Finding userexits

Hi,
I have to find user exit in migo.I found out exits in migo using some standard program. But there is
nothing added in the enhancement.
Exit Name           Description
MBCF0002            Customer function exit: Segment text in material doc. item
MBCF0005            Material document item for goods receipt/issue slip
MBCF0006            Customer function for WBS element
MBCF0007            Customer function exit: Updating a reservation
MBCF0009            Filling the storage location field
MBCF0010            Customer exit: Create reservation BAPI_RESERVATION_CREATE1
MBCF0011            Read from RESB and RKPF for print list in  MB26
MB_CF001            Customer Function Exit in the Case of Updating a Mat. Doc.
these are the exits in migo.
If I doubleclick those things finally i am getting INCLUDE ZXMBCU02.
message program name zx are reserved for includes of exit function groups.
I am thinking there may not be any exits. Is it directly possible to add any thing in the code itself
with out enhancement. In my company person have done some work.If I come to know
version management dates of modification of all includes.I can find out modification according to relation
date.
Is there any standard program to find out version management dates of includes in particular
transaction like MIGO
Regards,
Bathri..

Hi,
you can find other way.
using the package of the transaction program.
SMOD->UTILITIES->SEARCH
there search with package.
it will display list of exits.
about version management. when you have done version management you can display previuos version, right. there you can find when it got changed.
thanks

  • Finding Enhancement for a userexit

    Hi All,
I am trying to find Enhancement name for the userexit USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP and so far have tried all suggestions from the experts including, sample program code to find userexits for a transaction, SMOD, SE84 (thru package), etc., etc.. but without any success.  Can someone please show me step by step how to find the Enhancement for this userexit.  I would greatly appreciate it.  Again, no tips, hints, pls. ..just the actual steps for the aforementioned userexit.  Once we have this resolved, we could apply this to a lot more exits, which would be a big help as we need the Enhancement name in CMOD.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Tony

This is special type of the userexit form in the SD area. You will not find it in SMOD, CMOD etc.
You can find this FORM in the program MV45AFZZ.
You need an access key for this program if you are chaning it first time.
MV45AFZZ is the include which cotains all the userexit forms for order processing.

  • How To Find A user Exit ...........??

    hello
experts how can i find a user exit which is not found in a the table modsap??actualy how can i find the include name in SAP standard program if i don get the exit name in table modsap for userexit??
    plz reply
    thanx

    HOW TO FIND USEREXITS
    Hello,
To add to the above points --->
    1) Option 1 : you don't know the name or dont have any info on user exit
    run T-code : SPRO
SPRO -> Click SAP Reference IMG -> click in the relevant module eg: SD (sales and Distribution) ->System Modifications -> User exits
You can view documentation to understand the purpose of that user exit
It is not that always one can find the user exits under the name "System modifications" but with respect to a module definitely user exits can be found under that module in SPRO
    2) Option 2 : You know the name of the user exit
Run Tcode : SMOD -> fill in the enhancement name-> click on attributes and then components or directly on components and view the include...if already a code is written in the include, then on double click of include you can see the code...if an existing code is not there and you double click on the include,SAP prompts for a request
3)Option3: You can use the custom code..which was contributed to SDN
Create a new report program -> copy the code -> activate -> run
on the p_tcode : give the name of the tcode for which you need to find the user exits and execute...a list of exits will be displayed...double click and follow the link

  • UserExits

    Sir,
plz explain Exits and its various types and also give example of them also.

