  • Why the hell ADOBE FLASH PLAYER 10.2 DOESN'T WORK on Firefox 4???

Adobe Flash Player 10.2 doesn't work on firefox 4. I downloaded 10 times, I installed and again, "Please install ADOBE FLASH PLAYER"

You appear to have it installed twice. Your system specs show you have both Shockwave Flash 9.0 r28 and Shockwave Flash 10.2 r159 installed.
What I suggest you do here is to uninstall Flash using Adobe's uninstaller which you can download from here: [http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe uninstall_flash_player.exe]
Close Firefox before you run the uninstaller, then reboot.
Then manually install Flash using this file: [http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe install_flash_player.exe] Close Firefox again before you run it.

  • Where the hell is that old flash player?

    Hi guys,
I'm new here , just wanted to ask you a question.
last years I had an old flash player that was standalone and
I run flash games and other swf files with that.
but not only me , I see lots of other people want that old
    standalone flash player.
It had an black icon with a white F on it.
please let me know how can i get it.
    thanks.

There never was standalone player for download. It only comes
    exclusively with the installation
of Flash application. Publicly available players are only
browser based. If you have an old Flash app,
then you can get the player. That's the only way to have
    standalone, installing Authoring flash program.
By the way, when you say "lots of other people...", what you
mean? I see this post first time
in the forum... Perhaps you use wrong phrasing and the thing
you are looking for is not Standalone
    Player?

  • Non-Flash Player Problem from Hell!

To anyone out there who installed the .45 release of the
Flash player and thought that it was the reason why some websites
no longer would display part of a page's content, well, I bet you
are running Symantec's Norton Internet Security 2007 with the
    "Add-on Pack" installed!
If you are, go to the Norton Protection Center, select the
"Norton Add-on Pack" tab, and turn off Ad Blocking. You might want
to also delete temp files, etc. on your browser (just in case!) and
then close any and all browser windows you might have open.
You should now be able to see all content in pages such as
www.mlb.com and www.delta.com. I am sure there is a workaround with
entries that can be made in the ADVANCED screen where one can
configure Ad Blocking for individual websites, but I am thrilled to
have mine working and have not had time to look into it.
Please feel free to post any workarounds as you uncover them.
    Hope this helps!

I think you are mixing up a couple of things, i.e. Adobe Reader 9.3.3, which is in no way related to Flash Player.

  • Flash Player will NOT work in useless Windows 8.1

I am now regretting upgrading to Windows 8.1 Flash Player (even after following ALL of the reccomended fixes on the forums) will NOT work in Windows 8.1 It is now clear that there is no official fix for this - if there was, Microsoft would put out an update which would fix the problem. As such, we are left with a bunch of patched-together "maybe this will work" unofficial fixes - of which none work.
As with many others with this problem, I have Windows 8.1, 64 bit system with IE 11. Yes, I have the latest flash player installed. Yes, I can see the bouncing ball or whatever the hell it is in the grey box.. or the clouds moving in the other box. Yes, Shockwave in enabled in manage add-ons. Yes, ActiveX Filtering is not checked under Safety. I have gone through this checklist so many times, my head is spinning. The most annoying part when I "test" to see if the latest Flash version is installed (sigh, of course it is) is this message: "You aren't running IE in Windows 8" Well duuhhh. Of course I'm not. I just upgraded to your stupid 8.1 platform.
So is somebody asleep at the switch at Microsoft? They roll out 8.1 and screw everybody who installs it when it doesn't work properly with Flash? Shouldn't they have tested this first? Why hasn't this problem been fixed yet? It is apparent that I'm not the only one who is frustrated beyond the point of seeing white at this incompetence.
Does anyone know if there is a fix coming out for this outrageous error? Or shall we all just sit back and twiddle our thumbs like the gang at Microsoft?

