How can I find the servlet class name from inside a ServletFilter?
Ive implemented a servlet filter, but need to discover the class name of any servlet class that gets executed.
Ive dug through the spec and cant seem to find any path to do this.
Seems the methods needed to do this have been deprecated. (for security reasons?)
Is there any way to write a ServletFilter to grab this info?
If not, is there any other way to capture every servlet execution in the container, time its execution, and log the class name along with the execution time?
(***WITHOUT*** requiring a classpath over ride of any container provider classes)
Any help is much appreciated. Been banging my head against this for some time now :(request.getServletPath() returns the part of the URL which refers to the servlet. It isn't the classname of the servlet but it should be a reasonable surrogate. If you log that, then you could write some code which reads your web.xml and uses the servlet-mapping elements to convert it to servlet class names later.

Could not find the main class. & java.lang.NoClassDefFound error:
sir / madam
I am facing problems with j2ksdk1.4.0 beta instalation on my windows 2000 advance server.
while installing pops up a message saying could not find the main class.
while using java or javac it says
Exception in thread main
java.lang.NoClassDefFound error:
com/sun/tools/javac/main
even when double clicking java plugin from the control panel
I get the Java virtual machine launcher saying could not find the main class.
I don't have any other java sdk installed.
And i have my environment variables (classpath, path and java_home) set correctly.
this same j2sdk1.4.0 version is installed in the windows 98 system and it's working fine.
Kindly do help me to solve this problem.
eagerly awaiting for your response.
Thanking you
Sajeev Nair
[email protected]you must check with the classpath
please see that you have not repeated %classpath%
at the end of the class path like you do in win98.
similiarly with %path%
in win2000 it is automatically taken care off. -
How to get the current class name in static method?
Hi,
I'd like to get the current class name in a static method. This class is intended to be extended. So I would expect that the subclass need not to override this method and at the runtime, the method can get the subclass name.
getClass() doesn't work, because it is not a static method.
I would suggest Java to make getClass() static. It makes sense.
But in the mean time, does anybody give an idea to work around it?
Thank you,
BillWhy not create an instance in a static method and use getClass() of the instance?
public class Test {
public static Class getClassName() {
return new Test().getClass(); -
What is the standard class used to create SALES ORDER in SAP CRM?
Hello Experts,
Can anyone suggest me what is the standard class used for creating sales order.
I have created sales order using the BAPI 'BAPI_SLSTRANSACT_CREATEMULTI' in my report program.
Now, I have to create sales order using standard classes and methods(my assignment).
Please suggest the suitable class.
Regards
DNR VarmaHi Varma,
You can create crm documents like sales order using BOL interfaces.
You can check one example at the following thread:
Create OrderThro BOL
Check if it helps you a little more.

Hi everyone,
where can I find the detail document about certain method of a class?????
e.g. the class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID , when I was going through the class and looking
at the methods, sometimes the method description is just like the method name,
and I cannot know what the method does.
so, I am wondering where I can find the detail information about the class???
Edited by: Matt on Dec 4, 2008 11:55 AMHi,
Most of the times the SAP itself provides the documentaion of the CLASS. when you click on the METHOD name the METHOD DOCUMENTATION button you can see on the application tool bar.
more over the names of the methods suggest what it is going to do.
SET_ATTRIBUTE( sets the attribute)
GET_ATTRIBUTE( gets the attribute value that is provided to the method)
GET_CHILDNODE
BIND_TABLE
etc
like this

How to find the arguments of a static method from the class file
Hi,all !
How to find the arguments of a static method from the class file? for example, when we meet a bytecode "invokestatic", how can I know the arguments of this static method?Hi,all !
How to find the arguments of a static method from the
class file? for example, when we meet a bytecode
"invokestatic", how can I know the arguments of this
static method?You mean
1. The values?
2. Argument names?
3. Argument signatures.
I would suppose for the last that the easiest way would be to parse the signature string.
The first is not possible - not from the class file.
The second is only in the debug information stored in the optional part of the class file. And figuring out the format for that is going to be a problem. -

