Failed on [nsMutableArrayObj removeAllObjects] when rintime

Hi guys.
I am facing to a little problem related NSMutableArray.
I declared NSMutableArray proprety in .h file following as :
@interface MyCustomController : UIViewController {
NSMutableArray *arrayObject;
@property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableArray *arrayObject;
And initialized it in MyAppDelegate.m
- (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(UIApplication *)application {
_myCustomController = [[MyCustomController alloc] initWithNibName"MyCustomController" bundle:nil]
_myCustomController.arrayObject = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init];
I use arrayObject in NSThread. And to pass a value in NSThread like this :
MyCustomObject *obj = [[MyCustomObject alloc] init];
[obj setObjectFor:(MyCustomObject *)[arrayObject objectAtIndex:index];
//Now use only obj
When call [arrayObject removeAllObjects] on Main Thread, crashed the application.
In the console :

What is wrong here ?
How to fix it ?
Please help me guys.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, xnav.
In order to call method that uses NSMutableArray with time interval, I am using the NSThread.
I am thinking about to use NSTimer instead of NSThread.
Because NSTimer is not a separate thread.
Can NSTimer work as a main thread ?
What do you think about it?
Thanks in advance.

    Hi hongkongpom,
    Just wanted to say that after posting the problem, I had a chat with an iTunes' Tech Support, her name is Rebekah.  My problem was resolved after that.  Will list the chat history below in hopes that it may help you as well.
    Good luck!
    Samia
    Chat Transcript
    Friday, October 4, 2013 05:55 AM
    Duration: 81 minutes 28 seconds
    Rebekah:
    Welcome to AppleCare chat support. Please give me a moment to look over your information.
    Rebekah:
    Hi, Samia! My name is Rebekah. If we get disconnected, please chat us back. http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/contactEnter the case number from the initial email we sent you. This gives the next advisor you chat with immediate access to your case history.
    Rebekah:
    Could you please confirm your serial number? I want to be sure we provide the best service possible for you, Samia!
    SAMIA:
    Sure, it's 8L8395UY2C5
    SAMIA:
    My problem is with iTunes.
    Rebekah:
    Thanks for that confirmation. Just a heads up, this is iOS Tech Support. We do support iPod touches, iPads, and iPhones, but not the iPod classic. But no worries! I can get you in touch with a phone Advisor who can get you in touch with the department that specializes in iPod classics and would be able to better assist you. Would that be OK?
    SAMIA:
    I wasn't able to install the new version of iTunes (version 11.1.1). The installation keeps failing. The they suggested the I install it manually and that failed too. I will attach the message I received.
    SAMIA:
    I don't have a problem with iPod.
    SAMIA:
    Just iTunes
    Rebekah:
    No problem! We can certainly troubleshoot iTunes as much as possible. It may come to the point that you may have to transferred, but we can do as much as possible during this chat!
    Rebekah:
    Thanks for the screenshot. It is a bit small so I am unable to fully see the message that you are receiving. What is the error message you are receiving?
    SAMIA:
    This is the message I received in case you weren't able to open the attachment: "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2324."
    Rebekah:
    Thanks for that info!
    SAMIA:
    Pleasure!
    Rebekah:
    What version of Windows (XP, Vista, 7) do you have?
    SAMIA:
    Windows 7
    SAMIA:
    Windows 7 Home Premium
    Rebekah:
    Thanks for that confirmation. I do apologize for the delay, Samia. I am researching this error code now. You mentioned trying to install iTunes manually. To be sure I am on the same page, what steps did you take to do that?
    SAMIA:
    Well when the indsatalltion failed I was given instructions to select Download Only from Tools and then install manually. When I did it, I window popped up with the following items: - AppleApplicationSupport
    SAMIA:
    - AppleMobileDeviceSupport64
    SAMIA:
    - Bonjour64
    SAMIA:
    iTunes64
    SAMIA:
    SetupAdmin
    SAMIA:
    I selected Repair in all of them instead of Remove and all worked but iTunes64
    SAMIA:
    That's when I received the message that I sent you earlier.
    SAMIA:
    By the way, this is the fir st time something like this occured. I never had problems with installation before.
    Rebekah:
    I completely understand what you're saying. Since that Repair did not resolve the issue, our best option is to uninstall iTunes and its components and redownload it. To do this, we will follow the steps in this article: Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
    Rebekah:
    First, we will want to quit iTunes and/or Apple Software Update if those are open at this time.
    SAMIA:
    Rebekah, the instructions you gave says, "For Windows XP, follow these steps to remove and reinstall iTunes and other software components for Windows XP."
    SAMIA:
    I closed all applications
