File to RFC synchronous scenario stopped Picking the files

Hi Experts,
We have a File to RFC synchronous scenario. Till yesterday night it is working fine.
But suddenly it is stooped working. In moni, i can see the failed messages with the Mapping error " Can not create target element, values missing in the queue context "
No Payload in moni / communication channel monitoring / Message monitoring. I've noticed that, wrong files placed in the To-be- processed files and the adapter picked those files and failed in mapping.
I tried by stop and start the communication channel / did some dummy changes in the communication channel and activated. cleared the cache.
But still the communication channel is not working.when i stop and start the communication channel it will try to process the wrong files and failed.
Give me your valuable inputs to resolve this issue.
Regards
Bhargava krishna

Hi Bharghav,
Please go through the below,
Symptom
FTP Adapter is being used in the business scenario for message processing.
During file processing it is noticed, that the FTP sender channel stops
polling. There is no error in the channel monitor or the trace/log files
and the polling jobs are correctly displayed in the AFW scheduler table.
The issue is observed after a network connection issue with the FTP server.
In order to remove the hanging locks from the FTP Adapter, the parameter
'ftp.timeout' setting is required to be set, which releases the lock once
the timeout value is expired. But in the above situation, the value for the
'ftp.timeout' is not taken properly while establishing the data connection
by File Adapter.
Other terms
FTP Adapter, sender, FTP, adapter, timeout, stalled, network, hang, polling
Reason and Prerequisites
Program error
Solution
The hanging situation has now been improved by code changes. Please see
section "SP Patch Level" of this note for a list of updated software
components.
To get this correction available in your Support Package you need to apply
the patch matching to your Support Package version as per the instructions
in the NetWeaver Support Package Stack guide which can be found on the SAP
Service Marketplace as described in SAP Note 952402.
Thanks & Regards

  • File to RFC synchronous scenario

    Hello Friends,
I have a file to RFC scenario.
Sender is sending file synchronously and based on conditions within file i have to make call to various ECC instances and returning responses.
I am using BPMmulticastparallel. Implemented conditional receiver determination and the correlation.
Does anyone have such scenario example.
    Kindly share.

  • How to find which communication channel is picking the file

    Hi
Can any one tell me, how can i  find which communication channel is picking the file from the source directory?
I have a file scenario. File is coming to directory but it disappears even after I STOP the communication channel, I am using for this scenario
I want to find out which communication channel is picking the file.
    How can i do it?

    Hi,
    you can try this:
Go to Communication Channel monitoring in Runtime Workbench.
Select all file adapters and check cluster node for each Channel. If the file is picked by the channel you will see processing details or errors related to channel here.
Since as you say the message is not seen in sxmb_moni then the communicaition channel would be red. Files that are picked from directories but not visible in sxmb_moni are usually in error at channel level.
    Hope this helps.

  • PI is not able to pick the file from the FTP folder

This is the FILE TO IDOC scenario. We have configured the file adapter. But its not able to pick the file from the specified directory. We have tried changing the transfer mode from Binary to Txt & also we have tried to put advance selection for source file but it didn't work. Its throwing the below error:
    PI Adapter Log:
An error occurred while connecting to the FTP server '10.130.150.21:8529'. The FTP server returned the following error message: 'com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 451 Unexpected reply coderequested action aborted: local error in processing'. For details, contact your FTP server vendor.
Also we have contacted the FTP team & they told that PI is sending an unsupported command. So instead of taking the file TLOG.txt, its treating this file name a s a directory. Please find the logs from FTP end below:

It should list  *TLOG.txt*  but instead it is trying to get into a directory named  *TLOG.txt*.  same for other interface.
So me & my team is struggling for last couple of days to fix this issue. Please share your suggestion

    Hi Sisir
The screen shot of your config doesn't seem to correspond to the FTP log. I say this because the * is dropped from file name pattern "*TLOG.txt" (comparing your config and the FTP log). Can you share an updated FTP log?

Also, like Rajesh suggested, have you tried to manually check permissions by logging in, traversing the directory, and getting the file?
By the way, we always use backslash \ instead of forward slash in our configs. Not sure this would make any difference for you though. Also, I don't normally use a trailing \ at the end of the source directory path.

  • Error in picking the file from folder

If I have 100 files in a folder, if XI comes and picking the files from the folder, while picking 50 files connection was lost in between and they are remaining 50 files are there to pick, in this scenario what happens after connection established XI will collect remaining 50 files or again it starts from first.
Can anyone answer this question with explanation.

