Firefox exits fullscreen with 2 monitors

I am using 2 monitor, identified as display-1 and display-2.
I split 1 window of the Firefox in the display-1 and another in display-2.
I set display-1 to full screen (using the HTML5 video API), then I focus in the display-2. Just after focusing on display-2, display-1 exits fullscreen with the Title Bar showing on top.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/995644 don't helped me.
navigator.userAgent = "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0"

So if you zoom in and out on the second screen the first one goes out of full screen mode.
I also noticed on the bug that was references that the feature full-screen-api.exit-on-deactivate is no longer visible in about:config. It is possible to add it back. Right click on the about:config page and add a new entry.
Does adding it back make a difference?

  • Flash crashes when in fullscreen with two monitors

    I have had this problem for several weeks now. It has been absolutely obnoxious. In a nutshell, when I full screen a video that is using Flash (youtube or twitch) and click on my my other browser on my other monitor, Firefox freezes up. Hard. It doesn't matter if it is Display 1 or 2; Fullscreen + clicking on other browser causes the crash every time except for the first few times after closing and reloading Firefox. I have tried turning Hardware Acceleration on and off, I have re-installed Firefox and Flash several times, and still have this issue. Once the issue happens, the only way to get out of it is to control-alt-delete and close Plug-in Container. This closes Flash and gives me access back to Firefox. Most annoying.
    http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2919359 was my original post I made on a different support site but I decided to go straight to the source. I would appreciate any help or advice. Thanks!

    You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
    *Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

    When i select the "Full Screen" option in video streams (like youtube, veoh, anything like that) i can do that one(1) time second(2nd) time the screen goes blank and can only exit it with the escape(Esc) button and then i have to restart firefox and again i have my one "Full-screen Ticket"

    I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
    When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
    At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
    I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

  • Firefox exits DOM fullscreen when clicked on a swf, how do I have a div that contains flash in a DOM fullscreen?

    I am trying to make a div that contains flash to go fullscreen
    The markup:
    <div id="outer">
    <div id="top"/>
    <div id="flashContent"/>
    <div id="bottom"/>
    </div>
    This wiorks
    if (outer.mozRequestFullScreen) { outer.mozRequestFullScreen();}
    But when I click on a div #flashContent the browser exits fullscreen immediately. This happens only in Firefox, all other browsers stay in fullscreen. Is there a solution?

  • Firefox not remembering window size with two monitors

    I have a laptop with a monitor attached - both the laptop monitor and external monitor are used as separate desktops. I have Firefox set to open on the external monitor, but it does not remember the last window size: it always opens to the size of the laptop monitor. Firefox is the only program that exhibits this behavior. I have reset, uninstalled and re-installed, yet the same behavior continues. Before re-installing, I've made sure to delete any left over Mozilla/Firefox folders.

    As far as I can tell this problem was never fixed and it goes back years:

  • MozCancelFullScreen() not working and firefox not exiting fullscreen even though this function was called on document

    I have a container which gets into full screen mode using mozRequestFullScreen() API but I want to get back to non-fullscreen mode after one of my custom event is fired.
    As soon as my custom event is fired, I call mozCancelFullScreen() API to exit full screen but this seems to be not working. Firefox is not exiting fullscreen even though this function was called on document.
    I have to press "Esc" to get into non-fullscreen mode.
    I am uding Firefox 21.0 version.

  • Dual Monitor Exiting Fullscreen!

    I have tried really hard to find a solution to this, but latest news is from 2010?!
    I use 2 screens, I have 2 screens!
    And most often the main thing I am doing is only needing 1 screen, so the other one is perfect for watching a movie, watching youtube, watching streams.
    But 2 days ago, something that makes me wanna gnaw my face off started to happen.
    So
    1. I go fullscreen on my secondary
    2. I click anywhere on my main screen
    3. This is leading to secondary fullscreen is exiting <,<
    Please help me, I have tried the solutions from 2010 but obviously those ask you to mod outdated versions of Flash Player.
    PS. This allso happens if I AltTab, so anything that makes the fullscreen not being the top window will make it exit fullscreen. Please help!

    I finally solved it, it was in fact Google Chromes fault, no idea why.
    There was no setting, that I chould find. But by reseting it all fullscreen started working like it should
    Windows 8.1
    Google Chrome
    Still interested in knowing what started this problem.

  • Im trying to use firefox in fullscreen, but when i watch a video in fullscreen, and exit the video fullscreen, firefox also exits fullscreen.

    I made a website which runs locally in a public museum. So I need to use firefox in fullscreen always, so that the customers would not have acces anywhere else but the site I created. I used HTML5, and JWPlayer for watching the videos.
    There was no problem like this in the computer I made the site, but in the exhibition computer this problem appeared. I tried to run it in Kiosk mode using R-Kiosk, but it did no good.

  • Fullscreen on one monitor, while working on the other?

    Mac Pro running Maverick OSX. When I go into fullscreen with youtube on one monitor, and click anywhere on my secondary monitor: Youtube exits fullscreen.
    I've tested this with another machine running OSX Mountain Lion. With Mountain Lion I can have one monitor in fullscreen while working in the other monitor.
    Is there a way to do this with mavericks?
    My secondary monitor is a Cintiqu 13, I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

    About the only thing you can do with Premiere is export out a sequence in the background while you continue working, then bring that back into Premiere and lay it down above the original sequence.
    Of course, if you wish to continue working on the same sequence, this won't work.
    Background rendering would be a very welcome addition to Premiere.  Hell even Encore can do that.

