First imovie project suddenly erased. How do i get it back??

I just made my first imovie project and when I was done I made sure to finalize it. A day later, I tried to reopen it through Finder-->Movies-->iMovie Projects-->My First Project. I dragged the "my first project" onto my desktop so itd be easier to get to and then i opened it with iMovie. I double clicked the project and all of a sudden it wasn't there. It was erased. How do i get it back?? I literally pressed nothing else and now cannot find it anywhere on my computer. Help please!!

That's not optional.
Projects can only be handled INSIDE the app.
You should find your Project listed in your iMovies Project Library…

You have Zoom on... double tap with three fingers to turn it off. Go into Settings > General > Accessibility to disable it.

Safari, being one of the preinstalled apps, can't be erased.
Check your Restrictions. Or look for the Safari icon on other pages.

You don't. When you log out of iMessage, you quit all active chats and the thread goes away. Same as if you close a chat or quit iChat on your computer.

There are a number of things that could be causing safari to be slow.
I'd try a few simple things first:
1. restart safari
2. restart your computer
3. empty the cache (under the Safari menu).

Reinstall it:
Install or Reinstall OS X from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
      left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
      the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
      the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
           because it is three times faster than wireless.
This should install the version of OS X that you had installed.

Did you have them after updating Firefox, or did you lose your passwords as well. If you lost everything you either created a new profile and are in it, or you accidentally/intentionally cleared your history (see picture link). If you cleared your history, the changes are permanent and they are gone.
If you cleared your history, except for bookmarks in backups, you will have to try for
#Data in an older profile, for most people this would only be if one accidentally created a new profile, such as during a Firefox installation.

Use the "Alt" key to temporarily see your toolbars. Use the view menu to display any toolbars that should be displayed, such as the Bookmarks Toolbar.
Check these:

.exs is erased, how can I get it back?

Earlier today (1/16/08) I started a song and added a part using 'Cleopatra Chord' and saved it and left to do other stuff. When I returned later in the day I opened the song and as Garageband was loading a message appeared saying that "The file Hybrid Chords.exs is not an EXS instrument file"
At first I didn't think anything of it but when I played the song the 'Cleopatra Chord' wasn't right and I figured out, after much tinkering, that the generator wasn't correct.
I then found the file titled Hybrid Chords.exs, opened it in TextEdit and found that it was completely empty. I looked at a couple other files and they were fine.
WHAT HAPPENED!!??
The only thing I can think of is that after I closed the project I opened iTunes and it said a new version (7.6) was available along with a Quicktime thing and a Front Row thing. After I loaded the stuff and restart my computer, the files would not load during the process of restarting. I had to restart my computer again.
And now looking at my iTunes, I see I'm still running 7.5.
Can anyone help?

Ok, well I think I know how to fix it, but I need some help.
Can someone go to the Hybrid Chords.exs folder
(Macintosh HD->Library->Application Support->GarageBand->Instrument Library->Sampler
->Sampler Instruments->Hybrid Basic->Hybrid Chords)
and open the file in TextEdit and then copy what's inside then paste it here in a reply?
Then I can copy what you pasted and put it into my Hybrid Chords.exs.
I hope it works.

The speaker in my notes has greyed out all of a sudden. How do I get it back?

I use my notes a lot and use the speaker to input them. All of a sudden the speaker button greyed out and I can't get it to work. Any idea how I can fix this?

Ok, siri is turned on, so I don't think that isn't the problem.
But --- I just checked it again, and lo and behold the speaker is back to black and usable.

"unable to open project" Any ideas how I might get it back?

I am not able to open a project i was working on this morning.
I have no idea why. They only thing I can think of is that after I finished
the project, I saved it to one folder in the drive.
Later, however, I changed my mind and decided to move the project to
a different folder. I got a message something about having to log in as administrator in order to be able to transfer the project from one folder to another, which I thought was weird.
So, now, when I tried to open the project from within FCP,
I get "unable to open project."
And I can't find the project anywhere in my computer.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
More importantly, can i bring back my project?
I checked the "Autovault folder, but it wasn't there either.

Look in the Scratch Disk Settings. Look to see where you're autosaves are kept, and see if there's one there... if you change the location of this folder, you end up with one for each location. So do look where they are currently set to save.
If you have none at all, why not? Did you turn off the autosave feature?

Old compy's hard drive erased-how do i get songs back on new compy?

kinda complicated... had itunes and ipod mini for about 1 1/2 years. My lovely computer's hard drive was completely wiped out by a virus (and i wasnt maintaining it well =/) and my parents bought me a new compy. I still listen to my ipod mini... but i cant upload new songs because i dont even have itunes on my new compy yet... is there any possible way to get those songs back on this new compy without erasing the precious songs on my ipod mini?
