Financial Reporting - Exporting Batch for Command Line Scheduling Issue

Financial Reporting 11.1.2.2
When I export, a successfully run scheduled batch, for command line scheduling the xml file that is exported only has the following information in it. I think that it is missing alot of information.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong, if anything?
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
<JOB_OBJECT OBJECT_ID="0">
<DATA_SOURCE_USER_CREDENTIALS DS_PASSWD="" DS_USER_NAME=""/>
<HR_USER_CREDENTIALS HR_PASSWD="" HR_USER_NAME=""/>

<MHTM VALUE="No"/>
<PDF EXPORT_PDF_FOLDER_LABEL="" VALUE="Yes"/>
<SAVE_AS_SNAPSHOT VALUE="No"/>
<PRINT VALUE="No"/>
</OUTPUT_OPTIONS>
</JOB_OBJECT>

Hi again,
I am not sure if you can extract the formatting to Excel... I had also issues.
Can you please try to retrieve the report into Excel via Smartview? Check page 136 of  http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E40248_01/epm.1112/smart_view_user.pdf

    1. Navigate to Workspace and export a successful job from the Batch Scheduler.
    2. Encode a password using the encodepassword.cmd
    3. Place this password in the .xml that was produced earlier along with the correct username and a reportserver.
    4. Launch command line via command prompt with the following syntax: schedulebatch mybatch.xml http://myserver:19000
    Not sure what else I am doing wrong...Thanks for the help!

    This batch did run successful from workspace. Thanks for your help.

  • Export Configuration via Command Line?

    Hi Gurus,
    Is it possible to do a configuration export via the command line? I have yet to find any documentation regarding this. The reason I ask is my GUI is having issues where I cannot save reports or export files. I have an SR open regarding the reports but not the export as this was noticed after the SR was created.
    Thanks
    Gerald

    Hi Gerald,
    Yes it is very much possible. For large configurations, it is recommended to take export from command line-
    1. run setenv file
    2. java -Xms512M -Xmx512M oracle.tip.repos.export.Export -inputfile <inputfile> [-ignoretypes <
    file>] <export file name>
    Arguments:
    -inputfile <inputfile> to export specific objects .
    -ignoretypes <file> , This is only for business process. This is to ignore
    the object types while exporting deployable BP.
    <export file name> name of the export file
    For e.g. -
    C:\B2B10g\Midtier\ip\install>java -Xms512M -Xmx512M oracle.tip.repos.export.Export C:\commandExport.xml
    Starting Execution Context
    Export file name is C:\commandExport.xml
    3.26
    exporting all design objects
    export done
    For benefit of other users of this community, I have documented the same on below link -
    http://anuj-dwivedi.blogspot.com/2009/12/exporting-configuration-through-command.html

  • Hyperion Workspace Financial Reporting Export to Excel Query-Ready Missing

    Hyperion Workspace Financial Reporting Export to Excel "Query-Ready" option is Missing in the dropdown when you go to File>Export>Excel
    Only the "Fully Formatted" option is available.
    From what I recall this option for a "query-ready" export should be available from the HTML preview?
    Is there something in configuration that needs to be enabled or something that needs to be checked on to get this option?
    We are running 11.1.1.3
    The Query-Ready option is available when exporting forms in Planning.
    When opening Financial Reports in Smartview the option for "Query-Ready" is available.
    For some reason this is not showing up in workspace, does it not exist in 11.1.1.3? Is this a bug?
    TIA

    Hi,
    The option to export the financial report output in "Query-Ready" format is actually at the bottom right hand corner of the report page (look at the report footer) instead of File>Export>Excel.
    Hope this helps

  • Achiving of reports uing catalog manager command line

    Hi ,
      I want to automate the archiving of reports using catalog manager  command line using Unix/Linux . Has anyone archived the reports like this . Please help . I am using OBIEE 11.1.1.6 and want to archive all the reports of the OBIEE catalog .

    You need to have the proper physical address of each report and corresponding files for that particular report to archive, you need to pass them as command line arguments.
    I would say it is time consuming process to validate your automation, more over you need to go with online mode to get security in place for catalog objects.
    I can feel the complex part thats the reason asked you to share the code

  • Financial Reporting: Suppress pages for large sparse dimension combinations

    Hello,
    I am trying to create a Financial Reporting report that shows only pages that are populated with data, but the dimensions that I have on the page are fairly large and very sparse. There are 8,000+ combinations of sparse members, only of which about 120 have data populated and those 120 are what I want to return on my report. I can't call out the page member combinations individually as new combinations appear regularly and I want to avoid running maintenance on the report definition each time the data in the cube is refreshed. My report isn't executing, so I suspect it is running for each of the 8,000+ combinations before determining whether or not it should render each particular page. Does this behavior sound right? If so, is there a workaround or some other trick to get Financial Reporting to test for the presence of populated combinations before rendering the pages?
    Any help would be much appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Rob M
    Synapse Group/Time, Inc.

    You can achieve this by doing following:
    1. Open report
    2. Select grid (left top corner)
    3. On 'Properties' window, select suppression
    4. Select '#Missing' in 'Basic option' section.
    Good luck & let me of the results.

  • How to make reports on a batch or command line?

