.FLAC, OggVorbis support ... "AutoPlay" switch ... plugins?

As for FLAC, SPEX, OggVorbis, Monkey: it couldbe nice, if Adobe Bridge recognize them directly, including their metadata. A specially FLAC and OggVorbis are widely use for their (losless) compression and very sofisticated IDTag system.
Also "AutoPlay" function (as optional "switch") at Bridge could be useful.
Maybe, the best solution, is to provide some plugin system to Bridge, which can read metadata, preview, content. It could be helpful not only to open-source formats, but also for e.g. Autodesk (DWF, DWG, DXF).

Hi fellow 12.4 beta testers,
It would appear "enum class" isn't supported for switch() statements in the 12.4 beta. This compiles fine under clang and g++. Will this be fixed for the final release? This currently causes compile errors for us, since __cplusplus >= 201103L evaluates to true, so our code uses "enum class" instead of plain "enum". It looks like the C++11 standard says it should be supported:

Thanks for reporting this problem! I have filed bug 18499900.
BTW, according to the C++11 standard, the code is actually not valid. Section 6.4.2, switch statement, says an implicit conversion to an integral type is required, which is not the case for for a scoped enum (one using the "class enum" syntax). This limitation was raised in the C++ Committee as an issue to be fixed, and the C++14 standard makes the code valid.
As a workaround, or to make the code conform to C++11, you can add casts to int for the enum variable and the enumerators.

Do you have specific ones you wish to migrate?
I think with CS6 I believe the underlying architecture for plugins was changed, so you may wish to check with the makers to see if they have CS6 compatible update versions available.
I think some had to be re-written under the new framework to be compatible under CS6.

Professional support for Flash plugin

Is there anyway to get professional support for Flash plugin on Firefox? Been suffering from constant crashes on every PC I use for several years. Standard suggestions like going to old version don't help. Thanks!

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox

Firefox 3.6 is still being supported.

Why does firefox drop support for a plugin with an update

Why the H*ll does Firefox drop support for a plugin when there is an update in Firefox.
FF4 has reported that 6 of my plugins that work fine in 3.6 are now not supported. !! This is a joke, and happens regularly.
As a user (a highly IT literate one) this is annoying and frustrating, and from a design standpoint, unprofessional.

Plugins as in Flash, Java, quicktime or such or do you mean Extensions ?
Plenty of Plugins seems to be detected and in use by Firefox 4.0 just fine according to your system details by your post.
If you meant Extensions then check for updates, look at addons.mozilla.org or the Extension homepage for to see if the author has provided a update.
Generally Extensions can need anywhere from a simple maxversion bump to a lot more for it to work properly on a new Major version of Firefox depending on what the Extension does.
It is professional actually as extensions that were not actually compatible may actually cause problems big or small if they were to still just ''work'' in a new Major version release so hence the need for them to be properly up to date on any changes and hopefully the extension author is quick about it.

The digital components you are using have hidden connections to power and ground, however you need to add VCC and GND to the schematic in order to power the digital ICs.

I don't find how can I activate or install the Shift Switcher plugin for probe new effects "flip3d" and "coverflow".
Where is Shift Switcher plugin?.

You must get the plugin from GIT.
If you're too lazy or don't know how to do that, just run this command:
git clone git://opencompositing.org/fusion/plugins/shift && cd shift && make && make install && cd .. && rm -rf shift
It will install shift plugin (in your ~/.compiz directory, of course).

Will the new update for mozilla support the Realplayer plugin?

before I install the present new upgrade,i'd like to know if the new upgrade supports realplayer plugin as i like to download clips and stuff. when google put in a new upgrade, it disabled Realplayer. If it does, i'll stay with the older version,even though it crashes a lot because of plug-incontainer.exe., which causes the slowness & crashing.

As far as I understand the latest download of Real player requires Window 7 or later. However since the plugin is not in the add ons search I am wondering if it will be disabled. [[Fix problems with RealPlayer add-ons]]

I marked the 4 plugins I will not relinquish even if they are no longer available in higher versions. That case I will not update.
OR, what substitution is available instead of them ?
Anyway, all info I have about Fox plugins that my favs are no longer supported, new versions are coming out more and more often, and this ruins plugin compatibility. I have no specific detailed info, neither have time digging in mozilla forums or support pages for hours. I rarely found useful info there in the past.

since firefox 10 the addon compatibility system has changed to match the new rapid release cycle - so those addons will still be working after each update.

Mac OS Support for Java plugin

Is there a way to auto-install the Java Runtime and plugin for Mac browsers like Internet Explorer and Netscape?
Do the <object classid...> tags work on Macs too?
I do know that Mac OS X shipped with Java 1.3.1. But how can I find out if the plugin is supported by a Mac user's browser?

Does eMac Support KVM Switches?

Does the eMac support video out, i.e. use it with a KVM switch?
I think they're supposed to support dual monitors, but would that work? Also, would using just the keyboard with the KVM work if the eMac doesn't support the video?
I'm looking into getting a Mac Pro and due to small desk space, I was wondering if I could use one monitor/keyboard/mouse with both Macs.

It'll probably depend on the KVM. You can try the mouse through the keyboard, but it may not work that way, particularly with the PC.
does anyone know of a good brand (KVM) to use?
I had good luck with Iogear's units. I had problems with Macs with the Belkin KVMs. Others here may have other suggestions.

Does firefox 3.6.3 have a plug-in? I read in Facebook that they do not support FF plugins. Firefox is my default browser. I also have IE7 to use when I need to. I tried to install Zynga game bar in IE 7 and it worked. There must be some little thing I am missing with getting Firefox to install game bar. I had no struggle to install in IE 7 - it went smoothly. I want to have this on FF browser as it is my favourite.

I think that APS is not working properly. It is too acurate. When I just move my laptop in APS application I can see that my laptop is shaking for a 30 seconds and then my hard drive is stopped. I knew that everything couldn't be great. How can they (Lenovo) publish drivers without testing them?? Now there are two drivers, first the MOST important - switchable graphics - and now APS. I am just wondering why always Ideapads have to have problems with drivers?? We were waitng for a year without any support and now they give us faulty drivers. CONGARTUATIONS Lenovo!!!
