Finding SCSI array name
Simple question Im sure but Im newbie at this. What is the best way to find the name or IP address of the iSCSI array of my ESX host. The host is not local so I would have to remotely connect. I need it for the Target IP on the iSCSI Initiator on my backup server. Thanks

Dear Rakesh,
If you intend to find the table name for a particular field name the methods are as follows.
>Method1:
>>1) Give SE15 on command prompt.
>>2) Select ABAP Dictionary
>>3) Select "fields" folder
>>4) Click on table fields
>>5) Then you can enter the desired field name (In your case EKGRP)
>>6) Run OR press F8.
>>The system will list out all the tables which contain your >>desired field name.
>Method 2:
>>1) using transactin Code SE11( ABAP Dictionary)
>>2) enter the Data table name where-in the respective field >>(EKGRP) is used eg; EKKO
>>3) Click the where -used list button
>>4) Check out the box(DB tables) Only .
>>There you can see entire list of tables containing the >>desired field.
>>Here the difficulty is that one should know at least the name >>of the one of the data tables which contain the desired field.

Rajesh.

Find most repeated name in an array of text String
Can somebody figure out this problem?
I have an array of text String, each element in array is simply text String which represents name. Assume the length of array is unknown and names can be repeated once or several times
The problem is to find out repeated name most
For example, if giving an array below:
String[] names = {"Watson", "Tom", "Waton", "Tom","Mike", "Watson","Mike"};we know that Watson will be repeated name most. If we do not know array in advance, how I can find most rrepeated name programmatically using Java?

System.out.println(nameFinder.repeatedNameMost());
}// End of NameFinder class
I have tried to run this code
However, it doesnot give me what I want
The output is "Milke" not "Watson" when running the code
I got some good idea from you

Suppose that several VIs running simultaneously on the same computer. How can I find out the names of the running VIs, from another VI?
If the already running VIs are clones of the same basic VI, open and run with the option "Prepare to call and forget", how can I find out the names and index of each clone?I had an application where I spawned (= ran with Start Asynchronous Call) multiple (reentrant) copies of VIs, and would occasionally "lose control" of them. I needed a way to find all VIs that were running "Top Level" and stop them (so I didn't have to log off from Windows).
I used the Application Property "All VIs in Memory" to get an array of (wait for it ...) All VIs in Memory. I took each name, opened a VI reference to it (simply wire the name string in, as the VI is, by definition, "in memory"), looked at its VI Execution State, and if it was Run Top Level, Invoked the FP.Close and Abort VI Methods. [To prevent the VI that did all this from "committing Suicide", I compared the name string with the current Call Chain, and did nothing if there was a match].
I think you could adopt this idea to do what you need.

How to pass dynamically generated string value as array name in TestStand?
Hi All,
I have a string variable which holds an array name as its value. The string value is a dynamically generated one. Now my problem is how to retrieve the values within the array where as the array name is stored in a string variable.
for eg:
fileglobals.InfoName = "Array_Name" --> fileglobals.InfoName is a string variable, Array_Name is the array name generated dynamically and it is known only at run-time.
Array_Name[0] = "a";
Array_Name[1] = "b";
Array_Name[2] = "c";
In the above case, I have to retrieve the values of a, b and c
Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks
Arun Prasath E GHi,
Looking at your sequencefile.
You seem to be trying to save into FlieGlobals.InfoName a string with the values of "FileGlobals.Info_0".."FileGlobals.Info_n" where n is the value of Parameter.TestSocket.Index.
Then you are setting the value into FileGlobals.TempName from "StationGlobals.FileGlobals.Info_0" assuming Parameter.TestSocket.Index is 0.
Is this correct?
I realise this is a cutdown sequence file but you must make sure These variable actually exist in either FileGlobals or StationGlobals. Also with FileGlobals each SequenceFile has its own FileGlobals unless you have set the properties of the SequencFile to use a common FileGlobals.
What was the precise error you was seeing as it will properly telling you what variable of property it can't find.