    SAMIA:
    Also, my iTunes doesn't open anymore after the new failed installation.
    Rebekah:
    The section that says "For Windows XP…" is in case we opened up the wrong article, as we have the one for Windows Vista, 7, or 8. There is a link to click ("these steps") in those directions that would take us to the article for uninstalling on a Windows XP.
    Rebekah:
    So no worries! We have the right article!
    Rebekah:
    On the computer, we will want to click on Start > Control Panel. In Control Panel, we will click the "Uninstall a program" link.
    SAMIA:
    I thought so after doing a little exploration.
    SAMIA:
    done
    Rebekah:
    Alright, we'll want to select iTunes from the list of currently installed programs. Then we will click Uninstall. When asked if you would like to remove iTunes, let's click Yes.
    Rebekah:
    After the uninstallation is complete, we don't want to restart your computer if you're prompted.
    SAMIA:
    Done
    Rebekah:
    Then if you see other iTunes entries on the list, we'll want to remove them the same way.
    Rebekah:
    Then we will remove all instances of Apple Software Update the same way you removed iTunes.
    SAMIA:
    Okay, but do I have to remoce iCloud as well?
    SAMIA:
    Rebekah, I received the same error message again when uninstalling
    Rebekah:
    We actually do not need to remove iCloud. After the Apple Software Update, we will want to remove all instances of Apple Mobile Device Support
    Rebekah:
    How strange! Are you able to click past that and allow the process to continue or has it stopped it completely?
    SAMIA:
    I am unable to uninstall iTunes either
    SAMIA:
    Stopped completely
    SAMIA:
    I treied clicking Repair
    Rebekah:
    Alright, after trying the Repair option, let's see if it will allow us to continue uninstalling or not.
    SAMIA:
    I tried that but unfortunately, it isn't working. I still get that same message with error code 2324.
    Rebekah:
    This error code is not something that I am finding in my sources, Samia. So there is a chance that it is being caused with the Windows computer itself. However, I did find a link that may be able to help with uninstalling iTunes from Windows' support site: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
    SAMIA:
    Rebekah, you're a genius! It worked! iTunes is no longer there. What next?
    Rebekah:
    Awesome! I'm glad that worked!
    Rebekah:
    To be sure I am on the same page, what was the last component we uninstalled?
    SAMIA:
    iTunes
    SAMIA:
    Shall I remove the Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support, and Apple Software Update
    Rebekah:
    That is correct! However, we do want to uninstall it in the order I mentioned above. So Apple Software Update first, Apple Mobile Device Support next, and then Apple Mobile Device Support.
    SAMIA:
    Got it, but is the second one to uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support OR Apple pplication Support?
    Rebekah:
    The second one is Apple Mobile Device Support.
    Rebekah:
    The Application Support will be the last component we uninstall.
    SAMIA:
    Thanks! I'm on it.
    SAMIA:
    Done! ll 3 are gone, well 4 with iTunes. Now what?
    Rebekah:
    Awesome! Also, I just noticed that I accidentally typed Apple Mobile Device Support twice, I do apologize for any confusion! Now we will remove all instances of Bonjour and then remove all instances of Apple Application Support.
    SAMIA:
    There was only 1 instance with Bonjour. I don't know what the instances are for Apple Application Support
    Rebekah:
    Yes, Bonjour is often only listed once. Is the Apple Application Support listed at all?
    SAMIA:
    No
    SAMIA:
    Since I removed it
    Rebekah:
    Oh, perfect! If it was removed, we should be set!
    Rebekah:
    We have removed iTunes and its components now! From here, our next step is to restart the computer. Then once you reboot, you can redownload iTunes from apple.com/itunes
    Rebekah:
    That should allow you to download iTunes!
    SAMIA:
    Shall I downloaad the latest vesion?
    Rebekah:
    You will want to first restart the computer as shown in the article. That will ensure that this process goes smoothly and that everything was removed correctly! Then you can try downloading iTunes again.
    SAMIA:
    Okay, thanks Rebekah!
    Rebekah:
    You're very welcome! I'm glad I could help! And of course if you have any issue after the reboot and download, you can always chat us back, as chat is open 24 hours! You will just need to give your case number and the next Advisor would have all my notes!
    SAMIA:
    Thanks again for all your help, for I couldn't have managed with out it. Have a nice day!
    Rebekah:
    You're very welcome! I know how important iTunes is and I'm glad we could get you on a path to resolution!
    Rebekah:
    I hope you have a lovely day!
    Rebekah:
    It's been a pleasure speaking with you! Thanks for chatting with us Samia. If you don't have any more questions, select End Chat from the upper left corner of the chat window.
    SAMIA:
    Will do, thanks.

