Finding virusscan log files

I'm running McAfee VirusScan for Mac. Yesterday it would not update, saying "could not write to ini file". I believe there's a log file somewhere that's full, but I cannot find where it's storing the log files. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

There are two standard locations for log files: /Home/Library/Logs/ and /Library/Logs/. You should open the Console application in the Utilities folder to see if the log files are available there.
.ini files are not log files but rather initialization files. They may be stored elsewhere such as the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder or a folder in /Home/Library/Application Support/. Also check for a folder in /Library/Application Support/ and /Library/Preferences/.

thanks four your post,but thats not the thing i wanted to know. By now I have given it up to look for an anwser for beeing able to debug my applications, because there is no solution (whatever the cause could be).

Where can I find the LOG file for bash/command history typed into Terminal?
For 2 weeks ago I was searching for a log file on my server. Somehow I opend a file where I could see a list of all bash-commands I had ever entered into OSX Terminal.
Now I need this file.. but cant find it.
What is the official location for this LOG file?

You need to configure the log level and events for the EIM component.
You can go to Administration Server Configuration > Servers and choose the EIM Component.

Here we have installed J2EE Engine & JDI on seperate machine.We have developed a new FPM application. The application is not working it is giving the error when run the application. It is giving the error "500 Internal Server Error Failed to process request. Please contact your system administrator". We want to see the log file what the error is, where can we find the log file.

OneDrive for Business - where do I find a log file?

I'm having problems with MS OneDrive for Business and SharePoint 2013:
I tried to copy a lot of documents at once into my local SharePoint directory, synced with a SharePoint library.
Now, there is a problem with the syncing process and some (most) of those documents are not uploaded to SharePoint. They have a little red rectangle with a white cross on their icon.
I had similar problems when copying forbidden file types (like .exe files) or files with forbidden characters in their name (e. g. "&" and after removing them locally, the sync could proceed.
I did not find any of them, so I'm not sure where the syncing process gets stuck.
Is there a log file for this sync process in SharePoint or in Windows 7 locally where I can see at which point the sync process hangs?
Any help is appreciated

Where to find BIP log file in version 10.3.4.1

OBIEE 1.3.4.1 on Linux. I have set Server Configuration option Debug Level=Debug. But where can I find the error log file. Often I see error The report cannot be rendered because of an error, please contact the administrator. when configure a report, where can I find the error log?
Search the furom and find a post talking about log file for 11g in. Found it. BIEE_HOME\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\servers\bi_server1\logs\bipublisher
But it is not the case in 10.3.4.1.

I am using include directive for including a jsp and i am able to trace the errors in a log file(say mod_servj) but when i use action directive i am unable to find the errors.Can anyone please help me out.

Try to check in the following location
/u02/soasitap/sitap/FMW_HOME/user_projects/domains/sit_domain/servers/
AdminServer/logs/AdminServer.log
The same way you can check the log file for the SOA server also.

I have a problem with deploying a web dynpro application. There are no errors before deployment but when I deploy the application, I get a deployment error with the following description.
I tried to view the trace or log file but we have SAP installed on a linux OS and I do not know where can we see the log or trace file. Please help.

You can set the trace level in the SAP/Java Gui dynamically :
Call transaction SMICM
Choose the menu Goto → Trace Level → Set
In the pop-up window, set the desired level (0,1,2,3)
To switch on an /nSMICM or ICM HTTP trace via command line you should go to
usr\sap\<SID>\<instance_number>\exe directory and run the icmon program with the following command:
icmon◦◦pf=\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\profile\<SID>_<instance_name>_<HOST>
where you fill in the SID, instance name and host corresponding to your system.
The icmon program is interactive and to increase trace level you must write
"+" and pres enter.To quit you must write "q" and press enter.
The trace will be written◦to the following file: usr\sap\<SID>\<instance_number>\work\dev_icm

Log and trace messages are written in <installation_path>j2eeclusterserver0log<b>defaultTrace.trc</b>. But it's very hard to read this file's content with a text editor... So you should use the LogViewer utility. You can use either the standalone or the integrated LogViewer that you can find in <i>J2EE Visual Administrator -> Server XX -> Services -> LogViewer</i>.
