If a row with ST='M' exists I want to find the nearest record
with ST='H' and VAL=1000

I'm not too clear on what you mean by "nearest", but I suspect that you might need some analytics function for this, ordering the proper way your data, and the lag function. Here's the manual for 10G: http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14223/analysis.htm#sthref1755
Tom Kyte (asktom.oracle.com) is the master of analytics, if you want examples.

  • How to find the offending DML for "enq: TX - row lock contention"

    Hello All,
    1) How can I find the offending DML for "enq: TX - row lock contention". I have tracked down the Blocking and Waiting Sessions as well as the Database Object too. But i am not able to find the DML (with values of bind variables) or the row for which both these sessions are fighting for?
Current Wait Event:  enq: TX - row lock contention
    Current Wait Class:  Application
    Wait Duration:  5:15 (mm:ss)
    P1:  name|mode 1415053318
    P2:  usn<<16 | slot 12058642
    P3:  sequence 39951
Object:  USERNAME.MEMBER 2) Also does *"enq: TX - row lock contention"* means Both the sessions are fighting for the same Row only or it can be different rows but same database block? If they are fighting for different rows, then can we try increasing the initrans of tables/indexes to prevent this wait.
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    Tommy

Thanks Randolf, Mark and Aman for your valuable inputs. We are using 10.2 and the lock mode held and requested is 6. And the Wait Event is "enq: TX - row lock contention".
Based on the above facts and based on Randolf's Blog, can we ignore the following cases?:
    - Same unique key written by different sessions: Because mode held and requested in ym case is 6 whereas in Randolf example it is 6 and 4 respectively
    - Unindexed foreign keys and modifications to parent table primary keys: Because Wait Event in my case is "enq: TX - row lock contention"
    - Insufficient block space and ITL slot shortage: Because Wait Event in my case is "enq: TX - row lock contention" and not enq: TX - allocate ITL entry
    - Segments with low MAXTRANS settings Only pre-10g: But Mine is 10g
And the possible scenarios left out scenarios are:
    - Bitmap indexes
    - Same Row modified by different sessions
I will now try to find out the sql/dml that is causing the problem. Thank you all for your help once again.

  • Getting the first row for each group

    Hi Everyone,
I have a query which returns a number of rows, all of which are valid. What I need to do is to get the first row for each group and work with those records.
    For example ...
    client flight startairport destairport stops
    A fl123 LGW BKK 2
    A fl124 LHR BKK 5
    B fl432 LGW XYZ 7
    B fl432 MAN ABC 8
    .... etc.
I would need to return one row for Client A and one row for Client B (etc.) but find that I can't use the MIN function because it would return the MIN value for each column (i.e. mix up the rows). I also can use the rownum=1 because this would only return one row rather than one row per group (i.e. per client).
I have been investigating and most postings seem to say that it needs a second query to look up the first row for each grouping. This is a solution which would not really be practical because my query is already quite complex and incorporating duplicate subqueries would just make the whole thing much to cumbersome.
So what I really new is a "MIN by group" or a "TOP by group" or a "ROWNUM=1 by group" function.
Can anyone help me with this? I'm sure that there must be a command to handle this.
    Regards and any thanks,

    Something like this:
    select *
    from (
       select table1.*
       row_number() over (partition by col1, col2 order by col3, col4) rn
       from table1
where rn = 1In the "partition by" clause you place what you normally would "group by".
In the "order by" clause you define which will have row_number = 1.
    Edit:
PS. The [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e17118/functions004.htm#i81407]docs have more examples on using analytical functions ;-)

  • Error!! Can not find the delivery details for the delivery Id :

    hi all,
I have a report which i need to burst in seven different reports wherein my delivery key is column "emp_id". Now when i schedule the report to burst then the report completes with a warning. I see that there are various delivery cycles for the report and for one of the cycles i get the following message
Error!! Can not find the delivery details for the delivery Id :
hence, what happens due to this is, even there are successful deliveries for other delivery ids but then i get only two rows of data in each of the seven bursted ouput xls files. wheareas the data runs in thousands of rows for each cycle.
Hence whats happening is, that due to error /warning in one of the delivery cycles other reports are also not showing data.
I am not sure whats causing the issue and why i am not getting complete bursted files out.
    Please suggest
    Thanks
    Ronny

    I guess, you are in 10.1.3.3.2 :),
in the latest release 10.1.3.4.1, there are more enhancement wrto bursting and performance i believe.
    check th release notes
can you send me the xml and bursting query you have, i can try simulating in my local.

  • Issue in finding the current row

I am rendering rows of a VO using an iterator component. One of the component I am rendering is a declarative component created by me.
In this component there is a clickable link on which i can write any method to achieve desired functionality.
Since, iterator is used so the current row is set to the last row. Now on clicking the link in the declarative component i need to do some operation based on the current row (pk of that row). So, how to find the current row id?
Note: If it would be a simple adf component like a commandLink i could have inserted a setServerListener inside it and could have put the id in to requestScope to access it. But as this is the declarative component in which i cannot create a serverListener so I am looking for some other solution.

