Exporting to After Effects for Time Lapse video

Using Lightroom 5, what are the best export settings for pics to be imported into After Effects in order to make a Time Lapse video?

Hi(Bonjour)
Export with quicktime conversion to a movie encoded in animation codec for video aiff 16 bit 48khz to get better result. You'll get a pretty large uncompressed movie file.

  • Trouble exporting from after effects for youtube

I have edited my video using after effects.  I have been unable to export my file to youtube using a valid file name.  All of the results have issues with sound and quality.  Any suggestions?

Without knowing your exact settings and all that nobody can say anything. Just saying that there are issues really means nothing around here.

  • Quality Setting for exporting from After Effects To Final Cut

I've created an animation in After Effects for Final Cut.  My Export setting are Quicktime  Format Options are RGB, Millions of Colors Pre-Multiplied (Matted)
Although the font images are clear in After Effects I'm getting pixelized font images on the final product.  See below
Here's the image before in After Effects before I attempt to render the movie
Quite a difference as you can see.  Any suggestions for setting coming out to clear up the problem?

Michelle, are you able to get to the point in the screenshot below? Is ProRes an option there? Does animation or Apple Intermediate Codec show up? Thos might be a couple alternatives if ProRes is unavailable.

  • New laptop workstation for time lapse editing

    Hello all,
I'm in the process of buying a new custom laptop, and I seek your inputs regarding the specs,
The laptop will be based on the Clevo P370EM chassis, a pretty robust machine.
17.3" Full HD (1920x1080) Glossy 90% NTSC Color Gamut LED Backlit LCD, since I will be on-the-move most of the time
Plus I want a recommendation for a stationary, Full color scale display for stationary usage. And I plan to calibrate all this using the Spyder4 tool.
    Intel Core i7-3840QM 2.8GHz, 8M L3 Cache, 22nm, DDR3-1600MHz, Quad-Core Mobile Processor
    32GB (4 x 8GB) , PC3-12800, 1600MHz SODIMM
NVIDIA 680M 4096MB GDDR5 DX11 Compliant Video Card, I was flirting with the idea of getting the Quadro K5000M, but after a little research decided to go with the GTX. And CS6 does not support SLi so that's a pass too. Yet, still open for inputs.
Crucial m4 128GB mSATA Solid State Drive
Intel 240GB 520 Series SATA III 6Gb/s Solid State Drive Sandforce Powered, I read somewhere that Sandforce drivers are bad, any clarification on this one? This hard drive will be the primary one, for the OS and Software. Not a Brand-dedicated user, but I want something that lasts, I'm not looking for something that fails every now n then.
750GB 7200 16MB Cache SATA Notebook Hard Drive, this will be a secondary hard drive for general files and probably small projects. I tend to save each project on its own hard drive, so I guess 750 will be enough for my own entertainment.
The machine will be running windows 8 ultimate/7 ultimate, 64-bit.
This is my build so far, I'm still open for any suggestions.
My main usage is lightroom since I'm a photographer, but due to my inclination to time-lapses I will definitely use photoshop for batch processing about a 1000 hi-res photographs, then export to Premier to stitch it up, and probably will end up in After-Effect for Simple 3D work.
Thanks for reading and passing by,
    Hazaa3 =)

Keep in mind the firmware on each of the SSD drives whether they have Sandforce or Marvell controllers are manufacturer, Model, and version specific. That means many of the Garbage collection/trim instructions may be far better on one SSD drive than another with the a controller from the same manufacturer. We have yet to see any performance degradation on the Intel drives like we have other SF drives. However we have seen several Marvell controller drives with issues or far less performance.

  • Quicktime movie rendering for time lapse does not work in CS4

    Hey guys,
I m trying to render a time lapse video on PS CS4 and the process works well up until the export window. When i go there the first option under file options, quick time export, is unavailable( grayed out). The only available option is Image sequence. What do i have to do to enable the quicktime movie creation or any other movie format for that matter? Thank you.

    Welcome to the forum.
For PS CS4, I assume that you have PS-Extended. Is that correct?
    What OS/platform?
Do you have Apple's QT installed on that computer? If so, what version?
    Good luck,

  • Unable to open file in Premier CS5.5 after exporting in After Effects CS5.5

I have the Master Suite and I have the exact same error.  Very frustrating considering I waited 2 HOURS for it to render last night.  I get the exact same ERROR!!!  Please help.

