After I use "primaryStage.initStyle(StageStyle.UNDECORATED);" or "StageStyle.TRANSPARENT", I found stage can not be minimized to task bar(when click the task bar).

Hey,
I want to run a LabVIEW Application (EXE File, LabVIEW 8.2) everytimes in backgrund. Frontpanel should visible only on activation. After minimize application only a small icon (not the large Task Button!) should visible on right corner of Task Bar. Is that possible by a LabVIEW Application?
Thank's in advance.
Kind regards

The right corner of the Task Bar is called System Tray.
This can be done with G Toolbox -> Systray Icon VIs:

• Unpin from Task bar AFTER program is deleted

I have a situation where I am trying to use PowerShell to Unpin a shortcut from the task bar after the program has been deleted. The shortcut has been renamed (from the idiotic name Autodesk used to start with) and thus it is orphaned after uninstall because
Windows doesn't manage these things gracefully. The code I am using uses the common approach of digging into the shortcut to extract the Verbs array, and then assigned the Unpin verb to $Verb and then does a $Verb.DoIt(). But of course the the target no longer
exists, so there is no Verbs object to dig a Verb out of.
I have found the various related posts, and there are issues
1: Deleting the reg key and losing all pinned items is a no go. I am removing one piece of software, and I want to remove that shortcut and no others.
2: I know I can do this manually, but my whole goal is automation, and the fact that I CAN do it manually suggests there should be a way to do it with PowerShell.
3: I have tried getting the Verb from the shortcut as well, but it seems like the shortcut really is just a passthrough to the Target, so no target, no Verb from the shortcut.
4: I have also tried just deleting the shortcut file from User\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar, but that leaves an even more orphaned shortcut on the task bar, that not only doesn't have a target, it doesn't
even have an icon, just a white "page".
So, how does one get to whatever Verbs are being accessed when doing this manually? Is there some way to apply a generic Verb?
Gordon

Okay so after some digging i found a way for you to do it but the best way i have found is using the actual user rights. I tested this out as a login script that ran before the user even saw their desktop.
The task bar has a registry key that has to be cleared and when explorer is started the key gets created based on the items listed in the directory the shortcuts are stored. If you have any issues let me know.

• Why does the 'Downloads' gives me a full page which I can not just minimize to the task bar.

I'm running Firefox 34.05 as opposed to what the data will say (34.0)
Lately, when I press the 'Downloads' in Tools, I get a full page as if it is a new tab. I use to have a small block that I could minimize to the task bar. Is there something I can do to restore it to it former glorious self?
As a secondary question which seemed to happen at the same time comes this question. now when I download a clip it does not appear in the Download (now) page. It still downloads but I can not view it download, stop the download or even go to where it was downloaded. Any help would be appreciated.

Normally Tools > Downloads or Ctrl+j launches the Library dialog and displays the Downloads section (the Library dialog also shows History and Bookmarks). Regarding the size of the window, it could be that you used the dialog to view history or bookmarks and enlarged it. Firefox doesn't remember the size separately for the 3 different lists.
On the second point, since you have a few different downloaders, I'm not sure which one is malfunctioning, or maybe there's a conflict between them. You might check their pages on the Add-ons site to see if reviews or support information reports the same issue and mentions any workarounds.

• After Firefox has been on for awhile, the Firefox tabs on the task bar disappear even though the pages are still running. I have to use Ctrl+Tab to fix it

I have started using Firefox recently. My computer is running XP. I notice that whether I have one Firefox window or multiple windows open, after awhile the Firefox tabs on the bottom task bar just disappear.
In order to get them back I have to use Ctrl+Tab to select each window one at a time and then they re-appear again on the task bar. Then after awhile they will disappear again.

Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings and disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
(If you're using an added theme, switch to the Default theme.)
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu by clicking on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item:<br>

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
* On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
* On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode <br>(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)

• When I open a new Word Document, it minimizes it to the task bar at bottom and when I go to maximize , it disappears to the left of the screen. What is wrong?

I open a new Microsoft Word Document and it immediately minimizes to the task bar at the bottom of the screen. When I go to maximize the document, it "disappears" immediately to the left going off the screen.
I am having the same problems with emails when I try to forward or create new emails. They will not hold long enough for me to write on them - they disappear off the screen.

How is that related to Firefox support?

• When i click on exe the thing loads to the task bar and will not go to the desktop the desktop even after clicking on

when i click on the firefox exe it loads my home page but will not load to the desktop it stays in the task bar and when i put the cursor over it i can see the the page is loaded but when i try to get it to pop onto the desktop nothing happens uninstall it an did a reinstalled same prob did a repair same problem did a system restore and sill no desktop having to use google chrome and i hate itbold text

Alright, well let's try this then.
Restart your computer. After you restart your PC, let's try starting Firefox up in Safe Mode. Read this article to see how to start in Safe Mode. If Firefox starts up normally, then this is likely a problem with your extensions, so we will need to disable them one by one (or disable them all and re-enable them one by one) to figure out the offender.
Another thing is please update to Firefox 11 (go to www.getfirefox.com to download it since you can't get Firefox open to update). It does have some bug fixes that might help your problem.

