Exporting Only Contacts to PST
Hello,
I'm using the New-MailboxExportRequest cmdlet to export contacts in this format:
New-MailboxExportRequest -Mailbox User1 -IncludeFolders "#Contacts#" -filepath \\server\share\user1.pst
This works, except that it also includes a folder called "Recoverable Items". I tried adding "-ExcludeFolders '\Recoverable Items#'", but the folder still gets exported. Is there anyway to rectify this aside from clearing the Recoverable Items folder on the
server before exporting?
Thanks!
Hi
Am using below syntax to export contacts folder but its giving error.
New-MailboxExportRequest -Mailbox mailbox name -IncludeFolders "Contacts" -filepath \\servernameD\share\user.pst
getting below error.
A positional parameter cannot be found that accepts argument 'Contacts\AbhinavGoel.pst'.
+ CategoryInfo : InvalidArgument: (:) [New-MailboxExportRequest], ParameterBindingException

Exporting selected contacts from Outlook 2011 for Mac
I've wanted to easily export a set of selected contacts from Outlook in Microsoft Office for Mac 2011. I've been through many threads about synching to Address Book and then exporting, but I've found a host of troubles, including duplicate copies of contacts being created.
So, I finally broke down and wrote an AppleScript script to export all of the currently selected contacts from Outlook to a file in either vcf (vcard) or csv (comma separated value) format. The best use of this script is to:
-- Install this as a script in Microsoft Outlook by saving the script below to Documents>Microsoft User Data>Outlook Script Menu Items
-- Change to your Contacts in Outlook. Use the Outlook search bar to find the contacts you want to export. You might search by name, category, company, or anything else that identifies the contacts you want to export. Or, you might just leave the view showing all contacts.
-- Select the contacts you want to export
-- Launch the script
The script will have you select between vcard and csv and select a destination file. This hasn't been optimized for speed, so if you're exporting 100's or 1,000's of contacts, be patient. And there isn't a progress bar at present, so you have to wait. It will display an alert when it's complete.
Sorry not to have a download location for you. You'll just have to copy the script text :-). Keep in mind there's been some but limited testing. Read the comments for details. And enjoy.

-- Note that email address are a special case as they're a list of objects in
-- Outlook. So these are handled specially in the export function and can only
-- be selected by the column names "home email", "work email", and "other email".
-- Outlook allows a contact to have more than one of each type of email address

-- addresses in Outlook to adapt. The alternative is to support multiple
-- columns in the csv like "other email 1" and "other email 2", but that's not
-- supported in this version.
-- Another note. In this version, any embedded "return" or "linefeed" characters
-- found in a property of a contact are converted to a space. That means that
-- notes, in particular, will be reformated. That said, this gets arond a problem
-- with embedded carriage returns in address fields that throw off importing

How do I export phone contacts into CSV file?
I can't seem to export the contacts in my iPhone into a CSV file so I can import them into Yahoo Mail or Gmail to edit.
Contacts are designed to be synced with a supported application on your computer. This is so common with Windows users - here anyway - not having contacts available on their computer. How does one get by without having contact info available on their computer, or having email addresses only for contacts on their computer, telephone numbers only for contacts on their cell phone, and mailing addresses who knows where? Not a good idea to depend on an iPhone or any cell phone only for contact info - along with having to manually enter all contact info on a cell phone, which can be lost or stolen.
With Windoze, you can sync contacts with Outlook 2003 or 2007 along with syncing calendar events, or with the address book used by Outlook Express or by Windows Mail (depending on the Windoze version) called Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only. You may not have Outlook 2003 or 2007, but you have Windows Contacts available.
If Windows Contacts is empty - no contact info, before the first sync enter one contact in Windows Contacts. Make the contact up if needed, which can be deleted later. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select. Syncing contacts with Windows Contacts is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
After your contacts are available in Windows Contacts, you can export the contacts from there in a CSV file for import by Yahoo or Gmail. -
How do I back up Contacts on my iPhone 3 I got back in 2008? With MobileMe closing down, is there a way Ican export my Contacts info to my laptop. Alternately can I use iCloud with an iPhone this old?
Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 along with syncing calendar events and notes, or with the address book app used by Windows Mail called Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only.
Before syncing contacts with an empty Windows Contacts address book, enter one contact in Windows Contacts. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data which you want to select. Syncing direct with Windows Contacts via the iTunes sync process is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. -
all my contacts have cell phone numbers next to their name. i would like to print a list of only this field. How do i do this? i tried to cut and past to Excel but it not a "clean fit" and is more trouble than it is worth. is there an easier way?
Firefox does not have a contacts list. Any contacts list will be part of a website that you are using, you need to contact the support for the site to see if they have an option to export the contacts.

