Finding out a Managed Server Name/Port

Hi all,
Hope I have the relevant newsgroup....
Does anyone know how I might be able to find out the name of the managed server (or its port) that I am currently running on?
We have a clustered environment (1 admin, 2 managed servers) but I need to get the name of the managed server/port so I can generate some unique information for the server.
I was reading about JMX and it seems I can return a list of ALL servers configured to run on a cluster. It doesn't really help though as I need to find out the specific server details within the cluster.
Any help would really be appreciated.
Cheers,
Jay.

Yes, you can use WLST tool :-
domainConfig()
cmo.getServers()

I hope this helps :)

  • How to find out SSRS report server name

    I'm trying to follow the steps for using SSRS web services (http://ssrstutorials.blogspot.com/2012/10/lesson-12-using-ssrs-web-services.html).
    In Step 3:
    Click advanced--> add web reference -- url - http://localhost/reportserver/reportservice2005.asmx
    (replace localhost with your report server name).
    How do I know what's my report server name?
    Thanks,

    Hi sherri71,
    Sorry for that mark an incorrect reply as an answer.
    The reply suggested by Akbar is about Instance Name, not report server name. Based on my further research, I find that the Reporting Services server name is the computer name which install
    the report server. So we can try to click Start button, right-clicking Computer, and then clicking Properties. Under Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings, you can find your computer name.
    If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.
    Thanks,

  • How to find manage server name in weblogic server?

    I have two managed server in weblogic server. I need to find out which managed server serving my request. Please let me know if any body knows about this.

    You do not need to do anything, if your Report server is on the same machine as the Forms server (which is usually the case) you simply use the url as
    /reports/rwservlet?report=myreport' and the server will automatically use the default report server.
    then you simply use
    web.show_document('/reports/rwservlet?userid=scott/tiger@orcl&report=myreport&desformat=htmlcss&desname=test.html'Tony
    Try it now

  • How can I find out the mail server from email address?

    Hi:
    How can I find out the mail server from email address?
    for example: If I know the email address is [email protected],
    how to find the pop3 and smtp mail server?
    THANK YOU

    You can't tell by the email address since you can pretty much put whatever you want in there (especially if the SMTP server is not filtering anything).
    The header may be able to tell you something. There is a Received header value which looks like it has the routing information although I am not sure if this is a complete trace or just the last hop the message took.

  • How to find out the application server info

    Hi, I am wondering how to find out the application server info in Java code, just like how to find out the db platform being used. Thanks

    Hi,
    I am not aware of any spec defined way of finding out such info. There may be vendor specific APIs or mechanisms.
    But you can use environment entries in your deployment descriptors to specify the information and make use of the entries inside your j2ee component. That will make your code platform neutral.

  • Generic server name, port, context for deployment

    I need to move my application onto the server for deployment.
    Up til now, I have been running a server using localhost for my
    app. But I need to get the context root and run from there. I tried
    using @ContectRoot but it did not give me the server. Here is a
    snippet from the code? How do I do this?
    // on the deployment I need to replace localhost with server
    name, port, and context root
    public var dbURL:String = "
    http://localhost:8888/proj/loader";
    <mx:HTTPService id="sysOps" useProxy="false" method="GET"
    fault="handleFault(event);" url="{dbURL}"/>

    Only a request has a URL. It's possible for servlets to be mapped to respond to more than one URL, and the server can be configured to respond to more than one host and at more than one port. So none of those things you are asking for have any meaning without an actual request.

  • Find out from the machine name, what user is logged in

    thank you. Is there a way to find out from the machine name, what user is logged in or who the machine belongs to?
    I can actually find out from the username what machine they have because there is a field called the wWWHomePage that gets populated with the computer name
    how do I do that?
    Also I have a list of email addresses. How do I find the username from the list of email addresses ?
    thanks

    I have no good way to test this, so you'll probably have to adjust this on your end:
    Get-Content .\users.txt | ForEach {
    $emailAddr = $_
    $props = @{
    EmailAddress = $emailAddr
    Username = ''
    ComputerName = ''
    ComputerPath = ''
    try {
    $userDetails = Get-ADUser -Filter "EmailAddress -eq '$emailAddr'" -Properties wWWHomePage -ErrorAction Stop
    $pcDetails = Get-ADComputer -Identity $userDetails.wWWHomePage -Properties CanonicalName -ErrorAction Stop
    $props.Username = $userDetails.SamAccountName
    $props.ComputerName = $userDetails.wWWHomePage
    $props.ComputerPath = $pcDetails.CanonicalName
    } catch {
    $props.Username = 'ERROR'
    $props.ComputerName = 'ERROR'
    $props.ComputerPath = 'ERROR'
    New-Object PsObject -Property $props
    } | Select EmailAddress,Username,ComputerName,ComputerPath

  • How do I find out and manage which devices I installed Adobe Creative Suite on?

    I need to activate Adobe Creative Suite on a second computer, but a window comes up saying that I already have installed Creative Suite on a maximumo of 2 computers. I know that I can only download on 2 computers, but I have no idea where I downloaded it the second time. I need to find that device and deactivate it so that I can use my real 2nd computer.
    So, how do I find out and manage which devices I installed Adobe Creative Suite on?
    And if I deactivate it, can I activate my 2nd computer?

    Yes the End User License Agreement is the same for the Student and Teacher edition.  You can find more details at http://www.adobe.com/products/eulas/#desktop.
