Firefox Developer Edition constantly asks me to update

I am using Firefox Developer Edition 37.0a2 and every start of browser is asks me to update to version 37.0a2. Even when I click to update it is trying to connect to the server and that is only thing that I see.
I did run firefox in safe mode. The result is the same.
I copied my old profile from firefox 35 to firefox 37.0a2. Is there some file with firefox version name or something else is provoking this error?

I think the rebranding was a good idea.
I am all for increased promotion for testing pre release versions it helps users identify & report problems to. It enables users to see new features earlier.
The only disadvantage is the danger of attracting novice or naive users that are going to have problems but not report them or being unable to downgrade to a working release. The Developer Edition sidesteps the last issue as it is a separate install with its own profile, and the name will put off novices.

Firefox Developer Edition won't launch (Win7 64-bit)

Hi,
I am running Windows 7 64-bit with the latest Windows updates. When I click the icon to launch Firefox Developer Edition, it will not launch and immediately open the Mozilla Crash Reporter. Details from the Crash reporter are below.
Things I have tried:
-Booting into Safe Mode by holding Shift key.
-Run Windows Memory Diagnostics (returned no errors).
-Updated Windows to latest updates.
-Perform a clean re-install (uninstall Firefox, deleting profiles, clearing keys from Windows Registry).
-Closed my antivirus (Kaspersky) before launching.
No matter what I do, FDE will crash at launch. Regular Firefox works just fine (which is odd to me). FDE works just fine with my same sync profile and same plugins on my Macbook Pro, but on my Windows 7 machine it crashes every time.
Please help! I love Firefox Developer Edition.

Thanks for your help so far. I really appreciate it.
I have installed the latest drivers for my graphics card. I am unable to start Firefox in Safe Mode. I hold Shift and click the FirefoxDeveloperEdition and I get the Mozilla Crash Reporter just the same. Is there another way to enable Safe Mode or maybe disable hardware acceleration?

What happened to Aurora? It suddenly became Firefox Developer Edition on my computer. My bookmarks and addons all disappeared.

I think Aurora updated before I turned off my computer. When I booted up again, Firefox Developer Edition appeared in place of Aurora. My bookmarks and addons all disappeared.

Is there an Firefox Developer Edition offline version?

I have tried to install it on my school computer but I need the administrator password for it to install. I asked the IT guys, and they tried to install it with the admin password, but it got stuck. They said i need the offline installer for it to be able to work.
Where can I find the offline installer if you have one?

Firefox Developer Edition not working.

I have downloaded Firefox Developer Edition version to try out. Download completed and verifies the process and than it pops with a error message:
“FirefoxDeveloperEdition” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image.
Tired to re-download many times but it pops with same message.
Is this a bug on Firefox side or is there any other solution to make it work?

See if this works for you.
Open up Tools > Options -> General and toggle the first preference - '''Allow Firefox Developer Edition and Firefox to run at the same time''' - to get back to your previous Aurora Profile. It will tell you to restart Firefox.
If there's a check-mark in the box for that pref it shows the Aurora Profile, if you remove that check-mark it shows the Developer Edition Profile.

Firefox preview browser keeps asking for flash update?

My html opens fine in EI preview but when I try to open it in
Firefox preview it asks me to update the Flash software. I have
install and uninstall four time and the adobe site says I have the
latest software loaded. Why am I getting this message. I can view
Firefox Flash on other sites but not in Dreamweaver software.
Please advise....anyone?

I lose firefox when it updates mcafee is allowing full access can get firefox 3.5 it asks me to update which I do but then when I go into it again it goes back to 3.5 saying need update. Please help me its driving me nuts

Hi. We had Firefox 5 (I think) but when it updates itself we lose connection. I contact Mcafee who said that Firefox is not being blocked by Firewall but has full access and to contact you.
Have gone into the old version we had 3.5 (which I CAN access) and it tells me for safety to install new version which I do but then I cannot get into it. Hope this makes sense as am PC idiot. Please help. Thanks

Firefox constantly asks me to update as I am using an old version, however after I update it still tells me that I need to update WHY?

I was asked to update my version of Firefox a few weeks ago when I opened my Google email account. This I did and downloaded Firefox version 7.01 and installed it. As soon as I reopened my Google account, it told me again that I need to download the recent version of Firefox, which I did again, thinking that there was a more recent version, but once again there was Firefox 7.01. This I have done 3 times now and still my laptop and Google main tells me to download the most recent version, what do I have to do to stop this ridiculous scenario?

In FIrefox Develop Edition, new tabs are always blank.

When I click on a link, the new tabs works as it's supposed to. When I click on the plus sign at the top of Firefox, all tabs open blank. I don't get thumbnails of most frequent sites and I don't get Google. Either of those options would be great.

Cloud is constantly asking me to update apps...

I keep updating my cloud apps but the little CC icon consistently shows the same 3 apps (PS ID and AE) need to be updated. Getting a little sick of this. I keep updating but it keeps coming back.

I am not sure if you are using Mac or windows.
You will need to uninstall Creatvie Cloud app and reinstall from http://creative.adobe.com
for windows: Go to start > control panel > Programs and Features
then uninstall adobe Creative Cloud.
For Mac: Open Finder then Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installer
then Uninstall adobe Creative Cloud.

Youtube video is blank,but audio played well. other browser such as chrome got no problem with it. FF Developer Edition.

Has the S4 Developer Edition been updated since 4.2.2?

I purchased the S4 Developer Edition thinking it would get updates at least as soon as the regular retail version. My phone is currently at 4.2.2. Is this the latest OTA for the Developer Edition? I spoke with Samsung support and they said it should have been updated but when I called Verizon I was told it was not updated. I never know when I call Verizon if I'm getting someone just reading a screen or someone who really knows what they are talking about. Has anyone else with a Developer Edition S4 received any updates beyond 4.2.2?
