Flash Security Error

I how can I solved the Flash Security Error? I can't view a chart that requires Flash.

Has anyone been able to resolve this issue? There is also a similar older post (http://forums.adobe.com/message/32592#32592) that has not been answered.
I have a Flex app on my website that downloads a file from the same place. Both are under the root directory. This works fine in IE7, IE9, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera. In IE8 I get the error (error text is "Error #2048"). This is on 32- and 64-bit XP machines.
I even tried putting a crossdomain xml file (which should not be needed) to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.

  • How can I fix 2121 sandbox security error, local swf MP3 player test calls MP3's from website?

    1st Issue.  I am a new user and am fighting #2121, #2044 & #2048 Flash security errors in getting an MP3 player to work as I test the fla file in Flash CS4 on my local computer.  The fla in Flash and swf in Dreamweaver calls mp3 files from our host server on the internet.
    After reading various sparce posts and Adobe articles on this issue, I have added a crossdomain.xml file at our websites root (see file below) and added the code, flash.system.Security.allowDomain in line 1 of the action script of the flash fla to allow our site access (-see script below).  These efforts have helped get the player to work better on our test site.
    But, I am still getting the 2121 error within Flash CS4 as I debug the player or play the swf in live view within Dreamweaver.  Playing the fla or swf will lock-up the Flash 10 player and crash the program. I am having the mp3 player access the mp3 files from our web site as I test the fla.
    Here is the debug message I am getting:
    Attemping to launch and connect to Player using URL C:\Web Site Files\Plank Productions afc\Plank Productions 2010\site\MP3_List_Player_AS3.swf [SWF] C:\Web Site Files\Plank Productions afc\Plank Productions 2010\site\MP3_List_Player_AS3.swf - 209827 bytes after decompression SecurityError: Error #2121: Security sandbox violation: Sound.id3: file:///C/Web%20Site%20Files/Plank%20Productions%20afc/Plank%20Productions%202010/site/MP3%5FList %5FPlayer%5FAS3.swf cannot access . This may be worked around by calling Security.allowDomain.

    Here is the crossdomain xml code:

    <allow-access-from domain="plankproductions.com" secure="false"/>
    </cross-domain-policy>
    Here is the AS3 in line 1 of the Fla file that I added:
    flash.system.Security.allowDomain("www.plankproductions.com", "plankproductions.com");
    2nd Issue.  The online playback of the mp3 player will play about 4-7 mp3’s then lock-up in Internet Explorer 8 on a pc.  I think that is related to flash security, not sure, I do not know how to debug the mp3 player on the web site.

    Questions.
    -How can I resolve the error 2121?
    -What as3 code do I need to target the local c drive to have security clearance and work properly, is this the problem?
    -Why is the mp3 player locking up on the web page?
    Thank you in advance for any help.

    Do you have the standard or debug player installed?  Such errors should not occur with the standard player.

  • Getting Security Error# 2048 while working in Flash 11.2

    Hi all,
    Greetings to all. Well So i prepared a widget written in Action Script 3. Here are my system configurations:
    OS: Windows 7
    Flash: 11.2
    Now when i make a SWF file and open it in my local host i can see the widget running with no problems.
    But when i wrapp the SWF file/ Flash Widget in HTML and then try to run it in my local host it is giving me security error 2048. Below is the error i am getting:
    Error 2048
    Error Security: 0:[SecurityErrorEvent type="securityError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2048"] - {"config":{"fragmentOutgoingMessages":true,"maxReceivedFrameSize":1048576,"fragmentationT hreshold":16384,"maxMessageSize":8388608,"closeTimeout":5000,"assembleFragments":true},"de bug":true,"extensions":[],"readyState":0,"bufferedAmount":0,"resource":"/1.0.0/events/anno tation.OQB15MCCCLO49620VHC4R8C8D/","port":25899,"useNullMask":false,"host":"127.0.0.1","pr otocol":null,"secure":false,"uri":"ws://127.0.0.1:25999/1.0.0/events/annotation.OQB15MCCCL O49620VHC4R8C8D/","connected":false}
    After some googling and visiting some forums/websites on the internet i also included the following cross domain parameters in the root location of my source code:
    <?xml version=\"1.0\"?> <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM \"http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd\"> <cross-domain-policy>
    <site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies="master-only"/>
    <allow-access-from domain="localhost" to-ports="*" secure="false" />
    <allow-access-from domain="*" secure="false" to-ports="{0,number,#}"/>" <allow-http-request-headers-from domain="*" headers="*"/>" </cross-domain-policy>
    Apart from the above settings i also made a mms.cfg file to include the DisableSocket=0 but still not working.
    I am using websocket connections in my widget and using open source lib AS3Websocket library.
    Can you guys anyone here can shed some light on this.It will be a huge help.
    Thank you and have nice time people.