This depends on what you have configure in
Processing parameters for File Sender communication channel:
    Processing mode:
    1. Archive : if you have set processing Mode as Archive then after reading the file, PI will transfer the file to Archive dir mentioned and will not consider in future for reading.
    2. Delete : if you have set processing Mode as Delete, Then after reading the file PI will delete the file from FTP.
    3. Test : If you have set processing Mode as Test ,then PI will keep the file as it is after reading so it will read the same file in future.
    Thanks

  • B2b unable to pick the file from xml gateway

    Hi All,
I am taking a scenario where B2B picks the files from xml gateway and drop the files in FTP folder. I modified the XML gateway inbound and outbound, i has given my user credentials(unmae, host ,pwd ,sid, port). In agreement in the place of internal delivery channel i has given XML gateway outbound.
Still its unable to pick the files from xml gateway.
    Clarify my understanding please
While b2b picks the files from xml gateway, It will pick from ECX_Inbound or ECX_Outbound?

  • File Adapter as Sender not picking the files

We configured the File Adapter as Sender, Transport Protocol =NSF and message protocol as FCC.
In OS we have folder to read the file, but SAP XI unable to read the file.
To trouble shoot this issue we copied that file into another location and reverted back to the same location then XI File adaptor is able to read the file.
Now we have compared the Attributes of the path
the only difference in file attributes

    CCSID 819 (decimal)

Notes Related CCSID with euro is 923

    Description MS Windows, Latin-1
Notes CCSID for this code page with euro is 5348
We have tried to chage the File type as Text and File Encoding with ISO-8859-1even then its not picking the files.
Please suggest me where i am doing wrong here
    Thanks,
    Venkat.

    Hi,
Check the file path & file name , Check  the processing mode parameter which you have set?
Check the folder properties & provide all the permission ...
Finally check the communication channel status in RWB, If the problem persist try to stop & start the communication channel again..
    Hope it helps...

    Kumar.

  • Sender file adapter is not picking the file from windows server

    Hi Experts,
We have a sender file adapter running on Unix server. Now we have changed the source directory path from Unix to Windows in file access parameters.  It is not picking the files from windows directory and not showing any error.
In this scenario, input file for sender adapter is *.xml and no content conversion.
Could any one please let me know is there anything needs to changed in file adapter.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sridhar. M

    Sridhar,
What do you have in the directory path?
If it is a shared drive in unix then the directory in windows should also be a shared drive from XI system. Else if it is FTP check the address.

  • FILE to SOAP synchronous scenario - config of SOAP channel

    Hi All,
I have a scenario where I want PI to pull some files from 3rd party application.
Adapters to be used: SOAP receiver, FILE adapters.
I am aware of the use of Request/Response beans in File sender channel and the File receiver channel to dump the received files in a particular location.
I need help with the configuration of the SOAP channel.
The files to be pulled will be Encrypted.
    Summary:
File sender(RequestResponse & ResponseOneWay Beans) , File receiver( to receive the files), SOAP receiver.
Need help with the config of SOAP.
Kindly let me know your views.
    Thanks,
    Pratibha.

    Hi,
Let me put it in detail steps:
In forward flow we will be sending an IDoc. It will be processed and later an Acknowledgement file will be generated.
Now, we want to PULL this Ack file. If the other party had to push the Ack file, the scenario would have been simple.
But, we want to poll for this file and then pull it.
So, we would have something like this:
    1. FILE SENDER sends a sample file.
    2. We will be applying the beans in file sender to make it a synchronous scenario. So, the Ack file will be received at the location mentioned in the corresponding FILE RECEIVER adapter.
    3. We have a SOAP RECEIVER which should send the ACK file in response.
I have configured the same scenario where the RECEIVER was HTTP adapter. The 3rd party had provided us the URL and ENT-APRF value. When I used to send the sample file via FILE SENDER to this HTTP receiver, I was able to retrieve the ACK file via the FILE RECEIVER.
Now, I wish to configure the same using RECEIVER SOAP adapter.
I need to know about the config at SOAP end i.e. how and where  the ACK file will be available at the SOAP end for the FILE sender to pull the file.
    Ack files will be encrypted..
Any views/suggestions will be of great help.
    Thanks,
    Pratibha.