    The company where I work have bought recently the Crystal Report product.
    We want to generate reports directly on a directory in batch mode. Everyday, we need to generate some PDFs. Is it possible to write a batch or to use the crystal report executable in command line?
    We develop applications in Java, so if you have some solution using the Java language, it will be better for us.

    I recommend the just-released Crystal Reports for Eclipse Version 2:
    [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/crystalreports-java]
    and Java code such as:
    reportClientDocument = new ReportClientDocument();
    reportClientDocument.setReportAppServer(ReportClientDocument.inprocConnectionString);
    reportClientDocument.open(reportPathString, OpenReportOptions._openAsReadOnly);
    byteArrayInputStream = (ByteArrayInputStream) reportClientDocument.getPrintOutputController().export(ReportExportFormat.PDF);
    then take the byte[] from the stream as sream as you like.

  • Could not call batch from command line processing

    I am experiencing a strange scenario where I am able to run the FR report by scheduling a batch in HFM and that creates RecRecon successfully. I am trying to do this as a batch script by using the command line script ScheduleBatch.cmd <xml file> <server name> <user name> <pass word>.
    This fails to create the report and I see an error message as below

    Can any one of you help me recover this issue?

  • Biar Export using Biar Command line tool

    Hi All,
    I am trying to export biar file using the biar command line tool for that i have written a .properties file and running that using the batch file , Here are the contents -
    Biarexport.properties -
    exportBiarLocation=C:/work/biartest/level.biar
    action=exportXML
    userName=E372019
    password=welcome9
    CMS=tss0s108:6800
    authentication=secEnterprise
    includeSecurity=true
    exportDependencies=true
    exportQuery= Select * from ci_infoobjects where si_kind in ('CrystalReport','Folder') and si_name='Air Travel Activity' and SI_INSTANCE = 0
    and running the above .properties file using below command u2013
    cd C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Common\4.0\java\lib
    java -jar biarengine.jar C:\work\biartest\biarexport.properties
    I get the biar file created on the given folder but if I compare itu2019s size(261KB) with the biar which I create manually from the Import Wizard(35 KB) , then comparatively it is bigger. It seems biar has every instance.
    This increases the file size unnecessary since we do not need the instances in the BIAR, just the report and the dependent repository objects.
    Need your assistance on this issue!
    Thanks for your help!

    I would suggest creating a case with support to go over this, you should have a support agreement since you have the Enterprise product.

  • Keeping a jpg folder in sync (automatic export or lightroom command line feature)

    Working with raw is good, but, sometimes, you need to have your "starred" photos in jpg somewhere for various reasons (for example you want to sync that jpg folder with a web portfolio or you want a folder to browse your photos without opening LR).
    What would be good is to be able to sync certain raws with jpg, i mean, a scheduled (windows) job which, at, say, 11am, checks modified raws (both raw and XMP), launches LR in background and export them all to that folder using a predefined profile.
    This would very useful to keep an online gallery without doing manual work everytime a pic is choosed (by starring or flaggin it).
    Currently SDK allows scripting inside LR, it would be great to be able script LR itself in some way (i mean a command line version, like "lightroom.exe /export profilename file.raw" which exports that file to jpg with lighroom edits, or lightroom.exe /select "flag=red" /export profilename). This would be really really useful. If we combine this with export SDK it could also be able to upload photos by itself once exported.

    I agree. I have just recently looked into how I can semi-automate this, but the problem is that as far as I can see, there is no way to export files using the same folder structure as they have inside LR, so it is difficult to compare the exported files with what is inside LR. For example, if the raw file is in c:\images\\folder1\image1.raw I would like to export it to f:\imagecopies\folder1.image1.jpb without having to give the "folder1" name (i.e. the root "f:\imagecopies" should have been enough).
    Maybe this can be solved with a export plugin, but I haven't looked at the SDK yet.

  • Unable to run reports from the unix command line

    hi
    all of a sudden i am unable to run reports ( on App server 10g) either from the unix scripts or from the unix command line. But i can run them from the forms.
    Any one have any idead about this.
    Thank you

    thanks all for replying
    i have set the env variables for the session and it worked. Looks like i have to set the oracle_home and ld_library_path every time ( opening a new putty session) i call sqlldr.
    But in a whole i am trying to run sql loader from the forms. Right now we have Oracle app server 10g which forms 10g version. As oracle app server 10g didnt come with sqlldr, we are copied the sqlldr of database on to app server with different home. after this we can run sqlldr ( on app server ) from unix scripts but not from Forms. Then we opened a qurey with oracle about app server 10g not commig with sqlldr and its remedy . But they said that they dont have specific remedy for that and suggested the same what we did.
    So we came up with java package which does the same funtion as host command and trying to run sqlldr which is on the database( ie replacing the host command in the forms with the database funtion). By using that funtion i am able to run the sqlldr from sql plus but not from forms. I couldnt easily debug it as i wont through any error messages.
    Any one have any idea of this ...
    Thank you

    What kind of objects do you want to export/import. I am asking because we have such command tool with Weblogic and OIM. Check this out:

    No.
    The GPU matters hardly at all for After Effects. After Effects doesn't use CUDA at all, and primarily uses OpenGL for a low-fidelity preview renderer. Don't waste your time thinking about the GPU for After Effects.