After migrating from Exchange 2003 to 2010 something strange happens when exporting folders to a .pst file and importing them in another mailbox.
The acces right that are applied, are those from the original mailbox.
I have been searching on the internet about this strange behaviour, but it seems our organization is the only one where is applies.
Does anybody have any ideas what can be the cause?Hi,
For example, userA was granted permissions to the Inbox folder of userB's mailbox. You exported userB's Inbox folder to PST file and then imported to userC's mailbox. After that, userA had permissions for Inbox folder in userC's mailbox as well. This is
what you had encountered, is it right?
Generally, permissions aren't preserved when you export folders to PST file, only the content itself is exported. I recommend you remove this mailbox folder permission using the Remove-MailboxFolderPermission command to check the result.
Best regards,
Belinda

Sync between MacBookPro and iPhone 3G does not sync properly. Calendars duplicate events but worse is that only contacts from Address book from letter T onwards sync. Any contacts on iPhone which are not on Mac are lost during sync.
Solutions? No, I never really found an easy solution. I believe it is an issue with some corruption in the iTunes database on the specific device. In my case, both my iPad and iPhone now show duplicate stream songs if viewed through iTunes on my Mac, but they show different songs. A couple years ago I had a similar issue on my iPhone, and Apple support suggested I back up the phone, completely reset it, and then restore it from the backup. It did work, so I imagine it would probably work for my current issues with the iPhone and iPad. But resetting and restoring an iPad or iPhone always makes me a little nervous that something will get lost. When I did reset/restore the iPhone, I do have to say, the restore process was 100% perfect and I did not lose any data at all even though Apple support said I might. If you try to go that route, I would suggest backing the device up both to a computer through iTunes, and to the iCloud so that you have a double backup.
None of this really resolves the issue with how the iTunes databases are becoming corrupted on the apple devices though, so it is very likely to happen again until they fix it. I have been unable to determine if there were any specific actions or conditions which caused the corruption to happen in the first place.
Might be worth another call to Apple support, or dropping in the local Apple store if you have one near by. -

Hello khanhlinh98,
I would recommend performing the following steps in order to stabilize your iPhone.
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see the battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.

EXPORT ONLY TABLES IN A SCHEMA USING DATA PUMP
Hi folks,
Good day. I will appreciate if I can get a data pump command to export only TABLE oBJECT in a specific shema .
The server is a 4 node RAC with 16 CPU per node.
Thanks in advanceIf all you want is the table definitions, why can you use something like:
expdp user/password direcory=my_dir dumfile=my_dump.dmp tables=schama1.table1,schema1.table2,etc content=metadata_only include=table
This will export just the table definitions. If you want the data to, then remove the content=metadata_only, if you want the dependent objects, like indexes, table_statistics, etc, then remove the include=table.

as well, how can i export only form fields that were filled in if I can get pdf to save to computer?Hi kstine,
I can see why that would be frustrating! Have you tried selecting Stayed Signed In underneath the Adobe ID and Password boxes when you try to log in?
What did you use to create the PDF form? If you used FormsCentral, form data is saved to your online FormsCentral account. If you have Acrobat, you can export form data as described here: Adobe Acrobat X Pro * Manage form data files

Is there any Exchange API support exporting .edb file to .pst file.
Hi
I'm working on a feasibility study of Exchange single mailbox/item recovery for our product. I find that there are some third part software can extract items from .edb file , and export specific items to .pst file. But there is not public
Exchange SDK about this functionality. So I want to know is there any special API be provided for third part partener about this extract .edb file? if not, are there any another way to implement this functionality? To recover your EDB file you must need a 3rd party Exchange Server Recovery Software.
