I can't address that specific app but, from what I've seen here on the forum, there isn't anything that works well with Flash.

Flash - browser refresh problem

I have created a website completely in Flash. http://www.impact-martialarts.com When the browser's refresh button gets pressed the site does not always reload properly, often freezing one frame before the content loads.
Did I miss something? Does anyone have any ideas? Same issue, multiple browsers Mac or PC.

use the html published by flash. do you still see the problem? if yes, post the url of the embedding html published by flash that displays the problem.

Full flash browser - background

I am a very inexperienced actionscripter so any help here
would be great. I am trying to load a random background in a flash
clip, and resize that into the full browser dimensions. What I have
working now is an "unscaled" resize... The background clip image
distorts. This is fine for a gradient or solid color, but not
working for images. Any ideas?

Just add a flvcomponent without skin to the background and use the below code on the timeline.

Flash browser for iPad?

Hi all, my workplace is going computerized and I need to access my payslips online. Problem is I have an iPad 2 and the system needs flash player. The default Safari can't do it, I've tried Puffin but I need "Java iview runtime". If possible a free trial first would be preferable, just to check if it works before I buy it.
If anyone knows of a browser that can do this, it would be greatly appreciated. x

You could also try Skyfire, iSwifter and Photon which 'work' on some sites. But if the site also uses Java then they probably won't work either as Java isn't supported.

Updating Shared Object Crashes Flash Browser Plugin

All of a sudden- I suppose since the last Flash Player update- my Flash app crashes when it tries to update a shared object property that holds an array of radio button groups. The original code uses a 'setDirty' to update the property when a radio button is selected.
The Shared Object property is set to the group when the app initializes- it only seems like when a button is selected that it causes the problem.
I have tried it several other ways, like setting the property to nothing and then back to the array, setting it publicly and privately- still crashes.
It has crashed IE, Firefox, and Safari on Windows XP, and Safari and Firefox on Mac OSX.
This is a serious problem- my application will need some serious retooling to work around this bug.

Flash can not locate the webcam on my iPad when using 'photon' Is there a solution?

hope someone can answer some simple questions.
I have the problem that i can not use all of my soundcards inputs on mac in order to stream with a flash applet.
On windows everything is fine and all channels are choosable:

Selecting the channels in the drivers or system panel does not work. I contacted the soundcard vendor and
they say its adobes turn to fix this. I also contacted bambuser and they also said they can not help. Also
other flash applets like ustream.tv´s applets do only work on Windows...
So who can help?
Can someone answer this or poing me to a person that can verify this?

Yes that is the conclusion of what came out after contact with the vendor.
You can select what you want in the system or soundcard panel only channel 1 and 2 work.

Dont get me wrong, i love my playbook but this wait for the Android compability player its taking too long, and we are not getting any new and valuable apps lately.

Flash browser back button

Hi guys, hopefully someone can help me on this!
I am using the deepLink function and am keen for my button mc
to navigate to a marker on another scene.
In Scene 1, the first frame within the button mc has the
following code:

This navigates to a frame labeled '$/news/' in the same
scene. My ideal situation is for 'news' to be in Scene 2 and for
this button navigate to a frame labeled '$/news/' in Scene 2.
Is this possible?
Also I have noticed the above Actionscript goes to the
relevant frame but does not automatically play (as per the
gotoAndPlay function). Is there a way to make it play
automatically.

Flash does not work on Chrome browser.

All embedded flash objects for all of our client websites have suddenly stopped displaying in the past three/four days. I haven't changed anything that would cause this. It isn't a problem having to do with Chrome/Flash Browser settings because the missing flash is seen on three of my computers. There are are issues with Firefox and Internet Explorer. Anyone else having these problems? I have tried to find out on my own but can't come up with a reason or a fix. I'm pretty desperate because I know that tons of my clients use chrome and if I don't get a fix I'm going to have to take out all of the flash components and go back to static graphics/objects. Help Please!!!!

Ich möchte in der Bridge (CS6) eine Webgalerie erstellen. Wenn ich die Vorschau in Browser aktiviere, sehe ich die Galerie nicht in Safarie mit den getroffenen einstellungen, sondern es wird der Flash Builder geöffnet.
Kann mir jemand weiterhelfen? Als Standardbrowser ist Safari eingestellt.

im 8ter Player testen möchtest, dann kannst Du das mit
dem Player machen, der
sich mit installiert, wenn Du Flash 8 installiert.

Flash content that utilizes webcam crashes browser

I believe this issue may effect ALL SONY VAIO laptops. Any
Flash content that utilizes the webcam will crash the browser. I
have tested in IE and Opera.
I am currently running Vista Business and have reproduced
this in Vista Ultimate with the same laptop(VGN-TT190).
Basically go to youtube and choose to upload a video using
"Quick Capture". When the flash content loads it will crash the
browser. This happens on ANY flash content that accesses the
webcam. Even adobe's own webcam test.
Another way to crash flash/browser would be to right click
any flash content. Choose settings. Got to webcam settings and the
browser will crash.

I have talked to Sony about this and we have reached a
workaround.
it involves a file called BtwVdpCapFilter.dll (it is a
bluetooth profile that essentially allows people to share their
webcam across bluetooth BUT no one uses this) and it is what is
crashing when you access the webcam thru IE/Firefox/Opera.
So go to C:\windows\system32 and rename it to anything for
example BtwVdpCapFilter1.dll and everything should be fine. Sony
said they will be releasing a patch for this.
