Extension for creating a zip file and unzipping it

Iam totally new to Dreamweaver and the extensions. So please
help me with this.
Assuming i have a .zip file and it contains some html pages
along with css and gifs.
The req is to have an Import option, which given this zip
file, can unzip its contents. The user can work on these html
pages. When the user finishes working on them, I need an export
button so that we can package the entire stuff back into a zip
file.
How can i implement this ?
Is there any extension that is available for this ?

There used to be one .. I'm not sure if that was in DMX time
or DMX 2004
time .. that, when installed, allowed you to select files
from the site
folder or the whole thing and create a zip from them. I don't
remember what
it was called or who created it .. but it might be on one of
my archived
disks or zips .. I'll try to check it out later today.

Heyy man, i think, u did not get my problem.
all i have to do is:
i have to create a zip file, and we should secure it with password when creating. and whenever the user wants to open that zip file he should provide correct passowrd otherwise he could not read that file. So, we should check for that also.

Read encrpted zip file and ftp unzip file

Hi,
I have a situation,where i need to read 3 zip files, which are encrpted, and each zip file may have lot of images and text files. all i want to do is, read these 3 zip files and unzip + ftp to another directory. No mapping is involved. if the three files are not there, it should error out.
I have some ideas, but thought if any of you have better ideas.

Creating an XLS file and Zip it

Hi All,
we have a requirement where in we have to create an XLS file from internal table. This xls file then has to be zipped and mailed.
If anyone knows how to create an xls file and zip it in WebDynpro, without using OPEN, CLOSE DATA SET etc, Please let us know. It will be of great help.

You probably want to use CL_ABAP_ZIP instead of CL_ABAP_GZIP. CL_ABAP_GZIP only does compression, which is fine for storing a single packet of data in the database. However CL_ABAP_ZIP is better suited for mult-part zip (multiple inner files).

This seems to be an HR specific class. Better to use the cross application, NetWeaver provided functionality for sending mail - CL_BCS.

Problems creating/extracting ZIP files, anyone?

I am having some odd bugs with OSX in creating and extracting ZIP files. I’m curious if anyone else has run across this or if anyone has any remedies to suggest.
The issue is that when I extract a ZIP archive, the extracted files have their creation dates and modification dates changed from the original versions. For example, I have a directory created in 2010 and all the files were created and last modified in 2010. However, when I ZIP the directory and re-extract it, many of the file dates change. Some files have the creation dates changed so to match the last modified date. In other cases, both the creation date and modification date are changed to something later than both, perhaps the date the directory was ZIPed or the date the directory was extracted. And some files don’t seem to have the dates changed.
I have tried various options, such as terminal, and third party programs (BetterZip, Keka, Stuffit, & Archiver to name a few) and they all seem to have some variation of this behavior. I have tried creating the Zip with one program and extracting with the other, and still this behavior persists. Different files seem to be affected with each combination of creating and extracting programs.
Another odd behavior was that I tried password protecting some directories with financial data, and OSX could create the ZIP file with the password, but OSX could not unzip the file with the password it created for some files. In every case, third party program could unzip the files with the password created in the terminal command. This seem to happen inconsistently.
I have tried creating a dummy account and tested it in that account, with similar results.
I’ve read the man page for the command line version of ZIP to see if there is some -option to preserve dates, but found nothing. The typical command looks like this:
> zip -er filename.zip sourceDir
> unzip filename.zip
File types include directories, PDFs, Text docs, Quicken files. Ive tested other directories too with other file types. It doesn’t seem to affect every file, but seems unpredictable. Luckily, I still have the original uncompressed version of most directories. But I really want to archive some directories and unarchive them when needed. The dates matter to me because they are mostly financial files and I use the dates to know what versions were used for taxes and other things. Also, if dates change, then backup programs start replacing the good backups with files with the corrupted dates.
I’d appreciate any suggestions or feedback. I there some bug in the ZIP protocol? Is there some bug in OSX file system that is corrupting the dates with the archive and unarchive process?

OK, sorry did not read it correctly. Read the first sentance and quit.
No, Bridge is just a browser. You can extract more than one file at a time in Win. Explorer. You have to do them individually, but can run multiple extractions at the same time.
There are other zip/unzip programs out there. I know the the CS6 beta a number of users could not open it with WinZip and used alternate product just fine.

File Adapter to read Zip file and send it as input to another webservice

Hi,
I have the below requirement:
1. A service will generate 3 attachments and place it in a particular directory.
2. SOA service has to pick those 3 files and send those files as input to another custom application which will email.
Design :
1. First SOA will create an archive file of those 3 attachements and then file adapter will poll for that zip file in that location and send that file as a whole to the custom application.
Query:
Now my question, is the above design feasible? If so, how to configure the file adapter to pass the file as input to that custom application?

You can accomplish this via java embedding activity...Create a java embedding, which will create a zip file.. this java code is easy to implement..
You can also do away with un-necessary polling file adapter.. and you can use "Synchronous File Read" operation of File Adapter.. For Sync Read, you'll have to pass the zip file name, which you can easily fetch from java embedding activity..
Let me know, if this doesn't work.

.ZIP files and the ZipFile object

Dove into java.util.zip this weekend and was most unhappy with the docs. Fortunately, searching these forums I was able to make some progress, but am still confused about the ZipFile class.
I was able to open a FileInputStream, hand it to a ZipInputStream and read a .ZIP file. I was not able to read the .ZIP opening it as a ZipFile (I got the ZipEntries and the header info, but couldn't unzip the data).
I was able to write a .ZIP with the reverse but was concerned that the ZipFile isn't even documented as supporting file writing. Is the ZipFile a useful thing in some way I haven't discovered, or should I just forget about it?

Converting html file into zip file and send email attaching zip file

I am trying to send email with attachment(html). Which contains more than 7MB. So, It is throwing an error like Size exceeded.

Create a zip files in a special way

Dear all,
Following my yesterday's posting, I would clarify my questions:
I successfully created a zip file which contains a folder structure and two files from strings. See attached codes.
However, I don't like the way that I physically created subfolder and files before add them to the zip file.
Is there any possibility to avoid that part of creating multiple folders?

That doesn't make sense to me. Even more so as your sample code suggests that you are familiar with Writer and ZipEntry concepts. Can you explain in detail where you are stuck or what part of my previous suggestion was unclear to you?

What programme creates a .ggi file and why would it be used?

Have been asked to create a .ggi file and I have never come across this file extension before.
I have googles it and got as much information as possible but can't seem to find the answer - why would it be used, what is it used for and what software creates it.
Also, not sure where to ask this question so apologies if this is in the wrong forum!

We can't know. File extensions are completely arbitrary and if whoever requested the format can't tell you what he/ she needs, then we can't either. If it were a commonly used file format we would probably not, but since we don't, it is probably a proprietary format associated with some lesser known or even exotic software. That being so, the request to provide such a file is actually even pretty stupid, since the only way to create it would be to have access to that program. Causal loop.

Creating a zipped file from table data

I am currently extracting data from a table and creating a flat file which is read later to create a compressed (zip) file.
Is there a way that I can create a zipped file in one step (i.e. directly from the table data)? I am trying to reduce the number of file i/o hits in my appication.

Yes, you can create an email attachment without writing a file to disk. This feature was introduced in CF 8.0.1.

i want declare several property (background-color ,...) and assing it to all of panelFormLayout .
so whenever i change color of background , background color of ALL panelFormLayout change easily .
(I created a css file and declared my property in it but i cant use it !!! )
NOW i hope to create a CSS file or(any thing you suggest) for this reason and use it .