    Hi,
    USEREXIT
Userxits allow us to add our own functionality to SAP standard program
without  modifying it . These are implemented in the form of subroutines and hence are also known as FORM EXITs. The userexits are generally collected in includes and attached to the standard program by the SAP.
All Userexits start with the word USEREXIT_...
    FORM USEREXIT_..
    z..
    ENDFORM.
The problem lies in finding the correct userexit and how to find it if one exists for the purpose. Once the correct userexit is found the necessary
customer code is inserted in the customer include starting with the z..
    in the form routine.
    e.g. USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE
Certain application like SD still provide this form of enhancement using userexit but this practice is no longer being followed for newer extensions
instead they are using EXITs which come bundeled in enhancement packages . Neverthiless existing USEREXITS will be supported by SAP an all the newer versions of SAP.
    HOW TO FIND USEREXITS
Userexits can be found in number of ways:
    1) To find userexits in SD module , goto object navigator(SE80) and select
development class from the list and enter VMOD in it. All of the userexits in SD are contained in the development class VMOD. Press
enter and you will find all the includes which contain userexits in SD for
different functions like PRICING, ORDER PROCESSING etc. Select the userexit according to the requirement and read the comment inserted in it
    and start coding .
Some examples of userexits in SD(SALES & DISTRIBUTION ) are:
1)ADDING OF NEW FIELDS IN PRICING
In Pricing in SD the fields on the basis of which pricing is done are derived from the FIELD CATALOG which is a structure KOMG .This structure is used to transfer transaction data to the pricing procedure in SD and is also known as communication structure. This structure KOMG consists of two tables KOMK for Header related fields and KOMP for item related fields.
The fields which are not in either of the two tables KOMK and KOMP
cannot be used in pricing .Sometimes a need arises when the pricing
is to be based on some other criteria which is not present in the form of fields in either of the two tables.
This problem can be solved by using USEREXITS which are provided for pricing in SD.
Pricing takes place both when the SALES ORDER ( Transaction VA01) is created as well as when INVOICING ( Transaction VF01) is done.Hence SAP provides 2 userexits ,one for sales order processing which is
    USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP  or
    USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMK
Depending upon which table (KOMK or KOMP) the new fields were inserted we use either of the above two userexits. These userexits are found in include MV45AFZZ of the standard SAP sales order creation program SAPMV45A.
In the case of userexit which will be called when invoicing is done ,these
are provided in the include RY60AFZZ which is in the standard SAP
program SAPMV45A. The name of the userexits are same. i.e
    USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP  or
    USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMK
These userexits are used for passing the data from the communication structure to the pricing procedure, for this we have to fill the newely
created field in the communication structure KOMG for this we fill the code in the above userexit using the MOVE statement after the data that
has to be passed is taken from the database table by using the SELECT statement. The actual structure which is visible in these userexits and which is to be filled for that particular field is TKOMP or TKOMK.
Before the coding for these userexits is done ,it is necessary to create a new field in either of the two tables KOMK or KOMP .For this purpose
includes are provided in each of them .
To create the field in header data(KOMK) the include provided is KOMKAZ
and to create the field in item data(KOMP) the include provided is KOMPAZ.
One possible example for the need of creating new fields can be e.g. Frieght to be based upon transportation zone ,for this no field is available in field catalog and hence it can be created in KOMK and then above userexits can be used to fill the transportation data to it.
2)The other method of finding userexit is to find the word USEREXIT in the
associated program of the transaction for which we want to determine userexit using SE38.
3)The other method of finding userexits is to find the include in case of SD/MM applications where the userexits are located ,this can be found in the SAP reference IMG generally in the subfolder under SYSTEM MODIFICATION.
Some other examples of userexits in SD are:
    USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE
This userexit is used to assign a different internal document number to the
sales order(VA01) when it is created depending on some criteria like a different SALES ORGANIZAION(VKORG) .
    USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE
This userexit is used to insert the ABAP code which will be called when
the document (sales order VA01) is just about to be saved. This userexit is used generally for custom checks on different fields , to display some information before the order will be saved or for making changes to certain fields before the sales order will be saved.
    Exits & Enhancements
There are mainly six types of EXITs in sap which have been collected in the form of enhancement packages and attached to standard code in SAP.
These are different from USEREXIT in the way that they are implemented
in the form of FUNCTIONs while in USEREXITS we use form routines for their implementation. These are also sometimes known as function exits .
These start from the word EXIT_ followed by the program name and then followed by a three digit number.
    e.g.  EXIT_SAPMV45A_002
This exit is found in SD in enhancement V45A0002.
    TYPES OF EXITS
    1)MENU EXITS
    2)FUNCTION EXITS
    3)TABLE EXITS
    4)SCREEN EXITS
    5)KEYWORD EXITS
    6)FIELD EXITS
We use SAP transactions CMOD and SMOD to manage exits. Before implementing an exit , it is required to create the project by using CMOD
selecting the enhancement e.g. V45A0002 and selecting the component
(one which fulfills our need) i.e the exit which will be implemented in SMOD and after coding has been done the project has to be activated.
An exit can be coded only once.
    FUNCTION EXITS
These are used to add functionality through ABAP code . These start from the word EXIT_programname_NNN ending in a 3 digit number. No access code is required to implement any tupe of exit including function exits.
The function exits are called from the standard SAP program in the form
    of ABAP statement
    CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION 'NNN'
This is in contrast to USEREXITs where PERFORM statement is used to call
    the required userexit.
To implement the FUNCTION EXITs first of all the project is created and a suitable enhancement package is selected and from its compnents the function exit to be implemented is selected and on double clicking it the exit code will appear in ABAP EDITOR(se38) where a Z include will be found and the customer code should be entered in this include.
    e.g.
ADDING A DEFAULT SOLD-TO-PARTY in Sales Order Creation
To show a default sold-to-party in this field when the user creates a sales order (VA01) we can use a function exit .This function exit is located
in enhancement no V45A0002 . Before we can choose the exit we have to
create a project in CMOD after that enter V45A0002 in the enhancement field and click on the components . In the components you will see the
exit EXIT_SAPMV45A_002 . This exit is used for our purpose.
Double clicking on this exit will takes us to function builder (SE37) . This
function exit has one exporting parameters and two importing parameters, we are interested in exporting parameter which is  E_KUNNR
of type KNA1-KUNNR i.e if we move the desired customer name to this
structure(E_KUNNR) it will be shown in the field as the default value when we create the sales order.
This function also contains a customer include ZXVVA04 . This include
will be used to write our custom code .
Double clicking on this include and it will prompt us that this include does not exists do you want to create this object ,select yes and the include will be created .In this include we can write our own code that will fill the field E_KUNNR.
    e.g. E_KUNNR = 301.
Activate the include and Activate the project. Now when ever the SALES ORDER will be created , sold-to-party field will come up with a predefined
    customer .
    FIELD EXITS
The field exits are managed, created, activated through program RSMODPRF. The field exit is associated with a data element existing in ABAP dictionary and hence to the screen field using that data element.
The format of field exit is :
    FIELD_EXIT_dataelement_A-Z or 0-9
If a particular screen and program name is not specified than the field exit will effect all the screens containing that data element.
The function module associated with field exit shows two parameters
INPUT and OUTPUT.  Input parameter contains the data passed to the field exit when the field exit was invoked by the R/3 , We can write our own code to change the output parameter depending upon our requirements.
Before the field exit can have any effect the system profile parameter
ABAP/FIELDEXIT in all the application servers should be set to YES
    ABAP/FIELDEXIT = YES.