  • [Non IE Regression] Support for full screen mode with multiple monitors

    This seems to be a regression with Flash Player v11.2.202.x (for all other browsers).
    With Internet Explorer it is still working.
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/890/cpsid_89050.html
    == Support for full screen mode with multiple monitors ==
    Full screen content will remain in full-screen on secondary monitors, allowing users to watch full-screen content while working on another display.
    Tested on Windows 7 x64 SP1 with:
    - Internet Explorer 9
    - Firefox Release, Beta, Aurora, Nightly
    - Opera 12 build 1116
    In bugbase.adobe.com I cannot choose v11.2.x

  • Weird behavior exiting fullscreen from IE need help

    I have been making a cylindrical panorama with flash and away3d. I set up a fullscreen button that allows user to enter fullscreen and exit it. This works great in firebox and opera, but when I exit fullscreen from Internet explorer the flash document is displayed at a 45 degree angle. I am doing this project in as3 and flash cs5. If anyone has any Idea what might be causing this I would really appreciate it. Is there a way to redraw or reload the flash document?
    thanks for any Help:

  • Firefox won't delete cookies even after set to clear cookies on firefox exit

    I have use custom settings for remembering history in firefox.
    I set to clear history on firefox close. Under this settings, I set to clear cookies, active login and cache. But whenever firefox exits it doesn't remove cookies.
    Also, I set to keep cookies till firefox closes. Still the cookies appears.
    This is a big security issue for me..When I click restore previous session, firefox restores the login into sites also which I don't want

    Got It!!!
    Go To: Firefox/Tools/Options/Privacy/Tracking Checked box/Tell websites I do not want to be tracked/ History Firefox will: Never Remember History/ You may also want to: clear all current history/ Clear now/ click OK, ---> got it, that is your answer.<-- (Right click the left image below to open in a new tab)
    And it is my answer as well, as I was confounded with this problem for some time. Now after you do this close your Firefox browser, and open back up Firefox browser, and there will be maybe only one or two cookies, depending on your browsers' home page.
    I tried other methods to get rid of persistent cookies that would not delete by, CookieKiller, and TACO Targeted Advertising Cookie Opt-Out, those did not help, and I tried the methods listed on these links but they did not work:http://webdevwonders.com/clear-dom-storage/
    Also this method did not work:http://justplainobvious.blogspot.com/2009/03/firefox-wont-delete-cookies.html
    Next to make your Firefox browsing possible, go to/Firefox/Tools/Options/Privacy/,Tracking Checked box/Tell websites I do not want to be tracked, History Firefox will: Use custom settings for history, unchecked box Always use private browsing mode, unchecked box Remember my browsing history, unchecked box Remember download history, unchecked box Remember search and form history, checked box Accept cookies from sites, checked box Accept third party cookies, Keep until: I close Firefox, checked box clear history when Firefox closes, /settings all nine boxes checked/ click --->OK! (Right click the right image below to open in a new tab)
    All Cookies are gone/history/deleted.

  • Can't exit fullscreen DVD playback

    Hello, I'm working on my first Director/DVD project, but have
    found that I can't exit fullscreen playback mode when the project
    is compiled as a projector (I can exit out of fullscreen fine in
    the authoring environment). In fact, it seems as though the
    application stops responding to all user input (mouse&
    keyboard) when playing back fullscreen (the cursor disappears also,
    although since it is playing back DTS I would imagine that is
    normal?).
    Is there anyway to interact with a projector in fullscreen
    DVD mode? thanks

    I see nobody answered you on this, but if you figure it out,
    could you
    provide the answer for future reference?
    Thanks!

  • OpenGL freezes computer with dual monitors and fglrx

    I am trying to use the fglrx driver, and with a single monitor I seem to have gotten everything working.
    However I am running into issues with two monitors. Basically, when I have two monitors any opengl program doesn't run properly.
    There are two cases. If I use the xorg.conf generated by "aticonfig --initial", it still seems to detect the other monitor (although there is a black region on my gnome desktop). If an opengl program is run, the screen goes crazy where random pixels are changing different colors. I can end the program, and everything goes back to normal.
    Using the program "amdcccle" I generated xorg.conf for dual monitors (I pasted it below). When I use this configuration, any opengl program completely freezes the computer instantly.
    I have been looking for a while, but have not found any information that might lead to a solution. Does anyone here have any advice?

    Hello.
    I put my second monitor of a dual monitor set-up to the left of the main monitor - the one with the FC application, keyboard and mouse, etc. Trouble is the mouse kept hitting the left hand wall of my main monitor when I tried to send it to the second monitor. After a while I realized the mouse/computer thinks the second monitor is to its right, so I have to exit the right hand side of the main monitor to get to the one on the left.
    Is there any way to instruct FC and the mouse that the second monitor is on the left? Can the mouse be instructed to "pass" through the left hand wall of the main monitor rather than the right? Or must the second monitor always go the right of the main monitor?
    Thanks.