  • 'Failed to create object' when trying to open PDF attachment in Dynamics GP 10 OLE notes

    Microsoft Dynamics GP 10 users who updated to Adobe Reader X are getting errors when trying to open or create an OLE attachment on a note.
    They get 'Failed to create object' when trying to open an existing and getting 'Failed to connect.
    And " Link may be broken" when trying to create a new one.
    PDF attachments work pretty fine with previous version of Acrobat reader 7,8,9 up tp 9.4
    Now that we install Acrobat X, something has changed.
    It only does this for PDF attachments, Other file types work fine.
    I was able to remove Adobe Reader X and install a prior version to work around the issue.
    Has Adobe developed any Fix for the integration of X and OLE objects.
    regards,

    Hi Gestis,
    What version of Adobe Reader are you using?
    If its less that 10.1.2, please update it to 10.1.2 and then try to open PDF attachment inDynamcs GP OLE notes.

  • Nettr: ioctl failed: I/O error  - when configuring sun trunking

    Hello,
    I'm having a problem while trying to get sun trunking 1.3 configured. I'm getting the error, "/etc/opt/SUNWconn/bin/nettr: ioctl failed: I/O error" when executing the command, " /etc/opt/SUNWconn/bin/nettr -setup 0 device=qfe members=0,1,2,3 policy=1 lacp=p ptimer=1".
    I have an Ultra 80 with an installed qfe card. I can see the instances of the qfe in /etc/path_to_inst, and the card is currently unplumbed.
    The installation of Sun trunking 1.3 was fine and I rebooted the system prior to running the nettr command.
    Anyone seen this problem before. Any help would be appreciated.

    "If I guess correctly you are saying that in order for this to work the switch needs to support aggregation as well?"
    Yes. I had to have the four ports on my Cisco setup to accept aggregation. I believe it is because they are being presented with the same MAC address. Here are what my ports look like:

    My daughter had an update for itunes which she did. She said that there was also an update for ipod but it had told her it failed. However, now when she connects USB cord it tells her she must restore. I am assuming that it updated to IOS 6. Is she going to lose everything on the device if she goes ahead and restores it? She does not have anything backuped in the cloud as she was not aware that this update would cause this issue.

    If her iPod was backed up, she will lose the data on the iPod, but it could be restored from the backup.

    So lately I decided I was tired of Tiger, and decided I would upgrade to Leopard.  Well I made the mistake of erasing the hard drive before I made sure it would work. Well now like the installer was before it failed. And now when I boot I get the normal finder/question mark flashing folder. I also found a power Mac g4 that needs a new operating system. It's running 9.2. It's going to my grandma as a gift. I really need help.

    Is there any way to launch java application without using java cache?

    1) Without changing the location I assumed that deleting the cached files could be a similar job, so I clicked "Delete Files..." and deleted with all checkboxes checked.I am not convinced that would entirely clear the cache, but have done no specific tests to check.
    2) I unchecked "Keep temporary files on my computer".So it was checked when you were trying to change the cache location?
    3) Applied all the changes.
    4) I launched your demo.
    Result - It was launched without any prompt.
    I revisited the page with the URL and successfully launched the app. again.The application launched just fine, but no prompt.
    If you follow those (links and) steps I outlined exactly, does the file service demo launch twice for you?I'm sorry I don't exactly understand your question. .. Your description is enough to convince me that answer is 'yes'.
    ..I tried twice and it launched twice, but not twice at the same time(it launched once at a time).Surprise, surprise. That is the first mention in this thread of 'same time'/'simultaneously'. Care to share the other defining factors that you forgot to mention, or is guessing part of the 'fun' of helping?
    But still I'm having problems with launching my application.
    I assume that it could be jnlp syntax problem. The "main=true" subelement is missing.It is a good idea to validate the launch files of JWS based launches that are failing for any reason. For that purpose, I offer JaNeLA.
    Having said that, a missing main='true' will not be detected by JaNeLA, since it is not a compulsory attribute. ..But check them anyway.

