Facing issue when Extending two VO's

Question

Dear all,
We are trying to extend VO
The VO which we are extending is under page reference not directly associated with the page.
Means ReceiptBasedLinesVO is further extending ExpenseReportLinesVO (It contains respective method which we need to overwrite)
For achieving the same we ahve tried below Cases:
Case 1:
Extending ReceiptBasedLinesVO :
public class ExtReceiptBasedLinesVOImpl extends ReceiptBasedLinesVOImpl
public class ExtReceiptBasedLinesVORowImpl extends ReceiptBasedLinesVORowImpl
Extending ExpenseReportLinesVO:
public class ExtExpenseReportLinesVOImpl extends ExpenseReportLinesVOImpl
public class ExtExpenseReportLinesVORowImpl extends ExpenseReportLinesVORowImpl
When we are executing above scenario getting below exception:
Error java.lang.ClassCastException: xxx.oracle.apps.ap.oie.server.ExtReceiptBasedLinesVORowImpl incompatible with xxx.oracle.apps.ap.oie.server.ExtExpenseReportLinesVORowImpl
Case 2:
Tried below scenario also , but it’s also giving the incompatible exception:
public class ExtReceiptBasedLinesVOImpl extends ExtExpenseReportLinesVOImpl (As per standard functionality)
Exception Details.
oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: java.lang.ClassCastException: xxx.oracle.apps.ap.oie.server.ExtReceiptBasedLinesVOImpl incompatible with oracle.apps.ap.oie.server.ReceiptBasedLinesVOImpl at oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException.wrapperException(OAException.java:912) at oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException.wrapperException(OAException.java:886)
Any Pointers or inputs to resolve the issue will be great help.