The problem isn't with Flash Player... It's with Internet Exploder. Pages and sites can't recognize the browser, so there's no way imaginable that they'll recognize the plugins in the browsewr they can';t recognize in the first place.  Microsoft is (and has been) aware of this problem, and their response is one of denial that would make the Obama adminsitration jealous.
"There's nothing wrong with the browser, it's the entire Internet that's messed up." or "It can't be our browser, it's 3.5 billion users' computers that have the problem."
Microsoft says to use "Compatibility View" and pretend you're using something else. I could never stand Microsoft's 110% pure garbage excuse for a browser, and have ALWAYS used something else.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.
Free yourself from Microsoft. You won't regret it.

  • Adobe flash player crashing my whole computer could anyone please help?

Is this just a win vista problem or something?
    Computer specs:

         Current Mode: 1280 x 900 (32 bit) (60Hz)
Everything is up to date explorers, java, direct x, video cards, checked every single driver...
    This is my problem:
The newest flash player crashes everytime I open certain web pages like failblog or tinychat which requires a webcam
I'm not sure what is causing it but it's only when i'm on those webpages that it crashes...
I can go on youtube kongregate steam and I can play tons of games the only thing I cant do is go on certain websites that messes with the newest version of flash for some reason...
I can use ANY other version of adobe flash and it won't crash at all but the problem with using the older versions is that I can't use my webcam on certain sites.
Will there be another update release for adobe flash that will fix this problem? The previous version was fine I don't know what was changed but will it get fixed?
And yes I have also been into the error logs but it doesn't show anything and the codes that it does show, people don't know what the hell it means lol just a bunch of binary number like data...I could post that but I doubt it would be of any help it's just a few short lines of numbers on each crash...I have purposely crashed my computer about 2 times to check if error logs popup and to see what is crashing the flash player but nothing changes in the crash log..
So to sum my problems up into a short paragraph....newest flash player crashes my computer when I go on webcam/webchat/certain websites with flash videos on it, also if I right click and try to tamper with the settings it also crashes my computer...I would like to know if there's a possible fix for this or will there be another update released anytime soon?
Please help and thank you for all future responses I will continue to use older versions of flash player till this problem is resolved, also on my newer i-7 620 processor 5850 ati laptop it crashes but rarely although I can use my webcam on msn on that computer but this is one has problems....

Sorry I wasn't able to respond for a while I work two jobs so I   really don't have time for this although I would still like to get this   solved very much.
In the event viewer all it says is that there was an unexpected shut down.
I  have checked and updated everything on both computers I tried to   disable hardware acceleration and that still didn't change anything.
Sometimes  when I try to just right click on a flash player and change  the  settings it crashes, if I try to load certain pages it crashes, if I   try to use a webcam chat on a webcam site it crashes. Though I can   still view other people's webcams in chat ex: tinychat I could be in   there chatting away with some friends from across country and nothing   will happen until I click webcam and flash player asks to allow, it  will  crash if I try to right click anywhere and that little flash  settings  popup it crashes.
All of this happens when I use the most  current version of flash  player any other previous version will not  crash when doing any of this  although I can't use my webcam since the  website is running an updated  version which is why I would like to get  this problem fixed.
The new firefox update didn't help  at all it still just freezes.  There is no blue screen, no crash error  report, no event log. The event  viewer just says it was shut down  unexpectedly.
I also tried uninstalling all webcam  applications unplugging my  webcam and that didn't affect it at all.  I've done everything that  people have been doing on here to solve there  problems, I used the  search button and tried options from various  threads but none work for  me.
I can do everything  normally that requires flash player like play  games, watch videos, and  other stuff but it just crashes when I do those  certain things as  stated above. It's weird that there is no log, no  anything just a  freeze and I can't do anything to the computer i've  tried letting it  sit for about 15 minutes but it didn't respond. I used  ctrl alt del  after a while, alt tab, alt f4, holding down certain keys,  holding the  power button in for a while and nothing will happen. It just  sits  frozen untill I unplug it.
Is there anything I can do to get an error log of the crash since event viewer isn't working?