  • SSTP VPN fails with Error 0x80092013 when certificate is issued by an Enterprise CA

    I have spent several days trying to configure an SSTP VPN in an environment with a 2008R2 Enterprise CA server without much luck. I have been using the example found at   http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731352(v=ws.10).aspx which
    works very well as long as you configure the CA Extensions tab with an http CRL Distribution point that is included in the CRLs and CDP extension of issued certificates and is available to the client prior to VPN connection.
    Basically my lab environment is as follows:
    Separate 2008R2 domain controller, Single 2008R2 Enterprise CA / RRAS server with one nic. I know the instructions that I mentioned above use an RRAS server with 2 nics but I don't want my RRAS server serving as a router. I have an external hardware firewall
    that port forwards port 443 to my single nic in my RRAS server and this entire configuration works fine as long as I am using a standard CA configuration. The RRAS was configured using the custom option and only VPN was chosen. Since my RRAS server is behind
    a NAT router, the dns name my external client uses to connect is different than the internal name of my RRAS server.
    In the example above, a Windows 2008R2 CA server is configured as a standalone non-enterprise root CA. As long as I stick with a standard CA, I have no problem and everything works.
    My problem is that if I configure my Windows Server 2008R2 Enterprise server as an Enterprise Root CA, My Windows 7 client always gets an "Error 0x80092013 The revocation function was unable to check revocation because the revocation server was offline."
    I'm not certain, but I think the problem is with the way that I request the certificate for my RRAS server. When I configure a standalone standard root CA and use the web enrollment page and use an Advanced Certificate Request, I get a page that I can use
    to fill out the external dns name that I use to connect to SSTP, choose a Server Authentication Certificate,  choose to mark keys as exportable and submit my request. Once I install this key in the Certificates (local computer) / Personal / Certificates
    store, everything works and my client can connect as long as I have installed the root CA certificate on my client.
    When I install my CA as an Enterprise Root CA server, everything changes. I no longer have the same options to install a custom certificate. Instead of getting the same page as I do with a standard CA, I get my choice of Certificate Templates. Prior to this,
    I have duplicated the Computer template in the CA authority and configured the subject name to "supply in request" and configured my CA to issue it. I have tried issuing my RRAS SSTP certificate using the web enrollment and I have also tried using the certificates
    plugins in mmc to request custom certificates and tried using an alternative subject name, filling out the DNS option with my external dns name.
    When it is all said and done, I end up with an RRAS SSTP certificate that has CRL Distribution Points defined as URL=http://www.mywebsite/CertEnroll/myCA.crl and it is available to my client or anyone. I have compared the certificate issued by an Enterprise
    CA vs the Standard CA and I find little difference in the two. I also know that I can reach this RRAS SSTP certificate from my client by going to  https://myexternaladdress.mydomain.com/sra_{BA195980-CD49-458b-9E23-C84EE0ADCD75}/and
    I can view the padlock in IE and view my internal RRAS certificate. The CRL Distribution point looks no different when I have a standard vs an Enterprise CA but my client always fails with the Error 0x80092013 when I have issued the RRAS SSTP certificate
    with the Enterprise CA.
    I have probably re-setup this lab about 20 times and am getting very familiar with getting it set up quickly and working with the standard CA but I want to use an Enterprise CA environment.
    What am I missing? How can I make this work with an Enterprise CA? How can I troubleshoot this?
    Thanks,
    Rod

    Thanks for  your reply. I did read the article and addressed that issue in the first part of my previous post. I don't think that the website where I am hosting my CRL has directory browsing permissions or that I have the ability to set them but the
    point of my question was everything works using that same public website when I use a standard CA to create my certificate but does NOT work when I create the certificate using an Enterprise CA.

