source would be more efficient if its only few views.FYI...views are not stored in _source.

Has anyone here written or come across a script I can run in sql plus (or otherwise) that will export the ddl for all views in a schema?
SQL Developer allows you to copy a views ddl to a file or clipboard but only one at a time. I would like to be able to do this in bulk somehow.
    Thanks.
