Exporting from excel

I am using acrobat 9 pro and when I export from excel our logo appears with a thick black line through it. Any suggestions?

Thanks but I have changed the print quality in Adobe to "high quality" which has fixed the problem.
Thank you

  • Viewing issues for custom list exported from Excel

    Exported a table from Excel to use in our Sharepoint Online site.  I am a site owner.  The table/list shows up for all owners.  When a team site member tries to view the list it only shows the headers and no items.  The list is inheriting
    the permissions from the site and the members can see other content on the site.  I have even stopped the inheritance and set custom permissions for the list but it still only shows for owners.  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance for the help.

    Petra,
    The Forum isn't really designed as a training system but rather where people can share questions or get a separate pair of eyes to look afresh at issues that aren't working for some reason. This is particularly the case for something which is as important as creating dimensions.
    The idea of the SSM Cube Builder/Model Designer was to enable people to build models with their relevant dimensions and metrics for demos and simple initial systems using manual data entry. If you are getting into building dimensions that will be outside BW then you are moving into the implementation arena rather than demo creation and need to work carefully so that things tie up.
    I doubt people would expect to be able to set up/implement BW without training and SSM is the same.
    If you would like training or would like to collaborate on a first project to enable skills transfer then my colleague Pedro and I would be happy to discuss this. We have done this with other people and it has worked well.

  • Import/Export from Excel ?

    Many revisions of Nokia PC Suite ago, using my PC I used to be able to import my phones address book to a .CSV file...open it in Excel....tidy it up neatly using Excel....save it as a .CSV file...and then export it back to my phone.
    I've been without a Nokia for a while now for corporate reasons, but am now back and want to do it again.
    That functionality doesnt appear to be there in the new version pf PC Suite. Can anyone confirm whether it is possible, or whether I can still get hold of an early version do what I want ?
    Any help will be gratefully received.
    Thanks, Si

    I don't know if this will help but I've just successfully managed to import old SMS messages created with a Samsung phone, into my new Nokia X6 I'm would imagine that it will work with contacts too (?) What I did was this:
    1 - Using the other phone's software, I exported the info into an Excel file.
    2- Using PC Suite, I then exported one single message to a CSV file and noted the layout: It seems to be that there are hidden attributes in the file that are particular to Nokia, so the key was to use this file as a template rather that trying to mimic it with the first Samsung xls sheet.
    3 - In this Samsung sheet I changed the date/hour format to match Nokia's by using the Windows Regional and Language options in Control Panel - noting that the seperator was a dot, hence: YYYY.MM.DD HH.MM (There are no 'seconds')
    4 - Going back to the Nokia Excel 'template', by dragging the cell information down to the number of SMS's I wanted to import PLUS 1 , I copied the info down for columns A, B, C and F. This seemed to keep the hidden information that lies in row 1.
    5 - Then I simply copied and pasted the date/time information into row 2, to the bottom of the required rows, and then did exactly the same with the SMS messages.
    6 - I then saved this as a CSV file and imported it back via PC Suite into my phone.
    Hey presto - it worked !!
    In my case they were all messages from the same number but if that wasn't the case, I would have copied and pasted that information in too and I don't see how it wouldn't have worked.
    So - to sum up - the important Excel information is carried in row 1 - so keep it there !
    Good luck !

  • Updating data in Xcelsius 2008 Export from Excel Spreadsheet

    Xcelsius 2008 newbie question....
    I have created a Xcelsius export (.swf) that display my data. However it appears the data is static after exporting.
    I am at a loss as to how you force it to update/refresh using the connections used in the excel.
    Am I missing something? I cannot find a straight answer, do need LiveOffice?
    How do I have an (.swf) export file that refreshes data itself????

    The easiest way to get data to update in your swf is to create a connection in the Data Manager.  After the connection is setup you can add a connection refresh button to allow the swf viewer to trigger that connection.
    To get data to refresh automatically, you can setup the connection to trigger or update on interval.

  • How can I export from Excel to pdf using Acrobat Std to achieve uniform page size throughout the whole pdf document?

    After exporting the whole workbook to a single pdf file, page sizes are inconsistent. When viewing the document in full screen, some pages show up as 25% zoomed, others as 34%.  I could re-print the exported pdf file to pdf in Acrobat Std, and that way I could get the same page size throughout the document, but then I loose my bookmarks, which I don't want.
    I have already set the page size to A4 in Excel, but that's not where my problem lies. any help, hint is appreciated.

    A good place to start is Karl Heinz Kremer's blog, where he has a few examples:

  • Can  I create a data set from Excel spreadsheet?