    No not exactly...
    I am not using the code you pasted in the above post.
    Let me try that out and get back to you..
    Thanks for taking time and helping to solve this damn issue...;-)

  • Flash Player Security error when publishing HTML files

    I am new to the Captivate world and am just in love with the
    features - but I have been having a very difficult time publishing
    my "movies". I have 8 files that are all called upon in one movie
    (like a table of contents). I have abandon the though of publishing
    each as an EXE file - and have decided to go the HTML route.
    However when I try to run the published HTML file I get an Adobe
    Flash Player Security error - saying "Adobe Flash Player has
    stopped a potentially unsafe operation." It then says that the
    local SWF file is trying to communicate with the Internet-enabled
    HTM file.
    Can someone please tell me what this means? We are using
    Captivate for distance learning as well as internal - so I can't
    know for sure what the end-users will be using when the files are
    used.
    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to our community, Rachel
    Where are you running your movie from? If you are planning on
    running them from a server, there should be no need to worry about
    your end user seeing those messages. However, if you are planning
    on each user copying them to their own hard drive or if you are
    running from a CD-ROM, you may need to perform some trickery to
    make them work without issue.
    The message is occurring because there are links in some of
    the files that point to internet resources and the Flash player is
    seeing that as a potential security risk. So it is blocking the
    action until you pat it on the head and assure it the world will
    not, in fact, end if it shows you the content.
    If you wish to banish the screen on your PC, take a look at

  • Flash Player 10 Security - Error 2048

    Hello all, I'm running in to an issue with Flash Player 10
    and I can't seem to figure it out. I am using an HTTP server on an
    embedded device to serve SWF files which in turn connect back to
    the device (and other devices) for XML data. The connections are
    made back to
    http://deviceip/folder - I have
    no way to access the root folder of the server. This folder
    contains no crossdomain.xml file. With FP9 I was intercepting HTTP
    requests to
    http://deviceip/folder/crossdomain.xml
    and outputting this:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "
    http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
    <cross-domain-policy>
    <allow-access-from domain="*" />
    </cross-domain-policy>
    The debugger says that this file is depreciated but
    everything seemed to work fine on FP9. After upgrading to FP10 I
    started getting the Security Error #2048. From what I can
    understand at
    http://www.adobe.com/go/strict_policy_files
    the only fix for error 2048 is to specify a strict policy file that
    has the meta-policy of "all" at the root of the domain. I have no
    access to the root so this presents a problem.
    I did see that you can send some HTTP header information
    instead of using a crossdomain.xml file, but I couldn't tell where
    the FP is looking for that information. I can modify headers on
    responses
    http://deviceip/folder but not on
    the response from
    http://deviceip/ I assumed that is
    where the headers are checked which leaves me in the same boat.
    I'm hoping someone has a creative idea for me to try.
    Thanks!

    Nope, never have found a solution - the fact that someone
    actually replied has taken me off guard :) Maybe someone can shed
    some light on the issue - but don't hold your breath :)

  • Getting Flash Player Security Error when running extension.

    I had created a nifty utility which uses a Flash interface.  It worked fine in CS3, but after upgrading to CS4, I keep getting the Flash Player Security Error popup when I run it.
    =======================================
    Adobe Flash Player Security
    Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation.
    The following local application on your computer or network:
    C:\Program%20Files\Adobe\%20Photoshop%20CS4\Presets\...\ChopBot.swf
    is trying to communicate with this Internet-enabled location:
    <unknown>
    To let this application communicate with the Internet, click Settings.
    You must restart the application after changing your settings.
    [OK] [Settings...]
    In CS3, opening the Global Security Settings panel and adding the script's path to the trusted locations would fix this problem, and the utility would work going forward.
    In CS4, however, adding the script's path to the trusted locations seems to have no effect.
    I am using the ExternalInterface class in the Flash UI to communicate to and from the JavaScript.
    Has anyone else run into this issue and found a solution?

  • Adobe flash security setting panel error

    Issue is the following page no longer works as of today flash security setting https://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.ht ml so went to instead https://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.html however this does not function properly either, when I select the edit location and folder or files it closes and can't therefore set the setting. We use flash for a important application and users are currently affected as they can't get on as it doesn't work and can't get past this issue. Urgent issue.