  • CryptAcquireContext failing with ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND (2L) when user not logged on Windows 8.1

    I am having a hard time migrating a C++ CryptoAPI-based application that currently runs on Windows Server 2008 to Windows 8.1. The scenario is:
    This application is eventually triggered by WatchDog.exe, which in its turn is triggered when the computer is started by Windows' Task Scheduler.
    Task Scheduler uses the following rules to start the WatchDog.exe:
    A Administrator User Account;
    Run Whether user is logged on or not;
    UNCHECKED: Do not store password. The task will only have access to local resources;
    Run with Highest Privileges;
    Configure for Win 8.1;
    Triggered at system startup.
    The server sits there, nobody logged, until in a given scenario WatchDog.exe starts the application. Application log confirms that the owner of the process (GetUserName)
    is the very same user Task Scheduler used to trigger WatchDog.exe.
    It turns out that this application works fine in Windows Server 2008, but in windows 8.1 a call to CryptAcquireContext fails
    with return code ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND (2L). The odd thing is that the application will NOT fail if, when started, the user is physically logged
    on the machine, although it was not the user who started the application manually.
    I took a look at the documentation and
    found:
    "The profile of the user is not loaded and cannot be found. This happens when the application impersonates a user, for example, the IUSR_ComputerName account."
    I had never heard of impersonification, so I made a research and found the APIs LogonUser,ImpersonateLoggedOnUser and RevertToSelf.
    I then updated the application in this way:
    HANDLE hToken;
    if (! LogonUser(L"admin", L".", L"XXXXXXXX", LOGON32_LOGON_BATCH, LOGON32_PROVIDER_DEFAULT, &hToken))
    logger->log (_T("Error logging on."));
    else
    logger->log (PMLOG_LEVEL_TRACE, _T("Logged on."));
    if (! ImpersonateLoggedOnUser(hToken))
    logger->log (_T("Error impersonating."));
    else
    logger->log (_T("Impersonated."));
    err = XXXXXXXXX(); // calls function which will execute CryptAcquireContext
    if (! RevertToSelf())
    logger->log (_T("Error reverting."));
    else
    logger->log (_T("Reverted."));
    Excerpt with the call to CryptAcquireContext:
    // Get the handle to the default provider.
    if(! CryptAcquireContext(&hCryptProv, cryptContainerName, MS_ENHANCED_PROV, PROV_RSA_FULL, 0))
    DWORD e = GetLastError();
    _stprintf_s (logMsg, 1000, _T("Error %ld acquiring cryptographic provider."), e);
    cRSALogger->log (logMsg);
    return ERR_CCRYPT_NO_KEY_CONTAINER;
    cRSALogger->log (_T("Cryptographic provider acquired."));
    As the result, I got the log:
    [2015/01/08 20:53:25-TRACE] Logged on.
    [2015/01/08 20:53:25-TRACE] Impersonated.
    [2015/01/08 20:53:26-ERROR] Error 2 acquiring cryptographic provider.
    [2015/01/08 20:53:26-TRACE] Reverted.
    That seems to show that impersonation is working properly, but still I get Error 2 (ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) on CryptAcquireContext.
    Summary:
    On Windows Server 2008, the very same application runs properly even without the calls to LogonUser/Impersonate/Revert.
    On Windows 8.1, the application, with or without the calls to LogonUser/Impersonate/Revert, will only work properly if the user is logged on (which
    is not acceptable).
    Any thoughts where I can run to in order to get this working on windows 8.1?
    Thank in advance,
    Dan

    There are a couple of issues.
    Based on the parameters being used in CryptAcquireContext().  A profile needs to be loaded and your app has to be running as the same user who created the keyset. (which is why it works when a user is logged on Windows 8.1) Also, impersonation
    does not load your user profile, you need to call LoadUserProfile().  It seems like you should be using a machine keyset for your scenario if you want to do this when nobody is logged on.
    Take a look at the following KB article for more information.

  • Copying a table with the right-click menu in schema browser fails to copy comments when string has single quote(s) (ascii chr(39))

