Finding which forms an element is on

Hello from the Land of Lincoln;
How can I find elements on forms? Is there a query for that?
Also, can I limit the form search to only forms where the element is updated (and not display only)
ex: element table_job_position shows up on which forms?
Thanks
Holly

This is a query for the Forms forum, not here.
You may want to have a go at producing documentation for your form
Depending on the version, you want to use something like:
ifcmp60 userid=user/password module=<formname> module_type=form forms_doc=yes
Then you can look at the generated output and
- easily grep or search for specific field names
- with more difficulty, search for updateable fields
Go to the Forms forum and ask again!!

    With elements you mean table columns?
    There is no easy way to find out what columns are used in what forms. You could make XML versions of the Forms (if you use Forms 9.0.4 or later) and use any text searching tool to search for a known column name in the XML files.
    There are third party tools that can do this. The function is usually referred to as Impact Analysis. Do a google search on "Oracle Forms" "impact analysis" and you'll find them.

  • How to find which form function is accessed by user recently.

    Hi Experts,
    I have to find out which form function is accessed by user recently, we can find out what was the last form user accessed using FND_LOGIN_RESP_FORMS table.
    thanks,
    Chukky

    Hi,
    I have no idea about any differences in this table between 11i (11.5.10.2) and R12.
    If you can give me some information that how ICX_SESSIONS and ICX_TRANSACTIONS table gets populated.I do not think you will find details about these two tables as Oracle does not support access to Oracle applications data using this object, except from standard Oracle Applications programs (check eTRM).
    Log a SR, and see if Oracle Support would provide you with more details.

  • How to find which form fields are duplicated

    OK I've been making several forms in PDF to merge together at a later date. Now I merged them but its telling me I have multiple form text fields that are named the same. How can I find out all of which form text fields are named the same so I can change them. Is there a search function to do that or not?
    -Darian

    Thank you for your response and if i wanted to remove the form fields then this would defiantly help me. I am actually trying to put a few different PDFs together to make one big PDF and I have form fields that are named the same, per the message I get when merging 2 PDF docs. Because there is so many form fields to go through I was wanting to know if there was a quick way to see all the form fields that are named the same so I can go change the name of them. I want to keep all the form fields just cant have any of them named the same. thanks

    Hi,
    Edit form
    You use this form to create or change individual documents (for example, single news items). Typically, this form contains input fields in which you can create content (for example, the title or text for a news item).
    Show form
    You use this form to display a single document. Typically, the Show form displays all elements of a document (for example, the title, author, and all the text contained in a news item). Do not use entry controls on the Show form.
    RenderListItem form
    You use this form to define the layout of a list entry in a folder in the flexible user interface. Typically, you display some of the elements of a document, such as the title and summary of a news item, on this form. You call up the Show form if you want to display the entire document.
    You do not create pushbuttons or links for creating, changing, or deleting XML documents in the RenderListItem form. You define which commands are to be displayed using command groups of the flexible user interface. You can create several iViews for displaying the same XML documents with different command groups.
    ListEdit form
    You use this form to change a list of documents. Typically, this form contains pushbuttons for creating, changing, and deleting entries. You call up the Edit form if you want to change or create content. You call up the Show form if you want to display all entries.
      ListShow form
    You use this form to display a list of documents. Typically, this form only displays part of a document element (for example, the title of a news item). You call up the Show form if you want to display the entire document.

  • Finding the form number - Simple Q !

    I am trying to process the form values inside a PL/SQL block on that page. I get the values and after processing I insert the values into a table. I have created a PL/SQL block.. and I am sure the block is called properly because everything is processsed but the form element processing which is based on the fxx.COUNT varible
    How should I find the form number ..?
    for use in the variable..apex_application.g_f??..
    I have tried in another application and used f01 and it worked fine. I guess the other application was a demo application and it was the first form I used in that application.

    Since we don't know what you are using to create the fxx.... items, we can work backwards from the form itself.
    View the source of your rendered page and locate the HTML tag for one of the checkboxes. [<input type="checkbox" name="f??" value="???">] The value in the 'name' attribute is the fxx value that you are looking for. It is either assigned by APEX or by code on the page, depending on what was used to create the items themselves.