  • Camera just up and stopped working with flash player. SUUUUPER annoying. Any ideas?

    Hi:
Windows XP SP3 32bit, latest updates applied
    Firefox 3.6.6 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET4.0E))
    IE 8.0.6001.18702
    Flash Player 10,1,53,64
HP EliteBook 8530w with built-in HP camera (brand spankin' new).
So Flash Player today decided it doesn't want to work with my webcam. I have pulled my hair out trying to figure out what the problem is. The camera works fine with other video camera software, such as Adobe Flash Live Encoder 3.1, for example, or the various Microsoft cam tools. But Flash Player just won't see it. When I visit a website that uses the camera through flash, all I get is a black box. I never get the privacy screen that asks me if I would like to allow the site temporary access to my camera. If i go into my settings, and go to the camera tab, it shows my camera device in the dropdown box. But you know how if you double-click the little box under the dropdown, it should activate your camera and display a little video inside that box? That doesn't work for me. All I get is this:
It doesn't matter if I use FF or IE. I've re-installed Flash Player, both the FF version and the Ax version. To no avail. I've logged into my computer as a different user, because hell maybe it's some weird dumb thing in the Flash Player cache or something. Nope.
Now here's the super, super, super annoying part: I just recently moved to this laptop and one of the things I was looking forward to was a computer where my webcam would FINALLY work with flash player again. Yes, that's right: my old computer had this exact same problem. And in both cases, at one point the camera worked with Flash player no problem, and then at some point, it just stopped working.
This makes me think, of course, that the problem is some nefarious piece of software I've installed, but I can't think of what that is. I know the camera was working with my new computer as early as last week. Recently I've installed a bunch of software, including Adobe Media Live Encoder 3.1, Flash Professional CS5, and the Adobe Connect add-in. I've uninstalled everything except CS5, because, hey, who wants to re-install that if they don't have to? I'll do that as a last result, but the guy sitting next to me has the entire CS5 suite installed and camera works fine for him with Flash Player (same exact hardware too), so I don't think it's that. Other than that, I dunno. I've got VS2008 and 2010 installed. GoToMeeting. Office. That's about it.
So. Any ideas? Any thoughts on how I could even start to debug the issue? Logging or something? Any help is much appreciated.

    Yes.
    Victory is mine.
    VICTORY IS MINE!!!
    Solution:
    Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg
    Set
    AVHardwareDisable=1
    to:
    AVHardwareDisable=0
Restart your browser. Done. Camera works now.
I really want to shout this solution from the rooftops, because try Googling the solution sometime. I did. I failed. You will too. Hopefully if I use some more 18-point bold font, Google will index it faster, because that's the way it works right?
I actually had no idea that Flash Player has a folder in Windows\system32 at all, and I definitely had no idea that this file existed. I am guessing some stinking app I installed decided I needed AVHardwareDisable set to 1 for some reason (effers). I found out about the location by just lazily searching through the windows registry for "Flash Player" and eventually saw it pointing to that directory. A little more poking around and I found this file.
Those of you who actively support this forum: please keep this in the back of your mind, next time someone has audio/video input problems with Flash Player. I've found an awful lot of forum posts from people with cameras not working, and I bet a good portion of them need this fix. Reinstalling Flash Player will not fix it. Here's hoping the solution comes up in Google for the next unlucky soul.

  • Flash Player 10.1 is not fully active after over 50 uninstalls and reinstalls.