  • Sender File adapter not picking the file ABCD.PRN extension file

    Hi
Am doing File to Abap Proxy scenario. My source will be in text format of fixed length of fileds 7.
My souce file will be generated by a third party machine with the extension EEE150809.PRN. In my scenario my file adapter should pick the file and update the same in ECC via a Proxy.
I have configured the Sender File adapter with Message Protocol -  Content Conversion but file adapter is not picking the file. I have checked the Communication channel and status is fine. But the same Communication Channel works for .XML file.
What are the parameters that I have to consider with the file extension .PRN using File adapter?
    Thanks.
    S.

    Hi Swarna,
You dont need to worry about the extension when picking the file. You can try using EEE* so that is picks all the files starting with EEE. If you have the fixed name then you can try giving EEE150809.*. Also EEE150809.PRN should not have any issue. Try to see in sender commu ication cahnnel for anyerrors. Probably there might be some network issues or authorisation issues. If you are reading with NFS then ask them to give necessary permissions. If you are reading through FTP check the user id and pwd you are using.

  • Xml validation in File to RFC Sync Scenario with Validation fails message

    Hi All,
We are using PI 7.4 (Dual Stack) the Requirement is File to RFC Sync Scenario(File <---> RFC).and need to do XML validation against XSD Schema. if any Validations fails Response message should send back to sender.RequestResponseBean standard module is using for File to RFC Sync scenario but how to send the response message to sender if any validation fails. adapter level XML validation is not helpful for this requirement. please help out me how to achieve the requirement with graphical mapping.
    Thanks in advance.

to validate schema you cannot solve it with graphical mapping but validating the schema in the AAE or the integration engine.
y recomend you to use the AAE validation at sender side, coz the sender system will be notified in case of schema errors.
The response will be validated at Integration Server level.
you can search in the forum, you will get many document about how to configure it.
take a look to my blog: PI 7.3  - XML Validation

  • Reg: Sender File Adapter - Picking the files serially

    Hi Folks
I have a requirement where I require help from you with you valuable suggestions/solutions. Requirement is :
    1.  Two different folders(folder1 & Folder2) at sender system, PI has to pick the files from Folder 1 and needs to process to target.
    2. Exactly after 30min duration PI has to pick the files from the second folder i.e., from Folder 2.
    Conditions are :
    i)  Only after processing the files from Folder 1 PI should process the files from Folder2(after 30min).
ii) We might have many files(approx 10 - 15files) in each folder, PI must poll all the file in the folder in a single poll(i.e., without any delay).
Please suggest me what could be the best solution for this, either to create two communication channels or can we handle it using a single communication channel.
    Kindly suggest.

    Hi Suman,
The easieiet way is to use single communication channel to pick up all the files from the first folder.  Then run a unix script in after processing column where it will check for any files to be picked by xi in folder1 and then proceed with transferring files from folder2 to target.
By this, you are making the scenario simple and realistic.
There are other alternatives like using two communication channels and the only hurdle will be the timing to check whether the folder1 files have been completely picked up or not.
    Regards
    Krish.

  • File to Proxy synchronous scenario

    Experts,
I am working on a File to proxy synchronous scenario.
I am doing the content conversion at the sendre side by using java program as  input structure is very complex so have to go fr java code. Its a  txt file at sender side.
Once I read the file in XI, am doing a graphical mapping ( just one to one mapping)  then using the server proxy , a service entry is getting created then response am sending to the receiver.
My question is , can I use graphical mapping as I am using a java class for content conversion? both in one scenario is possible?
I have developed a java code  for content conversion and it is working fine. How to use this .jar file in XI?
Can Any one help me wz thsi one?
    Thanks in Advance
    Virendra

My question is , can I use graphical mapping as I am using a java class for content conversion?
You can use as long as the structure generatde by the JAVA program is same as the source-message structure of the message mapping.
I have developed a java code for content conversion and it is working fine. How to use this .jar file in XI?
In my opinion this should be the adapter module....as the conversion needs to be done in the channel and inclucing it as a mapping wont help.

    Abhishek.

Looks like there is some mapping problems ,may be the RFC connection is not properly configured .Here is the link to configure the connection between ECC and PI :
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/ConnectionSettingsbetweenECCandPIsystem
May be there is no value retrieved from the ECC system so it is saying null value.
For proper configuration check you can refer the following blog:
    /people/community.user/blog/2006/12/12/http-to-rfc--a-starter-kit
I am a beginner so not the full answer is there but may be this would help you.