    HI
    You cannot just simply convert one string to xstring and then set it in pdfsource to get the pdf.
    what is required is little bit lengthy than wht you are doing right now.
    you need to use adobe live cycle designer to design the form first and bound the layout UIs there to the context and then
    when the pdf wll be generated it will have the data.
    1. Go to transaction SFP ad create one interface there with some parameter say data.
    2. create a form based on this interface.
    3. in the template source property of the UI give the form you have created it will automatically create context for the import
    parameter that you have given in the interface.
    4. now you need to double click on the interactive form UI to open Adobe live cycle designer to design the layout of the form to
      display the data that you will get form the import parameter.
    5. pass the required data to the context which is created as the import parameter
    these are the steps required to create a PDF form having the data passed by you from the programm dynamically.
    here is a link for a demo tutorial.

  • Javascript: parent.framename.document.forms[i].elements.length

    I have a PHP-Script 1 with an iframe.
    In this iframe an other PHP-Script 2 is loaded, which contains several forms.
    In one of this forms I make a call by button with onclick="..." to a javascript-function.
    The javascript-function is contained in an external file *.js. Declaration in PHP-Script 2: &lt;Script type="text/javascript" src="WartArtikel-Probe.js"&gt;&lt;/Script&gt;.
    Inside the javascript-function I use:
    Scenario 1:
    var i = 0;
    var anzelem = parent.framename.document.forms[i].elements.length;
    or:
    var anzelem = parent.frames[0].document.forms[i].elements.length;
    or:
    var anzelem = window.document.forms[i].elements.length;
    When I press the button, the javascript-function gives no answer.
    But when I start PHP-Script 2 directly (not inside an iframe) and the javascript-function is written as:
    Scenario 2:
    var i = 0;
    var anzelem = document.forms[i].elements.length;
    this example works!
    How can I get an answer in scenario 1?
    Additional suggestion: Is it possible to switch the browser into a development-modus, where javascript-syntax-errors are displayed? This could be very helpful!

    To view script errors, you can keep the Browser Console open in a separate window. To open that, you can use either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+j
    * "3-bar" menu button > Developer > Browser Console
    * Tools menu > Web Developer > Browser Console
    My guess is you will find some kind of security related issue.

    I was getting an error when I was trying to validate the following XML file as below:

  • Create Interactive Form UI element Dynamically

    Hi Experts,
    I have a requirement according to which i need to create multiple PDF forms at runtime.
    The approach that i would be using is creating interactive form U I element at runtime.
    So as a test application in a views wdDoModifyView i added the below
    In the do modify view i have added the below piece of code
    if (!firstTime)
                   IWDNodeInfo l_sel_nodeInfo =
                        wdContext.nodeCtx_vn_binary().getNodeInfo();
                   IWDAttributeInfo l_attrInfo =
                        l_sel_nodeInfo.getAttribute(
                             IPrivateAdobeView1.ICtx_vn_binaryElement.CTX__VA__BINARY);
                   if (view.getElement("adobeFrm") == null) {
                        IWDTransparentContainer container =
                             (IWDTransparentContainer) view.getElement(
                                  "RootUIElementContainer");
                        IWDInteractiveForm adobeFrm =
                             (IWDInteractiveForm) view.createElement(
                                  IWDInteractiveForm.class,
                                  "adobeFrm");
                        adobeFrm.bindDataSource(
                             wdContext.nodeCtx_vn_adobe().getNodeInfo());
                        adobeFrm.setMode(WDInteractiveFormMode.UPDATE_DATA_IN_PDF);
                        adobeFrm.setTemplateSource("AdobeView1_InteractiveForm.xdp");
                        adobeFrm.setDisplayType(WDInteractiveFormDisplayType.NATIVE);
                        adobeFrm.bindPdfSource(l_attrInfo);
                        adobeFrm.setVisible(WDVisibility.VISIBLE);
                        container.addChild(adobeFrm);
                        adobeFrm.setTemplateSource("AdobeView1_InteractiveForm.xdp");
    But now i am stuck at this point as its giving me null pointer exception on execution.
    Could some one provide me links to the tutorials which contains dynamic creation of Interactive form UI element
    Thanks in advance!!!

    Hi Rekha ,
    I do have this link but as per this tutorial the layout of adobe form is generated during design time whereas i need to create the mulitple PDF at runtime.These PDF need to be displayed to the user . The approach that i am using is to create Interactiveform  U I element at runtime.
    The  code that i tried is already provided in my first post.I need some more concrete tutorials /examples for this.
    Basically i need to know how to add elements like a table/textfield and data within those table/ textfields  in an adobe form(Interactive form UI element) at runtime.