About 2 weeks ago I started noticing this. I would load up Facebook games and it would take forever. Then, once it did finally load the images were gone and those strange java encoded images were in their place instead. My report log has no indication of crashes during this time, however in the last week I have had a getPlus+R stopped working, a GfxUI APPCRASH, and an HP Advisor APPCRASH. Also been getting many errors. The most recent when trying to reinstall Adobe DLM, I got "Firefox could not install at http://platform.adobe.com/NOS/getPlusPlus/1.6/gp.xpi download error 228".
When I do get to a facebook game it says that I do not have the updated version of the flash player, so I go and uninstall it, restart my computer, reinstall it, restart my computer and still get it. I have done this over 50 times and counting. I keep doing this because every once in a while the flash player does not act up for a couple hours, usually when I install a new browser to sort of "trick" it, I guess. It catches on though...cause today's browser was Opera and it worked great for about 2 hours, earlier in the week I tried safari with some success for about 4 hours. I'm gonna run out of browser options and my time with this trick only seems to get less and less hours from each time I do it.  I have cleared my cache hundreds of times during this process as well. I really do not understand how to check or set the flash player settings though. I would think that they would have a safe default though, because I never installed any adobe products when I got the computer, so I assume they came preinstalled and set properly. Also when I bought this laptop a couple months ago, I got that stupid Norton thing which would tell me to activate it every time I logged on so I said hell with it and activated the trial version just to make it go away. I did this about a week and a half ago and it seems that this is when everything really started to fall apart. There are so many things I have tried that I cannot even begin to list them all. I have downloaded so many other Adobe trials to see if they'll fix the problem, but I don't really even know how to use them or what they are really for. I should mention that I am using Windows 7 and connecting via wifi. I can browse the internet with no problems and watch youtube videos with no problems as well. For the most part, just those facebook games are affected by this. I think it killed some of my drivers though, because I went and downloaded a bunch of intel drivers and one actually flashed "GfxUI" for a moment while it was installing, and that was one of the crashes I got. I really don't know where else to go from here. I have Internet explorer but rarely use it. Kind of hopeless here. I really don't expect any possible solutions to this since no one else seems to be having the same problems. Most people can just uninstall it and reinstall it for it to be fixed in most forums. Well, I guess I'll check back and see if anyone has an answer before I take my computer back under it's supposed warranty.

Hi a, Glad you removed Norton. On Skype, go to Tools & Manage add ons. Find any add ons that pertain to
Skype and Disable them. Once these problems have been solved then you can always enable any that have been disabled.
Anytime you lose an Internet connection you will receive those kind of errors. Wireless connections are subject to a loss of signal. I would contact your Carrier and report them.
Any site or game that tells you to update Flash Player, ignore. You did the right thing going to Youtube. If that works, then disregard anything to the contrary. That site is having a problem, not you. Take care not to disrupt your Flash Player Installation!!
On Avast not being able to update would most likely be due to the loss of signal. That Avast updated 3 times is not unusual. That is just a sign of additional risks. I had Avast and during some periods that was done also. No problem.
While you are still in the process of removing programs and troubleshooting, if there are any add ons/plug-ins/extensions that are causing an issue, I would disable them. Once you have your troubleshooting done, then see about them.
On McAfee, didn't that Install with FP at one time? I think you removed that as I recall. You can refer to the instructions I gave you to remove it and make sure it is not there.
    Thanks,
    eidnolb

  • HT3810 For some reason I can not download adobe flash player to wach movie.web. That I trying to wach is :balkenyum

Hello To whom may concern,i try download adobe flash player to be able to wach music and show on :balkenyum web.but I can not down load this player. Can you hel p me wit that thanks

If you have an iOS device as is indicated by the iPhone listed in your footer, then there is no Adobe Flash Player available for iOS.
You cannot watch Adobe Flash movies from an iOS device.
If this is not an iOS device and you do have a Mac...
More specifically, do not download the Adobe Flash Player for Mac OS X from any web site other than the Adobe web site, and then only when you have specifically entered the Adoble site into your web browse,
If you are offered a download of Adobe products from any web sitesite - whether via a link at the site, or via a mail message or otherwise - do not allow the download.
Above and beyond the various security issues with the actual Adobe Flash Player, downloading "Flash Players" from other sites is how you compromise your system.
And make sure you keep your Adobe Flash Player current once you've installed it, as there have been security issues with that client.