  • Creation of New Table for Delivery Output Type.

    Hi Guys,
I need to replace an existing table by creating a new Table in the existing Access Sequence with the combination of "Ship to Party/Product Hierarchy".
Logistics>Shipping>basic Shipping functions>Output determination>Maintain Condition Tables-->maintain output condition table for deliveries.
I am choosing a new table by the name 902, but i am not getting the field " PRODH Product Hierarchy" on the right hand side to choose from.
I checked the field catelog also. Firstly the field catelog was also not having the field, and then i added the field in it by choosing new entries.
I guess i am missing some step in between, thats why the new field (PRODH) is not showing on the right hand side while creation of the condition table.
One more thing, when i am seeing the Field Catelog, i am able to see a very large number of fields, then why only a few are appearing during creation of a new table??????
Can you guys correct me and let me find a way.????
    Thanks very much indeed.
    Regards,
    Vivek

Hi If u have already the field in FC u can add with new entries .
Try with ,enter t- code <b>SE11</b>, enter <b>KOMB</b>- it will ask for access key get from basis and add u r Field catalog
Field catalog for condition key: output determination
If at all u want a new field tao add to u r FC u Can try with userexit.

  • Check on vendor email address change before saving PO

    Hi All,
I need to check Is there any change in Vendor Email address in PO before
saving. I am trying to find userexits.
I found some like EXIT_SAPMM06E_012, But here I am not getting complete
    Vendor address...
Req: I am maintaing multiple email address for Vendor at PO header level.
Here is the path:  PO Header --> Address tab --> Click on Address Details
--> Here we can maintain(Insert/ Delete/Change) multiple e mail address.
So I need to check is there any change in email address before saving.
Could you please any body help me on this....
    Thanks
    Rays

    Hello Rays,
    One base question,
Are you going to check the vendor email address manually before saving the PO?
The vendor address in the puchase order is copied from the vendor master so you can maintain email address (single or multiple) in the vendor master before creating the purchase order. At the time of purchase order creation/save, you can change the default email address and use this to trigger PO to vendor.
By the way, user exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_012  (Check Customer-Specific Data Before Saving) is used for custom field not for SAP std field.
    Hope this helps.

  • Default text in VA01, Preparation document

    Hi Experts,
I have a requirment in VA01 Tcode. For some order types , preparation document (VBBk-Z009) has to come default in the texts tab just after enter the sold to pary and click on text tabs.
Since sales order number will be generated only after click on Save button, not able to use SAVE_TEXT function module .Even though User exits are available , not able to pull the data.
If we maintain the enrty in XD02, it can be retrieved but since we have many customers als the requirment is only for some order types , we don't want to do that.
Please let me know is there any another way to do this.
    Regards,
    Sreeja

    hello,
There are user exits available USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE
This userexit is used to insert the ABAP code which will be called when
the document (sales order VA01) is just about to be saved. This userexit is used generally for custom checks on different fields , to display some information before the order will be saved or for making changes to certain fields before the sales order will be saved.
So you can use this user exit to save the custom fields that are added. To find userexits in SD module , goto object navigator(SE80) and select development class(package) from the list and enter VMOD in it. All of the userexits in SD are contained in the development class VMOD. Press enter and you will find all the includes which contain user exits in SD for
different functions like PRICING, ORDER PROCESSING etc.

  • How to Create Menu Exit

    Hi,
Please tell me steps for how to create Menu Exit. Please Help me

    MENU EXITS
Menu exits allow you to add your own functionallity to menus. Menu exits are implemented by SAP, and are reserved menu entries in the GUI interface. The developer can add his/her own text and logic for the menu.
Function codes for menu exits all start with "+"
    Example
We want to create a new menu item in the Office menu. The text for the menu should be "Run ZTEST", and the menu will
    run report ZTEST.
Goto transaction SE43 Area Menu Maintenance
In Area Menu Paramenter type 'S000' (S triple Zero)
Select Change and ignore all the warning screens
Expand the office menu. In the buttom of the office tree you will find a menu named "Customer function"
Double click on the text. In the pop-up screen change the text to "Run ZTEST". Note that the trsnaction code is +C01
Goto transaction SE93 and create transaction +C01 that calls report ZTEST.
Now you will se the menu displayed in the office tree. If you delete transaction +C01 again, the new menu will dissapear.
There are 'only' 177 Menu exits in standard - I couldn't see the right one, too.
But you could search the implemented exits, this should be only a small number. Go to transaction CMOD, enter * and F4, information system (F5), show all selections (Shift+F7) and then you can restrict to search only menu exits.
Of course there is the possibility, that these are added in a different way...
... at least you can be sure, if it's a normal menu exit.
    Check this sap help..

    http://www.sapbrainsonline.com/TUTORIALS/default.html
You can achieve this functionality by configuring in IMG.
Please find the info regarding User-Exit's in the following links:

    Re: doubt on user exits
    user exits and Badis
User exits is the enhancements provided by SAP
You can use them in transactions. Each transaction will have user exits.
If you want to use your own requirements by making your coding while the transaction is run you can use user exits.
For example if you want to run the MRP in MD02 specific to MRP controller you can user exit.
Please also refer the document below.
    USEREXIT