    Navya.

  • How to find the form name  from VA02 T.code

    how to find the form name  from VA02 T.code

    Hi Rajyam,
    I guess you are looking out for the formname which prints sales related documents.
    If this is what you want,then go to the T-code NACE and select the option K1Sales activities and click on the Output Types button on the top.The new window has all the types of Output types listed.Select the most appropriate and double click on the Processing routines button in the left side screen.
    The new window lists the program names and the forms associated with that output type.
    In case you have any further clarifications,do let me know.

  • How to find which authentication used to site collection and site using powershell

    Hi,
    How to find  how-many web app, sitecollection, site used Windows authentication,claim authentication and classic, secure store authention , adfs authentication using powershell code in sharepoint 2013.
    If sites are used adfs authentication how to find which email id used for that.
    Thanks,

    Authentication is only defined at the Web Application level, and the only valid auth methods are Classic (Windows (Basic/NTLM/Kerberos)), Claims (Windows (Basic/NTLM/Kerberos)), FBA Claims, , SAML Claims (ADFS), and Anonymous.
    You can find out what authentication scheme(s) are enabled via:
    $wa = Get-SPWebApplication http://webApp1$wa.IisSettings["Default"] #replace with the zone name you're interested in
    The output will look similar to this:
    PS C:\Users\trevor> $wa.IisSettings["Default"]
    AuthenticationMode : Forms
    MembershipProvider : i
    RoleManager : c
    AllowAnonymous : False
    EnableClientIntegration : True
    ServerBindings : {Microsoft.SharePoint.Admini
    stration.SPServerBinding}
    SecureBindings : {}
    UseWindowsIntegratedAuthentication : True
    UseBasicAuthentication : False
    DisableKerberos : True
    ServerComment : SharePoint
    Path : C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\Virtu
    alDirectories\spwebapp180
    PreferredInstanceId : 42768054
    UseClaimsAuthentication : True
    ClaimsAuthenticationRedirectionUrl :
    UseFormsClaimsAuthenticationProvider : False
    FormsClaimsAuthenticationProvider :
    UseTrustedClaimsAuthenticationProvider : False
    UseWindowsClaimsAuthenticationProvider : True
    OnlyUseWindowsClaimsAuthenticationProvider : True
    WindowsClaimsAuthenticationProvider : Microsoft.SharePoint.Adminis
    tration.SPWindowsAuthenticat
    ionProvider
    ClaimsAuthenticationProviders : {Windows Authentication}
    ClaimsProviders : {}
    ClientObjectModelRequiresUseRemoteAPIsPermission : True
    UpgradedPersistedProperties : {}
    So on this Web Application in the Default Zone you can tell I have Windows Claims enabled, not using Kerberos (so using NTLM), and Trusted (SAML/ADFS) is not enabled, neither is Forms or Anonymous.

  • Very big problem with JSF about FORM and "id=" for HTML form's elements and

    I have discovered a very big problem with JSF about FORM and "id=" for HTML form's elements and java instruction "request.getParameterNames()".
    Suppose you have something like this, to render some datas form a Java Beans :
    <h:dataTable value="#{TablesDb2Bean.myDataDb2ListSelection}" var="current" border="2" width="50%" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2" style="text-align: center">
    <h:column>
    <f:facet name="header">
    <h:outputText value="Name"/>
    </f:facet>
    <h:outputText id="nameTableDb2" value="#{current.db2_name_table}"/>
    </h:column>
    </h:dataTable>
    Everything works fine...
    Suppose you want to get the name/value pairs for id="nameTableDb2" and #{current.db2_name_table} to process them in a servlet. Here is the HTML generated :
    <td><span <span class="attribute-name">id=<span class="attribute-value">"j_id_jsp_1715189495_22:0:nameTableDb2">my-table-db2-xxxxx</span></td>
    You think you can use the java instructions :
    Enumeration NamesParam = request.getParameterNames();
    while (NomsParam.hasMoreElements()) {
    String NameParam = (String) NamesParam.nextElement();
    out.println("<h4>"++NameParam+ "+</h4>);
    YOU ARE WRONG : request.getParameterNames() wants the syntax *name="nameTableDb2" but JSF must use id="nameTableDb2" for "<h:outputText"... So, you can't process datas in a FORM generated with JSF in a Servlet ! Perhaps I have made an error, but really, I wonder which ?