• I have Firefox pinned to the Task bar in Windows 7. After upgrading to Firefox 9 when I open firefox I get an extra firefox icon in my task bar while having firefox open. It used to show as being open on the icon that is pinned to the task bar.

* Installed Firefox 9
* I am running Windows 7 64-bit
* I have Firefox pinned to the task bar.
* When Firefox opens, there is a new icon that opens up on the task bar. Normally, Firefox would open within the icon that is pinned to the task bar.
* When I close Firefox, the extra icon goes away.
* Firefox is acting like the icon that is pinned to the task bar is not even there.

Before attempting the steps below, I would highly suggest you visit the latest known issues for the current version, specifically FF 9 release notes.

1. Unpin the old firefox icon
2. Go to c:\Program File (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\
3. Double click on "firefox.exe" (FF window & icon will appear in supertaskbar)
4. Pin this new icon by right clicking > Pin to Taskbar (Firefox Icon turns into whitebox)
5. Make sure that you see the hidden folders
windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Show-hidden-files
6. Go to C:\Users\%yourusername%\AppData\Local
7. Delete "IconCache.db"

• Help!  I'm stuck on the Task Bar and I can't get up!

I recently upgraded to Premiere Elements 8, and now I can start the program but as soon as I open a project the window minimizes to the task bar.  I can not restore the window to show-up on the screen.  The Organizer works OK, and the Adobe startup window show-up OK.  Even the Premiere Elements window will show-up while it's loading a project, but as soon as the project is loaded... it hides down on the task bar.  It was working fine just after I installed it.  It's been a couple of weeks since I ran it last.  I have installed the 8.0.1 update.  What a tease!
I've attached a couple of images of the program on the task bar just in case this helps.  My system is Window 7 Ultimate.  I have two 24" displays (both working fine), lots of memory and disk space, and it's a Dell XPS 9000 box.
Please let me know how to coax my beloved Premiere Elements out of hiding!

Hi Steve -- Thanks for your quick response.  I do have the 64-bit version installed on the C drive as shown in the screen  snippet below. The reference to the D drive in my earlier post was to the Premiere project file, which I dont keep on my system drive.  You've also suggested that I update my video driver, which I confirmed was up to date (as per snapshot below).
You questions got me poking however, and I think I've found a way to circumvent the problem (which looks ilke a bug to me).  Apparently, the Welcome window always launches the Premiere editor in maximized mode.  When you subsequently open (a new or existing) project, the window resizes to the size that it was when you last used it.  When I was experiencing the problem, this size was "minimized on the task bar forever".
To get around this, I used the settings menu on the top right of the Welcome window to set the option "Always Launch Premiere Elements Editor behind the Welcome Screen".  This show the editor window maximized, but it allows me to resize the editor window in the normal way, before I open a project.  Now when I subsequently opened a project file, the editor window did not dive into the Task Bar!
Moreover, on subsequent launches the Welcome window still shows the editor window maximized, but the auto resize after opening a project now uses the size that I manually set in my manual sizing procedure in the above paragraph.  For me it's fixed!!
Perhaps the context that provokes the bug is that I never set a non-maximized size for the editor, and the auto resize gets confused about the desired size of the editor window?
-- Thanks, Ole Pa

• Firefox opens, and preview shows when hover on the task bar link, but the window will not maximize, or show up at any size on my screen (Windows 7) Help?!

I am running Windows 7 and just updated Firefox to the 7.0 version. I can open Firefox, in the sense that I can run the application. I can see that it is open because the link shows up on my task bar, and when I hover over it I can see the thumbnail preview - which, incidentally says "You're almost there!"; but I can not open the window! I have tried clicking once on the task bar link, and once again (just in case I was clicking to minimize instead of maximize). I have tried double clicking the shortcuts on my desktop, then the one in my program files, as well as the one in my start menu, and the static one pinned to my task bar. I have tried accessing Firefox from every path available on my computer and I can open it every time, but *never* not even once have I been able to view it on my screen. I can't understand what would cause this and maybe I'm just an idiot but can anybody help me... please? Oh, and I don't know if it makes any difference, but I did try restoring 6.0 and I re installed 7.0 again, all to the same end... Many thanks to anyone willing to help me fix this!

-> Run as Administrator
-> right-click Firefox icon and choose Properties
* go to Compatibility tab
* click Use Resolution 640x480 pixels
* click OK and start Firefox
-> Firefox will now start but you should be able to change the size of the window.
* Close Firefox and now Uncheck the 640x480 resolution
* Start Firefox again and now all should be fine
Check and tell if its working.