    Hi,
    I'm running 32-bit version of SQL Developer v. 3.2.20.09 build 09.87, and I used the built in context menu (right-clicking from the schema browser) today to copy a table.  However, none of the comments copied.  When I dug into the PL/SQL that the menu-item is using, I realized that it fails because it doesn't handle single quotes within the comment string.
    For example, I have a table named WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT that I wanted to copy as WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT_V1 (within same schema name)
    1. I right-clicked on the object in the schema browser and selected Table > Copy...
    2. In the pop-up Copy window, I entered the new table name "WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT_V1" and ticked the box for "Include Data" option.  -- The PL/SQL that the menu-command is using is in the "SQL" tab of this window.  This is what I extracted later for testing the issue after the comments did not copy.
    Result: Table and data copied as-expected, but no column or table comments existed.
    I examined the PL/SQL block that the pop-up window issued, and saw this:
    declare
      l_sql varchar2(32767);
      c_tab_comment varchar2(32767);
      procedure run(p_sql varchar2) as
      begin
         execute immediate p_sql;
      end;
    begin
    run('create table "BI_ETL".WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT_V1 as select * from "BI_ETL"."WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT" where '||11||' = 11');
    select comments into c_tab_comment from sys.all_TAB_comments where owner = 'BI_ETL' and table_name = 'WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT' and comments is not null;
    run('comment on table BI_ETL.WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT_V1 is '||''''||c_tab_comment||'''');
    for tc in (select column_name from sys.all_tab_cols where owner = 'BI_ETL' and table_name = 'WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT')
        loop
       for c in (select comments from sys.all_col_comments where owner = 'BI_ETL' and table_name = 'WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT' and column_name=tc.column_name)
       loop
       run ('comment on column BI_ETL.WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT_V1.'||tc.column_name||' is '||''''||c.comments||'''');
    end loop;
    end loop;
    EXCEPTION
      WHEN OTHERS THEN NULL;
    end;
    The string of the table comment on WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT is this:
    WBIG table of frozen, point-in-time snapshots of Enrolled Students by Category/term/pidm. "Category" is historically, and commonly, our CENSUS snapshot; but, can also describe other frequencies, or categorizations, such as: End-of-Term (EOT), etc. Note: Prior to this table existing, Census-snapshots were stored in SATURN.SNAPREG_ALL. All FALL and SPRING term records prior-to-and-including Spring 2013 ('201230') have been migrated into this table -- EXCEPT a few select prior to Fall 2004 (200410) records where there are duplicates on term/pidm. NO Summer snapshots existed in SNAPREG_ALL, but were queried and stored retroactively (including terms prior to Spring 2013) for the purpose of future on-going year-over-year analysis and comparison.
    Note the single quotes in the comment: ... ('201230')
    So, in the above PL/SQL line 11 grabs this string into "c_tab_comment", but then line 12 fails because of the single quotes.  It doesn't know how to end the string because the single quotes in the string are not "escaped", and this messes up the concatenation on line 12.  (So, then no other column comments are created either because the block throws an error, and goes to line 22 for the exception and exits.)
    When I modify the above PL/SQL as my own anonymous block like this, it is successful:
    declare
      c_tab_comment VARCHAR2(32767);
    begin
    SELECT REPLACE(comments,chr(39),chr(39)||chr(39)) INTO c_tab_comment FROM sys.all_TAB_comments WHERE owner = 'BI_ETL'   AND table_name = 'WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT'  AND comments IS NOT NULL;
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'comment on table BI_ETL.WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT_V1 is '''||c_tab_comment||'''';
    for tc in (select column_name from sys.all_tab_cols where owner = 'BI_ETL' and table_name = 'WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT')
        loop
       for c in (select REPLACE(comments,chr(39),chr(39)||chr(39)) comments from sys.all_col_comments where owner = 'BI_ETL' and table_name = 'WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT' and column_name=tc.column_name)
       loop
       EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'comment on column BI_ETL.WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT_V1.'||tc.column_name||' is '||''''||c.comments||'''';
    end loop;
    end loop;
    EXCEPTION
      WHEN OTHERS THEN NULL;
    end;
    On lines 4 and 8 I wrapped the "comments" from sys.all_tab_comments and sys.all_col_comments with a replace command finding every chr(39) and replacing with chr(39)||chr(39). (On line 8 I also had to alias the wrapped column as "comments" so line 10 would succeed.)
    Is this an issue with SQL Developer? Is there any chance that the menu-items can handle single quotes in comment strings? ... And, of course this makes me wonder which other context menu commands in the tool might have a similar issue.
    Thoughts?
    thanks//jacob

    I know about quick drop, but it isn't helpful here. I want to be able to right click on a string or array wire, navigate to the string or array palette, and select the corresponding "Empty?" comparator. In this case, since I do actually know where those functions live, and I'm already using my mouse to right click on the wire, typing ctrl-space to open quick drop and then typing in the function name is actually more work than navigating to it in the palette. It would just be nice to have it on hand in the location I naturally go to look for it the first time.
    I don't agree with this work flow.  Right hand on mouse, left hand on home keys.  Pressing CTRL + Space is done with the left hands, and then you could assign "ea" to "Empty Array" both of which is accessible with the left hand.  Darren posted a bunch of great shortcuts for the right handed developer.