I am using the trial version of the Master Suite with Adobe Premier and After Effects.  The main problem I am having is using the Warp Stabilizer in After Effects.  Once the video is brought in to the program and the 'Stabilize' or 'Track' feature is pushed, I have to wait hours, then the program freezes up and I have to close it.  Otherwise, if I only bring in a smaller sequence that was rendered in Premier, that seems to work better/faster in After Effects, but then I render it again after the stabilization in After Effects, but am having problems exporting it to Premier.  I have tried using the Dynamic Link, but then Premier freezes up.
Any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated.  I am using Vista Home Premium, Dell 64-bit, and the new versions of Adobe Master Suite (trial version).
Thank you in advance for your help.

  • Time-lapse video from existing series of pictures...

I am new to Premiere Elements and looking for instructions on creating a time-lapse video from a folder of still pictures taken using a GoPro camera.  So far the Help has only discussed creating time-lapse from a video feed.  great thanks for any suggestions...

    Welcome to the forum.
If you are ONLY using Still Images, and no Video, then you will want to determine your delivery, say DVD-Video, or BD, or posting to YouTube in SD, or HD. That will determine the Project Preset that you will choose.
Let's say that you will wish to deliver the Project via a BD (Blu-ray Disc). If so, then you can choose a 1920 x 1080 Project, at either 30 (29.97) FPS for NTSC, or 25 FPS for PAL.
I would Scale all of my images to 1920 x 1080 in Photoshop, or Photoshop Elements. This can be easily done with an Action for an entire folder of Images. See this ARTICLE for some tips.
As for Import, there are probably two ways to handle that, but someone will have to give you exact instructions on the second, if PrE now supports Importing Numbered Stills Sequences, like PrPro does. I believe that it now does, but use PrPro for such, that I have not explored it. The other is pretty straight forward. When I Scale my Still Images, I number them sequentially, so that file ____00001 is followed by ____00002, etc. through the last Image in the sequence.
This next part might take some experimentation, depending on the intervals, that you have set your Go-Pro to shoot, and the "look," that you want. For pure Time-Lapse, a Duration of 1 Frame is probably what you want, but if you wish a bit more of a Stop-Motion look, then you might want, say 3 - 5.Frames. For most of my work, I will go with the 3 - 5 Frames, and use very short Cross-Dissolves between each Image. After you have done the experimentation, go to Edit>Preferences and set the Still Image Duration. Then, Import the Stills, or if possible in PrE, Import the Numbered Still Sequence, which, in PrPro, will allow one to add the Cross-Dissolve automatically. Remember, also in Edit>Preferences, set the Video Transition Duration too.
Good luck, and let us know what works best for you. Also, keep an eye out, because if PrE does support Numbered Still Sequences, that will save you some time. Steve, Neale, John T., or another will verify that PrE has that capability, and where to locate it.

  • Plug-In for Time-Lapse for Lightroom 5

I'm doing a time-lapse in Lightroom 5 and understand all the steps expect the one towards the end which deals with the Template Browser.  From my understanding in order to export my time-lapse video as a video I will need to downlaod a free plug-in.  What plug in woulf that be and can someone explain the Template Brower more as well?  Also can anyone explain the IRTimelapse sorftware and do I have to buy this on top of the Lightroom 5 as well?

The IRTimelapse software have their own website, you would be better served going there for an explanation. As it's not Adobe software you have to pay separately.

  • Exporting from After Effects to Final Cut Pro

    Hi
Could anybody tell me the best way to export from After Effects, back in to Final Cut Pro? Do I need to get Automatic Duck for this, if so which one?
    Thanks for any help!
    Matt

You need to add your composition to the render cue and then export to the same format and codec that you're using in FCP. Automatic Duck is a great tool for getting your FCP or Motion timelines into After Effects but most of the time I simply select a clip in FCP, export it as a reference movie, bring it into AE for processing, then render a file to use as a replacement in FCP.
Search for After Effects Final Cut Workflow and you'll find some more tips including this one. It isn't bad for organization but it misses the point of using the same codec. All my FCP projects are ProRez HQ or ProREZ 444 so that's my choice. Also, if you use the entire shot, which is not a bad idea, then you can use the replace footage option in FCP which is more efficient than the demoed technique of dragging your rendered shot into the timeline and then trimming if needed.
    Hope this helps.