    I have been looking for help with Spry data sets. I want to know if I can create a data set directly from an spreadsheet or do I have to save it to a CSV  file first. I will be upgrading to DW CS4 shortly & trying to do my homework now.
    Can someone point me to an article or video explaining how to do this? I have gone through various helps with HTML tables as data sets.
    Thanks.

    Yes, mostly.
    We have a CSV data set, which is a comma-separated value file, which can easily be exported from Excel.

  • Transferring User-Entry Cells from Excel Files

    Hello,
    I apologize in advance if this is a question better answered in a Microsoft Excel forum, but I saw some really good discussions here, and I think my question applies just as much to Acrobat.
    I work at a college and we create a lot of excel files -- one for each student. I'd like to be able to create excel files with fields that would accept user-entered data, then save this excel file as a PDF so that the user-entry fields are preserved. I can't seem to figure out a way to do this, but I'd like to avoid having to go into each PDF with Acrobat after the fact to add the appropriate fields to each form.
    If not that, is there a way to change acrobat settings such that the user will be allowed, using Reader, to enter text anywhere on the form (without altering the text that's already there)?
    Thanks so much for your time and thoughts!
    -Devin

    There is not a built-in way to convert from Excel to PDF so that the cells are automatically converted to form fields in Acrobat with the data retained.
    To allow Reader users to add text to a PDF, it needs to be enabled for commenting (Tools > Typewriter > Enable Typewriter too in Adobe Reader, for example), which allows Reader to add text using the Typewriter tool. Or "Comments > Enable for Commenting and Analysis in Adobe Reader", which allows other types of comments (e.g., Text Box) to be added with Reader.
    If the layout is static, you can import data exported from Excel and fill fields in a PDF form. The data file needs to be a text file in tab-delimited format, with the PDF field names provided in the first row, and subsequent rows being the corresponding field data. You can import in Acrobat using: Forms > Manage Form Data > Import Data. When you select the text file, it will promt you to import a row of data from the text file.

  • Importing data from Excel using SDK!

    Hi All,
    Can we do a Goods Receipt and Goods Issue via SDK.
    IF so any code available for the same!Secondly can we
    Import data from Excel using SDK!
    Thnx in advance

    Hi Vinayak
    4 your 2nd issue: you can easily use Excel.Application COM-object. In C# exporting from Excel can be:
    Excel.Application     oXL;
    Excel._Workbook     oWB;
    Excel._Worksheet     oSheet;
    string          strTemplatePath;
    strTemplatePath = Application.StartupPath + "WHRequestList.xlt";
    try
         oXL = new Excel.Application();
         oWB     = (Excel._Workbook)(oXL.Workbooks.Add(strTemplatePath));
         oSheet     = (Excel._Worksheet)oWB.ActiveSheet;
         SAPbouiCOM.Item     edDocNum;
         SAPbouiCOM.IEditText specEdDocNum;
         edDocNum = SBOApp.Forms.Item(FormUID).Items.Item("8");
         specEdDocNum = (SAPbouiCOM.IEditText)edDocNum.Specific;
         SAPbouiCOM.Item     edDocDate;
         SAPbouiCOM.IEditText specEdDocDate;
         edDocDate = SBOApp.Forms.Item(FormUID).Items.Item("10");
         specEdDocDate = (SAPbouiCOM.IEditText)edDocDate.Specific;
         oSheet.Cells[2, "F"] = "¹ " + specEdDocNum.String + " îò " + specEdDocDate.String;
         oXL.Visible = true;
         oXL.UserControl = true;
    BTW, don't forget to add Excel object in ProjectReferences
    For sure, importing  (reading) from Excel is the same

  • Exporting to Excel from Aria People Search

    Is it possible to export to Excel from Aria People Search.

    Hi,
    If you are using 10g, then OLE2 is supported. However, it will be executed in the App Server Machine.
    If you want to do the operation in the Client machine (as how it was done in the Client / Server), you need to use Client_OLE (Which is part of WebUtil).
    Look at
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/webutil/webutil.htm
    for more details on WebUtil.

  • During export from Discover to Excel, Time Format changes to Number Format

    Hi
    I have a seconds column which is of number datatype. But in my report, I am converting the number in *0HH:MI:SS* format. For example, I have *4952534 seconds*. So my report is showing *1375:42:14* which is a Time Format. It looks good when I view the data in Discoverer Viewer or Plus. But when I try to export the data to Excel, the time format gets converted to *4952534 seconds*, which is creating problems. So can you suggest on how can I preserve the formatting during export to excel from discoverer.
    Thanks
    Sachin

    Hi,
    Excel will not implement the 0HH:MI:SS data format, it just gets the field as a number. You will have to format the field into text using the calculation from my previous post.