development class from the list and enter VMOD in it. All of the userexits in SD are contained in the development class VMOD. Press enter and you will find all the includes which contain userexits in SD for different functions like PRICING, ORDER PROCESSING etc. Select the userexit according to the requirement and read the comment inserted in it and start coding .
The fields which are not in either of the two tables KOMK and KOMP cannot be used in pricing .Sometimes a need arises when the pricing is to be based on some other criteria which is not present in the form of fields in either of the two tables.
In the case of userexit which will be called when invoicing is done ,these
are provided in the include RY60AFZZ which is in the standard SAP program SAPMV45A. The name of the userexits are same. i.e
    USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP or
    USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMK
These userexits are used for passing the data from the communication structure to the pricing procedure, for this we have to fill the newely created field in the communication structure KOMG for this we fill the code in the above userexit using the MOVE statement after the data that has to be passed is taken from the database table by using the SELECT statement. The actual structure which is visible in these userexits and which is to be filled for that particular field is TKOMP or TKOMK.
Before the coding for these userexits is done ,it is necessary to create a new field in either of the two tables KOMK or KOMP .For this purpose includes are provided in each of them .
To show a default sold-to-party in this field when the user creates a sales order (VA01) we can use a function exit .This function exit is located in enhancement no V45A0002 . Before we can choose the exit we have to create a project in CMOD after that enter V45A0002 in the enhancement field and click on the components . In the components you will see the exit EXIT_SAPMV45A_002 . This exit is used for our purpose.
Double clicking on this exit will takes us to function builder (SE37) . This
function exit has one exporting parameters and two importing parameters, we are interested in exporting parameter which is E_KUNNR of type KNA1-KUNNR i.e if we move the desired customer name to this structure(E_KUNNR) it will be shown in the field as the default value when we create the sales order. This function also contains a customer include ZXVVA04 . This include will be used to write our custom code .
Double clicking on this include and it will prompt us that this include does not exists do you want to create this object ,select yes and the include will be created .In this include we can write our own code that will fill the field E_KUNNR.
    e.g. E_KUNNR = 301.
Activate the include and Activate the project. Now when ever the SALES ORDER will be created , sold-to-party field will come up with a predefined customer .

  • Screen field for Production Order CO01

I want to add an additional field to enter shift in Production order screen CO01. How can I do this and what is the screen exit.
    Thanks

    HOW TO FIND USEREXITS ???

  • User exits used in sales and distribution?

i need  some  user exits   that we commonly  used in sd. please if  somebody has  worked on  user exits . and  how  are  they used..
points will be awarded  to all  for replying...
    thanks in advance
    Neha.

    Hi refer below
It is most common that one or other time we need to use this function while configuring multi tasking & complex Prcing Architecture.
Here Iam giving a simple guide to add fields to the Pricing Field Catalogues:
For example you want to use field PSTYV ('Sales document item category') that is included in structure KOMP ('Pricing Communication Item') as a key for a condition table.
When you create a condition table (Transaction V/03), however, the system does not propose the field in the field catalog.
Condition access, field catalog, allowed fields, KOMG, KOMK, KOMP, KOMPAZ, KOMKAZ, PSTYV are the other terms which we need to know about, to add Fields.
    Reason and Prerequisites
For technical reasons, field PSTYV was included in structure KOMP, however, not in structure KOMG ('Allowed Fields for Condition Structures').
    Proceed as follows:
    1. Call up the ABAP Dictionary (Transaction SE11) and create data type ZZPSTYV. Choose PSTYV as a domain. As a short text, you can use, for example, 'ZZ - sales document item category' and as a field label, you can use the field labels of PSTYV.Save, check and activate your entries.
    2. Call up structure KOMPAZ in the ABAP Dictionary (Transaction SE11) in the change mode and make the following entry:
    Component   Component type
    ZZPSTYV     ZZPSTYV
Save, check and activate the change you made.
    3. Note:Because of the change in structure KOMPAZ, field ZZPSTYV is now known in structures KOMG and KOMP because structure KOMPAZ is included in both structures.
    4. Call up Transaction SPRO. Navigate to 'Sales and Distribution -> Basic Functions -> Pricing -> Pricing Control' and execute 'Define Condition Tables'.
Choose 'Conditions: Allowed fields' and include ZZPSTYV as a new entry.
    5. Note:Now you can use field ZZPSTYV as a key field when you create a condition table Axxx.
    6. Supply the new field you defined by including the following source code line in USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP:
                  MOVE xxxx-PSTYV TO TKOMP-ZZPSTYV.
In order processing you find the user exit in Include MV45AFZZ, and in billing document processing you find it in Include RV60AFZZ.
Consider that you can also use this note as a help if you want to use other customer-specific fields as key fields in a condition table.
For header fields, use structure KOMKAZ instead of structure KOMPAZ and USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMK instead of USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP.
For more information, see Transaction SPRO via the path 'Sales and Distribution -> System Modifications -> Create New Fields (Using Condition Technique) -> New Fields for Pricing' and OSS Note 21040.