    It's Android®...
There is no more Flash Player for Android and there won't be another. Android is no longer compatible with Flash Player. Playing Flash content is very processor consumptive and it drains your battery, also shortening the life of it. Android (Google) recommends using either "Dolphin" or "Puffin" as your browser if you need to view Flash content with a mobile device running Android. They're both availabe in the GooglePlay store. These browsers use "server side" rendering to reduce the load on your device.

  • Does Firefox Need Its Own Flash Player Install?

This is a brand new computer. IE8 32 bit version works fine with youtube. I install Firefox 3.6.3 and youtube says I need to install flash player 10 (it's already installed !). Saw in this forum other people have the problem too, but no definite solution. One guy there proposed that maybe flash wasn't installed for Firefox. WHAT? I've been under the impression that the flash player installs once on a computer, and all apps that need it, use it. Do I really need to install a second flash player specifically for Firefox? And if so, how the hell do I do that?
Here is the related forum link where "wotu" (4th post down) says to install flash for Firefox:
    http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/1/538231
== URL of affected sites ==
    www.youtube.com

IE uses a different version of Flash (ActiveX) thn other browsers use (the Plugin version), so yes you need to install Flash for Firefox (and Chrome, Safari, etc.).
    1. You need to use Firefox at the Adobe website to get the NPAPI version of Flash for non-IE browsers.
Download the Flash plugin from the Adobe [http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/thankyou/ Thank You!] page via:
'''If it does not start, [http://www.adobe.com/go/fptroubleshoot click here] for troubleshooting information.'''
On the [http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/support/index.html troubleshooting page] click the link at the bottom:
If you are still having problems, [http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe click here to download].
    Save it to your Desktop.
    2. Close Firefox using File > Exit
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed,
    3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.
    * On Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen).

  • Flash Player 10:  Adobe Misses the Mark

When I heard about the Flash Player 10 launch, I was
initially excited: there was some buzz about GPU optimization.
However, when I saw the new product demo, I was very disappointed.
Yes, there is GPU compositing, (useful for video and alpha
channel stuff) - but there has still been almost no movement toward
addressing what every developer will tell you is the main reason
Flash can not be used to develop a real-world application: it's too
damn slow. Without support for hardware rendering, Flash will
remain a sandbox toy for prototyping.
Adobe, please, please; listen to what developers have been
    telling you for years:
Flash is too slow. It needs to be optimized for faster
    playback. Really.
Frankly, no one is impressed with the real time Photo-shop
filters. Who the hell wants to "crystallize" a text field?
I have a message for the product manager who kept developers
employed creating those idiotic, time-wasting features:
"F___ you and the lens flare you rode in on."

    Chris,
Your post started out reasonable, but degenerated pretty
    quickly into
angry flamebating, so I'm not sure what sort of answer (if
    any) you're
    hoping for.
    > Without support for hardware rendering, Flash will
    > remain a sandbox toy for prototyping.
Flash Player 9,0,115,0 and higher supports hardware
    acceleration. I'm
not sure if that's what you mean by "hardware rendering," but
    this feature
does increase certain kinds of rendering overall. As for "toy
    prototyping"
... I guess you haven't seen (or aren't impressed with) the
    numerous app
examples out there, whether created in Flash or Flex. You
    haven't stated
what you consider an application with muscle, so it's hard to
    guage what
    you're referring to.

ActionScript 3.0 benchmarks at 10 times the execution speed
    of AS2,
thanks to the AVM2 (ActionScript Virtual Machine 2) module in
    Flash Player 9
and higher. The new virtual machine *has* been optimized: it
    was
re-written from the ground up, and the API differences
    between AS3 and AS2
reflect that. AS3 also allows for runtime types, which means
    objects
    request less system memory.
