Facebook and incoming email suddenly stopped on my 8830

Help, I noticed the other day that my facebook app and my incoming email stopped working. I can send email OK though. I have already tried removing and replacing the battery, no luck. Checked connections, they seem to be ok. Where do I go next?

2. With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot

Check the outgoing mail server settings in your account on the Treo and see if it is set for your yahoo account.
Make sure it is not set for the Hotmail account.

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if the email text shows when you re-open the Mail app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Just go to your e-mail set up screen. All you have to do is Validate the e-mail accounts, by clicking on Validate & signing in with your password.

Push notifications and tag subscriptions suddenly stopped

Push notifications and registrations have suddenly stopped working (working fine for 4 months). I cannot figure out why. Can someone please help?
The only change I made on the server is to delete the TodoItem table (from azure example, which I'm not using any longer). Here are errors showing up in the mobile services logs:

I'm glad it's working for you again.
It looks like there was some
potential issue yesterday that includes Service Bus, but I'm not sure if it also affected Notification Hubs.
It's always a good idea to go and check the

I am writing in pages but the spell check keeps correcting the words into spanish. it is doing it on Facebook and my emails too.

Spellcheck follows the keyboard. Use the "globe" key to switch the keyboard to English.

You can't do anything, you should just wait.

I'm getting a similar error over here. Sporadically some sites won't load specifically in Safari; they open just fine in Opera, Firefox and Camino though. This is really annoying.
It's pretty clear it's nothing network related…

Why has .mac email suddenly stopped working on my PowerPC G5?

It's worked fine for a couple of years and now it asks for my password, which it will not acknowledge. I checked my .mac account settings, etc and all seems fine. The .mac account runs fine on my phone and thru iCloud. But now not on my desktop.
They're killing off MobileMe and I noticed that my desktop won't sync anymore with that either. Related? It appears that you will need OSX Lion to function fully with iCloud. Let's see, I'm only 13 OSX upgrades behind........

My email has stopped working on my HTC evo.
It's done this before and i went to settings and followed these instructions then it worked great for a few months but now I can not receive email. I can send but incoming does not work.

Suddenly and for no apparent reason one of my servers stopped working on my phone and now I cant send emails. All ok on my macbook though.
I have 4 email addresses and they work of 2 mail servers, 1 is fine and the other isnt.
I am really not very computer and techno minded so please talk nicely to me!

There are some things that you can check through Mail, the following article will assist with troubleshooting and getting your email back up and running. The big one to use is Connection Doctor, it will tell you why it cannot connect and get mail.

Exchange email suddenly stops working - password incorrect message

For the couple of months that I've had my iPhone, I have had email/contacts/calendar working fine through syncing with an Exchange server. Now it's suddenly stopped working, coming up with a 'password' incorrect message no matter how many times I input the correct password. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the email account, but the same problem arises. The username and server details are all exactly the same as those with which I initially set up the account.
One thing I have noticed is that when going back into the Account Info page on the iPhone, the password entry indicates 8 characters even though my exchange password has 10 characters, which I'm fully inputting each time.
I know that many people have experienced problems getting the Exchange up and running; I'm confused, though, that having had it working fine it should suddenly 'drop' the password for no apparent reason. Any advice would be appreciated!

This problem seems to have resolved itself - the fault was with the Exchange Server, apparently.

Dear All, the backspace and enter keys on my wireless keyboard suddenly stopped working. Im using OS 10.7.5 and have tried a PRAM reset which didn't work. I also used the keyboard viewer to see if the keys worked on that but they don't. This is driving me mad, can anyone please tell me what to do? It happened just after an update but this could be a coincidence. Thank you for your time

For my computers, though some of them support BlueTooth devices and accessories,
my preference and economy of standard, is to have wired USB and also use powered
USB hubs for accessories.
I've used USB wired keyboards and mouse products; and some I've bought from the
original owners who had upgraded to BT, and never used the new Apple USB model;
so I have spares of these on-hand since they seldom fail, but do work when BT won't.
{A SMC reset should not cause a problem, or seldom has; but can solve some.}
In my opinion, the wired USB keyboard is an essential accessory, if not a necessary
primary means of user access on a continuous basis. At least until the wires fail...!