  • User exits-- also ---synchronous and asynchronous struc..

    dear all
pls. let me know the basics of user exits. i have gone thro williams iam unable to follow. does it require abap knowledge. i sincerely request one and all (experts) to let me know about user exits. it seems very imp as per interviews.
also what is synchronous and asynchronous structures whats the difference. can anybody share knowledge on this.
    thanks in advance

    Re: doubt on user exits
    user exits and Badis
User exits is the enhancements provided by SAP
You can use them in transactions. Each transaction will have user exits.
If you want to use your own requirements by making your coding while the transaction is run you can use user exits.
For example if you want to run the MRP in MD02 specific to MRP controller you can user exit.
Please also refer the document below.

The fields which are not in either of the two tables KOMK and KOMP cannot be used in pricing .Sometimes a need arises when the pricing is to be based on some other criteria which is not present in the form of fields in either of the two tables.
In the case of userexit which will be called when invoicing is done ,these
are provided in the include RY60AFZZ which is in the standard SAP program SAPMV45A.

    Naveen.

  • What is menu area? can we create a menu exit with tht?

    Hi experts,
what is menu area? can we create a menu exit with tht? is areamenu(se43n) diff frm menu exit?

    Hi
    Menu Exits
Menu exits add items to the pull down menus in standard SAP applications. You can use these menu items to call up your own screens or to trigger entire add-on applications.
SAP creates menu exits by defining special menu items in the Menu Painter. These special entries have function codes that begin with "+" (a plus sign). You specify the menu item’s text when activating the item in an add-on project.

Once the correct userexit is found the necessary customer code is inserted in the customer include starting with the z.. in the form routine.
    e.g. USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE
Certain application like SD still provide this form of enhancement using userexit but this practice is no longer being followed for newer extensions instead they are using EXITs which come bundeled in enhancement packages .
Press enter and you will find all the includes which contain userexits in SD for different functions like PRICING, ORDER PROCESSING etc. Select the userexit according to the requirement and read the comment inserted in it and start coding .
• Invoice Header Notes 1

    Hi all,
we seem to have an interesting issue when a header text from one order gets onto a header text of the billing document (invoice) of a completely different order, completely different customer and created by a completely different person. Does not seem to happen all the time, so it is hard to reproduce. But there have been quite a few like that.
It seems like the billing document should accept the notes from the order, correct? Is there a some kind of routing I should check to make sure that it is routing the generation of the invoice texts to the correct order?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sergiy

Thanks for your help. I am not much of an ABAPer. Could you give me some hints on how to find out where the custom code would be.
Would I use a regular debugger and run the generation of the invoice through it?
I tried finding userexits in SE80 and there are a few for delivery generation but none appear to be dealing with notes. It appears that it starts grabbing the wrong notes when the delivery is created since the delivery for the order also has the same incorrect notes as the invoice does.
As far as the copy control I am not sure. In SPRO, under logistics execution ->shipping I found copying control for deliveries. Can't seem to make sense of it quite yet, but will keep looking. Any help on this would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot for your help,
    Sergiy

Can someone help me know BadIi / exits for PA20, PA30 and PA40 transaction.

    Hi Megha..
Please refer this BADI ... HRPAD00INFTYDB this may fulfill your needs
    Or try this..
Go to SE18 and search for the BADI names starting with HR*
There you'll see that HRBEN BADIs refer to benefits, HRHAP BADIs refer to appraisals, HRPAY BADIs refer to payroll.
For OM BADIs please search as RH*
For userexits there is a zprogram  code I written below thru which u can find userexits for particular transaction codes..