    Hi john,
My table have the selection listener.
    Thanks in advance

  • PageComposer Error - Cannot find the module necessary for printing C5051

    Hi
Having some problems trying to setup a Windows 2008 R2 print server with shared Canon iR C5051 printer
I've created the printer, installed the 64 bit driver Canon iR-ADV C5045/5051 PCL6 v 20.90 and works fine for 64 bit Windows 7 clients, installed the 32 bit driver by selecting printer properties, sharing tab, additional drivers and selecting x86 and pointing to the 32 bit PCL driver. Driver installs fine on the print server without any errors.
Goto 32 bit client, add printer, select the shared printer from the printserver, printer installs Ok. When the user however tries to print, get the error:-
    Canon PageComposer
Cannot find the module necessary for printing
    Re-install the printer driver
I've done this countless times, any idea's on how to fix ?
    Thanks

Where is the code you posted? Running in a separate project, I assume? Does that project have a dependency on the project containing the app module specified?
And just to check (although by default, JDev should do this for you)--the app module project has been compiled since adding the configuration, right? You need to check to make sure the config exists not only under Project/src, but under Project/classes.

Oh, and BTW--I assume this is not a typical ADF application, right? In a standard ADF application, you would very rarely need to instantiate an application module in code like this; you could just let the data binding facility do it for you. The technique like the one you're using is most appropriate for purely programmatic, no-UI cases. (e.g., once I tried to implement an SMTP server backed by business components. That was an appropriate case for ditching databindings and doing the sort of thing you're doing, because it had no view layer (because it had no UI to render).

  • Can I find the names of who viewed a recording?

Can I find the names of who viewed a recording?

If the recording is tied to an Event (using the Events Module) or is converted to a Course (using the Training Module), then yes, you can get the user specific information on viewers. However, as a Content object, either in the Meeting Recordings folder or a Content folder, there is no user specific information that is tracked. This is true for any Content object in Connect.

  • How to find the moving average for perticular time step for same time series

    Hello everyone,
I am new in labview and I have one issue. I have a huge text file with the different pressure value of  different ports.
I make the VI in which first I read the text file and identify the perticular port column. In that column there are 32768 pressure value.
Time  Num     Port 101 Port 102 Port 103...... Port 532
    0         1
    0.001   2
    50       32768
And this all reading takes in 50 sec and I have to split this readings in 4.5 sec... in every 4.5 sec there are 2969 values...
Now please go throw the attched VI... i am able to find the mean value with the 12 time step of 2969 value...
Now I want to do is, to find again the mean value of 2969 values(2970 to 5938) with time step of 12 and so on until 32768... so it happens 11 times in series...
So can anyone modify my VI??
    Thank you,
    Solved!

please go through the attched VI
I made some correction in that. Now I am able to find the mean value for first 2969 rows with the overlapping time step of 12.
It means I am able to find the mean value from 1-12,2-13,3-14 ... 2958-2969...
but now the problem starts, I want to calculate the mean value of next 2969 rows which is 2970 to 5938 with the time step of 12...
So please modify my VI.. I stuck with the serious problem...
I have 32768 rows and have a partition of 2969 rows so the loop has to be repeat for 11 times.
    hope you understand the prob
    Thank you

  • Help in finding the total count for each month

    Hello everyone,
Sometime back I had posted about the date function. I have that problem solved now my problem is that after finding all records which against each record I need to find the total count for that month if no records than I have to set it to a 0.
Here is how my program has been written.
    PROCEDURE extract_materials
    IS
    CURSOR xyz
    BEGIN
    FOR xyz1 IN xyz LOOP
-- once inside the loop for each of the record from
the cursor I need to find a total count for that record for everymonth in the year.
All these records will be instered in to a staging table
Can you please help me out with this. I really appreciate this.
    Thanks in advance.
    -Vani

Andrew - you missed the tricky bit of the spec - include missing months with a zero.
You need to do an outer join to a select from any big table with a function involving rownum and add_months to generate all the possible months. However, its time to go home and I can't be bothered to work out the finer details.

An absolute URL will be a complete URL, it traces from the abosulte root of a file's location on a server...
    http://www.thesite.com/assets/images/Front_Page_Rotating_Banner/banners.xml
A relative URL is anything short of including the http://domain..., and is read relative to wherever the file using it exists
    assets/images/Front_Page_Rotating_Banner/banners.xml
In Flash files though, relative links need to be specified relative to the HTML page that embeds the swf.  So if the swf is in a different folder than the html page that embeds it, the swf's targeting must be adjusted as if it were actually in the html file's folder.

  • Nternal ERROR: Can not find the ACL containter for object ...

We are using OWB 10.2.0.3. We tried to introduce two basic roles to prevent user A from accessing certain parts of our project. Somehow (I cannot really say how) we ended up in the error message below whenever we want to modify the security properties of an object.
Neither in metalink nor in the oracle forums I could find any hint about that error.
    Can anyone help??

    Hi Maren
Like you I get this error and do not know what steps caused it.In my scenario I have some mappings that give the error and some that do not - the repository user gets the error but the repository owner does not.
Thinking back over the last number of months (as this project contains 7-8 months od work - we do have exports of the project) I think the ones giving the error are those that perhaps were copied from another to start the coding but I cannot be sure.
I have read the metalink note mentioned above as well as the the queries posted by Oleg and yourself. The queries posted are slightly different, one has a where clause
    fco.classname = 'CMPACLContainer' (Maren's)
    and the other
    fco.classname='CMPMap' (Oleg's).
Was this intentional Maren on your behalf for your problem to be fixed?
We are using 10.2.0.3.33 OWB client and 10.2.0.3.0 OWB repository.
    Thanks
    Edwin