Discoverer Report: How to find Business Area name from Report Name.
Hi
I opened a report in Disco Desktop 4 -> Resonsibiolity --> Report Name.
So I know Report name but don’t know which Business Area it belongs to.
How to find Business Area Name from Report Name?
Cheers
VijayHi,
There is no relationship between reports and business areas. Each report can be built from many folders. Each folder can be in many business areas.
However you can try the following SQL which may give you the result you want for an v5 EUL. You will have to modify for Discoverer 4 EUL:
select distinct doc_name, obj.obj_name folder_name, bas.ba_name
from eul_us.eul5_documents doc
, eul_us.eul5_elem_xrefs xref
, eul_us.eul5_expressions exp
, eul_us.eul5_objs obj
, eul_us.eul5_ba_obj_links bol
, eul_us.eul5_bas bas
where xref.ex_from_id = doc.doc_id
and doc.doc_name = &your_report
and xref.ex_to_id = exp.exp_id
and obj.obj_id = exp.it_obj_id
and bol.bol_obj_id = obj.obj_id
and bas.ba_id = bol.bol_ba_id

How to find out server name in reports9i
hi all
how to find out server name in reports9i
i need the report server name to call a report
thanks
Edited by: vikas singhal on Nov 5, 2008 1:02 AMYou do not need to do anything, if your Report server is on the same machine as the Forms server (which is usually the case) you simply use the url as
/reports/rwservlet?report=myreport' and the server will automatically use the default report server.
then you simply use
web.show_document('/reports/rwservlet?userid=scott/tiger@orcl&report=myreport&desformat=htmlcss&desname=test.html'Tony
Try it now

I forget to mention that it is a USB wifi dongle (Tplink TL-WN722N). And I'm also running within virtualbox - I hope that does not complicate matters?
Probably. You'll need to make sure that VB guest can see your USB ports. You'll need the VB wiki pages for that though.
I don't use it, so can't help, sorry.

How to find out the name of a table?
Hi
How can I find out the name of a table which doesn't have a record history?
Regards
RahmanNo direct way to know the tables. What you will find on the ABout this page link are the View Object (similar to record sets), Entity objects, controller and Application module. Generally EO is based on a table or the VO can be based on the query which you can find the corresponding xml file. But a button action might be calling a method in AM or CO which in turn call some wrapper method to interact with database. So nothing straight forward. You will have to analyze the all page related code objects.
They are specific to OA framework and if you are not aware about them, better go through the initial chapters of OAF dev guide.

How do I find the image name and media_link for an ubuntu image in the Gallery?
I am trying to create VM using Python API.
I have a custom Linux image:
image_name = 'cloudN-Azure-20150205-os-2015-02-05'
media_link = 'https://portalvhds10ssz63zgvb9g.blob.core.windows.net/vhds/cloudN-Azure-20150205-os-2015-02-05.vhd'
When I used this image to create VM, it failed.
I would like to use the ubuntu 1204 image in the Gallery.
How do I specify the image_name and media_link in my Python code? Basically, where and how do I find the image name and media_link for an image in the Azure image Gallery?
Thanks in advance...hi sir,
Did you try to use "List OS Image"? we can get the property form the results:
result = sms.list_os_images()
for image in result:
print('Name: ' + image.name)
print('Label: ' + image.label)
print('OS: ' + image.os)
print('Category: ' + image.category)
print('Description: ' + image.description)
print('Location: ' + image.location)
print('Affinity group: ' + image.affinity_group)
print('Media link: ' + image.media_link)
print('')
Please try it. Any questions or it doesn't work, please let me know.

Using column value is it possible to find the table name in the database?
Hi all,
using column value is it possible to find the table name in the database?
guys i need the table value
Note:

for example:
i don't know NIC(column value) in which table in the database.
Thank you,

Edited by: Guest on Feb 27, 2012 5:42 AMHi,
As far as I understand what you are asking for I would suggest 4 data dictionaries that will help you to know the table name from the column names
1. USER_TAB_COLS
2. ALL_TAB_COLS
3. DBA_TAB_COLS
4. COLS
These can give you detail information about the columns and respective tables at user, schema, dba level. Further information on the table can be found by querying ALL_OBJECTS table giving table_name as Object_name, or you can join the data dictionaries too.
To know about various data dictionaries avalible in Oracle please query select * from cat;
Let us know if you need further assistance.
