File Read - Logical Error (I Guess!)

I am stuck to the logic here;
I have my code;

RandomAccessFile fileHandler = null;
try
fileHandler = new RandomAccessFile(File, "r");
long fileLength = File.length() - 1;
StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder();
for (long filePointer = fileLength; filePointer != -1; filePointer--)
fileHandler.seek(filePointer);
int readByte = fileHandler.readByte() ;
if (readByte == 0xA)
if (filePointer == fileLength)
continue;
else
if (!StringUtils.isEmpty(sb.toString().trim()))
break;
else if (readByte == 0xD)
if (filePointer == fileLength - 1)
continue;
else
if (!StringUtils.isEmpty(sb.toString().trim()))
break;
sb.append((char) readByte);
String lastLine = sb.reverse().toString();
return lastLine;
catch (java.io.FileNotFoundException e)
throw e;
catch (java.io.IOException e)

finally
fileHandler.close();
and i use it as a function...
my problem is yes i can get the last line of the text file bu unfortunately i can not get the upper one.
Does anyone have an idea? How to read not the last one but one upper line from the last line?

Well you break out of the loop and return after you find one line
if (!StringUtils.isEmpty(sb.toString().trim()))
          break;So try not doing that. Count the lines and quit when you have read the number of lines you want.