Edited by: sivapara on Feb 16, 2011 1:08 PMI was able to resolve this issue by performing following.
1. Go to the location where sqldeveloperW.exe is being executed from.
2. You will find a file sqldeveloper.conf in that location. Edit this file and change the value of IncludeConfFile to point to actual place. For me following were old and new values.
OLD (Wrong) : IncludeConfFile ../../jdev/bin/ide.conf
NEW (Correct) : IncludeConfFile ../../ide/bin/ide.conf
After making above change in the sqldeveloper.conf file. Save and close it. Restart SQLDeveloper. You will not get the error anymore.
Thanks

Where is SearchExcel.class?Excellent question, though I think I spotted a problem with the cp supplied.
Note the documentation for -cp state (in part)
For example, if directory foo contains a.jar and b.JAR, then the class path element foo/* is expanded to a A.jar:b.JAR, except that the order of jar files is unspecified.So instead of this..
java -cp /tmp/MyJava/excelapi:/app/jdk/1.6.0_16/jre/lib:/app/jdk/1.6.0_16/lib SearchExcel..try this..
java -cp /tmp/MyJava/excelapi/*:/app/jdk/1.6.0_16/jre/lib:/app/jdk/1.6.0_16/lib SearchExcelNotes:
1) Adding the JRE classes to the classpath should not be necessary, but I left the rest of the cp unaltered to highlight the one specific difference I am suggesting.
2) When posting code, code snippets, HTML/XML or input/output, please use the code tags. The code tags help retain the indentation and formatting of the sample. To use them, select the sample text and click the CODE button.
If that still fails, tell us more specifically where the SearchExcel class is by copy/pasting the output (within code tags) of the command..
prompt>jar -tvf mysearchexcel.jarWhere, of course, you replace 'mysearchexcel.jar' with the actual Jar name it is supposed to be located in.

Find the implementation class of a Business object
HI Gurus,
Is there any path in SPRO from where we can find the implementation class of a BOL object?
For an example, I am working with BuilHeader. The backend table for BUL Header which will be updated while modifiyng BuilHeader is BUT000. So how can we find the back end database table name or implementation class where the table BUT000 is updated?Hi Suchandra Bose
the flow will go like this.
1) the data in the BOL structures moved to Genil Implementation Class which is defined in the below SPRO path
CRM->CRM Cross application components->Generic Interaction Layer/Object Layer->Basic Settings in this corresponding each and every component one Genil class and its Model information in the form of tables will be maintained.
2) Take for example BP component , for BP component CL_CRM_BUIL is the Generic Interaction layer class , with in the generic interaction layer class methods (Create_objects, MODIFY_OBJECTS, GET_OBJECTS) you will find a code snippet to get the * Handler class* , this handler class will inturn get the Interaction Layer classes to reach the API ,
get object handler
lv_cl_object =
me->handler_factory->get_obj_handler(
iv_object_name = iv_object_name ).
3) This handler method will query the table CRMC_OBJIMP_BUIL to get the relevant handler class depending on which functionality you are implementing.

You have to specify the manifest with a special option (I think its was -M)
Otherwise the jar will create one (even if you provide it)No, the text file passed as a parameter will be incorporated in the manifest file generated by the JAR tool.
@OP: This will work:
JarTest.java
public class JarTest {
public static void main(String[] args) {
System.out.println("JarTest works!");
}manifest.txt
Main-Class: JarTest+(note there is an extra new line in the manifest.txt!)+
Now execute these commands:
javac JarTest.java
jar cfm MyJar.jar manifest.txt JarTest.class
java -jar MyJar.jar And on my machine, the string "JarTest works!" is displayed on the screen.
And if you look in the MANIFEST.MF file inside your jar file (you can use almost any zip-utility for this), you will see the following:
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Created-By: 1.6.0_0 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
Main-Class: JarTestOr something similar. -