    Hi, I guess this is (almost) the same for Windows 2000 users? I have several folders with older Adobe/Shockwave appdata in my German Windows 2000 installation, e.g. C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Hans-Jürgen Bardenha\Anwendungsdaten\Adobe\Flash Player and/or C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Hans-Jürgen Bardenha\Application Data\Adobe\Shockwave Player 11, created on the date or shortly after OS installation. So it's safe to simply delete them with all their content if you have this issue of a freezing Adobe Flash setting panel?
    By the way, I'm asking because I also experience freezing problems now with Flash content on sites that worked fine before the update to the latest plugin. Disabling hardware acceleration in v10.1. didn't help either, I'm using the newest Opera 10.60 final, but on a very old computer.

  • Security Error when creating a web service with Flex

    Hello comminuty.
    I'm using Flex to create a standalone application and I have to use web services to retrieve data from SAP.
    I used the bapi bapi_flight_getlist to create an associated WS that works fine (tested with the Eclipse's WS Explorer).
    In Flex Builder, I use the following code to create my web service:
         <mx:WebService
              showBusyCursor="true"
              id="service"

  • Security Error in accessing Web service from Flex.Where to put crossdomain.xml in axis container?

    Hi guys.
    Typically webservices are invoked across domains. Flash has defined certain policies which prevent crossdomain access. The only way to bypass this security feature is to put a crossdomain.xml file within the server root of the webservice provider i.e. in our case at http://abc.com. A sample example of crossdomain.xml is as below:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
    <cross-domain-policy>
         <site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies="all" />
         <allow-access-from domain="*" secure="false"/>
         <allow-http-request-headers-from domain="*" headers="*" secure="false" />
    </cross-domain-policy>
    If the crossdomain.xml is not added the developer will get “Security Error accessing URL” type of messages.
    The above mentioned information should be enough for you to get your flex based WebService client up and running.
    We are using axis2 to build webservices. We deployed the webservices under axis2 container under repository/srvices folder . But in Flex when we try to call the webservices we were getting the exception saying security error in accessing url. The solution is we need to put the crossdomain.xml o that it is loaded at runtime and allow us to access. In tomcat if we put the file under ROOT directory we could accss the file and we were able to access the webservices deployed under Tomcat. But I googled for Axis2 container and couldnt find any solution.
    Please post the reply if anyone knows the solution to it.
    Thanks
    Raja

    Hi. So, I did take a quick look at the Axis2 standalone server and didn't see any way to server up a file such as crossdomain.xml. It seems like it might be a useful enhancement to have the ability to serve up files even if this functionality was very simple/limited and nothing like a full blown http server.
    I'd log an enhancement request against axis2 if this is something you'd like to have.

  • Hotmail ad is causing Adobe Flash Player error...need a fix or workaround

    Hi,
    I'm using Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421 (64-bit edition) on a 64-bit Windows 7 machine and using Adobe Flash Player "Square" 10.3.162.28 ActiveX 64-bit.
    Whenever I check my e-mail on Hotmail, I get the following error:
    Here are some problems:
    1. When I click on "SETTINGS," the dialogue box closes, nothing else happens, and the problem doesn't go away, even after I restart the browser.
    2. The same problem occurs even when I use the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer with the latest Adobe Flash Player.
    3. The problem appears to be caused by a sidebar ad on the Hotmail home page.
    4. I must use Hotmail.
    5. I must use Internet Explorer for various reasons.
    I would like to not have this error box pop up all the time.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks...

    OK, here's the workaround I found:
    To fix the pop-up security error:
    1. Google "Adobe Flash Player Global Security Settings Panel". Here is the link I found:
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.htm l#117502
    2. Select "Always allow" from the settings panel.
    3. Close the browser and re-start it.
    This may not be an ideal solution, but it has been extremely painful to have to close literally dozens -- if not a hundred -- error boxes that kept popping up every day while I check my e-mail.

    really its strange only the site works if my flash builder is running , please help

      Thanks all for your attention, i have solved my problem and i think its a bug in the flash builder , the problem was that when you compile the application and you enabling Network Monitoring , the communication of the AMF channels done throw the  http://localhost:37813/flex2gateway/
    and that was the problem if you close the flash builder on your system that getaway dose not exist and on the hosted server there is no such address localhost by this port also so the client application witch is catch in you system try to access your localhost and that cause a security error and the address is also not exist .
    so the solution or we have to compile the project after we disable the Network Monitoring in flash builder .

  • Security Error

    The following code's HttpService request works when the swf
    is downloaded from the same server from where the
    request is made.
    But when I open a browser locally and open the swf without
    downloading or in a local Tomcat server, I get a security error. I
    did this with FB3 as well as with Flash SDK.
    I need to do a HttpService request to different servers from
    the same swf so how do I do this or what is my problem

    See FB help sys or LiveDocs on crossdomain.xml files.
    A cross domain file is necessary even when making a request
    of a sub-domain of where the SWF was downloaded, such as when the
    SWF coms from www.mysite.com but you are connecting to
    data.mysite.com.