    While I certainly appreciate ejb's helpful responses, this thread shows up a difference in perspective between how I read the forum and how others do. Author ejb is correct in advising you to stay inside JSF for form processing if form processing is what you want to do.
    However, I detect another aspect to this post which reminds me of something Marc Andreesen once said when he was trying to get Netscape off the ground: "there's no such thing as bad HTML."
    In this case, I interpret ungar's request as a new feature request. Can I phrase it like this?
    "Wouldn't it be nice if I could render my nice form with JSF but, in certain cases, when I REALLY know what I'm doing" just post out to a separate servlet? I know that in this case I'll be missing out on all the nice validation, conversion, l10n, i18n, ajax, portlet and other features provided by JSF".
    If this is the case, because it really misses the point of JSF, we don't allow it, but we do have an issue filed for it
    https://javaserverfaces-spec-public.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=127
    If you can't wait for it to be fixed, you could decorate the FormRenderer to fix what you want.
    I have an example in my JSF book that shows how to do this decoration. http://bit.ly/edburnsjsf2

  • Issues in creating Interactive Form UI element at runtime.

    Hi Experts,
    I have a requirement according to which i need to create multiple PDF forms at runtime.This i need to do using webdynpro Java.
    The approach that i would be using is creating interactive form U I element at runtime.
    So in a test application in  views wdDoModifyView i added the below code i.e.
    In the do modify view i have added the below piece of code
    if (!firstTime)
                   IWDNodeInfo l_sel_nodeInfo =
                        wdContext.nodeCtx_vn_binary().getNodeInfo();
                   IWDAttributeInfo l_attrInfo =
                        l_sel_nodeInfo.getAttribute(
                             IPrivateAdobeView1.ICtx_vn_binaryElement.CTX__VA__BINARY);
                   if (view.getElement("adobeFrm") == null) {
                        IWDTransparentContainer container =
                             (IWDTransparentContainer) view.getElement(
                                  "RootUIElementContainer");
                        IWDInteractiveForm adobeFrm =
                             (IWDInteractiveForm) view.createElement(
                                  IWDInteractiveForm.class,
                                  "adobeFrm");
                        adobeFrm.bindDataSource(
                             wdContext.nodeCtx_vn_adobe().getNodeInfo());
                        adobeFrm.setMode(WDInteractiveFormMode.UPDATE_DATA_IN_PDF);
                        adobeFrm.setTemplateSource("AdobeView1_InteractiveForm.xdp");
                        adobeFrm.setDisplayType(WDInteractiveFormDisplayType.NATIVE);
                        adobeFrm.bindPdfSource(l_attrInfo);
                        adobeFrm.setVisible(WDVisibility.VISIBLE);
                        container.addChild(adobeFrm);
                        adobeFrm.setTemplateSource("AdobeView1_InteractiveForm.xdp");
    But now i am stuck at this point as its giving me null pointer exception on execution.
    Could some one provide me links to the tutorials which contains dynamic creation of Interactive form UI element.
    I do have links which show creation of input fields at run time  but couldn't get any on creation of Interactive Form UI element at runtime (dynamically).
    Thanks in advance!!!

    Hello Dan,
    About the license issue, take a look at the <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/interactiveforms">Adobe Interactive forms section on SDN</a> on the right side there is a FAQ. In the FAQ there is something mentioned about license.
    When you are using NWDS04s the Adobe Document Service (ADS) is already installed. You only need to configure the ADS. Take a look at <a href="http://service.sap.com/adobe">http://service.sap.com/adobe</a> on the left click on "Media Library" --> "Documentation".
    When you want to make use of Adobe Interactive forms you need a Adobe Reader 7.x.x or higher.
    Hope it helps.
    Kind regards,
    Maarten.

  • Which user has which forms open?

    is it possible to find out which forms currently are open by which OS-user?
    i'm looking for informations like in v$session view. here i see who is connected to a certain instance and how (ifweb90.exe,rwbuilder.exe).
    i don't need to populate this information, it's just for the admins.

    You can use the DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO package to set the spare columns in V$Session, but you'll have to add code to the forms to do this.