  • Why was formatting removed from Export to Excel when exporting from PWA 2013?

    We have recently moved from using Project Server 2007 to Project Server 2013 and one thing that we have noticed is that when we Export to Excel all the formatting has been removed and all the task grouping and alignment has been flatted.
    Why did Microsoft remove this feature from the Project Server 2013?
    Is there an easy way for anywhere there is an Export to Excel option on the Ribbon to add the formatting back?
    What is the best solution to still retain the indents, bolding, and grouping?

    Jason --
    I can confirm your findings with exporting PWA pages in Project Server 2013 to Excel.  As to why Microsoft removed the feature previously found in Project Server 2007, I have no idea, as I do not work for Microsoft.  I do not believe there is any
    way to force the Export to Excel feature to work the same in 2013 as it did in 2007.  I think it will be up to the user to format the exported Excel workbook as needed.  Hope this helps.

  • Export from ALV to Excel - problem with numeric values

    hi folks,
    when exporting from alv to excel and we have negative values (and using an u.s.a. setting where . and , are different to r/3) negetive values are not shown correctly in excel.
    when changing in win nt the regional settings to europe one's (e.g. germany) everything works fine.
    any hints welcome,
    kind regards

    I guess this has something to do with the excel settings. In the control panel you have regional settings.try some options there. It might work.

  • Export to Excel from Report region (pl/sql returning sql query)

    Hello all,
    I have encountered an interesting problem. I have an HTMLDB application with a lot of sql reports coded straight inside the report region. In order to better organize my reports, I decided to
    1. make all my report regions of type "Pl/Sql function returning SQL query"
    2. create a package inside my database schema which houses all reports as pl/sql functions returning VARCHAR2, the string returned being the report query
    3. just calling "return package_name.function_name" from inside my report region of type "Pl/sql function returning SQL query".
    This technique seemed to work perfectly. The reports were being returned as expected. I was then asked to provide the "Export to Excel" capability to all my reports. This seemed like a piece of cake using HTML DB's "Export to Excel" extension. However, the "export to excel" does not function correctly when my reports are inside a package in the database. HTML DB tries to export but inside the excel spreadsheet, instead of seeing row data, I see:
    <pre>failed to parse SQL query:
    ORA-00936: missing expression
    <!-- select a.username, b.table_name, 'View Row Data' from schema_browser_user_list a, all_tables b where a.user_id = and a.username = b.owner order by b.table_name asc
    --!>
    </pre>
    I am building my query string inside of my package functions by using a combination of literal strings and concatenating them with some parameter values being passed in. It seems that the HTML DB engine which exports the report to excel does not properly understand the concatenation of variables as can be seen by the empty space to the right of the equal sign in the "a.user_id = " clause. Does anybody have any input as to whether this is a known issue or if I am doing something wrong? Thanks a lot for your time.
    - Kenny R.

    James,
    Thanks for the quick reply. I think you mis-understood what I'm doing. All I'm doing is creating packaged functions which return VARCHAR2. The VARCHAR2 that they return is the report query. With this technique, I no longer have to type the query into the HTML DB report region. Instead, I make the report region a "Pl/sql function returning sql query" and make the following call: return package_name.function_name(some_application_items passed in as parameters)
    This makes for a much more organized html db app. The problem is that the "export to excel" function does not correctly interpret the VARCHAR2 that my packaged functions are returning. Is this a better explanation? Thanks again for your time.
    - Kenny R.

  • Export to Excel from PL/SQL Procedure

    I am creating a report using PL/SQL and html code. Once the report is display, I click on "Export to Excel" button. it should open the new window with Excel. The window opens in Excel, but no data. I have following code

    Can anyone tell me what is wrong.
    I have the same code in another schema and it is working fine. Both schema are on the same server. Do they have any set up on appserver in DAD file to be able to see the data in Excel?
    Thanks

    Thank you for your answer dccase!
    I decided to go with on demand process. I have trouble with calling procedure from (button URL - javascript:popupURL('#OWNER#.exportXML')) pop window which cause "Forbidden, The requested operation is not allowed" error. I read that this is because I'm using XE edition and there is no HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER role in XE.
    Now, I use on demand process and button URL link:
    javascript:popupURL('f?p=&APP_ID.:0:&APP_SESSION.:APPLICATION_PROCESS=PLSQL_Export_XML:NO::')
    It is working. Now I have to find solution to automatically close popup window :-)
    Thanks!