Port forwarding and LAN traffic suddenly stopped working

My WRT54G was chugging along happily for many months, and suddenly all port forwarding and local LAN traffic stopped flowing. All PCs behind the router on the LAN side can get to all WAN sites just fine, but they cannot ping one another. All of them can ping the router (192.168.1.1) just fine.
Any ideas?

I solved this. Turned out to not be the router at all, but the accidental enablement of the "Stateful Firewall" within my Cisco VPN client. Once this option is turned on, the machine gets isolated from the LAN, even when the VPN client isn't visibly running.

Email suddenly stops working on iOS devices

I have been using email on my iPad 2 and iPhone 5 for over a year.
Two days ago, it stopped receiving email.
The error message I get is
"Cannot get mail. Password or username is incorrect."
Except that the email on my MacBook Pro works fine using Thunderbird, and I have no trouble accessing the web based email using a PC.
In fact, I was even able to send myself a test email from the iPad to my gmail account.
Any ideas, suggestions. I re-booted each device twice to no effect,

Did you migrate your MobileMe account to iCloud before 1 August? If you did then you can set up an iCloud account using it. Your signature says you have 10.4.11 - is this correct? Lion 10.7.2 minimum is required for full use of iCloud but you can set Mail up manually on Tiger to access your iCloud email on a migrated MobileMe account:

If you did not migrate the account it has been closed, and all the contents deleted, including everything on the iDisk and any emails you had stored there.
If you only have Tiger you cannot reactivate the address.
If you have Lion or an iOS5 device you can sign into System Preferences> or Settings>iCloud with the @me.com version of the address to reactivate that address; you cannot reactivate the @mac.com version by any method.

Why did video and audio chat suddenly stop working?

I used to be able to video and audio chat with my parents, but it suddenly stopped working. They use AIM.
I get the "There was a communication error during your chat" message come up when I try to connect to their video chat requests. I spent a couple hours reading the old posts on this issue, but nothing seems to work for me. Thanks to anyone who can help me -- my parents in Illinois want to be able to see their grandbaby!

Ok,
Most routing devices have ports that are open (1 - 1024) that allow you to use Web Browser and Mail apps without any set up.
Certain apps need other ports open or allowed as thy are normally closed (1024 - 65535)
Now there are several ways to open these ports.
One method is called Port Forwarding and points the ports you list to one IP on your LAN (The one your computer is getting/using)
Now if the routing device is left doing DHCP this IP can change now and then meaning the Port Forwarding is no longer pointing to the Computer (IP).
If your computer (or your parents in this case) is left on all the time it tends to keep the IP as the Lease as it is called is renewed.
However if the computer is Off for longer than the lease time It will get a new IP
The thing to do is check the routing device's Settings.
This site lists many devices.
If yours is there click on it.
On the next page Click on iChat
You will now see the Default Access Info (And the Port Forwarding info)
DO NOT DO the Port Forwarding but check the settings.
If it does have Port Forwarding set up check the IP it lists as going to matches the one you see in System Preferences > Network for your computer.
AS you say your parents were away for a time I suspect it may be their end.

E63 and incoming email sync (outlook 2007)

Hi everyone,
I checked the topics but I didn't get the answer so I open a new one.
I just wonder if it is feasible to get the emails in outlook incoming email folder in my E63.
Nokia Pc Suite let me sync some outlook folders (contacts, tasks...) but incoming email is not an option. I read in Nokia Pc Suite sync page that some models can not sync some folders. Is this the case?
Please let me know, I was used with a Treo (Palm), and all the folders of outlook in it.
any alternative tips are welcome as well.

If you have an Exchange server running, you can. Otherwise the're is no way of syncing E63 e-mail with Outlook.