  • Problem to create a time-lapse video

    Hello all,
I'm encountering a problem with my CS5.1 , let me explain . I want to create a time-lapse video from many pictures i've taken,  But when i go to File------Automate------Batch , then I'm supposed to find in Actions something called "Time-Lapse processing " or something like this, but it's not there !!
Can you help me in how i can get this work, please ? much appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum.
It appears that you are looking to process your Still Images in Photoshop, with an Action, and then via Automate to Batch. Is that correct?
Premiere Pro does not use Actions, and has no Automate>Batch.
However, if one is doing Time-Lapse Video, PrPro can do that nicely.
First, will you have any Video, or only Still Images?
If ONLY Still Images, then you must address your intended delivery, say DVD-Video, or BD, or streaming media. That will determine your Project/Sequence Preset.
Let's say that you intend to create a BD (Blu-ray Disc), in full-HD, then you can choose a 1920 x 1080 Project, at a FPS for where you are, such as NTSC = 29.97 FPS.
After you have perhaps Scaled your Still Images in Photoshop, and named them in sequence, such as ____00001 through ____0000x, all in one folder, you can then Import that Numbered Still Sequence into PrPro, and even add a Transition, if needed.
For most true Time-Lapse, one would choose a Duration of 1 Frame, but for a bit of a Stop-Motion "look," then 3 - 5 Frame Duration might be better. You can always experiment with a few of your Images, to see what suits your tastes and desires. For most of what I do, the Stop-Motion look is my choice, and I will usually choose a Duration of 3 Frames, with a tiny Cross-Dissolve between those Frames. This is your artistic choice. There is no right, or wrong choice.
Hope that helps, and for the Photoshop aspect, you might want to post the question here: http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop/general
    Good luck,

  • Flicker Reduction on Time Lapse Video Sequences

Lately I have been doing a lot of time lapse video sequences with my still camera and intervolometer. I import these into AE and make HD Quicktime Movies. The camera is set on the apeture preferred setting so the only the shutter speed varies to compensate for different exposure values. When shooting subject matter that is brightly lit, like moving clouds against a sunset,I get a slight flickering or strobing effect. Are there any tools in Shake that would reduce the strobing effect? Perhaps adjusting the slight variations in exposure values.

The PixelAnalyzer node is made for just this type of situation.
Check out the Shake manual, pages 631-635.
You'll find the node in the Other tab.

  • Time Lapse video

I wanted to make a time lapse video and I recorded 19 hours of video but now find I import it into adobe premiere pro but cannot edit it. Is there a way around this as I want to compress the 19 hours down to 10 minutes?

Premiere Pro is too simple to make a mistake in. well you can if do not know what you are doing. But obviously I would think that I do. not so long ago I found out that the biggest file that you can edit on premiere pro on windows is 3.? gigs which relates to how much memory windows can address.
I was wondering if there was a simimlar issue here with my macbook pro or was it a design issue with premiere?
    1 I open premiere pro
    2. I create a new project
    3 bring in my footage
    4 create a new sequence
but still cannot drag and drop my footage onto the time line. this has happened on two occasions
I still after creating a new project, canceling on creating a sequence until I import my movie and then drag it to the new button to create sequence, I am unable to then drag it to the time line

  • Time-lapse video unfocused

Hello, i got a problem  When i make a time-lapse video , after adjusting my photo and synchronizing  all , i'm doing the slide show at 24fps, but the final video is unfocused, what i'm doing wrong ?

Lightroom 5.2+ only does 29.97 fps so it could be the interval. It may also be that the previews haven't been rendered, so it may be worth rendering them.

  • Edit Star Time Lapse videos shot on a G16 to bring out better colors?

Is there a good way to edit the Star Time Lapse videos shot on a G16 to bring out better colors?

    Hi bfreddy1!
    Thank you for posting.
Video can be edited to change how the colors are represented by most commercially available video editing software applications.  We do not make any of our own directly, so we cannot advise you on a specific workflow, but you may want to check into what features are supported by the various applications out there on the market.
